Lakitu was admittedly the hardest to get right (before it dawned on me the vacant eyes can be sunglasses, since theyre already mysterious as a character)

also as one more piece of trivia, my Mr Systems mannerisms is based on the suave singing frog from meet the Robinsons (his name is Frank and it’s very on the nose) apart from Jessica Rabbit he was another influence for my interp, the glitter suit is based on his

for an elective i did a pres on furry platformers on the playstation 1-2, our prof let us make our own art because he's chill like that

and it was thanks to it i learned about the crash bandicoot publicity campaigns and the manga which inspires me so much (TommyCrash summarizes the manga excellently if you speak spanish)

Hard to photograph but VERY easy to paint lmao it‘s Father from the show "Codename: kids next door" and also a little rainbow monkey for a dash of color. This show wasn‘t super popular in my country when i was a kid so i never watched it much but i loved trying to get that style right, the shapes of the burnt trees in the background are pretty much directly based on screenshots. And as always, making figures of characters who don't really get merch is my favourite thing!
