I am also a woman who is jaded because of being constantly told that women are nurturing and that women play healers/supports in video games and such, but I hate pretending that female characters having healing powers in fantasy is automatically bad, makes them weak and it's "antifeminist". Being a healer is not weak, it's not lesser and doesn't make someone inferior to people who fight or use harmful magic and abilities.

For the record, I don't hate Illidan, I actually like him a lot, I just like criticizing the writing between TBC and Legion, where in TBC they tried so hard to make him responsible for every evil in the whole expansion (for the greater good of course) and then in Legion wrote him as he should've been the whole time. Like I love criticizing the sheer disconnect and the fact that they literally blame him for everything in TBC.

Thinking how Altruis is friends with Nethrandamus and we know that thanks to Illidan collecting as many people as possible in his 4D chess in TBC, he enabled Zuluhed the Whacked to do terrible shit, and he enslaved the Netherwing Dragons. This included him enslaving Karynaku and her brood (and with the guy who had hand in what happened to Alexstrasza, I hate the implications).
So this just piles up more reasons for Altruis to think Illidan is too far gone and betray him. I wish more was said about his friendship with Nethrandamus since no doubt he would be happy that his flight eventually gets freed and no doubt him helping Altruis is because he saw what demons and orcs are doing to their flight and family.

I feel that Altruis as a character, retrospectively, became a lot more problematic in his decisions and betrayal of the Illidari because Illidan had a lot of his bad actions retconned, recontextualized or straight up swiped under the rug.
Altruis as a character who was written in TBC acted with the knowledge of the characters in TBC and that knowledge got recontextualized with Legion without touching upon him. Altruis acted in a way that betrayed his order after watching the amount of suffering Illidan's actions caused on innocent people despite the "greater good"

It's been 9 years and I am still not over how good Rey and Finn were in TFA and then they ruined that for the rest of the franchise and I never liked Star Wars since

every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).

While Warcraft draws different kinds of influences for the orcs, a lot of them based on this idea of a "barbarian" and a lot of them based on the aesthetics of vikings and such, we cannot really deny that there are also equal influences drawn from Central Asian cultures as well as black culture that is woven in a lot of orcish aesthetic, from some of the hairstyles given to them in canon (like the Warcraft film and the comics) down to things like their /dances ingame.

I watched the Garrosh death scene and there was a moment I felt bad for him. Not in the sense that anything he said absolved him of his crimes, or even explained them, more how he began acting like a child and shifting blame onto Thrall (who is younger) because he knew he will die and this was the only thing he could do to cope with it
