Chocolate kisses and sweet confessions
(Aricka x Willy)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aricka could scarcely believe her eyes. Moments earlier she was on the verge of tears, in fear that the boy she had come to love was dead. Now; that same boy and the little girl she’d come to view as her own was running down the steps of the church. A gasped sob burst from her lips as she runs to meet them.
“Willy-!” She cried, and the chocolatier looks up at the sound of his name. The tired look that had washed over his boyish features seemed to melt away as a smile overtook, and the pair ran to each other, Noodle on Willy’s heels. Aricka threw her arms around Willy, who returned the gesture, Noodle’s arms going around both of them; the picture of a perfect family.
“Oh; Noodle darling-!” Aricka exclaimed, fussing over the little girl as well. She stands back up at looks at Willy, who was smiling at her softly.
“You’re okay,” they say at the same time. Aricka laughs and reaches out to wipe some chocolate from Willy’s cheek. The boy blushed deep red, and she shakes her head.
Noodle saw Abacus at that moment and ran off to hug the older man, and once again Aricka and Willy were alone. Willy clears his throat. “I- um- when we were in the vault- I couldn’t stop thinking-,”
“Oh shush and just kiss me already Wonka-!” Aricka interrupted, and he shakes his head, a chuckle escaping him as he obliged.
His lips had chocolate smeared on them, and she was getting chocolate all over her clothing, but neither of them could bring themselves to care as they had waited for this moment for a long time. “When I was in that vault- Noodle was there: and she was so scared, and I couldn’t help but wish you were there, or that we weren’t in the vault, but most of all I wished I had told you-,” he tries to explain what he was feeling.
“Yes Willy?” Aricka holds his face in her hands, like he was the most precious thing she ever had.
He shakes his head, his feelings too much for the moment. “I love you,” he whispers. “I almost didn’t get to tell you. I wanna make a world of our own with you. A world where you have a whole room filled with books and writing materials. A world where my factory is a reality and I can make all the candies I want and you can write the commercials for them so everyone can see them. I want to make a world where Noodle is safe and loved and happy, and I want you in that world with me.”
Aricka was crying softly by the end of his monologue, and he tried to comfort her but she was pressing forward to kiss him again. “Willard Wilbur Wonka…” she begins, and he was never so happy he’d told someone else his real, full name. “I love you, too. I want all of that- what you just said. I want it. With you. And dear little Noodle. Everyone at the laundry shoppe was my family but you two- you two are my family. I can see myself marrying you, and adopting Noodle- I already love her as if she’s my own.”
“Then let’s do it,” he says, still holding her around the waist. “You and me. I’ll make the sweets, you write the lyrics. Noodle can tell the stories. It’ll be a family business.”
“Wonka’s chocolate factory…” Aricka says, a dreamy smile on her face. Willy sees Noodle with Abacus, and he calls to her.
“Hey Apple Strudel-!” She turns at her nickname. “How would you feel if Aricka and I adopted you?”
Her little face lit up, and she ran to them, Aricka and Willy holding her tightly. “You’d be my dad?” She asks, and Willy nods. She turns to Aricka. “You’d be my mom? And I could go to school? And read all I want?”
Aricka nods, “Noodle, I’ve always seen you as my own little girl. This would just make it official.” Noodle cheered and wrapped her arms back around them.
“I love you, mom and dad,” she whispered, emotions making it hard to speak.
“And we love you, Noodle, dear,” Aricka replied.
And so, the day that started out Terrible and Dreadful ended Happy and Sweet.
As all tales regarding Aricka Fickelgruber and Willy Wonka will.

Life is pure imagination with you around…
(Aricka Fickelgruber x Willy Wonka)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A startled cry escaped Wonka as he fell down the laundry chute into a basket filled with sacks of dirty laundry. He pushed himself up and saw a small, feminine hand outstretched to him. He gripped onto the hand and it tugged him up- and then he saw who the hand belonged to- and she was a most beautiful lady.
She had soft looking dark brown hair- almost black in appearance. Her eyes were blue; radiating kindness and warmth. She held her other hand out and lugged him out of the basket when he took it. “Alright love?” She asks softly, her accent sweet and delicate. He nods and releases her hands, feeling his face warm as though he was still in front of the fire upstairs. “I’m Aricka, what’s your name-?”
