Planning for another show. This time the Auckland Blade and Knife Show, held in the Ellerslie Events Centre on the weekend of 23rd and 24th September. While primarily focused on artisans (blade makers) and suppliers, I approached the organisers and asked if there was interest in a display of antique swords. Since the idea appealed to them, I’ve booked a table and now have to decide what to show. The easy option would be to reuse my 1796 Pattern swords display.
Tumblr media
I will be using the same display boards and was also considering a 17th -18th Century theme of smallswords and broadswords.
Tumblr media
But others have suggested that sabres would be of interest. But which sabres?
An assortment from the collection, including French, British and Dutch:
Tumblr media
Or should I just limit them to just British ones so that people can see the variations within the patterns:

What does everyone think?

PSNA National meeting 18/19 May 2024 in Auckland
PSNA stands for Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa.
The message below is from PSNA's Newsletter No. 134
The 2024 annual meeting will be in Auckland on the weekend of 18/19 May. The venue is Trades Hall, 147 Great North Road, Grey Lynn. The keynote speaker will be Mazin Qumsiyeh from the Centre for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University. To register to come please email our National Secretary Neil Scott at [email protected] to let him know you are coming and if you need help with travel costs or billets for the Friday/Saturday nights.   The meeting is our most important organising event for the year and there’s a lot to talk about with the genocide in Gaza continuing. We elect our National Chair and National Secretary and national committee members – and we are always keen for an injection of new blood, new ideas and new energy! Does that sound like you?   The meeting is long overdue. It was planned for early December but the Gaza genocide meant we needed to prioritise the protests. Everyone is welcome to our annual meeting – book early to come to keep the costs down. We’d love to see you all there!

Benefits of Choosing Community-Oriented Housing Developments for Living
Are you on the lookout for a place to call home that goes beyond four walls and a roof? Welcome to the world of community-oriented housing developments – where the essence of living extends far beyond the individual and embraces the collective spirit.
In this blog, we'll delve into the myriad benefits of choosing housing developments Auckland that put the community at the forefront of their design and ethos.
Creating Bonds in Community Spaces
One of the standout advantages of opting for housing developments rooted in community values is the creation of communal spaces. Picture vibrant parks, shared gardens, and communal meeting areas where residents can gather, socialise, and build lasting bonds. These spaces become the beating heart of the neighbourhood, fostering a sense of belonging that transcends the confines of individual homes.
Whether it's a weekend barbecue, a book club meeting, or a simple afternoon chat, these community spaces become the canvas for fostering relationships that transform neighbours into friends. The shared experience of these spaces encourages a strong sense of community, making your house feel like more than just a standalone unit.
Safety in Numbers and Community Watch
In community-oriented housing developments Auckland, safety takes centre stage. The collective vigilance of a closely-knit neighbourhood creates a secure environment where residents look out for one another. This sense of communal safety goes beyond just locking doors; it's about the reassurance that comes from knowing your neighbours are there to lend a helping hand or keep an eye on your property when you're away.
The establishment of neighbourhood watch programs and collaborative security measures further enhances the feeling of safety. In a community-focused development, residents actively participate in creating a secure living environment, adding an extra layer of comfort to your daily life.
Shared Resources, Shared Benefits
Living in a community-oriented housing development isn't just about proximity to people; it's about sharing resources and reaping the benefits of collective efforts. From shared utilities to community gardens and tool libraries, these developments offer residents the chance to make the most of shared resources.
Imagine having access to a well-maintained communal garden where you can grow your own produce or a tool library that allows you to borrow seldom-used items without cluttering your own space. Shared resources not only reduce individual costs but also contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious way of living.
Tumblr media
Fostering a Sense of Belonging
When you choose a home in a community-oriented development, you're not just buying a property; you're investing in a lifestyle that prioritises connection and belonging. The sense of belonging goes beyond superficial interactions; it's embedded in the very fabric of daily life.
Community events, neighbourhood celebrations, and shared responsibilities create a collective identity that extends beyond the confines of your home. The shared experiences and mutual support foster a deep sense of belonging, making your housing development more than just a place to live – it's a community to belong to.
