on april fools i click on every rickroll i see no matter how obvious it is, it just feels like a cultural activity that requires my participation. as a citizen of the internet in good standing it is both my honor and a privilege to hear those opening notes and go "OH COME ON" but with the pure joy of childhood in my heart. imagine going through a whole april 1 without seeing rick astley.

@tobyfoxmademeascaly I haven’t seen/read Dungeon Meshi (yet) but my impression is that Laios would try to make a bone broth out of Papyrus, and during a fight he’d realize that Papyrus’ endless bone attacks would be an ethical source of never-ending bone broth. Papyrus agrees to be a supplier if Laios gets rid of the white dog by any means necessary.

finding comfort in the idea that Papyrus is socially inept, fully aware of it and trying his best anyhow. that he might be annoying to new groups or certain people, and that he’s tolerated out of politeness but no connection can really be made. that he doesn’t like to think about this because that’s a spiral into self-deprecation and he doesn’t want to impose that on others and trigger their deprecating thoughts. that he sees groups of friends who live near each other and have gotten along for such a long time and always have plans to hang out and have fun, and he stays at home all day, only leaving when it’s on his to-do list of necessities.

he is terrific and funny and his loud expressions do not make him less likable and his endlessly unique dialogue is part of what makes him so much fun. he monologues and repeats himself and is kind because he wants to be. and maybe, by wording it like this, I can feel better about me.

I’ve been struggling with some stuff lately and the reminder that ‘just like beloved blorbo from my game’ is. comforting #2. the first comment is additionally comforting. more people than he knows about. #3. if anyone wants to write a fic with projection headcanons. don’t be nervous. this guy wants to read them. #(who’s ’this guy’ ? me? the person I’m reblogging from? someone on the sideline who isn’t on the post? we’ll never know)
