K is for Kissing Isn't Enough
summary: spencer decides he wants his first time to be with his first girlfriend… you
word count: 2k
warnings: virgin!spencer, smut, unprotected sex (pull out method)
Tumblr media
You and Spencer were in a compromising position. He was lounged on the couch in his apartment, reclined back and legs stretched. You were perched on his lap, straddling him. You were careful to prop yourself on your knees, not wanting to make him too nervous.
Spencer was always nervous when you were around. Especially now though. The way your fingers were grasping at his hair, the way your lips moved against him in perfect harmony, he had everything to be nervous about. This was like a dream come true. His hands were sat funny on your shoulders. He never quite knew what to do with them during makeout sessions, especially ones this heated.
You knew he was new at this, that you were his first girlfriend, and you thought it was sweet how innocent he was. You always had to direct him to do something physical, but after one instruction, it was as if he’d never stop.
Letting your fingers comb out of his hair, you place them each on top of his. You pull away from the kiss, which makes him pout a little bit. You grab his wrists, pulling his arms down from your shoulders and onto your waist. He looks into your eyes and seems terrified.
“D-do you want me to t-touch you here?” he stutters, fidgeting with the fabric of his argyle sweater that you were wearing.
You bring your face down to rest your forehead against his. “Yes, Spencer. You can touch me wherever you want,” you whisper into his mouth before kissing him. He shivers both from the warmth of your voice and the feeling of your body as he grips your waist.
Despite having been given consent to touch you anywhere, he paid careful attention to keep his hands only on your waist. He was desperately grasping at the fabric between every kiss, finding any way possible to beg for more.
Your hands found his chest, grabbing onto the collar of his shirt. He was still partially dressed from work, you having come to his apartment immediately after. He’d taken his sweater off and offered it to you, as you were wearing a blouse that was not comfortable at all. You happily accepted the offer, putting it on over your bra and slipping on a pair of shorts you so thankfully had in your car. Spencer was left in his tan polo and dark brown pants, making him look a little lankier than normal as he didn’t have the thick sweater layered to balance his top half out.
You let your hands run down his chest, using a gentle palm on his diaphragm to hoist yourself up from your slipping position. The unsuspected heightening made his hands fall down to your hips, knocking your knees loose and causing you to be in contact with his lap. You knew what you felt, but chose to ignore it as you didn’t want to embarrass him.
Though you ignoring it was pointless as Spencer immediately pulls back from the kiss and pushes your hips away from him.
“Y/N, I’m sorry…” he says, not daring to look you in the eyes.
“Sorry for what baby?” you say, bringing your hand up to gently run your fingers through his hair. “You did nothing wrong.”
He smiles, unsure of what to say. He leans back in for another kiss, but is still careful not to let his semi-hard dick come in contact with you.
You kiss him back, bringing your hands to his chest again. You use your strength to turn him, you laying down horizontally on the couch and pulling him on top of you. Your lips meet again. You let your hand trace down his torso, stopping as you feel the bulge of his hip bone. He shivers and lets out the smallest, and prettiest, whine you’ve ever heard. You smile into his mouth and quietly giggle.
“Are you okay, baby?” you ask him, planting a kiss on his neck which causes his hips to buck, coming down to rut against you briefly. He whines again, then nods and leans in for more kisses. He’s given up trying to keep his hips’ distance from you, letting himself rest against your thigh as he kisses you. You reach your hands up to tangle into his hair, gently pulling. His dick twitches against you, alluding a sigh from flustered Spencer.
“Do you want me to help you, Spence?” you ask him, dragging a finger down his chest. He eagerly nods, so aggressively you thought his head might pop off. Your hand follows his build further, making a stop at the hem of his shirt. “What do you want me to do?”
He shivers once again, rutting his hips against your thigh. “You can tell me, baby. We can do whatever you want,” you tell him, letting your fingers go beneath his shirt and run over his undefined abs before resting on his V-line. His stomach quivers from your touch.
“I want you,” he says earnestly. He looks into your eyes to see your reaction. You can’t help yourself, hearing the words come out of his mouth simply drives you wild. You didn’t bother to answer him, instead you consented by pulling your shirt over your head, leaving you in a lacy black bra and black shorts. Spencer’s mouth falls open, unsure of what to do.
“You can touch, Spencer,” you say, and before you can even finish your sentence he’s reaching for your breasts.
“You’re so beautiful, y/n,” he says, fondling your boobs in each hand.
You let him feel you for a moment, before standing up. He looks distraught, afraid he did something wrong. Before he can push out words, you grab his hand to pull him up from the sofa. “Bedroom,” is the only thing you say before taking off with his arm in your hand.
You enter his bedroom, scrambling to push him down onto the bed. He’s sitting on the edge with his legs on the ground. His lips are red and swollen and his hair is a mess; he looks prettier than ever. You approach him, leaning down and letting your hands rest on his thighs. As your lips meet his, your hand runs up his thigh to the buckle of his belt, taking the long way around and neglecting his dick. Before you can unbuckle his belt, he pushes your hands away.
“Y/n, you do know I’m a virgin… right?” He says. Of course you did, you didn’t want to let him know that though.
“That’s okay, I’ll show you what to do,” you say and give him another kiss.
He nodded, allowing you to unbuckle his belt and pull him up to remove his pants. He slides his polo shirt off over his head. You let your shorts fall around your ankles, stepping out of them and leaving you both in your underwear. “Lay down on your back, baby,” you say. He obliges, reaching his hands out to you. He’s so desperate.
You straddle his waist, letting his bulge continue to be neglected in the open spot between your thighs. His eyebrows lifted, telling you he was nervous. You place a hand on his chest to comfort him. Your other hand trails down his lower abdomen, gently hooking your fingers onto the waistband of his purple striped boxers. He blinked slowly as his hips involuntarily buck toward your hand.
“Are you sure about this?” you ask him. You’re confident he is, you just want to make sure he is comfortable. He drew small circles around your bellybutton as you slid his boxers down his legs. He helps you by kicking them down and off his ankles, using his foot to toss them across the bedroom. You slowly grind yourself into him once before situating yourself between his legs.
You gracefully wrap your hand around his shaft, making him jump. “You alright?” You say, easing your grip on him slightly.
“Y-yeah just nervous,” he said as he squirmed. You smiled, pulling your hand up him. You could tell he needed reassurance, or maybe relief. He was hiding his face in his shoulder and was beginning to shy away from you.
“You okay, baby?” You let go of him, resting your hand on his thigh.
“What if I’m bad?” He raised his eyebrows, genuinely worried.
“You won’t be.”
“But what if you don’t get any source of pleasure from it?”
You glance down at his dick which was laying just less than fully erect on his waist. You almost laugh. He really was a virgin, you realize. Not that it was a bad thing, but he didn’t realize what he was blessed with.
“Trust me, I will. And even if I don’t, I want this to be about you.”
You wanted him to stop worrying, so you grasped his cock once again, this time at the base. You used your pinky to continuously rub lines on his balls. He let out low groans as you did so. His dick twitched, leaving it stranded at full attention.
“Ready, Spence?”
“Ready.”
You leaned just above his cock, letting a string of spit drip down onto it. You rested your thumb on his slit, applying pressure to let the liquid spread farther. Slowly, you twisted your hand around his length, flicking your hand around his length, flicking your wrist to allow the spit to reach every bit of him. Small hums ripple from his stomach.
You slipped your underwear off as you crawled up to straddle his hips once again. You  slowly rub yourself against his cock as you lean down to kiss him. He slid his tongue into your mouth, dragging his hands up and down your back. You gently lifted your hips, using one hand to hold his dick as you positioned yourself over him. Your other hand supported you by pushing down just under his collarbone.
“P-please,” he mumbles, trying to thrust into you, but your knees hold his hips down. You smile at how flustered he is. “Baby, please.”
You bit your bottom lip as you compile, slowly sinking down on to him. Biting your lip harder at the feeling of him stretching you out, you draw blood. You lick it off as you slowly shift your lower body up before immediately sinking back down. You continue this, pulling more and more moans from him, each louder than the last. As the pain turned to pleasure, you join him in the orchestra of noises and curses.
“Y/n, I’m gonna-”
“Can you hold it?”
“I’ll tr- fuck. I’ll try.”
You slow down, allowing him to take a second. As you begin to pick up speed again, you can feel your high approaching.
“Babe, I’m close!”
You felt the burn in your thighs as you speed up, desperately trying to cum before Spencer does.
“I- I can’t, y/n!”