He remembers himself suddenly, and makes a sweeping bow to the woman in front of him. “My name is Willy Wonka!” She giggled in surprised delight. “Say- wasn’t there an Aricka who went missing from the Galaries Gourmet-?”
The girls face darkened momentarily. “Yes, I did go missing, Mr. Wonka-,”
“Willy, please.” She smiles shyly.
“Willy, then. I did go missing, however not how you would think. My father was ashamed that I wore glasses, and so he cast me out. I didn’t fit his expectations of perfection.”
“That’s terrible,” he says, wanting to erase the sad look on her face.
“Never you mind, Willy. I love it here, actually. I get to be free, I don’t have to worry about being perfect. So; why are you here?”
“You see, I’m something of a magician, inventor and chocolate maker.” His face falls. “I just needed a place to sleep for the night and they tricked me- now I owe them 10,000 silver sovereigns.”
“Didn’t read the fine print?” She asks. The same hot flush covers his cheeks and he shakes his head.
“More like I couldn’t,” he admits bashfully. Aricka takes his hand again.
“Noodle and I can teach you- I taught myself and then I taught Noodle.” He smiles at the thought.
“I would be most grateful.”
~~~~~~~~
“You’ll work with me most days,” she says as she shows him around. “Back here at the barrels, using these spoons to stir the laundry in the soap and water. But; sometimes we need people somewhere else- so here’s the mangle. You crank the handle and it wrings out most of the water. From there you hang the clothes up to dry. Then it’s off to the ironing boards, and then folding.”
Wonka followed quietly, for once, content to listen to the girl beside him talk. She seemed to gracefully confident, and fully at ease in what seemed to be a prison. She turned to him and smiled, “but now it’s time for roll call. Always show up for roll call or they put you in the coop.” She took his hand once more and lead him to the hall for roll call. She smiled brightly at Bleacher, who grimaced at her in return. They waited for roll call to be over, and then Aricka lead him to his room, right beside hers coincidentally. He found himself pleased with the arrangement, and offered her inside.
“I want to thank you for your kindness,” he said. “You like chocolate?” She nods.
“With peanut butter in the middle,” Aricka shyly admits. He smiles.
“I know just the thing. Some liquid sunlight… a ray of hope… and a dash of pure imagination-!”
“Pure imagination-?” Aricka asks.
“Well- you like reading, so I thought making you a candy to bring your imagination to the forefront would be nice.” He finishes his confection and hands it to her- a purple candy shaped like a perfect rose. “With peanut butter in the middle, shaped like a rose- a sweet treat for the sweetheart…” he blushes as he says the last bit.
Aricka felt her own face heat up as she accepted the offering, taking a careful bite of it, feeling sad to ruin the pretty looking sweet.
At first, nothing happened.
Then. Then, she felt it.
A warmth like she was somewhere tropical washed over her, followed by a sensation that all her dreams would come true if she held onto them tight enough, and then- then-!!! She felt the most giddy rush of a feeling. She giggled and pops the rest of the candy into her mouth to capture the feeling a bit longer.
Willy rested his chin on his hand, watching her face intensely, raising an eyebrow in anticipation. Aricka grips his hand, and she couldn’t stop herself-
“Willy this is WONDROUS.”
He beams, “What was your favorite bit?” He puts his hand on top of hers.
“The last part- the giddy rush of feeling like I was a kid again- what was that?”
“Ah; the pure imagination. Pure Imagination captures the essence of dreams, urging you to explore your imagination, and believe that anything is possible. Pure Imagination captures that feeling-that deep within you lies the power to create your own fantastic realities.” He smiled. “I knew you’d like it.”
“I didn’t like- I LOVED it. Willy, you’re a genius- you have to share your magic with the world.”
He blushes. “I plan to- but- you really think-?”
“I know so-! You have a gift. You see people and make candy to fit their needs- Willy that’s genius-!”
Noodle pops her head in then. “If you two are done flirting, some of us wanna sleep for a few hours before we go back to work.”
Aricka blushes and released her grip on his hand. “She’s right. Goodnight Willy. Sleep well.”
“Goodnight to you as well,” he softly bids. “Sweet dreams to you.” She smiles and leaves the room; and as Willy settles down on his broken bed he decides that maybe things won’t be so bad here while he pays off his unfair bill.
Maybe he could even let himself fall in love…
