Tumblr media
Supreme: the best from the rest.
Style: a fashionable manner of presentation.
Making a comeback on the runway stage of Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival 2015, Studio One proudly presents the original fashion show concept of Supreme Style. Collaborating with designers Anrini Polim, Linda Mariani, Anaz Khairunnas and Melta Tan, Supreme Style by Studio One was a dazzling fashion show with a full house of attendance. In the Indonesian fashion industry, these four designers have played a different field of fashion. Their gowns is seen less on a commercial fashion week, but rather a runway with bigger grandeur: pageantry competition and the matrimonial aisle. Playing with yards of fabric adorned with lace and bejeweled detailing, 12 complete looks from each four designers glides slowly down the runway. Every onlooker in the ballroom of the fashion festival could see firsthand on each intricate detail that takes meticulous technique to make each and every look supreme perfection.
Anrini Polim, a former apprentice in the house of Marchesa, combined muted colors of grace and clean silhouette that accentuates beauty. Melta Tan, the perpetual student turned fashion designers, played with layering that creates a cascade of glamour. Anaz Khairunnas’ sleek silhouettes doesn’t veer his collection too much from the supreme; appliques of lace on pastel shaded gowns makes his collection a knockout. Last but not least, Linda Mariani didn’t make substitutes when going for the punch - which created a collection that is as ethereal as the heavenly clouds themselves. Their journey has just started and paving way for young designers to showcase red carpet-worthy looks, we will not be surprised when it comes the time where these four names will be uttered on the arrivals of the best red carpets of fashion history.

Bugaboo Van Gogh Art Jam
Tumblr media
Any fashionista moms would know that it’s Bugaboo that should be the “IT” product to have in the hopes to rear a stylish toddler. Studio One helped the launch of Bugaboo Van Gogh, a limited edition piece from Bugaboo. Held in dia.lo.gue Artspace, spring has definitely sprung with the tranquil turquoise that the Bugaboo Van Gogh has. Hailing from the Netherlands, it’s no surprise that their collaboration is with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and that Vincent Van Gogh’s painting ‘Almond Blossom’ made the cut to adorn such a functional piece.
Fan of Bugaboo, Astrid Satwika, was front and center as prove of her love for the brand. Art was a big theme to the private event as a coloring wall decorated the stark room and allowed all the boys and girls to channel their inner artist. to color inside the lines or go beyond it. Bugaboo is the patron producer of fashionable strollers as it has collaborated many times with fashion brands such as Diesel, Paul Frank and Viktor+Rolf. It’s no wonder that bringing this launch to also invite fashion publication becomes a part of why Bugaboo is proud to be a part of the fashionable crowd.

Atsuki Takahashi in Runway Hits 2015
Tumblr media
As a young and promising designer from Tokyo, Japan, Atsuki Takahashi is the fresh face that should earn the moniker “One To Watch”. Before graduating, an ensemble created by Atsuki was picked by Lady Gaga to be worn on her stroll around Tokyo during visit for her concert. It made people notice of this young man and it is one of the reason why he epitomizes the mission of Runway Hits. He takes risks but still can downplay each of his design to make it easy to be paired with one’s own favorite to create a look that’s well and truly unique.
Thinking singularly but unifying a whimsical theme, Atsuki plays around several shades of grey with dashes of commanding tones. His pieces transcends gender without emphasizing on a certain shape to accommodate any body type - male, female and everyone else. His collection is an image that of a boy who loved video games and his evolution from games to fashion takes place. It’s the definition of real life clothing that can translate into a game and what if clothing from within the game becomes a reality. With this collection made exclusive for Runway Hits 2015, Atsuki does breaks barriers of imagination and the pay off is great.

Austere by Tri Handoko in Runway Hits 2015
Tumblr media
Designer Tri Handoko has had an illustrious career in the Indonesian fashion industry. He’s know to create beautiful custom made pieces with a slight modernistic twist, but for Austere, he took a completely different turn to what he creates. Austere by Tri Handoko was launched in 2014 and has received rave reviews over his monochromatic touches in ready-to-wear collection. The collection he showcased for this year’s Runway Hits becomes his second ever collection to hit the runway and thanks to Tri Handoko’s creative director, famed stylist Ajeng Swastiari, Austere’s product heavily plays on patterns that makes high street fashion proud.
Titled as Ronin, Austere by Tri Handoko brought pieces that does justice to looking good without instilling heavy accessorizing. The yards speaks for themselves, the pattern looks clean and the embellishments are somewhat ethereal to mimics that of a Japanese ronin. When combined together, its warrior-like uniform commands the stage and made fashion lovers clamoring for more of Austere. Just like the label in which Tri Handoko creates, austerity is key.
