i don't know if it's actually intentional, or meant to be read this way, but i'm kinda obsessed with how pete seems to subconciously protect steph with his body in the summoning- i refuse to believe otherwise honestly it's fucking cute. (i'd lowkey love to see what the script says or know what joey was directed to do during this scene, or even if it's purely an acting choice from joey)

I’m not super active in Starkid internet circles so idk if this is something that’s been talked abt before/anyone else’s theory/a common theory etc but.
I rewatched NPMD last night (the proshot is GORGEOUS) and developed something of a. crack theory? Actual theory? I’m not sure anymore. It could be both.
One of the lines in Dirty Girl sung by Max is “I am expecting you to be-betray me” which is a really interesting line on its own in the context of the rest of the play. It’s foreshadowing, it’s innocuously set in the middle of a sexy song, it’s wholly overlooked as Grace drools over fantasy!Max’s crucifix. But… why is it even there? What’s the point of that line in GRACE’S FANTASY? Why would her fantasy of Max expect her to betray him?
My theory. My theory is that it’s not really HER fantasy at all. Or… it is, but it’s complicated.
The whole musical, the entire power struggle with Max dying in the Waylon house eventually leading to Grace taking up her holy crusade to kill all dirty dudes using the Black Book and invoking the Lords in Black, only happens because Grace sets it all in motion. Because she gets horny, and engages with a fantasy of Max who appears to her and tells her… that he’s expecting her to betray him.
All I’m saying is that I wouldn’t put it past the Lords in Black to somehow be able to engage with the waking world (or NOT the waking world— Grace specifically opens her eyes when her dad knocks on her door at the end of Dirty Girl, if I remember correctly, like she was fantasising or DREAMING with her eyes closed) and beam a vision/dream/what-have-you of Max Jaegerman directly into Grace’s head in order to fuck with her and set THEIR plans into motion.

Also lmk if there’s anything you’d want to see in the rps! I have a book of witchcraft that’ll be a stand-in for the Black Book and a Wiggly but that’s about it so far

the best plot twist that i think makes tgwdlm Strongest by being the earliest and impacted the most by character and lore reveals is that the whole act 2 climax of We gotta destroy the meteor means LITERALLY NOTHING actually because theyre just completely wrong the brain isnt in the meteor its GOD so even what the main character ends up dying for literally wouldnt even matter even if they dont come back as a zombie whats stopping again, GOD from sending millions of these things across the country, the WORLD, have you ever seen the lsoh directors cut. that shit aint hard for again, GOD. you fucked up good

Thinking about how the main couples in the Hatchetfield universe are always doomed by the narrative, because they love eachother, and that's their fatal flaw, and (most) have a bad ending;
Paul and Emma in TGWDLM, where Paul succumbs to the infection and (assumingly) kills Emma. But also in Forever & Always, where the originals get killed and replaced by lab-made doppelgangers. (And including the nuke in BF)
Lex and Ethan in BF, where Ethan dies protecting Hannah but Lex never finds out. Also in Yellowjacket, where they split up by other means, and Lex and Hannah go to California, leaving Ethan alone in hatchetfield
Tom and Becky in BF, where they reconnect and find happiness after the deaths of both their partners, only for them to die together, at the very end, by the nuke. Also in Jane's a Car, where Jane possesses Becky
Miss Holloway and Duke in Killer Track, where Holloway sacrifices herself to save Rose, and Duke reports her 'death' because he didn't read the letter she wrote which reveals she is not actually dead, thus resulting in Holloway erasing everybody's memories of her appearance, including Duke's.
Stephanie and Peter are the only couple (that i can think of) that have had a good ending in both stories they played a part in, Abstinence Camp and NPMD.
However, all the couples mentioned always find eachother again, no matter the universe.
Paul and Emma find eachother in every musical, we either see them meet for the first time (TGWDLM, NPMD) or we see them (probably) a couple months into their relationship (BF)
Tom and Becky will always be highschool sweethearts (the timeline split in 2005), and they will always find eachother again after the death of Jane and the murder of Stanley. (BF, Jane's a Car, the (hopefully) future Becky Barnes Climbed a Tree)
Lex and Ethan will always raise Hannah together, and they will always promise eachother they will make it to California (BF, Yellowjacket)
Duke will always find and fall for Miss Holloway all over again, even after forgetting her (end of Killer Track)
TLDR; Most couples in the hatchetfield universe will have bad endings, their fatal flaws being the promises they gave eachother and their love for eachother, which ultimately leads to their demise/tragic ending. But will eventually find eachother again, no matter the timeline
(it's inevitable)

Personally I think we as a fandom should try to get Daddy/Killer Track and Yellow Jacket to 100k views on YouTube by Halloween

i think romantic feelings creeping up on emma is. So funny, shes built herself a nice little personal bubble until a guy who can tell her all about the wild intricate history of paint drying shows up then shes fighting the worst demons.....LIKE LIKING SOMEONE
Tumblr media
YESYESYES EXACTLY
Emma liking someone >>> the literal apocalypse
Like why does she have a crush on the human personification of elevator music. This can’t be happening

Make me Choose: Paulkins or Lexthan?
“I’m Emma’s boyfriend.”
“Well, we haven’t really but a label on it yet-“
“But we are intimate.”
