Hey! could you do some hc with yujii and sukuna with a s/o whos deaf?

Yujii Itadori

Yujii is a sweetie like always

He definitely didn’t know sign language before meeting you

But you can bet he stayed up late every night until he was able to hold a proper conversation with you via sign language

Even if you don’t particularly need it and can easily read lips or prefer other methods of communication

Yujii still practices with sign language just in case

If you’re a sorcerer too he always wants to go on missions with you

Don’t get him wrong he thinks you’re hella strong and knows first hand you can handle even some extra tough cursed spirits that even he can’t handle

But he also knows there’s dangers in not being able to hear your surroundings in those situations and can’t help but worry for you like he does for everyone else

Yujii never wants you to feel helpless or less than due to your disability though

Would literally pummel anyone who dared to question your worth or why you’re a sorcerer

that’s not even about being deaf, that’s just Yujii, don’t mess with his s/o period or you’re gonna catch his hands

I can see him learning Morse code with/for you

Reason being he can easily tap I love you or ily on your hand/arm/back/etc during a mission or out in public without having to sign it in front of everyone or distract you from the mission

Plus now he can flirt with you openly by tapping cheesy things on you out in public without worrying about anyone else knowing what he said

This is especially helpful if you’re shy since he can tap stuff anywhere on you away from prying eyes

Most importantly though when being Yujii’s s/o is knowing that he treats you like he would any friend and any lover

he’s concerned for you not because of you being deaf but because he loves and cares for you, he learned sign language not because he thinks it’s the only way he can talk with you but because he’d try to learn any language if it meant being closer to you

Yujii would do anything for you just like he would anyone else and he makes sure you know that he’s not babying or underestimating you by doing these things

Belittling you or pitying you is the last thing on his mind and he’d be so upset with himself if you ever felt like he was doing that

Sukuna

Sukuna is not so sweet openly like Yujii, but he still is sweet in his own ways

For starters he doesn’t even bother noticing that you’re deaf

Like he just starts talking to you like he would anyone else and unless you try and stop him or seem like you don’t understand anything he said then Sukuna just won’t notice by himself

Once he does I mean nothing changes

Especially if you showed no sign of not being able to understand and respond to him then he sees no point in changing anything

If you need sign language, written, or just for him to talk slower you’re gonna have to basically beg him

But not really, since you are his s/o or maybe someone he has major interest in at the moment

He wants you to ask more than once but he’s not asking you for anything in return and easily adapts to whatever you prefer

Literally isn’t concerned for you during missions unless you have an accident that was clearly caused by your disability

Then he can be sort of an ass, likely making you feel belittled, insecure, and/or like he pity’s you

Sukuna is just worried, and you made him feel scared when something bad almost happened to you

and that’s something he hasn’t felt for anyone, not even himself

He won’t apologize for anything he’s said, at least not sincerely

The sweetest thing Sukuna probably does for you is leave you little notes

Nothing like ‘I love you’ but they’re his version of an I love you

‘if you die I’ll kill you’ or ‘don’t die’

Not the sweetest, but for him it’s better than nothing

Sukuna never really treats you differently before or after finding out you’re deaf

he doesn’t see the point in doing anything extra that he wouldn’t normally do for someone

And when he does treat you differently or more harshly because of you being deaf it’s only out of fear of losing you forever to some stupid cursed spirit

He of course will never admit this to you, but if you can read between the lines of his angry and harsh words you’ll see it’s because he cares deeply for you
