Aight so, 3 people liked that post and I guess part of me wants to tell the story of what happened two days ago because I still don’t quite understand it. So I want to kinda lay it out and I want to not be ashamed. Little embarrasses me, I take pride in that fact, so I don’t want this to embarrass me either.

So I guess this is what happens when you mix heavy psych meds with too much THC.

Two days ago--it’s odd to say it’s been two days, almost 3 now, since this happened--was my cousin’s last night in town. To celebrate or kinda, do our last little thing, we decided to see Pirates of The Caribbean. My other cousin had the idea that we should get high for the movie just so that way it would be more fun. Nothing crazy of course, we’re only talking weed here. But edibles.

Now this edible, I have had in the past. It’s like a rice crispy treat but it’s made out of Captain Crunch. And the THC is laced in it. So, I didn’t want to get super high bc we would be out in public, so I ate not even a quarter of this edible. And in the past, I have eaten up to half of this same edible without what happened happening.

So I noticed the piece tasted REALLY strong like, really strong. And my cousin said it tasted strong too. However I had eaten such a small amount it didn’t concern me.

Previous to it, I had only eaten some sugary stuff and ice cream and I was pretty dehydrated.

So about half way through the movie it hits me.

The movie stopped making sense.

I noticed my cousin had fallen asleep next to me, he was baked. When the movie was over, I tried walking, and that’s when I realized just how fucked up I was. I could not walk straight.

So I stumbled out to the lobby and stood against the wall, and--I have a heart condition where my blood pressure randomly tanks and it’ll make me pass out, it’s called neuro-cardiogenic syncope--I felt my chest flutter and I said I had to sit down because I felt faint.

This is where it starts getting hazy for me. I remember my grandmother asking me if I needed an ambulance and I said no, but I wasn’t going to be able to walk in my heels, so they helped me take off my shoes.

And then I had an overwhelming feeling of sadness wash over me. 

What happened next was told to me by others, I have no recollection of this.

Apparently I got really really hot like hot to the touch, I started to cry, and then I kinda started to slump down.

My Grandmother held on to me as I started fading out of consciousness and I started hysterically crying. It started from tears to full on, screaming at the top of my lungs, sobbing and at the same time, I started seizing.

The people at the movie theater called 911 because I mean, obv. It looked like I was having a seizure which was never confirmed or denied.

At this point in my own consciousness I was coming and going. I would come back momentarily, and I would be able to latch on to consciousness, and then I’d go out again and while I was out I was just lost in this daze that I swear to God I thought to myself “This is it, I have gone insane” and I felt trapped in my body going between half conscious and conscious states, it was the most bizarre feeling of my life.

I was eventually loaded onto a stretcher and at one random moment my eyes opened up and I asked for my grandmother and said, “Take care of Sunny.” (my Dog) because I was certain I would not be able to for quite some time. And then I was out again.

At some point in the ambulance ride, I became conscious enough to stop screaming. By that point I think I had been screaming for 45 minutes. And I was dead silent and I heard the EMT next to me whisper, “What the fuck.”

And I do not blame him.

When they unloaded me, they were rough to say the very least. They were yelling at me to try and get me to say something and rubbed their knuckles into my chest to get me to wake up. At which point I hear one EMT call over to his friend and say, “Yo, come check this out, this (chick,girl,some sort of misgenderment) can’t handle her shit.” As if I was something to showcase.

The next thing I remember coming around to was the guys taking my blood wagering who wanted to do what with me when it came to the orders. Blood work, EKG, IV, The works.

Next thing I remember is someone grabbing behind my jaw and pressing in on the nerve there. It was a display to my Grandmother that I would respond to pain but I would immediately go back out.

At some point because they couldn’t wake me up to take a piss they shoved a catheter up my urethra and that I remember very clearly because that got me started screaming again.

After that, they let me sleep and I woke up somewhere at about 5:45 am, they asked me if I did all of this intentionally, of course n o t.

I got taken home, and then I proceeded to sleep for the whole day p much.

Today I am still not 100% I’m still pretty spacey and disassociative and according to my cousin who had fallen asleep in the movies, he slept for like 2 days straight bc of the edible. We all came to the conclusion it must have been made with too much THC. 

Now I am on many psych meds. Many. I am not supposed to smoke or take edibles, I am not supposed to drink, I take full responsibility for my foolishness.

Some of the meds I take are Quentiapine, Venlafaxine, Rexulti, Buproprion, Gabapentin, and Clonazepam, just to name a few of them. Yes there’s more. So take all those and tack too much THC on top of that along with my mental health history?

You’ve got yourself one spicey psychological breakdown that is taking me a pretty long while to recover from.

So I do apologize for my delayed replies, I’m still recovering from this, please give me up until tomorrow to get back into the swing of things.
