have not read the invincible comics, but i’m really loving the show, though i’m curious about the apparently very many versions of mark that were a-okay with (or at least able to be eventually convinced to) taking over the planet for the viltrum empire

because our mark is so diametrically opposed to it, even when anissa comes up like ‘hey you know we can provide food and medicine and save lives right?’ he is staunchly of the opinion that earth (and other planets) should be allowed to govern themselves, even if that means making mistakes

and, you know, there’s a legitimately interesting debate to be had in the matter of free will (which could result in decisions being made that ultimately harm many) versus control (which would empirically save lives, but at the cost of free will), so i guess i’m not disbelieving that there are some versions of mark who are willing to side with viltrum, but the snippets we see, such as the version who paralyses eve, the various ones who indisriminately murder hundreds if not thousands of people, seem a bit too far

like what could nolan have possibly said? what would that mark’s childhood have been like? was nolan around more and able to raise mark more to the viltrum side of things? and what of debbie, who according to angstrom, also joins viltrum in many realities?? she’s entirely human!! she sells out her own, sole planet!!

anyway i hope in future seasons we see more of those versions and see a bit more of how they were convinced, and especially how they were convinced to the point they are happy with killing civilians and protestors en masse. i’d also be curious to see if there’s a version of eve who joins mark and nolan, like the versions of debbie who also join, as well as alternate versions of amber who either has to battle against her tyrannical boyfriend, or who chooses to join him

Anissa was born on Viltrum and is thousands of years old. She would be one of the many warriors that would witness Thragg's rise to Grand Regent of the Viltrum Empire. She debuted in Invincible #44 (July 25, 2007). While Mark Grayson and Debbie Grayson were having lunch, Anissa interrupts to get Mark's attention. She threatens to kill Mark's mother so that he would come with her. She meets Mark in the sky, hoping to convince him to aid in the Viltrumite takeover. She started by apologizing to him. She begins her speech about how Viltrumites would turn Earth into a utopia for centuries and rid the planet of disease, war, and death. A worried Mark asks what happens afterwards with her revealing that planet's eventual destruction. Their conversation was interrupted by Cecil Stedman and Mark has to save a cruise ship being attacked by a monster. She offered her assistance, hoping to convince Mark to help towards her goal. She slain the monster with ease by flying into its head. After, she and Mark helped the passengers and moved the cruise ship onto an island. Mark, exhausted from the ordeal, sat down while she stood, commending him. She asked Mark one last time if he was willing to come to the Viltrumite side. Mark refused and Anissa lost her patience. With a light warning fulled with attacks, she reminds Mark that he doesn't have a choice in this matter. She told Mark that he has no idea how much danger he's in. She, then, told him that another agent will come to check on his progress in either five months or five years. She leaves, hoping that Mark realizes the danger before then.

Was nothing but war so in order to create a semblance of peace a treaty was drafted it stated that the last descendant of the emperor upon their brith will be wed to the strongest and tallest female warrior and that the descendant must agree to every Command of their spouse this includes having a family with the warrior in question also the number of children born in the marriage is up to the warrior and warrior alone. the marriage is binding for all eternity meaning that the descendant cannot get an annulment finally the marriage will be recognized by the descendants Home planet also the descendant will have to leave their home on their 17th birthday.

[p.s the average height for a female vilturimite in this short story is 5’11 the tallest ones are 6’9 the average height for males is about six foot]
