this part kind of resonated with me--its hard to put into words but this episode kinda reminds me of how i lived my life as an nd person who tried very hard to mask and then becoming acquainted with ppl who didnt mask as much and were more comfortable with their nd traits and it did spur a lot of bitterness and envy in me. and maybe u dont necessarily have to take that reading of this but i like how in this scene toshiro is stating his feelings more genuinely and freely after he had spent a lot of time hiding them in order to be tactful. i think toshiro is an interesting and complex character

the laios/toshiro conflict is super well written ("let's honor falin's death" vs "i will stop at nothing to bring her back"). but also it's so fucking funny that this happens amidst the sudden reveal that your extremely beloved autistic main character has been slowly driving an asian man nuts through microaggressions.
