31 Days of quietYA: Asexual YA
DWelcome back to the holiday celebration, 31 Days of quietYA! Your mod has been kinda swamped this year, so it might just be posts from me this time around.
I have noticed the post of asexual books I have keeps making the rounds and it’s really out of date. I need to do a full update, but that takes a lot of time, since I have to do a lot of research on the non-YA books I’m not as familiar with. But I am very familiar with the YA books, so I thought I could at least provide y’all with another list of those! All of these books have asexual main characters or love interests. It’s very possible I’ve missed some (and some I left off because they weren’t on Bookshop), but I did my best!
All links are going to Bookshop.org and are affiliate links. I make a small commission if you purchase through those links at no extra cost to you. More importantly, you’re supporting indie bookstores across the US (or Britain, since they recently launched there!).

Books recs for queer books that aren’t visibly queer often lack books with pan rep, so [cracks knuckles] let’s do this. This is mostly YA, because this type of rec is usually aimed at closeted teens.
This list is based on the cover and synopsis on Goodreads. It’s possible a different synopsis, author bios, blurbs, and google searches might mention queerness. I’ve noted the books that are listed under queer categories on Amazon (*) and queer shelves on Goodreads (**).

31 Days of quietYA with your Mod: Asexual YA
While I do keep a running list of books with asexual main characters (which you can find here), it’s a long list and a little unwieldy and sometimes I fall behind on it. So, here’s a list of JUST the YA books that are already out or coming out in 2020. It’s likely incomplete because I’m not a perfect person and I can’t guarantee all of the representation is great, but everyone’s asexuality looks different so YMMV!
