Another poster from the "Fortsetzung Folgt" series. There was so much variety to this series, this one is quite striking.

A few more from the Circle series. This series has a mix of different ideas: systems art, linguistics, color theory, animals, and ideas about printmaking. This was part of a series of 12 prints each printed in an edition of 12 with 144 prints in total. Each color circle was printed with letterpress, the image was printed with plate lithography, and the final layer of text was printed with letterpress.

"Cute Puppy", from Cheetahs Never Win #1, acrylic ink on Bristol. If it's not obvious, Raymond Pettibon was a huge influence on me as a young punk growing up. I can claim to have been into his art before it was cool, or at least before he became an internationally known artist. I submitted this drawing to an open call for an exhibition at the MAK in Vienna. The curator, Oman Vulpinari, saw something in the piece and he used the illustration and named the exhibition after this drawing. This is currently in the MAK permanent collection.

Some early gig posters for the club FLEX in Vienna. In L.A. in the 90's a lot of underground shows had some really cool screen printed posters made, which was kind of crazy because some of these shows were attended by less than 100 people. When we made the move to Vienna, I thought it would be cool to print up a few gigposters, and to my knowledge, nobody else was doing this at the time. The Kills went to achieve a good amount of critical and popular success, and the Sea and Cake still perform to this day.

A handful of the drawings from the Kunst Für Alle (Art for Everyone) book from 2021. Published by KOERNOE. The idea was to make a book highlighting some of the more family friendly public art excursions in Lower Austria, it was fun and interesting process to interpret other artist's work. The cover image was a Katamari of public art pieces. All drawings are india ink on bristol. Lear more about it below!

Untitled. These series of prints were an experiment you can see the elements from the earlier series of prints, until the print becomes something entirely different altogether. I always liked this multi-layered approach to printmaking.

"Save the Dodo" Four color screen print, A3. Edition of 20. I've been obsessed with the Dodo for a long time. It's filled with so much symbolism, for many years the dodo was ridiculed and looked at as a symbol of stupidity, but I think of it as a symbol of humanities' carelessness. Save the Dodo, is of course a rallying cry for a lost cause. This image would be re-used and reprinted as the cover for my comic zine titled "Save the Dodo!"

Get Your Shit Together, from my artist's motivational series. One color screen print A3. These were mostly taken from Cheetahs Never Win, and turned into a series of posters akin to the classic "Hang in There" poster from the 1970's. More of this series forthcoming.

The Next Big Thing, would turn out to be a very consequential work of art for me. The design incorporates a new stylistic sensibility, and I tried to incorporate the bright colors and off-kilter printing common in Mexican printed ephemera. This particular work was noticed by Yogi Proctor and led to a collaboration, and this artwork was adapted into a series of skateboards and apparel for the conceptual art/skateboard company Popwar.

This is a short animation documenting us, painting a huge wall at the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich. We were invited by the guest curator, Ingeborg Strobl, to paint one of my drawings on the wall at the Kunstraum as part of her "Wir Wohnen" exhibition. Ingeborg was the best, and we miss her very much. Rest in Peace.

It was very cool and fun to make this drawing of the sculpture "Doora" by the artist Kris Lemsalu. Doora is a wonderful public artwork along the Danube, and is part of the Lower Austrian Public Art collection (Kunst in öffentlichen Raum Niederösterreich) It was also very cool to talk to Kris' partner Kyp Malone, I'm a big fan of his band, TV on the Radio! Black and white drawing using some pencils, brushes, and ink.

I'm really happy with this saber tooth logo design turned out. It's very basic and minimal, yet accurately captures the look of the animal.

This is a tribute to John Yates' Punk Note series, using an album that everyone pretty much thinks is Bad Religion's worst album. It's fun to ape the Blue Note style.