“Just a second longer!” As soon as the words came out of your mouth, you felt yourself unravel. You rode out your orgasm as you slurred profanities. As you came back down, you saw Spencer, sweaty, eyes squeezed shut. You hurriedly got off him, reaching down to jerk him off. Only a few seconds later, he’s literally screaming your name.
“Fuck, y/n! I;m gonna cum! Fuck, fuck, fu-” he shouts, before cutting himself off with a long groan and strings of cum shooting out of him onto his chest.
As he lies still to catch his breath, you grab a t-shirt off the floor and wipe his chest off. He smiled, motioning for you to lie next to him.
“Put some clothes on first, you perv!” you joke before tossing him a pair of pajama pants. You slide your underwear and shorts back on, and take a t-shirt out of his closet. You slip his shirt, not bothering to wear a bra, and take a quick trip to the bathroom to clean up and pee.
Returning to his bedroom, you’re met with a cheeky grin. “You look adorable,” he says, making you blush. He extended his arms out and you lay next to him, wrapping an arm around his bare chest.
“Was it as scary as you thought?” You ask, looking up at him.
“Not since it was with you,” he smiled before giving you a small kiss on the cheek.
a/n: rahhhh grinded so hard and got this out in less than a day... i really hope all the spencer sluts (me too, it's okay) liked this

J is for "Just So You Know"
summary: After talking it over, you and Spencer decided to tell the team. Well, you were going to tell Hotch. Today, you were going to work early, meeting Spencer at the office (with coffee of course) and having a meeting with your supervisor where you’d reveal that you were in a relationship and fill out the forms needed… or so you thought
word count: 1k
warnings: none, slight mention of sex but let it be known spencer and reader have NOT slept together... yet ;)
Tumblr media
“Good morning, Spencer,” you said, as you met him in the parking lot. You handed him his coffee you picked up on your way to the office this morning.
“Good morning,” he said. He took a sip of his coffee, the warmth filling his stomach in a way that is too specific to describe. “Are you ready?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” You give him a quick peck on the cheek after checking your surroundings. No one else was in the parking lot, aside from Hotch’s vehicle, though you knew he was already in his office. The coast was clear. Spencer interlocked your fingers with his, leading you to the first set of doors which, of course, he opened for you, and all the way to the BAU office.
After entering the room and placing your belongings atop your desks, the two of you started for Aaron Hotchner’s office. The staircase felt miles long. Leading up to today, you had been excited to finally disclose your relationship with the office genius, but now, as the moment was approaching faster than you could climb the stairs, you were nervous. The only thing seeming to keep you going was how happy Spencer looked.
Spencer raised his fist to knock on the door of Hotch’s office. “Come in,” a voice bellowed from within. Cracking open the door, Spencer walked in, followed by you.
“Good morning, guys,” Hotch said, greeting each of you with a nod.
Spencer greeted him with a “Hello,” and you settled for a returning nod.
“So, what did you guys want to speak with me about?” Hotch says. His voice was sharp.
“Um, so, I’m not really sure how to approach this…” Spencer starts.
“Please don’t tell me you’re quitting.” Hotch says.
“No no no, neither of us are quitting, um, sort of the opposite of that actually,” you chime in. Hotch looks confused.
Spencer sighs and looks you in the eyes quickly before turning back toward the boss. “We’re dating.”
Wow. It’s out there. No taking it back.
“Really,” Hotch says in an odd voice. “Wow, um, that’s sort of the last thing I expected. That’s a bit of a relief.” You and Spencer both smile. “So, there’s quite a bit of paperwork, so I’ll give it to you now, try to have it back to me by Friday.” He reaches into a drawer of his desk and pulls out a file folder.
“Is this going to change anything on cases?” Spencer asks.
“You guys are not to go out on the field together, but you two often are at the station anyway, so nothing too extreme. Also, neither of you are able to receive promotions as subordinate-superior relationships are prohibited.”
“That’s okay,” you say. You were willing to give up higher positions if it meant being happy with Spencer. And clearly, he was thinking the same thing. He took the paperwork from Hotch and stood up, preparing to leave the room. You gave a smile before following him out.
“Hey,” Hotch says, stopping the two of you in your tracks. “I’m happy for you kids. You deserve each other. Now get out of here.”
You and Spencer smile before racing each other back to your desks in the bullpen.
_____
You and Spencer were sat at your opposing desks, each filling out parts of your paperwork, occasionally looking up to each other and exchanging smiles. Derek, in his all-too-nosy self approaches Spencer from behind, peering over his shoulder.
“Pret-ty Boy,” Derek says, annunciating the syllables, drawing everyone’s attention. He gives Spencer a congratulatory pat on the shoulder. “I think Little Boy Genius has an announcement for us all.”
You cover your head in embarrassment, knowing what was about to come. Spencer looks up at you, to ask for your permission for sharing, but your head was between your hands, completely unaware of the mini heart attack your boyfriend was going through right now.
Everyone has turned their chairs to face poor red-faced Spencer. You guys didn’t plan on telling the rest of the team yet. It’s not that you doubted your relationship, you just didn’t want the pressure from everyone else. But you seemed to have forgotten you worked with a bunch of people who don’t understand personal space.
“Um…” Spencer was stalling.
“Say it, Pretty Boy,” Derek chants at him, tightening his grip on his shoulder.
Spencer continues to stall. He begins to fidget with his fingers and his pen.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” Derek says in order to keep the crowd. “The office baby, Dr. Spencer Reid has a girlfriend.”
Oohs and ahs fill the room the same way they do in elementary school when someone is called to the principal’s office.
“Who is it, Spencer?” Emily asks.
You finally lift your head, feeling bad for leaving Spencer to be extorted by your coworkers alone. You lock eyes with him and give him a nod, silently letting him know it was okay.
“Um, y/n…” Spencer says and smiles at you. “No way!” Penelope runs out of her office, almost as if she had been waiting for this moment. She runs around to the side of your desk and hugs you. “How long?”
“A little over a month,” You return Penelope’s hug in an awkward sitting position and grin at Spencer. Even though you weren’t planning on telling the team today, seeing their reactions was a good payout.
“I told you they’d be together by Christmas.” Emily says, facing Derek.
“Alright, Princess, I’ll buy lunch,” Derek rolls his eyes at her and sits back down at his desk, “don’t get a big head.”
“Ignore them.” Penelope whispers in your ear loud enough for Spencer, and honestly, probably Derek and Emily, to hear as well. “They’ve been waiting for the two of you to get together since like March.” She playfully kisses your cheek before returning to her office, leaving the bullpen back in its normal form.
As soon as everything is back to normal, the door swings open and in walks Rossi, fashionably late as usual. “What’d I miss?” He says, half jokingly, unaware he actually missed something huge.
“Oh nothing,” Derek says, “Pretty boy and Y/N here are just knockin’ boots is all.”
Now would probably be a good time for a coffee break.

I is for "I Knew It!"
summary: you and spencer are caught going out by an all-too-familiar face, causing the two of you to have a talk about the logistics of your relationship.
word count: 1.1k
warnings: the fluffiest fluff anyone has ever seen
Tumblr media
“Hey hey, put that wallet away,” Spencer says as you pull your wallet out from your purse. He never let you pay for dinner, even though you begged every time. You will admit, it is nice to always have your dinner paid for, however, you felt bad having him spend so much money on you.
“No. I want to pay tonight. You always pay,” you said and opened your wallet.
“My payment is having the world’s prettiest girlfriend. I’m paying for dinner, that's final.” He gently grabs your wrist from across the table, stopping you from making any further moves with the wallet. “Got it?”
“Fine, but I’m buying you a coffee in the morning.” You put the wallet back in your purse and give Spencer a smile. You playfully click your shoes with his underneath the table and take a final sip of your drink. Spencer places a credit card on the small black booklet on the edge of the table.
The waitress comes and collects the booklet, giving the two of you a quick smile and says she’ll be right back.
Spencer hands her a five dollar and two one dollar bills as a tip, and she makes her way to the register.
Spence lets go of your wrist and points his finger at you. “You,” he says, waves his finger at you as he says the words, “should come hang out at my apartment tonight.”
The waitress comes back and hands Spencer his card. “You guys have a good night,” she says as she backs up to let the two of you out of the booth then proceeding to clear off the table.
Spencer laces his hand with yours as the two of you weave through tables to exit the restaurant. “We can watch a movie or something,” he leans into your ear as you walk.
“I would love to, Spence,” you say and open the door to exit.
