DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW PARANOID GEN 1 BREAKDOWN IS OTHER THAN ME?!?!?!

I’m writing a fic with a few Constructicons and Stunticons involved and want to make it as accurate as I can to the Gen 1 characters. Here’s what I found.

THIS MAN IS AN ANXIOUS, PARANIOD MESS. He’s the worst out of the Stunticon group with his mental illness - and they ALL have mental illnesses! Wildrider is insane, paranoid, and destructive; Drag Strip would rather die than loose a fight and is a show off; Dead End is a wannabe popular mech who sounds depressed as frag; and their boss (Motormaster) picks on and makes their issues WORSE.

THIS ASSHOLE EXPLOITS THEIR NEGATIVE TENDENCIES FOR FUN!!! ALL BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE CAN’T KILL OPTIMUS CAUSE HE’S MEGATRON’S KILL!!

But since I can’t help Breakdown with his team problem, I shall give him a friend.

*Enter Knockout stage left*

Now! This boi is a short circuited golden retriever, meaning he passes out when too exited. I don’t know a lot about his team, but Knockout would be PERFECT for Breakdown! As friends or something more I’ll let you decide.

So since Breakdown is a paranoid wreck focused on the negatives - Knockout could befriend him and Breakdown would worry about KO fainting! His awareness would switch from the negatives to positive things that could affect Knockout!!

Downsides would be being paranoid of Knockout at first since positive enthusiasm is not a Con trait, and Breakdown afraid of being the reason KO faints when he decides to trust and befriend the Back Hoe (yes, that’s what Knockout’s ALT mode is called).

These two are a perfect pair in Prime, so why not other Transformers continuities/timelines?

Fun Breakdown Fact of the Day: G2 Breakdown was the first BotCon toy ever! Only 300 were made and only 204 were available at BotCon.

Additionally, a G2 Legacy Breakdown has been leaked on TFW2005 (with no images as of yet) for 2025.
