I've never posted about this but I've seen it mentioned a few times. I do not understand how anyone can say this is Jungkook tripping. Like I can understand why someone would want to believe that, but you're either in extreme denial or you should get your eyes checked. I'm not joking.

He does intentionally push his face into Tae's neck (twice), but then pulls back. He is very clearly not falling at any point in the clip, he's literally still standing completely upright the whole time. Also, there's no one even behind him close enough to force him into Tae. Have you ever tripped and landed with your mouth on someone and do you not ever instinctively put your hands up to stop a fall? Does it look at any point like Tae is moved forward with the force of Jungkook falling into him? I'm sorry, that explanation is so ridiculous to me. 😂

There is another nape kiss too! And it's even more underrated. It's during Taes bleach blonde phase and I think it's preparing for Anpanman intro, and instead of Jungkook standing behind Tae, Tae stands behind Jungkook. He has his elbows resting on Jungkooks shoulders and making little bunny ears. Thinking he's under cover he leans in and leaves a little smooch. It's so cute! Their whole anpanman intro during that tour was best.

I know the moment you're talking about and I think that one is super overrated/exaggerated and nowhere near as compelling as the Citi Field one. Jungkook backs into Tae who keeps him in place with his arms making double bunny ears. It's a playful moment and you can't see a kiss because of Tae's arms but his mouth is over Jungkook's shirt on his shoulder. The nape is the back of the neck, so whatever his mouth is doing it's nowhere near his nape. I would never say that moment is on the same level as the nape kiss and if I did it would mean the nape kiss had gone way down my list to something not really meaningful at all.

I think my taekook holy grail is the "I love you" sign during the Wings Tour. I'm usually skeptical about a lot of the times people say they're doing the sign but I can't explain away this one. The way Tae did it behind his back and Jungkook hit his arm to acknowledge it? It all seems too purposeful to be some sort of coincidence

That one is definitely not a coincidence, and it's also one of my all-time faves. It kind of annoys me how much people reach to say they're making that sign in other videos when they're just like...pointing at something. When it was so clear and meaningful in that concert moment.

It's a little difficult to watch what was going on around this because I hate that Jungkook pushed himself that hard. The V Live Tae did from Brazil soon after this concert is also one of the times I think the ghost hunters got it right with the noises in the background. Someone else was definitely there and I believe it was Jungkook. Did you know that one of Taekook's handshakes (they have different ones) includes intertwined "I love you" signs. 🥺

I was originally going to say it was the days various "scandals" broke because they always target Taekookers, but I think everyone is tired of the mess right now. It's honestly all a blur but when I think of crazy Taekook days pre-solo era it's always the "private conversation" live where that phrase actually trended on Twitter and BTS got extra loud posting a bunch of updates on their official account for some reason???? Also, the day they posted this:

The timeline was in shambles. I still wonder what was going on there. Oh, also the og K-Taekooker kookvbot who disappeared a long time ago but was still active when Bon Voyage season 2 aired and caught Taekook in the background having a conversation about wanting to live in Hawaii together that did not get subtitled. I don't even know if that is talked about much anymore, but she's a legend.

I think the nape kiss is something that my brain instinctively tries to deny because if it really is what it looks like it is then that reveals a lot. Like it's like my brain almost can't comprehend the gravity of something like that if that makes sense lol. But I really can't think of any other logical explanation for the way the whole thing played out. I think the members are generally more touchy and playful during concerts but nothing about the nape kiss was for the audience at all. Really makes you think

I know what you mean. I still have to yell sometimes when I rewatch. It is so definitely non-platonic to me. I can't believe it actually happened, and I can't believe I was actually at that concert watching them when it happened and I didn't know what Tae had done until a couple of hours later. If people who weren't there want to comfort themselves by saying it was fanservice fine, but I know it wasn't. I know that it was intentionally hidden from the cameras. I have the official blu-ray release, they don't show it. But we can see so many interesting things happening around it. Tae very obviously checking the big screen as he approaches to figure out EXACTLY where he needs to be to not be caught by the official cams. Jungkook's reaction, he has no idea what to do afterward and appears to be stunned for a few seconds. The way Tae gently reaches out and holds his arm while looking directly at him while he sings his line. It is my #1, it is my Taekook holy grail. I think it is as close as we will get to proof unless they come out and there is a pic or video of a more intimate moment.