“Spencer Reid?” a familiar woman's voice says as the two of you walk out hand-in-hand. You feel his grip tighten.
The woman was blonde and pregnant. She was with a thin goateed man.
“Oh, hey JJ,” Spencer says, stopping his step. “How’s it going?”
“Great, I can’t believe you have a girlfriend and didn’t tell me!” JJ looks at you, her mouth immediately becoming agape. “Y/N?”
Yeah, no one knew you and Spencer were seeing each other.
“Hey, JJ…” You say, happy to see her, but in a little bit of an awkward situation.
“How long? How long has this been going on?” She says, looking over at her boyfriend, Will excitedly.
“Um about a month,” you begin to say before being interrupted by Mr. Exact.
“35 days,” Spencer says matter-of-factly.
“That’s crazy! Oh my god I can’t believe this. Does anyone else know?” JJ would probably be jumping for joy right now if she wasn’t 9 months pregnant. Will just looked at her lovingly.
“No, we haven’t told anyone yet, we wanted to wait until our relationship was solid.” Spencer said, letting go of your hand and wrapping his arm around your waist.
“Seems pretty solid to me,” you say under your breath and lean into Spencer.
“You have to tell the team! They’d be so excited,” JJ exclaims.
“Yeah, we’re going to, we’re just not sure when.” Spencer says.
“It better be before I come back from maternity leave. If you guys aren’t BAU official by the Christmas party you will be sorry.” JJ playfully threatens before being dragged to the door by Will who waves goodbye.
You and Spencer begin walking to his car. “You know, That felt good. To finally tell someone,” you said and lean further into Spencer as your steps match up.
“Yeah, it did,” Spencer says, “What movie do you want to watch?” “The Red Circle is always good.”
“Yeah, but I think I want to watch more of an immature movie. I need a break.”
“How about WALL-E?”
“WALL-E sounds awesome.”
Spencer let go of your waist when you reached his car. He opened the passenger door for you, helping you in by your hand, then hurried around to get in the car himself.
_____
“I think we should tell the team,” Spencer says. You were sat between his legs on his couch leaned against his shoulder. One of his arms was wrapped around you, the other hand was playing with your hair. He halted his movements once the words came out of his mouth. It was almost as if he didn’t mean to say it outloud.
“What?” You ask, turning to look at him. The lighting from the t.v. hit his face, bringing attention to the rosy blush bleeding through his cheeks.
“I um… I want to tell the team we’re together,” he repeats. Your mouth falls open, unsure of what to say. “I know it’s early, but I just, I don’t want to have to hide you from them. You’re so special to me.”
“Spencer…”
“It’s okay if you don’t want to yet, I know it could put a lot of pressure on a new relationship, but I…”
You need to shut him up. You lean in and plant a kiss on his lips, letting your breath linger on his mouth. “No, if you’re ready to tell everyone, I’ll be there every step of the way.” His eyes light up. He looks so happy.
“I’m so lucky to have you.” He leans his head into your shoulder and gently pecks a kiss on your collarbone. You tuck a loose strand of hair behind his ear. He looks up at you and smiles, resting his chin against your chest.
You loved when he let you baby him like this. It took him a while to be comfortable enough to let his guard down like this around you, but once he was able to, he basically never stopped. He loved being able to have someone to care for him as it was something he never experienced, even as a child.
WALL-E is playing in the background, the scene where he is showing EVE around his house illuminating the room. Spencer looks up at you, eyes glowing. He nuzzles into your chest, careful not to bump your breasts. He was so respectful; the sweetest boy.
“What, Spencer?” you ask, keeping your voice smooth and calm. He looked as if he wanted to say something, but you had to make sure not to seem annoyed as he was sensitive.
“You’re so pretty,” he says, then buries his head in the crook of your neck.
That’s not what he wants to say, but you comb your fingers through his hair and say, “thank you.” You feel him mumble something into your chest. “What, baby?” you ask him.
“Y/n,” he says, you hum in response, “I think I’m in love with you.”
You can’t help but smile. “I think I’m in love with you, too, Spence,” you say, grabbing his chin and leading his face up to kiss him.

H is for Hold My Hand
summary:  You take a cocky, halloween loving Spencer to a haunted house for his first time. He underestimates how scary it actually is going to be, and ends up being taught a very valuable lesson.
word count: 1.1k
warnings: details of a haunted house. nothing  bad though
Tumblr media
Spencer Reid was a big Halloween fan. He loved dressing up and going to haunted houses and eating candy. He was a kid at heart, maybe because he never truly had a childhood.
This year, you decided to take him to a haunted house on the outside of town. It was an old abandoned house that had been boarded up and condemned for years. A few years back, a family bought it and renovated it, turning it into a movie style horror building. It was one of the top spots in the entirety of Quantico during the month of October.
You decided to take your horror-loving boyfriend there as not only a late birthday gift, but also as a way to celebrate halloween. Because let's be honest, two mid-twenty year olds trick or treating isn’t exactly socially acceptable. After going out for a semi-nice dinner, you and Spencer drove 17 miles east to visit the haunted house.
“You know, I’ve never actually been to a haunted house,” Spencer said to you. His eyes were focused on the road as he made gentle movements of the steering wheel with his left hand. His right hand rested on the midsection of your thigh, gripping ever so slightly.
“Really?” You said. You ran your fingers over his, following the bumps of his knuckles.
“Nope. I’ve always wanted to go but never had anyone to go with.”
“Well, now you do.” He smiled, turning his head and giving you a quick peck on the lips. It took Spencer a few weeks to get used to kissing you. For a while, he would ask every time. Last week, the two of you went to the theater on a date. As this was a silent audience, he didn’t want to interrupt. About half way through the show, you felt the buzz of your phone. “Can I kiss you?” a text from Spencer read. You couldn’t help but giggle out loud, which got you a few shushes. You didn’t mind too much, leaning over and giving him a big kiss.
Kissing Spencer was something straight out of a romance novel. He had this certain way about him, he was always so passionate. The way his lips moved perfectly in sync with yours was something unpredictable. You always imagined him being a good kisser, with practice of course, but he’d clearly done research.
Spencer pulled into the parking lot of the destination. The owners of the house tore down the shed in the back to pave an area. It’s almost as if they know they’d be a city-wide success.
It was still slightly light outside, the sun having yet to set. You wanted to wait until dark to go inside. You wanted Spencer’s first haunted house experience to be memorable. Of course, anything with him was memorable, however, you wanted to make this extra special for him. After all, Halloween was sort of his thing, and you were sort of his girl-thing.
You grab Spencer’s hand and turn to look at him. “Hey,” you say, ensuring to keep your voice calm and steady, “I’m not saying you will, but if you do happen to get too scared, we can leave.”
“Y/n, I’m sure I’ll be fine,” he says. “I work for the damn FBI.”
“I know Spence, but this is different.” “Yeah. It’s fake.”
He really didn’t know what he was getting into.
“Yeah, it’s fake, but it almost makes it more scary. The people here can touch you, and it’s loud, and basically it’s all the stuff you hate grouped into one thing that you somehow love.”
“If it makes you feel better, I’ll tell you if I’m scared. But I’ll be fine, y/n.”
He was completely clueless. For one, you were going to prove him wrong. You just knew it. The two of you exit the car, meeting in the front and interlocking hands. Spencer rubs his thumb on the back of your palm and swings your arm back and forward with your steps.
As you approached the steps to the house, Spencer’s hand began sweating. Yeah, he was nervous, but he’d never ever admit it. He liked to seem strong in front of you, though he’d be the first one to cry if he stepped on a bug. There was something so innocent about him. He just, he was different.
_____
The line to get in was long, but it moved fast. The entryway to the house was filled with those fake spiderwebs. Those always made Spencer sneeze. The majority of your time in there was spent with Spencer’s arm over his mouth and you trying to convince the people ahead of you he wasn’t sick.
As you approached the entrance to the basement- where the haunted house started- Spencer began to get giddy. He was so excited, like a kid in a candy store. Except he was a Spencer in a scary house that he was allergic to.
You enter the doorway to the steps that lead to the basement. Spencer trails behind you, walking a little slowly and paying careful attention to each spooky detail on the wall. He held a loose grip on your hand and let you lead him down the stairs.
As you enter the actual attraction his grip tightens significantly. There was a coffin slightly ajar that had fake blood dripping out from the bottom. A plastic severed hand lay at the gape of the door. Spencer inched closer to you and hid his face in your hair. You silently laughed to yourself and continued walking forward.