Enhanced Well-being Through Social Connections
Research consistently shows that social connections are integral to overall well-being. In community-oriented housing developments, the opportunities for social interactions are abundant. From impromptu gatherings in communal spaces to planned community events, the chance to connect with others is woven into the daily rhythm of life.
These social connections contribute not only to mental and emotional well-being but also to physical health. The supportive network that forms in such communities provides a buffer against the stresses of daily life, creating an environment where residents can thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
Resilience in Community-Centric Living
The strength of a community-oriented housing development lies in its resilience. Whether facing challenges brought by natural disasters, economic fluctuations, or personal hardships, the support system within these communities acts as a safety net.
Residents of such developments often find themselves better equipped to weather the storms of life, thanks to the shared resources, collective problem-solving, and emotional support readily available within the community. In times of need, the strength of a community becomes a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring benefits of choosing community-oriented housing developments.
Conclusion
In the realm of housing, the choice to embrace a community-oriented development isn't just about a physical structure; it's a commitment to a way of life. From creating lasting connections to enjoying shared resources and fostering a sense of belonging, the benefits of choosing such property investments NZ are both tangible and deeply rewarding.
So, as you embark on your quest for the perfect home, consider the richness that community-oriented living can bring to your life – a home that goes beyond walls and welcomes you into a vibrant, supportive community.

These guidelines can aid in selecting a quality restaurant in any locality
It is recommended to sample the local cuisine when travelling for business, leisure, or vacation. Sampling local cuisine is crucial for gaining an understanding of a new location. The likelihood of the event is low, despite its apparent plausibility. It is difficult to understand why they would not. How does one select a high-quality restaurant while travelling? Visitors may encounter difficulty in locating local restaurants due to unfamiliarity with the area. The assistance of a tour guide could expedite the discovery of one of them. Design a walking itinerary for a culinary tour at present. Prior to your travel, research online to determine the types of restaurants that may be available in the country you are visiting. Prior to making a reservation, it is advisable to review the restaurant's digital menu, pricing, and customer feedback. Identifying the best Indian restaurant in Auckland is a significant undertaking.
Groups and individuals, including families, can make reservations. A viable option could be to participate in a guided walking tour that includes visits to multiple nearby restaurants. This plan is excellent as it allows for the selection of a restaurant that aligns with both budgetary constraints and personal preferences. It may aid in determining which attractions are worth visiting and which ones can be omitted. The tour guide will provide a guided tour of the vicinity and offer recommendations for dining options and potential hazards to avoid. Language instruction is available for those who lack proficiency. Allocate time to peruse editorials from local publications and culinary blogs. Consulting recommendations from local food bloggers can aid in discovering enjoyable dining options while travelling. Bloggers from various countries offer their viewpoints on the culinary offerings present in their respective homelands. They possess high social standing and can provide recommendations for optimal dining establishments within the locality. When conducting a Google search for restaurants, include the name of the nation you plan to visit. Subsequently, peruse select blogs that centre on the gastronomy of the eateries in said nation. Consider reading nearby restaurant critiques to aid in selecting a dining establishment. Restaurant reviews written by previous diners can provide valuable insights into the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. This information can aid in selecting the optimal restaurant to meet one's requirements. Consult print resources such as books or periodicals to further explore the regional gastronomic landscape beyond online sources. They may furnish a directory of restaurants along with their contact details. Randomly interviewing local residents could be a potential method of data collection. When visiting a foreign country, seeking recommendations from locals regarding dining options can be advantageous. Not all individuals in the community will be receptive towards you. There are various possible enquiries that could be made. Hotel staff can suggest a diverse range of high-quality local cuisine. A dependable source of guidance and counsel is consistently available.