Oh on this I agree. I didn't mean bad judge of character just in relation to the child exploitation issue, because that is something that is sadly built into the basic structure of the entertainment industry. I meant him putting the absolute worst people in very powerful positions within his company. I'd think he'd at least try to protect the company and his money but he picks the worst people for these positions so often I think he really is just a terrible business man who got very very lucky. The big problem is he decided based on that one stroke of extremely good luck that he was going to build a global music empire. It's an insane idea. As far as sitting on the questionable info, this has all been brought up before and is out there for everyone to see because fans have compiled it all. Not because the company decided to use it against her. I don't think they will use this against her. It wouldn't just be an indictment of her and Hybe, but most of this stuff she did when she was working for SM. That'd be a whole new circus.

bh knew the repercussions of inserting bts into their mediaplay. they didn’t care enough to not to. they went ahead with their risky plan fully well knowing that it’d be their own artists thrown under the bus. which is exactly what happened. now there’s a hate campaign out of control. they’re literally fixing their own mess and army is praising them for it. but we’re supposed to believe they support their artists and care for their well-being.

Are you suggesting that this large and obviously well-organized smear campaign that had so many accts ready to post threads on Twitter and spam Kpop subreddits with comments favoring MHJ that they had to lock discussions was BigHit's doing? You may have some new people on here who haven't seen this before and will help spread your agenda, but that's not me. There have been hate campaigns against BTS going constantly. There's been one from within the fandom going for months. These threads are rehashing rumors I've already seen before. K-Army just started posting their old receipts they had ready to debunk a lot of this. It's the number of attacks that got BigHit to respond (do their job). They're hitting everywhere and in large numbers. It's impossible to counter something on such a large scale without the company. They (collectively everyone involved) should have kept everything quiet, but some people like to air their dirty laundry for everyone to see in press conferences. What are you gonna do? The attacks on BTS aren't new, unless you haven't been paying attention to anything outside of Tumblr where it remains relatively quiet. It's just the scale of it.

What do you think is a super underrated taekook moment?

I'll keep saying it: The nape kiss. I actually can't think of another that I think is super underrated because I have more complaints about moments I think are overrated (*cough* Atomix *cough*) But I almost never see anyone, at least on Twitter, hype the nape kiss and for me it's the big moment. If you asked me to point out just one moment that made me sure about Taekook, it's that one.

One kind of lowkey moment from solo era that I have pointed out before but that doesn't get a lot of hype is Jungkook talking about the Vibe video and casually giving away that he and Tae had watched it together. I think he just wanted to hype up this hilarious thing his boyfriend said and didn't think about it. 😏

this hybe ador drama as made me rethink a lot hybe’s relationship with their artists - namely bts but more specifically tae. it’s been a lot of years of questioning why he’s treated a little differently or put in situations we cannot understand but i now realize all these ceos aren’t sincere and they’ll turn against anyone for their own business interests. bang pd successfully rallied multiple fandoms against mhj - she is not innocent ofc! - who knows what mediaplay he’s invested in to rally tae’s own fandom against. there was a time i thought bts could separate a little from hybe now im not so sure.

This whole thing is so crazy, but MHJ is a walking red flag and has been for a long time. I was side-eyeing since the company brought her on board with all of her prior controversies and baggage. Sorry, but this woman has been very open about her obsession with the theme of child sexual exploitation and it's not one or two things it's a pattern that has been there her entire career.

(This thread leaves a lot out but I just saw it come across my timeline.) It's weird seeing so many people lowkey defend her but I wouldn't be surprised if people never really looked into her history. I know this seems to be unrelated to those issues, but still the red flags have been there. I'm no fan of Bang Si-hyuk, and oh my god he is NOT a good judge of character. He not only ignored all of this but welcomed and enabled her by giving her everything she wanted. I'm worried there are a lot more ticking time bombs in this organization. Right now I just want her gone as quickly and quietly as possible, and the idols involved kept safe. I hope no one else gets dragged into this. There's been enough mess these last few months.

as a seasoned taekooker, can you confirm if the fandom indeed has a different response when it comes to taekook as a pairing compared to other ships and pairings? ot7s say that its only because we the shippers ruin it for them. but what happens with the other ships? and why?

Yes. 😂 The shippers ruining it excuse is mostly bullshit because if that was the case other pairs with loud shippers would also be treated the same way. They're not. No other pair is treated this way. There are plenty of ships that everyone is fine openly romanticizing/sexualizing. Namkook? They love it. But I also think in a way Taekook shippers have "ruined" Taekook for them because they see the same things we do, they just don't want to acknowledge it and they don't like when we do. I see this all the time because a Taekook moment will happen and they'll all start bitching immediately about how they can't enjoy it because of how the horrible Taekookers are going to react (talking about it). They're actually mad at Taekook interacting at all, and especially mad at them being sus all the time. Here's an all-time classic.