As you continued through the basement, there was lots of fake blood and red stained sheets covering walls and pieces of furniture. They did a good job of creepifying this place. There was a fog machine plugged in somewhere, and from out of the fog popped a man draped head to toe in blood stained clothing. He jumped out in front of you and Spencer, screaming into your faces. He then ran back into the fog, knocking over a stack of ceramic plates causing a loud crash. Spencer jumped. Literally, jumped. He pressed his body into yours, attempting to hide behind you. You turn around to look at him.
“You sure you can handle this, Spence?” You ask him. “We can leave if you want to.”
“No, I’m fine. Can you just hold my hand?” He answers, looking into your eyes, almost as if he was too scared to grab your hand himself. You smile at him, taking his hand and dragging him to the next room and through the rest of the basement.

G is for Girlfriend
summary: Derek invites Spencer to his ‘boys night,’ but he turns down the offer to hang out with you. He refers to you as his girlfriend to battle confusion, but this leads to the realization that you want to be his girlfriend.
word count: 700 warnings: none... very very very brief talk of spencer being a virgin.. like only two words
Tumblr media
You and Spencer had been seeing each other for two weeks now. It wasn’t official, and no one on the team knew. It was new, still fragile. You didn’t want to rush into anything, especially after finding out that Spencer was totally new at this. He’d confided in you he’d never dating anyone before, and you were completely taken aback by this. Sure, he was a little- well, a lot,- nerdy, and he was awkward, but in your eyes, these things made him even more perfect. You couldn’t understand how or why no one had taken the time to see how great of a person he was. But it didn’t matter. He was yours. Well, unofficially. But you knew it would only be a matter of time before it was official. You just wanted to wait for the right moment.
You were sat at your desk. Spencer was sat at his desk. Derek was sat at his desk. It was a normal Monday morning.
“Heyyy Pretty Boy,” Derek said, turning his desk chair around to face Spencer, who looks up at him. “I’m having a little guys night with Will and Kevin at my place tonight, you should stop by.” “I would, but I can’t.” Spencer rubs his hands together.
“What’s Pretty Boy got planned for tonight, huh?”
“I, um… I’m going to visit my girlfriend at her apartment tonight.”
You couldn’t help but let the smile break through your face. Spencer had never referred to you as his girlfriend. He’d never asked you to be his girlfriend. But holy shit, you were his girlfriend. You hid your head behind your computer screen, trying your hardest to mask the world's biggest grin on your face.
“No way,” Derel said with a surprised look on his face. “The little guy has a girlfriend? I don’t believe it.”
“I do. We’re keeping it private for now, but it’s going pretty well.”
“I- wow. I’m proud of you lil man.” Derek ruffled Spencer’s hair with his hand before wheeling himself back to his desk and getting back to work.
All day at work, Spencer’s voice echoed through your mind. “I’m going to visit my girlfriend.” He thought of you as his girlfriend. You were Spencer Reid’s girlfriend.
______
You and Spencer were sat on the couch in your apartment, your head leaned on his shoulder and his hand massaged your hair. There was a movie playing, though neither of you were interested. You were talking each others’ ears off, each going on about random facts and bouncing off the other.
“Spence, can I ask you something?” you say, sitting up to face him.
“Of course,” He responds, turning on the couch and placing one leg on the ground for balance.
“Today at work you um… you called me your girlfriend. I mean, we’ve been going out for a few weeks, but are we… you know…” You were stuttering. Bad.
“Um… well I didn’t want to have to explain to Derek how I was just seeing someone, I just figured it’d be easier…”
“Spencer…” He tucked a fallen strand of hair behind your ear. You leaned in closer to him.
“y/n…”
“Spencer, I…” You look deeply into his eyes and reach your hand up to cup his cheek. He shivers a bit, but reciprocates, bringing his hand up to your cheek as well. You see his eyes flash to your lips and back up to your eyes. You can’t help yourself. You lean in. You feel the warmth of his breath against yours. Your eyes are closed. You can’t see him, but you feel everything he’s wanting to say. His hand is shaking against your cheek, and it’s begun to sweat. You pull away before the poor boy has a heart attack. “Spencer, I want to be your girlfriend.”
His face was so red. He looked like he was going to start crying. “y/n…”
You backtrack. He seems to not want this. “Only if you want to-”
“Yes,” he blurts. “Please be my girlfriend. Please.”
Why was he begging? You already said you would.
“Of course. I’m your girlfriend now, Spence.”
“Oh, and one more thing, y/n…” He looks into your eyes somehow deeper than before. “Please kiss me again.”

Another Poll
I'm working on planning out story lines for the rest of the A-Z story, which I will say does include sex at some points. I don't think that's a spoiler as per my last poll.
But I need more audience input as I don't want to do something that people aren't wanting to read.

F is for First Date
summary: You and Spencer go on your first date to a little coffee shop before work. You convince him to try your coffee, and he finds he enjoys it.
word count: 2.8k
warnings: none. just fluff and spencer being a gentleman
Tumblr media
You roll over in your bed, throwing the covers off of your body. It was hot. Why was it so hot? You look over to your alarm cock: 8:03 a.m. You were running late. 45 minutes late, actually. Luckily, your apartment is only a few blocks away from the office, however, you typically left at 8:10. That left you 7 minutes to do your normal hour long routine.
You quickly jump up from your bed, letting the blankets fall wherever they pleased. Honestly, what’s the point in making the bed? You’re just going to tear it apart in your sleep tonight, anyways. You jog slightly to your bathroom, grabbing your hairbrush and multitasking as you did your morning pee. You brushed your teeth in record time, definitely not two minutes, but at least the morning breath was gone.
You went back to your room, slipping off your flannel pajama pants and gray “Harvard” shirt. You didn’t go to Harvard. You just liked the oversized shirt.
You grabbed a nude-toned bra out of your dresser and clasped it behind your back. You slid a white lace top over your head and threw a tan fuzzy cardigan on. You put a pair of dark tights on and pulled a dark brown leather miniskirt over them, tucking the white top in. You slid on thick white socks on, ones that ended at your mid-shin, and put on a pair of black converse.
Good enough, you thought to yourself, not bothering to put on makeup. You planned to stay in the office today. No meetings, and pray to god no cases. You just wanted a chill day.
You left your apartment at 8:15, not much later than you normally did, you’d just have to take out the coffee stop this morning.
______
You nearly drop your bag as you’re rushing through the parking lot, trying desperately to enter the building before 8:30. Not only were you up late this morning, but traffic was a bitch. It wouldn’t be a big deal if you were a few minutes late, however you’ve been petulant in your 9 months and don’t plan to start truancy now.
Of course, Derek, who 9 times out of 10 is fashionablly late, sees you speed walking through the parking lot.
“Hey Sweetheart, what are you doing in so late?” He jokingly cat-calls you through the lot.
“Slept late,” You respond in a yell, not slowing your step at all.
“Aw, baby needs her beauty sleep?” “Something like that.”
You rush into the building, crossing through the glass doors of the BAU office right as the clock struck 8:30, Derek somehow a full two minutes behind you. You walk over to your desk and place your knitted tote bag filled with personal items on the ground beneath you. Sitting in your chair, you plop the stack of paperwork in front of you, and look at the man across from you.
“Morning, Spence,” You say as you open the file.
“Goodmorning, y/n. How was your morning?” He asks curiously.
“Well, I overslept and didn’t have time for a coffee stop, but luckily I was having a good hair day so it doesn’t matter. How about you?”
“Well I couldn’t even tell. You look great. My morning was alright. I got my coffee.” He mockingly takes a big sip before standing up and excusing himself.
You didn’t know where he was going, though you had enough paperwork to let it pass through your mind. You quickly began scribbling through the papers and placing files where they needed to go. You forgot how messy you’d left your desk Friday when you returned from a case. You were in a big hurry to leave and go to dinner with the team, you just threw everything from the case on your desk and scrammed. It wasn’t a big deal though, it was just easy, boring paperwork.
Spencer returned a few minutes later with a coffee cup in hand. He approached your desk. “Hey, y/n,” he says, you move your attention from the paperwork to him towering over you. “I made you a coffee. I um, I put two sugars in it, I hope that’s alright, I’ve seen you drink it like that before and-”
“It’s perfect, Spence, thank you.” You say, taking the cup as he hands it down to you.
He hurries to his chair and hides his face. You curiously turned the cup around. There, you saw the inscription of his homely handwriting. “y/n: do you want to go out for coffee tomorrow morning before work? -Spence.”
