if there's one thing we can learn from this booping experience it's that we need to give people notes and interact with them for tumblr to be fun and thriving

I'm back again! And hopefully going to stick to my schedule now. Hands abiding, of course; we shall see. I've been digging around on DeviantArt with the thought of eventually moving a bunch of my writing to AO3, for longevity/archiving/AI-protection purposes, and in doing so, I found the first Art of August I ever drew! Among various other things I might redraw in the future. But I also saw a thing encouraging people to draw dinosaurs, so this took priority. I kept the nonsense color scheme, but now I understand the importance of looking up reference! And also the general idea of anatomy. Will I ever use this decade-old character again? Unclear! Huzzah!

I hope every single person who puts nice comments in tags under reblogged art knows that you you guys are the backbone of society. Being an artist online sucks these days, but here on tumblr I still get compliments under artworks that I made years ago. I hope you know every WOW and heart emoji and heartfelt compliment and funny comment you left in the tags is part of the reason I kept drawing all these years, in spite of everything that was going on.
I've been screenshotting the nice tags I get for years, and at this point it would be literal thousands of lines if I still had my old files. I love u tumblr users <333333333
