The Fear of calling myself nonbinary is so very there

Like. I’m not a man. I’m so not a man, but I want to be seen as close to being a man without technically being one as possible.

I do technically fall into the “nonbinary” category. Calling myself a man feels,, incorrect. But I’m obviously also not a woman, or anywhere near it. But like.

If I call myself nonbinary, if I keep my hair long, if I keep dressing how I do, people are gonna default to calling me a woman or call me they/them at best. Which is also not for me:

People will strip me of my masculinity because that’s not what “nonbinary” is to them. Nonbinary to most people is basically just “AGAB with a little flavor” and I hate that. I don’t wanna be treated that way.

There is so much transphobia around nonbinary people that the majority of “allies” don’t want to unpack, and I don’t want to fucking deal with.

So. Fucking. Man it is for now I guess