You smiled, and went to look up at him, but he instinctively scurried away. Though, he’d left his half drank cup of coffee on his desk. You walk over to his, and flop down in his chair, it almost swallowing you whole as the leather back had fitted to his broader shoulders. You grab the coffee and a Sharpie marker from his pencil cup. “Spence: of course I do… 7:30? <3”
You get up and return to your  desk, almost on cue, Spencer returns. You were unsure of where he came from, though it didn’t matter. He sat at his desk, and you nodded your head to the cup. He looked confused for a brief second, before bringing it to his eyes to read it.
He looked up and smiled at you. “ 7:30 sounds great, I’ll meet you there,” he says.
“Okay! I’m parking here and walking, if you wish to join,” you say, taking a sip of the special made coffee. It was no different than how you normally made it, but it tasted special because of who made it.
“I’ll meet you in the parking lot here, then. How’s that?” “That’s perfect, Spence.”
You return to your paperwork, unable to hide the smile on your face. You’d waited so long for this moment, you couldn’t believe it was finally happening. You caught Spencer smiling a few times as well. You wondered how long he’d wanted to ask you out. You’ve found Spencer attractive since the day you started working here. You were so beyond ecstatic something was finally happening between the two of you.
You finished your coffee quickly. It was the best coffee you have ever tasted. You thought briefly for a second, before going to the kitchen to clean the styrofoam cup out. You made sure it was no longer sticky or had any coffee residue before drying it completely and taking it back to your desk. You open the small pencil drawer of your desk and pull out four sticky notes. Notes Spencer had left you in the past few weeks. You placed the four notes in the cup and placed a new lid on it. Putting the cup in the side drawer, you smiled to yourself. You’ve kept every note Spencer has ever given you. And you don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
_____
‘7:28,’ the clock on the dash of your car read. You looked in your rearview mirror at the road behind you. There was Spencer in his old man car. You’d been early, nervous about your date, though you knew it would go good. You wore a fitted white turtleneck with a knitted tank top sweater vest of different shades of brown on top. You paired this with a khaki skirt and the same pair of black converse. You realized this was a very Spencer-esque outfit, and it was quite possible you and him could have nearly the exact same outfit on today.
Luckily, Spencer picked from the other side of his closet this morning. He approached you wearing dark brown slacks and black converse as well. He had his satchel pulled over his waist, drawing attention to the way he swayed as he walked. He had a dark, though not as dark as his pants, sweater that was open, and underneath was a collared off-white shirt and a diagonally striped tie. His left hand rested on his satchel, and his right was hidden behind his back. He did his little hoppy jog to your car, you having opened the door, grabbing your knitted tote bag, and beginning to make your way around to him.
“Good morning, y/n,” he says as he reaches you.
“Hi, Spence,” You didn’t know why, but you were suddenly very shy. Maybe because this was a “formal date,” but you’d been on friend dates with Spencer so many times before.
Spencer was clearly nervous too, though less than you. His hand from behind his back made itself known, in his fist was a single red rose. “I um, I got this for you. I know it’s only one, but I actually saw a flower patch on my way here and I didn’t want to take them all.” He was rambling.
“I love it, it’s perfect.” You grab the rose from his hand, letting your fingers run over the petals. They were smooth. He could see you were trying not to touch the stem too much, as you were trying not to touch the thorns.
“I picked all the thorns off so you didn’t hurt yourself. I don’t have any water for it or anything…”
You examined the stem. You saw all the spots where thorns once laid. He was so sweet. Not only did he make a stop to pick you a rose, but he also safety coded it. You were going to keep this rose forever. You knew it. You planned on pressing the flowers once you got home from work that night. Maybe you could keep the petals in the “note drawer,” or maybe you could start a new drawer..
“Spencer, hey, I love it okay. Thank you.” You slid the stem of the rose between two knits of your bag, it poking inside and the flower on the outside like a pin. You saw Spencer smile. He was proud of himself.
The two of you began to walk through the parking lot. Spencer paid careful attention to your feet, matching his gate exactly with yours. As you neared the end of the parking lot, reaching the sidewalk next to a fairly busy street, you felt a hand gently brush your waist. Spencer switched sides, him now being on the side adjacent to the road. First flowers, and now this? This boy was a true gentleman.
You smiled to yourself. Technically, the date hadn’t even begun yet, but you were already certain you wanted a relationship to blossom from this. You looked to the man to your left, the sun in a position to hit against his face in a way that made him look like an angel. You couldn’t help yourself. You reached over and took hold of his hand. He jumped slightly, before gripping a little too tight. He looked down at you and smiled.
“You’re so pretty, y/n,” Spencer said. He’d been waiting what seemed like years- though only 9 months- to tell you that. You didn’t know where Spencer learned how to flirt, but frankly you didn’t care. You really liked this side of him.
“I think you’re pretty too, Spence.” You said. He smiled and ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it back from his forehead. Wow.
______
The coffee shop made itself known once you reached the top of a hill. The natural brick on the outside makes it look homey. It was about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot of the BAU, but Spencer and you were agents. You made the walk take a total of eight minutes. Speed walking isn’t a training module for the FBI, though it is definitely learned, and quickly.
Spencer opened the door and allowed for you to enter first. Yet another gentlemanly move today. The smell of coffee filled your noses. It reminded you of Spencer. He always had coffee breath, yet not the nasty kind. He always seemed to smell so wonderful.
“Hello,” the barista at the counter cheerfully said as you and Spencer entered the small building. The two of you approached her. “What can I get for you guys today?”
You order your regular and Spencer orders a black coffee with a LOT of sugar. You retrieve the coffees from the pick up area and sit at a raised table in the corner next to a window.
“Why do you like black coffee?” you ask him.
“I’m not sure. I always drank it when I was growing up and throughout college… and honestly, I’ve never tried it any other way.” He responded, taking a sip of his coffee.
“Really?” you said surprised. “With how much coffee you drink, I’m surprised you haven’t ventured into new territory even once.”
“Not once.” He took another sip. You noticed him kicking his feet beneath the table.
“Do you want to try a sip of mine?”
He smiled, crinkling his nose up. “Sure, do you want to try mine?”
“I guess I’ll give it a shot, though I will say I’m not the biggest fan of black coffee, so don’t be mad if I don’t like it.”
“I can’t promise anything, I can’t even say I’m going to like your girly drink.” He was teasing.
“I’ll tell you what Spence. You like my coffee and I’ll buy you a croissant. I like your coffee, you buy me a croissant. Deal?”
“It’s a deal, y/l/n.”
You switched cups. He gave it a sniff before popping open the lid to see inside. Tensley, he took a sip. You saw his eyes bulge. Licking his lips as he brought the cup down, he wrinkled his nose once again. He brought the cup back up, taking another sip.
“You know what, I think you owe me a croissant.”
You smiled at  him, before taking a sip of his old man coffee, you cocked your head to the side.
“You don’t like it, do you?” He laughed.
You quickly sat the cup down and jumped up from your seat. You walked up to the counter, and ordered one regular croissant. Returning to the table with the plastic container in hand, you tossed in down in front of him.
He opened the container, and tore a piece of the pastry off. He took a bite, and attempted to slide the container to you. In the process, it collided with his cup of coffee which was still situated on your side, causing it to spill all over your blouse.
“Oh my god, y/n, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay, at least it wasn’t hot anymore.” You reach for the few napkins on the table, trying to dry yourself off despite knowing it wouldn’t do anything.
You were giggling, but Spencer didn’t find this one bit funny. He felt awful. You began to attempt wiping the table with the napkins, but were stopped by Spencer’s hand grabbing your damp-sleeved arm.
“Hey, don’t worry about the table. I got it.” He gets up to go get napkins from the counter, before stopping in his tracks. He turns around and comes back to you, sitting in the chair using the sleeve of your sweater to stop the liquid from pouring onto your skirt and the ground. “Y/n, do you want to wear my sweater?”
This takes you a bit off guard. For a second, you forget your soaking wet with warm coffee. Your voice catches in your throat as you try to speak, but Spencer is already unbuttoning the two fastened buttons and sliding the sweater off his shoulders.
“You can go to the bathroom and change. I’ve got the mess, okay?” He hands you the sweater and makes room for you to move around him. You rush to the bathroom, trying not to leave a trail of coffee droplets through the lobby.
