I’m trying to out-angst @flame-cat so here we are
Warning for blood mentioon and possibly gore ??? Idk I didn’t get too into it but just in case!!
Spoilers for v6c10 !
Oscar couldn’t have helped the panic that rose in his throat when he saw Weiss’ summoned grimm get shot down. He couldn’t have helped the panic that bubbled over when he saw Ruby, the person who had been so kind to him since the beginning, hanging from a cliff with nothing but her scythe.
That ‘she-devil’ and Ms. Calavera phrased it was about to shoot everyone into oblivion. Nora was shaking Jaune, Jaune was down, and everyone else was looking for ways to get Ruby off the cliff. Only the Gods knew where Blake and Yang were.
He just knew that they had to do something. They had to do something, and they had to do it quick.
His lips were moving, but he didn’t know what he was saying. Ms. Calavera turned up a couple of switches and made a sharp turn. Oscar knew that the missile that they were throwing would do nothing, but hopefully they could distract the Cordoven for a bit. The giant robot closed its fist around the missile, and Oscar knew that something horrible was to follow. The giant robot turned and opened its closed fist, sending the missile that the ship had thrown right back at them. Smoke and red flickered filled Oscar’s vision as the ship started beeping and going down. They were going down fast and straight. Oscar tripped over his own footing as the ship tipped and shook, a strangled cry escaping his lips as he stumbled back right next to the door. He could vaguely hear Ms. Calavera calling his name as he fell. As he fell, he saw out of the corner of his eye black circles that helped the ship slow down on his crash. He could only hope Ms. Calavera would be okay.
(If he was to be another one of Ozpin’s lives… why live?)
A sickening crunch filled Oscar’s ears as he bounced off the ground he had fell off, and he couldn’t help the scream that escaped his lips. Someone shrieked, but it fell on deaf ears. His shoulder and side throbbed horribly; He rolled a couple of times, his arms and legs getting small cuts from all the sharp rocks on the ground. He stopped right in front of the edge, and he would’ve launched himself into a panic attack if it hadn’t been for the fact that he was so tired. Black dots danced in his vision, and his eyelids felt heavy. Distantly, he could hear feet stomping and a call of his name.  At least he didn’t fall into the water -
The ground rumbled shook violently, and because of how limp Oscar’s body was he just… rag dolled off the edge of the cliff.
The same person shrieked again, and Oscar felt as if everything was going in slow motion. He knew he couldn’t swim - that was the first thought that went through his mind. He didn’t care enough to scream again, though - he was already too far gone. At this point, his eyes were fluttering shut. A burst of rose petals exploded in his vision, a hand reaching out for him, a black bird flapping its wings and cawing as if it was panicked, the sensation of cold, icy water shooting itself up and down his body as he hit the water and making a scream force itself out of his throat…
 OSCAR!
And then he knew nothing but darkness.