Wedding Planner - A Guide to Your Big Day
You've decided go for it . and so are now wondering ideal an ideal wedding. Most people are unaccustomed to managing this kind of major event, so I have come up with this planner being a guide to assist you to organize the top day. While some weddings are extravagant events with countless guests, other people are simple, intimate occasions given to close family and some friends. If you happen to be planning a not so formal wedding you do not need to observe most of the formalities, but you may still find many points of etiquette and time-honored rituals, you could possibly find useful. Discuss and determine the design and style of wedding you need ahead of time, considering that just what the bride and her attendants wear sets the mood and influence the flowers, transport, the ceremony and reception. Another decision you should make early is to will hold the reception and which will make photographs, since several weddings happen on Saturday and sometimes reception centers and photographers are booked up to some year beforehand. I hope you find this planner useful in helping you acquire a more relaxing engagement and enjoyable big day. The engagement As soon when you decide to marry, consider yourselves engaged. Your immediate families medicine first to find out. You may choose to hold off until you have bought the gemstone before announcing your engagement officially. The days in the event the engagement ring along with the proposal got on bended knee are long over - today the happy couple usually select the ring together. Take into consideration your coloring, lifestyle and shape of the hands in choosing your ring. hunter valley wedding planner If you're having a press announcement, traditionally the bride's parents arrange and pay it off. The common wording is: Steve and Jane Brown of Mt Albert, Auckland, are delighted to announce the engagement with their only daughter Emily to John, the eldest son of Mike and Suzie James of Lower Hutt, Wellington. Both sets of parents should inform other relations and the bride and groom should inform their friends. You may believe once engaged, the sooner you can be married the greater. But weddings, even small ones, take the time to organize, and 6 months can be an average period of time. Before you finally set your date you should determine the fashion of wedding, financial priorities and amount of guests. Check that the church or registry office, marriage celebrant, photographer and reception centre are common entirely on that date.

Welcome to Artifax
Formed in 1986, Artifax Software originally specialised in software for artists’ managers called ARTIFAX (ARTi filoFAX), later renamed ArtifaxAgent. This was adopted by most of the leading artists’ managers in the UK and subsequently in Europe, the USA and the Far East.
Soon afterwards, development began on a new product for room booking and resource management for the Wigmore Hall in London and the Grieghallen in Norway. ShowRoom, now ArtifaxEvent, became accepted as the industry standard for performing arts centres, used by the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall, as well as many other concert halls worldwide. National museums, galleries, theatres, cathedrals, government and local authority buildings all rapidly adopted the software. Later, working in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Festival, ArtifaxEvent was expanded to cater for arts festivals.

Your site could be for internal users who require simplified or focussed workflows, or for external prospects or customers. You might configure a single site for all purposes or decide that you need multiple sites, each with its own branding, features and settings.
Your sites are synchronised in real time with your installation of ArtifaxEvent, ensuring that both systems are always up-to-date.
Dynamic Security
The ArtifaxAgora platform can be accessed from anywhere, but you can control who can access each of your sites.
The rules you set work in combination to offer maximum flexibility. Once a user has access to your site, the information they can see is controlled dynamically, according to their relationship with each record. For example, you might configure the calendar so that everyone can see the name and type of every booking, but only the customer can see additional details.
The Future Is Bright
Future features will include the ability to process payments as part of the Venue Hire Wizard and to settle outstanding invoices, editing and cancellation of events, and the submission of artistic works for consideration by festivals.

Sthira Sukham Asanam | Mark Whitwell on Yoga Sutra 2.46
Mark Whitwell | Heart of Yoga
In Patanjali Yoga Sutra the quality of asana is described in the beautiful phrase Sthira Sukham Asanam (YS II.46). Sthira means strength, alertness, energy and intensity and sukha means softness, comfort, openness and serenity. Right asana practice should have the dual qualities of sthira and sukha present in equal measure as a balance of opposing forces.
How do we do achieve this?
We want to practice with open hands and to keep a gentleness in the fingers. Let all the joints be at ease. In standing asana, keep the front of the feet active and the musculature of the legs engaged (no dead weight through the heels). Move from the strong centre of the body and avoid placing tension on the outer limbs.
Now, simply participate in the natural receiving and releasing process of the breath. Asana facilitates the union of the inhale with the exhale, that’s all. So start where you are with simple asana and be with your breath. There can be a challenge as you explore the range of your breath capability but never so much that you are straining for breath. Your practice should be pleasurable and energizing rather than stressful and depleting.
Remember, Yoga is not physical or spiritual gymnastics and there is no goal. Don’t worry about trying to do impressive asana or to practice like anybody else. We are deeply programmed to take up disciplines like Yoga in order to try and change ourselves into an ideal person. Practice without this burden as a pure pleasure, as your intimate connection to Life. Nobody has to be like anybody else. You are flower blooming in your own garden.
