I want y’all to understand how hard it is to find a 2D artist for animation. There’s a reason why there’s barely any 2D animations recently. So stop complaining about the 3D animation, cause the 3D animation ain’t the problem. It’s the designing of the 3D animation that y’all don’t like.

No book will ever devastate me more than Twilight. Cause it had such a camp, teenage idea and WASTED it. Wasted it with bad writing, misogyny, racism, sexism, and just filled with a bunch of nothing… and yet filled with everything that it could’ve been. It’s actually a tragedy—a literacy tragedy.

Imagine what we could’ve had. Just for a moment.

Idk bout y’all but in my mind, the perfect Twilight would be Bella being a vampire hunter, Angela being a witch, I would make Jessica a fucking vampire cause why not. I would’ve had Mike have Riley’s storyline. The Quiluete tribe wouldn’t be the fucking Quiluete tribe because why would I include a real Indigneous tribe without their knowledge and sprew up a bunch of NONSENSE. No sane individual would do that, right? Right. Oh and Edward would be likeable. Maybe a hot take, but I would’ve improved Charlie’s parental role more, cause I just don’t he’s trying his very ebst of being the parent Bella needs. But that’s just me.

Essentially with Bella’s character, she would be this quiet, stoner girl that found out she’s a vampire hunter, who falls in love with a vampire. If that’s not teenage camp, I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS.

People on this website are talking about the Twilight TV show as if there is any way to remake this story to make it NOT morally reprehensible. An indigenous writer in the writers room and indigenous people cast in the indigenous roles will not make the story of twilight any less racist. No matter what story you tell, Stephanie's money will go to Stephanie. It will not, cannot, is not ever good. Idk why this is so difficult for ppl to understand. It's a book written by, for, and about white supremacy and patriarchal domination. The damage of it's initial release and popularity is done, and I think there is value in talking about it, making fun of it, and changing it's meaning in retrospect, but there is zero value in re-monetizing it in anyway, period, ever.

No, no wait a minute. The more I think about Stefan and Caroline… the more I like them.

They both even each other out and when you think about how they really had that friends to lovers pipeline is so nice. Like he was really there for her when she became a vampire, and in return she was there for him with his blood addiction. Idk, I think their personalities balance together. And in return, I think I tolerate Caroline a lot more when she’s with Stefan, vice versa.

I WILL always defend Jacob on this. Cause of two things:

1. Yes, Jacob is gonna answer the house phone. Why? Because he’s probably been to this house more than Bella has. This is probably not the first time since he’s answer their house phone.

2. “He’s planning a funeral” Why would Jacob think that Edward would think Charlie is planning BELLA’S funeral. Mind you, Jacob doesn’t know about the confusion between Alice, Rosalie and Edward regarding towards Bella jumping off a cliff Jacob answered the phone then got pissed off cause he could tell there was a vampire on the phone. And did he lie??? NO. Charlie WAS planning a fucking funeral. How was Jacob supposed to know that Edward would hear “funeral” and fuck off and delete himself???

Stefan is supposed to be the better man until the end of the show. At the end of the show, Damon is the better man. The only way for me to explain this is by putting it in school context.

You have one brother having lived as a human for 145 years, and one brother having lived as a vampire for 145 years. Consider Damon a 1st grader and Stefan a 12th grader at being human. Expect the 12th grader to be smarter than the 1st grader, so when Stefan does bad, he deserves more shit. He's expected to be smarter, better. By the time the show ends, Damon surpasses Stefan. He's the better man. That's why I tell fans Stefan was being honest in his comment about Damon being the better man. Because he is... but that's not until the end of the show, not until 1864 Damon is resurrected... In that moment when Stefan actually sees his brother for the first time in 145 years.

I want you to know that I don't support Klaroline because I believe that Klaus never truly loved Caroline. He was infatuated with her because he found her beautiful and admired her kindness and compassion, but what he felt for her was not love.

How can you claim you love someone when you constantly hurt them?

Klaus ordered Tyler to bite Caroline. He threatened to kill her. He stabbed her and then infected her with his werewolf venom. He did absolutely nothing until it was almost too late as she was painfully dying from his werewolf venom.

