By the way, it’s not that I really liked the concept of teruaoi in the new chapter, because I initially love them because they make a free choice, trusting each other, but here Aoi is again tied to a specific person and this is such bullshit. Like people also say that she clearly doesn't like this engagement because there is a difference in the way she looks at Teru and someone else - it's Nene or Akane, but for some of them she blushes, and not for Teru. Aoi is still not completely happy and it's a complete mess because it's not even fanservice, it's a stupid joke to supposedly advance the plot, erasing Akane's personality to stupid Aoi fan and stuff like this (I'm really mad tbh)

i actually think mitsuba is a great example of doomed by the narrative. not only does everything always fall apart when things seem to be looking up for him, without fail, but even if that wasnt the case he's screwed regardless of what happens. he cant be with kou forever, unless he dies. but he doesnt want kou to die, not so young, not for him.

the nature of the story doesnt allow mitsuba to have a happy ending. it really doesnt matter what happens, because mitsuba will always be miserable as a result.