The openness and ease of sukha enters our practice when we accept who and what we are. If we have shoulder problems or are restricted in the breath, we start from there and move intelligently. These qualities flourish in us less when we impose them on ourselves and more when we let the natural, intrinsic intelligence of the body function.
Tumblr media
What should our mind do during asana?
The balance between sthira and sukha also applies to the mind. Ideally, the mind is relaxed and comfortable whilst also being focused and attentive. My teacher Desikachar says, “It is attention without tension; loosening up without slackness.” If the mind is distracted during our asana practice then it is not really asana.
As we practice we discover for ourselves how to apply the right amount of effort (sthira) so that the mind’s tendency to wander is gradually replaced by its wonderful capacity to focus. It is not a matter of mind control. The mind ceases to wander when it become absorbed in a single direction, rather than when it is forcibly restrained or controlled.
The necessity for a personalized practice is clear. What effort without struggle means for one person will be different from what it means for another. We all have different constitutions, energy levels, health conditions, family circumstances, goals, and work lives that need to be taken into consideration.
As Desikachar writes,
“We cannot escape the need for adaptation. Adaptation is the application of certain principles, to achieve certain results. It implies: Knowing where the person is now and knowing where we want them to go. Adaptation is the means used to bridge this gap.”
For example, finding sthira-sukha for one student may require a morning practice of several rounds of Surya Namaskar followed by a long pranayama; for another, a lying down evening practice with long exhales may be appropriate; for a religious student, mantra, puja and guru devotion may be essential to the cultivation of this quality of mind; for a non-religious student, practice may need to be placed in the context of the student’s relationship with the natural world: to visualize the strength of the sun and the softness of the moon during asana. The student’s whole being must be considered — their body type, age, health, and cultural background. In order to become absorbed in our practice, we must be interested in our practice; it must be made relevant to our life.
In this way, the entire tradition of Yoga can be thought of as a vast treasury. The full portfolio of asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, yantra, and visualization are available to be individually applied.
This is why group classes where everybody’s doing the same thing are a problem or a compromise.
“We are not magicians,” Tirumalai Krishnamacharya would say, “You cannot teach Yoga in classes, it must be adapted to each individual.”
Tumblr media
Yoga is Relationship
The relationship between your asana practice and all aspects of your life is silken smooth. If you practice your asana in the way that is right for you, then the twin qualities of sthira and sukha will permeate your life. To be in life with these aspects in balance is the same quality of energy it takes to succeed in the world without creating stress.
There are so many opportunities to be very effortful with people and to make things happen in the world: publish books, build websites, build apps, run around the world meeting people, see this person, organize this event and so on. In that struggle, we eventually fall over depleted.
Whereas if we go about our life’s work with the balance of intensity and calmness, in which we keep the prana in the spine, then we are far more effective. You can be very effortful in your work whilst ensuring the quality of sukha — serenity, calmness, relaxation — is there.
So find a good teacher who really cares about you and who is educated in the tradition of Yoga. From there, invite the beautiful qualities of sthira and sukha into your practice and into your life.

Anthem’s summer reading list – everything you need to know about the latest magazines on the block
Tumblr media
This year saw drastic shifts in New Zealand’s ever-changing media landscape. As we endured lockdowns, we also faced months of uncertainty about the future of our most loved magazines, many of which have entertained and educated us for decades. With previously owned Bauer Media titles back on the shelves, as well as brand new titles, we can breathe a sigh of relief this crucial touchpoint of our culture and identity has new life.
To keep up to date with who’s who and what’s changed in the media landscape at the end of this tumultuous year, we’ve put together our summer reading list with our top reading recommendations for the festive season.