That's not love.

I'm not a Klamille shipper either, by the way. But I am not a Klaroline shipper and never will be.

I definitely see what you mean, but at the same time, it has been shown over and over time again throughout TVD (idk much about the originals because I have not watched that entire show) that Klaus do not know how to love people. And I compare that to his relationship with his siblings.

I know that deep down he does love his siblings, and yet, he daggers them whenever its convenient for him or if one of them interferes with his plans. I don’t know what his relationship with his daughter or Camille or his siblings in the Originals is like, but in TVD, Klaus SUCKS at loving people, even when he’s trying to. He lets his foolish pride and cruelty get in the way within his relationships. I do believe he loves Caroline, but he would’ve never shown it in its entireity because he doesn’t properly know how to. And sometimes it’s like that for people because love is enver shown the same for everyone, even if it’s in a toxic form.

Viewing Klaroline in a critical view, they are toxic for each other. Because of Klaus physically hurting her, and Caroline using him for her own personal gain or her friends’ gain. Most of the time whenever she’s being nice to him is to either distract him or to get something from him. The only time that I have seen them in a pure setting where they weren’t hurting eachother or using each other was at the Mystic Falls pagent in season 4. And even then, Caroline was practically forced to be his date lmao.

However, viewing their ship in another view, I could see the beauty in their ship, as well. If the writers really tried (or if TVD ended at season 4 and allowed Caroline to crossover to the Originals), I think they would’ve had an amazing growth and would’ve had a great storyline together. As I watch the show over and over again, a lot of the ships (probably all of them) had its flaws and were borderline toxic or should’ve never happened (maybe not Bonenzo, tho, they were great). The show is not particularly… “good” at handling their relationships, and that goes with friends too. But honestly, sometimes you have look deeper into the context that you’re given and kind of ignore the “bad writing” aspects of the show.

Lets look at Caroline’s character more critically…

Did she really have character development after she became a vampire?

The only thing that I could posisbly see development is her insecurity…. maybe. But this thought came to mind because that one scene in season 1 in Elena’s kitchen, with Caroline, Bonnie ad Elena and Bonnie tries tot ell Caroline’s a witch and she’s not even listening. And Caroline’s all like:

“I listen! When do I note listen?!”

Literally, all the time babes. You don’t pay attention either. This carries literally all the way until season 8. Caroline is not considerate of people’s feelings, and she has no social awareness. And I say this because of her treatment towards Bonnie in S8, when enzo and Damon was captured by Sybil and Bonnie was trying to get Enzo back at all cost, and she strayed away from the gorup’s plan and just snatched Enzo for herself (as she should!). And then Caroline goes on about “We had a plan!”

And then later on kind of makes Bonnie comes to her wedding when her husband-to-be killed the love her life.

And then go back to season 4 when Bonnie and Elena and Caroline was in Damon’s bathtub, and this was right after ELena slept with Damon for the first time. Caroline couldn’t shut her mouth for three seconds without saying how much of slut Damon was. Now, that entire scene is something else on both sides, tbh. And I’m all for friends holding their friends accountable and telling them the truth but like… read the room?? In that moment, Elena just needed a day to spend time with her girlfriends. She just got through a breakup and she just had sex with someone, she just needed her friends and Caroline ruined that. I’m sure Bonnie had plenty to say about Damon or whatnot, but she DIDN’T because she could readddd the room. And Bonnie’s very considerate of people’s feelings and her own mouth.

Idk, I love Carolien to a degree. Her personality itsself annoys me. She annoys me. I just know if she was a real person in real life, we would NOT get along.

We needdddd to talk about them again cause I don’t think you understand what this movie accomplished. Everyone was so worried about how they were going to do Ariel’s hair, the cgi, blah blah, but the way barely anyone thought about how they were going to do the romance, and yet the romance was one of the best aspects of this live action.

I’m telling you, these two had me kicking my feet and giggling in that theatre TWICE. Their chemistry was so unexpected and the way they elevated Prince Eric’s character UGH. I love this movie so much.
