We hiked to this hot spring last week in a snow storm, though none of the snow stuck.
The route in was as follows: a few bumpy miles down a dirt road, a couple miles of steep canyon hiking, and a shoulder-deep river crossing in 40 degree snowmelt.
The places I love best are like that. They’re out of the way, beside the point, scribbled out trails on handwritten pieces of paper. They’re a bit of a trek to reach. They’re not convenient or easy to access. They must be sought out, consciously aimed at. In order to arrive, you must decide, with all your being, that you do indeed want to go. #alwaysgoswimming

Possibly your not taking the removing the chains seriously. The messenger can only try to offer words of encouragement. I will admit that it took me a long time to remove the chains that continually kept me drowning. But always think of yourself of a work in progress. Don't give up.