VIVA
VIVA magazine celebrates New Zealand’s ‘good things in life’, from fashion and beauty to food, design and travel. There was something special about leafing through Issue 01 shortly after the magazine took a leap from a weekly New Zealand Herald supplement to a full-glossy quarterly magazine in its own right. The first quarterly instalment, explains editor Amanda Linnell, is about Celebrating Aotearoa Now by reflecting on how 2020 has been a year that has “pushed us all to explore where we’ve come from, and discuss where we want to go”. As such, the content and characters that feature give the magazine a fiercely inclusive feel, with many wahine toa gracing the pages with their individual stories of creativity, ancestry and identity. A must read is Emma Espiner’s feature, an essay titled ‘Looking backwards to the future’, in which she reflects on how her Radio New Zealand journalist husband Guyon Espier was an unlikely modern champion bringing the te reo language to mainstream airwaves, despite initial reluctance from old fashioned or change-fearing listeners. VIVA is the perfect magazine for life-style enthusiasts, foodies and fashion lovers with a big skew towards women through the content’s deliberate inclusivity drive. The publication offers a voice for those who are champions for diversity and inclusion with reputable leaders who have compelling stories to tell - including food, beverage, fashion and FMCG clients.
Ensemble
Ensemble is an online magazine providing fashion and lifestyle news with a strong insider’s perspective. This insight comes directly from its industry heavyweights’ founders, former FQ Editor Zoe Walker Ahwa and industry face, Rebecca Wadey (ex-Kate Sylvester, Jo Malone London and MAC). Their byline is ‘for both intelligence and whimsy’ – a perfect escape in a Covid-landscape. Ensemble’s four content pillars are culture, fashion, beauty and people – writing content for a high-socioeconomic audience who are concerned with conscious consumption, the business of fashion, style trends and industry related issues. The magazine’s investigative journalism is Melanie Reid-esque in terms of quality and often provided anonymously from scrupulous sources. It balances the content nicely with light reads and trend reports.
Woman
Woman is an online and print magazine targeted at women 30 plus with articles on the latest in celebrity news, entertainment, local events and Kiwi women who stand out in their field of expertise. Published by Sido Kitchin’s School Road publishing, the magazine has a little bit of everything - from fashion, gardening, cooking, market appeal, beauty, art, home, wellbeing and book reviews. The features highlight inspiring stories of women who have achieved big things, including political editors Jessica Mutch McKay, Jane Patterson and Tova O’Brien who dive into their experience on the campaign trail during this year’s election.
Haven
Haven is New Zealand’s newest home and living magazine aimed at owners and renovating enthusiasts. The monthly magazine provides design advice, decorating inspiration and gardening tips, as well as showcasing local home, homemakers, food ideas and homeware trends. Haven’s content pillars are:
-          Edit – homeware trends and style influencers
-          Live – Kiwi homes that cross styles, locations and living situations
-          Transform – style ideas and advice for room makeovers
-          Grow – green spaces
-          Eat – recipes from Nici Wickes
The magazine targets everyday New Zealanders, rather than only featuring high end, lifestyle properties. It also profiles the interesting Kiwis who occupy the homes too, rather than just being homes focused.
SCOUT
Scout is a monthly, glossy magazine that pays homage to Aotearoa, New Zealand and the beauty we have on offer for Kiwis and, when our borders open, international visitors. We enjoyed learning about places through the eyes of a range of contributing writers, from Stan Walker on his home city  Tauranga, and Peta Mathias on Tairua. We also enjoyed reading about places we have been meaning to visit but never have, such as Tiritiri Matangi in Hauraki Gulf. The images are beautiful, and very authentic and true to life, rather than a polished tourism façade. The target market would be the domestic tourist or Kiwis wishing to explore their backyard. It appears to be a magazine for a wide demographic, that is not too high brow or elite, and accessible and relevant for many.
Thrive
Thrive, another magazine brought-to-market by School Road Publishing, is focused on all things health and wellbeing. Editor Wendyl Nissen has 20 years’ experience writing about wellness and vouched in the first edition that all content included in this magazine is “authentic and science based.” Each issue includes 3-4 long-form articles, ranging from day-in-the-life pieces that profile well-known Kiwis, to how to maintain DIY health and wellbeing practices from home. It’s relevant to anyone wanting to pay more attention to mindful living and comes full of tangible suggestions you can implement in your day-to-day life.
