Creators’ Discuss S4′s Key Scenes
Ehasz: To me, one of the things about [the coin scene] actually has to do with [the fact that] Rayla has had to come back after two years of obsession and being mission-focused on finding Viren. Part of her growth is that she wants to be more normal and see if she can rebuild trust with Callum. Now, Claudia has basically handed her the next thing to be obsessed about. Some of the questions going into Season 5 for Rayla is how does she balance what she now has against the growth and progress she thinks she made in the last two years. Is this more important, or is Callum or whatever else that's going on in the world more important? She'll struggle with that.

Series 3, Episode 6
“Eliza. I assume she is the reason you're late.”
“She... she was working the same case as me, yes, but that's no--”
“William, you talk of her incessantly. The things she says and does, her triumphs and disasters. Of course you claim she vexes you so and causes you nothing but trouble, but the truth is there for all to see.”
“My relationship with Eliza is purely one of friendship.”
“You are in love with her. ... Unless you can convince me otherwise. ... Well, I wish you luck. You will need it.”
“Arabella--”
“And I say this out of friendship, not malice. Eliza's ambition will outweigh everything, even her feelings for you. Nothing will ever be enough for her. Certainly not the future you envisage. You can see yourself out.”

god I loved every part of this episode so much??
but one of my favorite things is that the Djinn made the active decision that he wanted to stay here longer and give Nandor more wishes???
HE WANTS TO STAY... HE DIDN’T LEAVE EVEN AFTER NANDOR USED UP ALL HIS WISHES... I’M SO HAPPY...