Turning into a stall, you immediately begin taking your sweater and white shirt off, tossing white one in the small garbage can. There was no way you’d be able to get the coffee stains out, and plus, the shirt was only $4 on sale at WalMart. Only left in your wire bra, you slip the brown sweater on. You button it all the way up, but as it’s a men’s sweater, it’s a little more of a V-neck than you’d like, especially since you were going to work soon. You tucked one side of the sweater into your skirt, letting the other side hang over to create dimension in your outfit and make it less simple. You toss your damp sweater vest over your shoulder and exit the bathroom.
Spencer was waiting for you when you came out. He’d gotten the mess cleaned up and was ready to leave. He grabs your hand, leading you outside the doors to begin your walk back to work.

a/n: Sorry it took so long on this chapter, I've been pretty busy. Hopefully I can get the next few out quickly as I hope to release part M (the christmas themed) on Christmas day.

E is for Even Guys Like Me?
summary: you tell spencer about the conversation you'd overheard with his mother. he gets embarrassed, and even a little angry.
word count: 1.9k
warnings: the slightest teensiest bit of angst. mostly just a lot of spencer crushing for reader
Tumblr media
It had been a little over two weeks since you overheard Spencer’s phone call with his mother. You’d been making it your mission to drop little hints at him about your feelings being the same, but they all seemed to just go over his head. You decided it’d be best to find a moment and tell him directly before it’s too late.
You were on a case right now, you and Spencer once again staying back in the PD to work on the intellectual side of things. Though a lot of time was spent together, this was not a time for deep conversations. You’d wait on the case before you said anything. You didn’t want to distract the genius. Because, despite what he had told Hotch in your meeting last month, Spencer did most of the work. You were just there on the off chance that he didn’t know something, which was pretty much never.
Three days went by, you had to try your best to not be too flirtatious with Spencer. He got flustered fast. And you weren’t sure how experienced he was, you didn’t want to move too quickly. Though your guys’ carpooling and coffee sharing was normal, it felt different for you now. More meaningful. You caught yourself blushing sometimes when the tall boy would bring in two cups of coffee, one with his name and one with yours. He’d even begun leaving sticky notes on them sometimes, ever since you did the morning of the phone call. You’ve saved them all in your desk, his handwritten script being some of the most effortlessly beautiful things you’ve ever had the pleasure of laying your eyes on. _____
You’re seated on the jet on the way home from the case. Directly to your left, is Spencer, who is deeply entranced in a book, “A Study in Scarlet,” by Arthur Conan Doyle, the book that he received in last year’s white elephant gift exchange, which took place before you began working at the BAU. Across from you is Emily and Derek, and Hotch and Rossi are at the booth behind her. JJ stayed home for this case as she is pregnant. She is in charge of files until she gives birth and returns from maternity leave.
The silence in the jet is broken by a head turn from Hotch who clears his throat. “Are you three up for dinner tonight?” He says.
“My treat,” Rossi adds.
“Well, if Papa Dave is paying, then of course I’ll be there,” Emily says.
“Sure, I’ll go,” you said, glancing over at Spencer who hadn’t even looked up from his book. “I’m sure Spence will come too.” Derek kicked you under the table and gave you a wink. His teasings were the main reason you haven't made any moves on Spencer prior to hearing him speak to his mother about you.
Almost on beat, Spencer looks up, “Yeah, I’ll be there. I’ll just need a ride if that’s alright,” he said. His eyes met yours.
“I’ll give you a ride, Spence.” Another kick from Derek, this time, you kick him back. Emily catches on to the teasing game of footsies going on under the table and gives you and Derek a cheeky grin. You roll your eyes at the two of them and pull your feet into your lap. Sitting criss-cross now, you pull out your book of crossword puzzles and begin scribbling answers.
______
You weren’t quite sure how much time had passed. Emily and Derek had fallen asleep, and not a peep had been heard from Rossi or Hotch either. Spencer was still awake and was coming up on the final few pages of his book. He was curled into a small ball against the wall in the corner of the seat, his knees to his chest and feet pointed toward you. His mismatched socks peeked out from beneath his khakis, one pink and one yellow. The shoestring of his left converse was coming untied. Untied! That was the answer to the last line of your puzzle! You subconsciously thank Spencer for his accidental aid to your old woman games, and it’s almost as if he heard it. He looks at his watch, then up at you.
“Hmm, we should be back in Quantico in 17 minutes. Taking to account the wind speed, maybe even 16,” he says. He crinkles his nose and returns to the last pages of his book. You scribble in the final word of your crossword puzzle and begin to pack up. You slide your puzzle book into your small carry on backpack, and begin to clear off the rest of the table. You pick up yours and Emily’s empty coffee mugs and reach around Spencer’s elbows which were rested against the table to grab his. You stack the three mugs together and grab Derek’s plate. Derek was the only person you knew who would eat four pork chops at 3pm, then agree to go to dinner only two hours later.
Spencer sees you take his mug and looks up at you. He gives you a smile and whispers a soft “thank you.”
______
Spencer was seated on the passenger side of your car. His eyes were following the flashing lights as you drove down the city streets in the darkness. It was 7:30pm. A little late for dinner, but it’s when the jet got back. Plus, you were hungry.
The light was hitting Spencer’s face in a way that made him look ethereal. Maybe you shouldn’t have said anything, but you couldn’t help yourself.
“Hey, Spence,” you say, alluding a hum in response. Can I tell you something?”
“Of course,” he looked at you. Somehow, from the repositioning of his head, the lighting somehow hit his face even better. The yellow luminescence shining through the windows made the honey brown of his eyes almost 3-dimensional. It felt as if he was looking inside of you. He was truly breathtaking.
“Okay,” you sigh, “please don’t hate me, but I kind of overheard you and your mom’s conversation…”
“What?”
“Well, just your side. I know I shouldn’t have, but I just couldn’t… I just… I need to-”
Spencer interrupts you. It was dark, but you could tell his cheeks were red. “So you were eavesdropping?”
“Spencer, I’m sorry. I just…”
“How much did you hear?”
“It was only the end. If you would’ve been talking about something personal I would’ve left but-”
“How is me opening up about my feelings for someone not personal?” He seemed a little angry.
“No, it is, and I know I shouldn’t have, but…”
“Yeah, you really shouldn’t have, y/n.”
“Spencer, I…” You looked at the man in the seat beside you. You didn’t want this conversation to upset him. You really wished you hadn’t spoken. You could see the betrayal in his eyes. You felt truly awful.
“You what?” He broke the silence, eyes meeting yours. He stared at you intently.
You took a moment, trying to find the words to say. You didn’t want to break his trust even more. “Spencer, I like you too.”
His eyes were blown huge. “Huh?” “I like you too. I’ve liked you since I first started working here. I didn’t want to try anything because I didn’t know if you felt the same, or if you even date because I know some people with this job don’t. And-”
You were rambling. You were trying your best to defend yourself. Spencer’s eyes were searching your face. He was profiling you. You were telling the truth.
“I, wow. I didn’t know you felt that way, y/n…”
You reached for his hand. It was cold and shaky. You ran your thumb over the back of it, letting it raise and drop with the veins it crossed. He began shaking even more, so you let go. He snaps his hand to his thigh, and with his other hand, traces the tracks you’d left. He smiles to himself and lets out a large sigh.
____
“You guys have a good night,” Rossi says as he climbs into his luxury sedan. The team had just finished a large dinner and were beginning to head their separate ways.
“Don’t worry, Papa Dave, I’ll get the kid home safe,” Derek says, giving Spencer a playful noogie.
Spencer agreed to a ride home from Derek at dinner. Maybe it was because their houses were only a few streets away from each others’, or maybe, he still felt a little awkward from your previous conversation with him. You didn’t mind all that much though, after all, you’d finally openly expressed your feelings for him. That was enough for one night.
Rossi carefully backs out of the parking lot, leaving you, Spencer, and Derek still remaining. You stuff your hands in your coat pocket; it’s chilly. You want this night to last forever, yet simultaneously, you hoped it’d end right now. You tilted your head toward your car. Spencer understood.
“Derek,” he says, “are you about ready?”
“Yeah, we can head out whenever you want.”
Spencer ran his hand through his hair before turning around to look at you. He gave you a smile. “I’ll see you Monday, y/n.”
“Bye, Spence,” you say, returning the smile.
_____
“Hey, Derek,” Spencer says as he rubs his fingers over his knuckles.
“What’s up, kid?” Derek responds. He looks over to meet eyes with him quickly.
“Can I, um… can I ask you a question?” Spencer looks at Derek like a lost puppy.