Tumblr media
North & South
This long form current affairs magazine is back. The monthly is targeted at informed Kiwis aged 35–64 who are “endlessly curious about the country they call home.” Using a blend of investigative journalism, essays, profiles and reviews, the magazine explores everything that is complex and fascinating about New Zealand. The first issue since the magazine came back into publication under its new independent ownership asks, “are we better off on our own” in this ambiguous Covid era? A must-read is Damian Cristie’s feature “Closed” that explores everything that is at stake as we considering when, and how, we can re-open our borders. Donna Chisholm also writes a fascinating piece about how scientists at the Centre for Brain Research are studying tiny pieces of brain tissue to find treatments for Alzheimer’s, autism, epilepsy and other neurological conditions.
Metro
Metro has relaunched under new independent local ownership. The revamp sees it become a quarterly (formerly bi-monthly) magazine, with bigger issues featuring the best of New Zealand. Online, Metro plans to develop several digital platforms to give Aucklanders insider knowledge of their city. It’s great to see proper long form features back. The features were all well written and highly relevant to the narrative of the last few months and beautifully designed. It’s still the best food section in any New Zealand publication. We also love that Alex Casey is a columnist, it’s a perfect fit for Metro. There is so much content in here, it’s the type of magazine that will live well on your coffee table to keep coming back to.
Fashion Quarterly
FQ sees a welcome return for New Zealand’s style conscious. The magazine is aimed at women aged between 20-49 with content including shopping guides, new trends and style inspiration. The features dive into local breakthrough designers, sustainable fashion, conscious consumption, at-home skincare and self-improvement. The December issue arrives months after its publication came to an abrupt halt in March, with a clear re-focus on inclusivity and commenting on social and environmental issues readers care most about. Jacinta Fitzgerald’s essay “Where to from here?” is an interesting exploration of fashion’s most unforeseeable year and the future for sustainability in an industry that has an unsustainable track record.
Capsule
They say times of adversity provide opportunity, and Capsule is a prime example of this in action. Following the closure of Bauer Media NZ in April, Kelly Bertrand, former Deputy Editor of New Zealand Woman's Weekly, joined forces with a group of other former magazine editors to launch Capsule, an online curated collection of smart stories and relatable rants. Capsule is aimed at savvy, strong, intelligent and stylish Kiwi women who want to know what’s happening, what’s trending, what’s new, and what’s worth talking about. Capsule aims to deliver clever content that resonates and connects deeply with Kiwi women and helps them feel successful, informed and entertained. The range and volume of content that Capsule covers means there’s something for everyone and every mood – you could be reading a Samsung vacuum cleaner review one moment, then learning about creating workplace opportunities for young Kiwis living with disabilities the next. Having just signed on a content partnership with Stuff, we can expect to see a lot more of Capsule in the near future – and we can’t wait.
Tumblr media
Woman’s Day NZ and The New Zealand Woman’s Weekly
After a hiatus following Bauer Media’s collapse, Woman’s Day and NZ Woman’s Weekly are back in full force to serve celebrity gossip and royal family scandal. The weekly print publications are primarily aimed at women aged 35 to 60 and in addition to reporting on the latest Hollywood red carpet faux pas, they deliver gripping real-life reads, affordable fashion, easy nutritious meals, quick beauty tips, entertaining puzzles and more. Overall, these publications provide entertainment and escapism – perfect beach reading material.

Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of April 7 KST:
A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly total).
A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on their monthly schedule.
Threads do not have to take place directly during an important date listed on the schedule, but must be related to what the muse is mentioned to be doing in the paragraph explaining their schedule/the company’s schedule for the month and/or their thoughts on the mentioned activities or lack thereof.
These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.
Reminder: February schedule posts are due by the end of March 7 KST.
Overall Company
To celebrate their new building and the success that has let up to being able to move into it, the company is throwing a party for all employees on March 24. Attendance is listed as non-mandatory, but, for idols, management will be strongly insisting they attend in order to show respect and thankfulness for the work of all of the other employees. It will be hard to get out of without a good reason, but there will be free food and drinks, though it’s a company party, so nothing will be permitted to get too out of hand.
Important dates:
March 24: Idol and staff party at Dimensions Entertainment Headquarters.
