im watching clanaad dubbed, just because i watched but never finished it over a decade ago and i wanted it to be the same langauge i saw it in all those years ago, and im constantly being driven crazy by how everyone pronounces ryou as "roe." i can forgive the emphasis on the "MOY" in tomoya and tomoyo among other things, but how the fuck do you not understand ryou? i have a feeling they were told it was one syllable, as opposed to "ree-yoh" which comes more naturally to english speakers, and they just decided "okay fuck it the Y is silent then."

I had another repressed MLP memory not just reawaken, but reconstruct.

A few days ago, someone in a Discord server I'm in posted a meme of a song from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (or as I call it, the movie where they turn into humans and rip off High School Musical) and I clicked on it, none the wiser, only to have a series of revelations:

-I have heard this song before. -This song goes hard as fuck. -Despite my brony phase having ended at that point, I heard this song back when the movie came out and even then I loved it and listened to it all the time and I'm just having a relapse as an adult.

I'm honestly kind of dumbfounded how I managed to fall in love with this song as a teenager and an adult and yet somehow stuck by the decision that I wasn't a brony anymore back in the day. Not only is the song great, but the choreography of the scene it plays in also goes hard. It's really the closest western animation has come to emulating the wonderous grace of idol anime.

My only complaint is the song's title. How do you go to this much effort to making such a good song and never come up with a title better than Cafeteria Song? The least they could've done was call it Win The Crown or something.

I had a dream where Teen Titans Go made an episode about how they keep accidentally predicting things that the comic books do, so they have to go back in time and change how a certain Mahvel movie ends by predicting something else. There was also a song sung by Debi Derryberry and she kept dipping into the Jimmy voice. Somehow, I managed to remember exactly how it went.

i was absolutely dreading what microsoft charges for xbox live gold, seeing how they're the ones who started this trend of paywalling online multiplayer, and

it's still $60, same price it's been since 2010. i remember when sony first announced ps+ as a nice little way to get more games and stuff on top of the already free multiplayer you get on ps3, then ps4 turned it into a paywall. now theyve managed to beat ms at their own game.

today i learned ps+ went up to eight fuckin dollars a year at some point????

and not only that but this is the cheapest of three tiers. the second one just has ubisoft classics which, god no, and "game catalog" which im guessing is something like game pass, and the third tier is just cloud streaming and trials. good lord i didnt know consoles got so much worse since i last checked.

Not once, not twice, but thrice I've mentioned Super Lesbian Animal RPG to someone and they immediately started talking about Them's Fighting Herds. In all three of these instances, it was a fighting game fan who wasn't big into furry stuff afaik, but it's still such an interesting thing to me how they just somehow manage to deduce the similar origin story of MLP fangames. One person said "we could deduce the MLP connection based on the title alone," and I don't know enough Brony culture to refute that, so I'm guessing they had a point.