Why would damage control not come from Tae? Because he seems more rebellious and would refuse? So... Paris was what then? These lives are some of the easiest to execute and understand "damage control" I've seen. First of all, the Dream premiere WAS a big event for them. There were countless articles about it, from SK and Japanese media, referring to them as a couple and the premiere as a date. Some even called Jungkook Tae's "girlfriend". There were so many that it stressed me out. So they go to the premiere, we see video and pictures confirming that they were hanging out with Wooga and bought snacks at some point afterward. The director of the movie also spoke about meeting Taekook at the after party. His statement is a little hard to understand because I've seen a few slightly different translations, but it seems there were two parties and the director complained about having a hangover the next day himself. 😂 But he does specifically talk about Taekook approaching him together to say hi. As for the lives, JK went live sometime between 5-6am SK time. Very late, or early depending on what your usual schedule is (I'm a night owl like Taekook so I'm usually still up when it is this time locally). Tae probably was passed out by this time. I wonder if this was a case of one of them agreeing to stay sober while the other got to let loose a little bit, or if the alcohol snuck up on Tae and he ended up more drunk than he intended. Taekook's apartments are close to each other. For all we know, Jungkook was feeling contemplative as he still seemed to be at the beginning of the live and took a walk to his home. As someone with a similar schedule who has lived within walking distance of friends and significant others, I've done this countless times. Leaving a friend's house after sunrise to walk home, I've wondered what people would assume about our relationship. 😁 When I tuned into Jungkook's live, my gut told me there was at least one specific purpose. Establish that he is home. If Taekook had gone to the premiere and then not appeared until the next day or later, the speculation would have been even more wild. Also, Tae might have been passed out at JK's place*. We don't know. Their living so close to each other allows for all kinds of things to go on that we don't know about. An extension of my gut feeling while watching JK's live was a thought. "I bet we'll see Tae live from his apartment soon." And my gut was correct. But Tae went live hours later, that afternoon. 🤷 Did it successfully establish that they weren't together, even though the lives were actually hours apart? Seems to be the case, because they stop existing when the cameras aren't on them. *I personally don't think Tae was at JK's place but I just wanted to acknowledge that it is one of many possibilities

You might be right, who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️. But, it’s never about what we think needs damage control, it’s about what the company thinks needs damage control. I’m pretty they keep tabs on what goes around in fandom. Dream was huge amongst Tkkrs! And, if it’s something they did on their own (which they have every right to) without notifying BH.. who knows how that would have been received. To non believers it’s just friends going to a premiere, but that’s not what it is to BigHit. To BH this is Tae and Jk taking a risk. The easiest way to fix it is to do a live like Tae’s. It takes no preparation, it’s fast, and it gets the thing done. Let’s not look at damage control as this huge thing that has to be planned and arranged in perfection. It’s best done as something subtle.

Jk went live pretty late. Who knows what happened actually.

But, it’s also possible they actually did just not sleep at each other’s place. I think Tae really had to go to bed and Jk (being a nightowl) might’ve just not wanted to go to bed yet and therefore chose his own apartment.

As a long time Taekook supporter, what’s your take on end of 2017 and the first six months of 2018 … Jungkook going radio silent on the hyungs, Namsan date in late January, JK angsty covers in late February, chatter that Taehyung did stay at the dorm for a few days….and Taehyung breaking down at MAMA 2018.

I think it was a way more difficult time than we will ever know about. I've been debating with myself about how I wanted to answer this because it gets into some sensitive issues. While I won't go into detail publicly, I have several specific reasons for why I think Jungkook was dealing with something in late 2017/early 2018 with an unhealthy coping mechanism. I don't judge at all (I did similar things at the same age) but I was worried. It's hard enough trying to figure out what is going on behind the scenes, and I feel like as a group they obviously had to be presenting a very different version of things to the public at that time. Again, I don't expect to ever know the details. But it was serious and they were hurting. I remember after Tae broke down on stage at MAMA, there is video of an interview backstage and he still cannot stop crying. As far as being a Taekooker back then, Namsan stood out at that time because we didn't really see much like that. Solo era really spoiled us as far as having receipts for a lot of these "dates" they went on. Jungkook doing angsty covers or recommending angsty songs was already a time-honored tradition by 2018. 😂 Really, being a Taekooker then wasn't very different from how it had been the previous couple of years.

I am confused about JK. He is hailed as the adorable, super talented, over acheiving, funny, humble maknae. Which is easy to see. But then we hear rumblings of ...

He never listens. He is a rebel. He gets sulky. He doesn't answer calls or texts. He is annoying, disrespectful, bossy. He has even recently said himself that he is not an easy man and has a temper and if it weren't for BTS members he'd be a bad person.

Do you see both these sides to him and if so how do you think that affected TK and their evolving relationship?

It's weird that I just saw an anon on another blog ask about JK-biased Taekook accounts on here and then I get this in my inbox. I don't think you're "confused" at all, unless you think there are objectively perfect humans out there and that only they deserve love and can be in relationships. "do you see both these sides" You mentioned like thirteen different personality traits, which two are you asking about here. I actually don't know how to answer this or what you're looking for here. I'm not putting either of them on trial or debating whether they're worthy of each other or not. I love Jungkook, but I'm sure Tae loves him way more than I do. You should ask him.
