Can we play lone/rogue werewolves?

☾ SILENCE FALLEN - FAQ

Yes, and no. We will be allowing lone wolves for a short amount of time, and at a price - it is not in the wolf's nature to be alone, and none of them prefer it (those that do are culled, as they are determined to be "off" or mad). However, we recognize being a lone wolf is a valuable and fun plot point, so we will allow it for small stretches. Rogues are another matter. They are the confirmed mad wolves, or those that break pack structure intentionally. Rogues will not be allowed, as they don't tend to survive very long - though we may open them up as temporary characters for plots in the future!

One... Sorta. To begin, each group on Silence Fallen (Werewolf Packs, Vampire Seethes, Witch Covens etc) will only have one "canon" group - this is the group that will be on site regardless of activity. However! We will be offering ways that members can create their own groups, if they meet the requirements. So, one. But more to come!

☾ SILENCE FALLEN BOOK VS. SITE LORE - WEREWOLVES

Silence Fallen is entirely based off of the Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega books by Patricia Briggs. However, there will be some inherent differences - mostly via additions to Patty's lore, and a few changes to established lore to make things more playable. Below you will find a list of similiarities and differences!

Werewolves have been known to the human world since 2006, and remains so.

Bran Cornick is still the Marrok, leader of the North American Werewolves

Packs are still primarily patriarchal. Female wolves are lower ranked than male.

The majority of packs still remain prejudiced to homosexuality.

Mate bonds are for life. They require "marking" on SF.

Pack bonds require the blood and flesh of the Alpha.

Packs still have Seconds and Thirds.

Omegas are still very rare.

Female wolves are still rare.

Werewolves appear as oversized gray wolves, with bear-like front legs and paws.

Humans can now petition pack Alphas to be Changed. They must be approved by the Marrok.

Surviving the Change is roughly a 25% chance, if the person is a healthy adult in their prime.

Silence Fallen FAQ

No. Characters from the book will remain canon and in our world, but they will not be playable by anyone other than staff - and even then, only in special sitewide plots! Why? Because we respect the integrity of the characters Patricia created, and we understand fans of the books will visualize each character differently.