“Woah, the boy genius asking me a question? What has this world come to?”
“It’s about girls.”
“Oh. I see.” Derek knew of Spencer’s trouble with girls. Despite the darkness, he could see the light in the skinny man’s eyes. “Come at me, big guy.” He gave Spencer a pat on the back.
“How do I like… ask one on a date?”
“Oooh, who’s the special lady? Hmmm?”
“Derek, I’m being serious. Please.”
Derek could hear Spencer’s plea in his voice. He understood that Spencer was confiding something foreign to him and truly needed the help of an experienced man.
“Well, what does she like? Don’t take her somewhere too extravagant. Maybe a nice dinner or a breakfast date. Start simple and see how it goes.”
“Okay, but like, how?”
“Step one is speaking to her.”
“I have spoken to her… a lot.”
“The main thing, kid, is just to sound confident. Even if you’re not.”
“But what if she says no? Like how do I turn away from that?”
“There’s no reason for her to say no.”
“Yeah, but like… what if she does? What if she thinks I’m weird? Maybe this is a bad idea…”
Spencer was spiraling. Derek reaches over and puts his arm on Spencer’s shoulder. He turns to him, meeting his eyes.
“Even guys like you are capable of love, kid. Any girl would be lucky to have such a kind and caring man like you, okay? Just go with your gut.”
Derek rounded the turn to Spencer’s road.
“Thank you, Derek, really. I’ll let you know how it goes.”
“Have a good night, lover boy.”
“You too, Derek.”

D is for Diana
summary: you overhear spencer calling his mother and telling her about you. how hes finally found someone like him and who can understand him
word count: 675
warnings: none, just fluff and spencer crushing
Tumblr media
It was a normal Monday morning. The sounds of files rustling and pens against paper filled the room as people filled out their weekly paperwork. The only thing off was the slow speed the certified genius across from you was working. There was something on his mind, but from the look on his face, you could tell he wasn’t in the mood to share.
“Hey Spence, I’m gonna go make some coffee in a little bit, do you want some?” You asked, trying to find a way of cheering him up without trying to pry at him.
“I’m good, thank you though.” He said without so much as looking up from his desk.
You let him work for a little longer, before you finally let it get the best of you, and you just had to ask him. “Okay, Spencer,” you said, finally getting him to look up at you for the first time this morning. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” he responded. “I’m just waiting on a phone call from my mom.”
That made sense. Spencer always got nervous when his mother was brought up. His phone rang moments later, seemingly right on cue. “I’m gonna take this in the conference room, I’ll be back.”
Spencer opened his phone as he stood up, greeting his mother with a warm “hello.” He quickly ran up the stairs, nearly hitting himself with the conference room door as he entered. You giggled to yourself before getting up and making your way to the kitchen to make the coffee you’d thought about earlier.
_____
With a freshly made cup of coffee in your hand, you couldn’t help but follow your unconscious lead to the conference room, leaning against the door to make sure Spencer’s conversation with his mom was going well. You weren’t trying to be weird or creepy, you just were trying to look out for your friend. You knew sometimes his mom said things that hurt him, mostly without realizing it.
As you reached the conference, you heard the squeaky giggle you’ve heard so many times come from behind the door. You almost left it at that, but curiosity got the best of you as you leaned your ear against the wooden door.
“No, mom. She’s perfect,” you heard Spencer say. “Everything about her is perfect.”
There was a pause, Diana was talking. You wondered who he was talking about. Spencer hadn’t talked to you about a special lady before. Maybe you’d stick around a little longer.
Spencer began to speak again. “No, she is the nicest person I’ve ever met. She’s gorgeous too, mom… No, I haven't asked her out… No, no she doesn’t have a boyfriend… I just don’t want to ruin our friendship. And I don’t want to make work awkward if she says no.”
Work? The girl he liked was at work?
“I can’t just ignore her if she says no mom. Our desks are right across from each other. I’d have to face her every day.”
Oh my god. He was talking about you. Your face turned a shade of red so dark it might be classified as maroon. Your stomach had so many butterflies it felt like it was migration season.
You heard Spencer begin to tell his mom he’d have to be going soon, and you decided you’d better hurry back to your desk so he didn’t know you were listening. He’d die if he knew, you thought.
You thought for a second, before returning to the kitchen and pouring another cup of coffee in Spencer’s favorite mug. You knew he’d said no, but you also knew, especially now, how much it’d mean to him if he came back to a warm cup of coffee on his desk. You add 5 sugar packets to the small mug, just how he liked it.
You returned to your desk, sitting your mug on your desk and Spencer’s on his. You grabbed a sticky note and a pen and wrote: "For Spence <3,”before sticking it to the mug and returning to your seat.

C is for Case By Case
summary: there is a realization that cases get solved a lot quicker when you and spencer work together, often back at the station with a white board and your brains. Morgan can't help but think your guys' growing bond is too cute.
word count: 400
warnings: none, just some platonic (for now) fluff
Tumblr media
HOTCH: “You know, y/n, ever since I’ve paired you with Spencer on the brain side of the team our cases have been going by nearly twice as fast.”
Your supervisor, Aaron Hotchner, had called you and Spencer into his office for a meeting. You were a little bit nervous, as you two had been spending some extra time chit chatting recently as you two have gone closer, but the two of you had also gotten more work done than ever.
YOU: “Well, Spencer does most of the work. I’m kind of just there to check his work.”
SPENCER: “That is not true at all. I’ve really enjoyed having y/n around. Not only is she a huge help on cases, she also keeps me company. Plus she does all the chatting with the police departments.”
Hotch pulls out a file from under a stack of papers and looks up at the two of you across from his desk.
HOTCH: “So, what I’m hearing is you guys are both happy with your current positions?”
YOU: “Well, I can’t speak for Spencer, but I’m quite content as of right now.”
SPENCER: “I would have to agree. I’ve loved having y/n and the extra brain around.”
HOTCH: “Good to hear. I’ve been absolutely blown away by the amount of work the two of you have been putting in. You guys are the backbone of this team. Thank you guys. Really.”
YOU: “No, thank you.”
Hotch looks a little longer at the case file and flips through a few more pages.
HOTCH: “I really hope the jokes being made by the rest of the team doesn’t bother you guys.”
SPENCER: “Of course not.”
HOTCH: “That’s good, if you ever have any issues don’t hesitate to come speak with me. We cannot risk losing one of you two.”
SPENCER: “Thank you, Hotch.
”YOU: “Yeah, thanks again, Hotch.”
You and Spencer simultaneously stand up, exiting the office. As you begin walking down the steps toward your own desks, you’re greeted with a wolf whistle from Derek himself. Even though no names were mentioned, you knew the “jokes made by the rest of the team” meant “Derek Morgan.”
“You two are just so cute,” Derek says, giving a corny smile. You and Spencer both roll your eyes and sit down, beginning to fill out the paperwork you’d been waiting to start on.

B is for Boy Genius?
summary: You outsmart Spencer in one of his most talented subjects: Poker. Derek officially removes his "Boy Genius" title, effectively aggravating sans-poker-champ Spencer. And someone is a little hot when he's angry...
word count: 2k
warnings: none really, some friendly bullying of Spencer by Derek but nothing that isn't normal in the show.
Tumblr media
“Straight flush.” Spencer says with a grin. He’s been in the BAU going on 5 years, and has yet to be beaten at poker by anyone.
“Oh, Spencer,” you lean in toward him and flatten your cards on the table. “Royal. Flush.”
“What? No way.” He speaks before he can even look at your cards. “Oh my god.”
“How’s it feel to be beaten at your own game?”
“I want a rematch. Outside dealer.” He passes the deck to Derek, who is sitting at his desk across the aisle.
“Pretty boy got beat, huh?” Derek says, beginning to shuffle the cards. He deals them out, planting a little kiss on the last card he hands you. “Good luck, sweetheart.”
Sweetheart is what Derek has called you since you joined the team. At first you thought it was a little weird, but by now you’re used to it. And to be honest, it’s one of the more normal names he calls his coworkers. So you lucked out there.
You see Spencer smirk, he probably has a good hand. Well, maybe not. He’s always had a pretty good poker face, no pun intended.
“What’s going on?” Rossi says as he makes his way out of his office to see Derek, JJ, and Emily all surrounding you and Spencer.
“Oh, pretty boy and girl genius here are having a poker-off.” Derek says. That’s the first time you’ve ever been called girl genius, it makes you feel a small tingle in your stomach. You look up at the former boy genius in front of you, he’s got a rosy blush on his cheeks and spreading across his nose and down his neck. His pupils have dilated. Oh... Maybe he’s just nervous. . .
“Spencer here just lost his first poker game.” Emily says, giving him a pat on the shoulder. It makes him jump.
“First and only.” Spencer testified. He clenches his jaw, making a small dimple appear. “Full house.” He slams his cards down and looks toward you with a smile.
You click your tongue. Rossi has now appeared and is watching from behind Spencer’s shoulder. Locking eyes with him, you slide his cards to the side. “Four of a kind.” you say as you sit each card down one by one.
Spencer’s eyes all but come out of his skull. Derek erupts in laughter, “Dethroned,” he manages to say. He ruffles Spencer’s hair. “How’s it feel having a new genius around?”
“I’m impressed.” Spencer tells you, ignoring Derek’s provoking remarks. “Where’d you learn that?”
“Oh you know, picked it up during my college years.” You say, shrugging your shoulders and giving him a half-mouthed smirk.
The crowd of your coworkers fades out, and everyone gets back to work. Your desk being directly across from Spencer’s, you see him studying the cards through the pile of binders and Manilla folders between the two of you.
“I still can’t believe you won. Twice,” he looks up from his desk to say.
“You just can’t give up the crown, can you, Spence?” You respond.
_____
You get up from your desk to go get your lunch from the breakroom. With a morning filled with poker and getting a solid new nickname, you’ve worked up quite an appetite. Upon opening the door, you bump shoulders with JJ, who is making her way out.
“Woah there, girl genius,” she says. “Watch where you’re going there.”
“Sorry JJ, the genius doesn’t come equipped with self-steering.” You joked.
Spencer is standing at the counter stirring a coffee. His head turned toward you as you walked in the room, causing him to lose control of his hands and the coffee-coated spoon went flying.
“Nor hand eye coordination.” Emily laughs from the table in the corner.
“Shut up.” Spencer mumbles, wiping the small mess he made up with a paper towel. “You know, the average win rate for professional poker players is only 47%.”
“Well, as of right now, y/n’s is 100.” Emily pats his shoulder once again as she walks past him and out the door, leaving you and Spencer alone.
“I don’t understand why everyone is making such a big deal of this little poker thing.” He says, a little annoyed.
You walk behind him and open the fridge. “It’s all in good fun, Spence. We all know you’re still the smartest by a long shot.”
“No, that’s not what I mean. Like, why has everyone been bringing it back up. I lost a game, big deal.”
“I think everyone is just surprised is all. I mean, you haven’t lost a game in five years, Spence. That's a long time.”
“Not really. Considering most of the people here are in their thirties, that’s only 1.5% of their life-“
You interrupt him. “But, they’ve only worked here since they were about 25, making that their entire time here.”
Spencer’s mouth drops wide open. He cannot believe you caught that. Especially before him. “I- Wow. I guess you’re right." He looks defeated, tensing his shoulders and taking a heavy breath.
"You're still the smartest person I know, Spence." You try to make him feel better. The corners of his mouth turn up in what would not quite be classified as a smile. "And the whole team agrees with me, they're just trying to get under your skin."
He giggles and makes a disgusted face. "Ew. You didn't have to word it like that, y/n. I've lost my appetite." He pushes his coffee away and grins.
You quickly grab a straw from the small four compartment organizer to your right, sticking it in the cup and taking a sip out of it. You swallow, blinking aggressively. "Spencer, how many sugars did you put in here?" He'd been autonomously opening and pouring in sugar packets since the conversation began.
He glances in the small garbage bin beneath his feet. "Um, thirteen." He says, pressing his lips together forming the "white people" smile.
_____
You walk in the office slightly later than your normal time. You took a detour to the local supermarket in order to pick up some yogurt for lunch, getting sidetracked by a t-shirt you found on the end-cap of an isle.
You grabbed the t-shirt and two bottles of coffee and hurried to the register, completely forgetting the yogurt you made the trip for in the first place.
As you reach your car, you toss your knitted bag, now filled with coffee and a t-shirt, into your passenger seat and quickly climb inside.
The office is about 2 minutes from the supermarket. As you drive, you play with the fabric of the black shirt peeking out of the bag. You wonder when you're going to have a chance to put it on.
As you pull into the parking lot of the BAU, you see Spencer hustling in. He must be running late. Odd. He was never late. Never. You saw Spencer’s rare fault as the perfect moment, and slipped your sweater off in the driver’s seat of your car. You slid the black tshirt over your bra, pulling the button up sweater over your shoulders and fastening all but the top button. You grabbed your bag, sliding it over your left shoulder and exited your car, shuffling in.
You met Spencer at the elevator, unsure how you both got there at the same time as he’d entered the building a good two minutes before you.
“Good morning, Spence,” you said and smiled at him.
“Mornin’, y/n. How are you?” He responded.
“I’m good, how about you?”
“I’m okay, I was running late this morning and didn’t have time to get my coffee, but other than that I’m doing well.”
You thought about the glass bottle in your bag. You knew grabbing two would be a good idea. You looked up at the tall man, feeling small as he glanced down toward you. “I stopped by the market this morning, I picked up an extra coffee. I was going to just save it for tomorrow, but you’re welcome to have it.”
“Oh, are you sure, y/n? Don’t feel like you have to give up your coffee because I was up all night.”
You wondered why he was up all night. What could’ve been on his mind that kept him up so late? You gestured the bottle over to him, smiling as he took it from your grasp.
“Thank you, y/n. I owe you for this one.”
The elevator door opened and the two of you began walking down the hall to the BAU room. Spencer opens his coffee, a satisfying “pop” sound as the seal of the lid breaks. You pull the glass door open and hold it for him as he takes his first sip. He scurries through and you follow, pulling your own coffee from your bag.
“Well, well, well,” Derek announced loud enough the whole building could hear. “Look who finally decided to show up to work.”
“Shut up,” Spencer retaliated.
“I didn’t know coffee was on the new genius this morning. Where’s mine, y/n?” Derek joked, smirking at Spencer.
You could tell this one stung a little bit. Spencer knew it was all fun and games, but having his one strong suit, in his mind anyways, be taken away from him hurt. You rolled your eyes and hurried over to your desk, sitting your bag down on the files you’d yet to fill out. You looked up, expecting Spencer to be at the table across from you, but he wasn’t. He’d walked away. You sighed and got to work.
Spencer returned about half an hour later, sitting down at his desk without even acknowledging you. He began aggressively writing on his paperwork, so aggressively that his hand veins protruded and knuckles turned white. By the clench of his jaw, you knew he was probably a little upset by the interaction with Derek earlier, so you decided now would be the perfect time to unveil your purchase from this morning.
You stood up, unbuttoning your sweater and slowly worked your way toward Spencer. You grabbed the deck of playing cards from his desk, drawing the man’s attention. He glanced up at you with a slightly raised eyebrow. Leaning down close to his ear, you whispered, “follow me.”
He shivered as the heat of your voice hit the back of his neck, but obliged. You took him up the stairs to the half floor located in front of Hotch’s office. “Just go with it, okay?” You said to him. He looked confused, but nodded in agreement despite.
You loudly cleared your throat, attention from the floor below turned toward you. You held up the deck of cards. You made sure your shirt was visible and gently brushed your side against the man who stood next to you.
“I would like to re-declare Dr. Spencer Reid as certified office genius. After further research, he has proven himself worthy of the title.” You announced to the rest of the team who had their full attention on you. Spencer smiled.
“You’re too kind,” Spencer said, leaning down to take a peek at your shirt that he’d noticed you’d paid extra attention to. He couldn’t quite see it as half of it was wrinkled from the curves of your body and the guard rail was disturbing his view as he leaned forward. He grabbed your shoulders and gently twisted them to face him. His eyes met your breasts, despite knowing he was just reading the vinyl words, you couldn’t help but feel your face heat up a little bit. You knew everyone in the office was watching you guys as well, making you even warmer. Spencer’s cheeks had a small hint of rose to them as well as he mouthed the words on your shirt.
“I’m with genius,” he whispered under his breath. A smile took over his face, but it slowly faded as he realized he was still holding on to your shoulders. He felt his cheeks grow red and he quickly pulled his arms back down to his side.
You opened your mouth to begin speaking, but right when the words were about to come out, the door to Hotch’s office swung open and he came barreling through, files in hand.
“Sorry to ruin the fun guys, but we have a case.”