Dimensions Soloist 1
After a filming for online video series What The?! ASMR, where she’ll be asked to bring three items of her own choice to do ASMR with, the month is pretty low intensity, as she may be growing used to in the time since her last comeback. Her team is constantly reviewing potential songs, but haven’t locked one in as a comeback title track yet. She will be given the news that Dimensions will be having all three of their soloists participate in busking next month to help promote the new soloist, though, so she’s permitted to choose and practice up to six songs of her choice, though this must include her most recent title track as well as at least one other title track of her choice and at least one vocal or dance cover of her choice. She’s allowed to perform a song with one or both of the other soloists if she’d like.
Important dates:
March 8: What The ASMR filming.
Dimensions Soloist 2
To celebrate his second debut anniversary, he’ll be throwing a fan meeting at Yonsei University as a follow-up to his fan meeting in Bangkok last month. His official lightstick will be released on the first of the month is celebration of his approaching anniversary as well. As far as comeback prep goes, he’s expected to rehearse for his live performances since he’ll be playing acoustic guitar for both the title track and b-side “White” stages. He’ll also shoot for the album’s photobook.  He will also be given the news that Dimensions will be having all three of their soloists participate in busking next month to help promote the new soloist, though, so he’s permitted to choose and practice up to six songs of his choice, though this must include his most recent title track as well as at least one other title track of his choice and at least one vocal of his choice. He’s allowed to perform a song with one or both of the other soloists if he’d like.
Important dates:
March 8: Be Happy fanmeeting at Yonsei University Auditorium in Seoul, South Korea.
March 14: Photobook shoot.
March 30: Performance at Seoul Spring Festival Day Concert (see event).
Dimensions Soloist 3
Her debut is next month so the bulk of final preparations are underway. Since the company stylists don’t already have her measurements, she’ll have two fittings for her music video and stage outfits before taking off to New Zealand to shoot her teaser photos and music video. Next month, she’ll participate in busking with the company’s other two soloists to help promote her debut. She’ll mostly be performing her album songs, but she’ll be permitted one vocal cover of her choice to practice this month and perform next month if she so wishes.
Important dates:
March 8: First MV and stage outfit fittings.
March 15: Second MV and stage outfit fittings.
March 18-20: “I” MV filming in Auckland, New Zealand
March 18: Teaser photo shoot.
March 30: Performance at Seoul Spring Festival Day Concert (see event).
Gal.actic
Music show promotions end mid-month without much eventfulness, which is actually a good thing considering Gal.actic’s track record. Next month, the group will be holding a fan meeting in Guangzhou, China, which will be shortly followed by a mini concert in Seoul in May, so they’ll be in rehearsals for that this month. They’ll mostly be performing their most recent title tracks and their most popular ones, but each member will be granted a solo stage to perform one song of their choice. This can be a cover or a solo song they’ve released.
Important dates:
March 12: End of music show promotions.
March 30: Performance at Seoul Spring Festival Day Concert (see event).
Alien
As promised, March is the final month of touring before they get a break from large scale concerts for a while. They’re in the States for two weeks out of the month before they return to Seoul and they’ll be going back next month. Fans have been demanding a break, but Dimensions has too much in the plans for Alien to grant them one, and, instead, while on tour, the members will record another new English song, “Love U”. Once they return to Seoul, it will be time to record the songs they haven’t yet recorded for their next Japanese album.
Important dates:
March 5: We Are Here tour concert at Verizon Theatre in Dallas, TX, USA.
March 6: Release of “Who Do U Love ft. French Montana”.
March 7: We Are Here tour concert at Smart Financial Centre in Houston, TX, USA.
March 10: We Are Here tour concert at Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA, USA.
March 14: We Are Here tour concert at Hulu Theater in New York, NY, USA.
March 17: We Are Here tour concert at Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, IL, USA.
March 19: We Are Here tour concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
MARS
Their comeback is still two months off, but the MARS members must begin learning the choreography for their title track this month as Dimensions would like the choreography to be as strong as MARS is known for even though their concept this time is lighter than their most successful comebacks have been in order to fit the late spring/early summer season. The members will also go in to try out potential outfits for promotions ahead of filming their music video next month.
Important dates:
March 16: MV and stage outfit fittings.
7ROPHY
7ROPHY were promised to begin working on another comeback this month and management weren’t lying. From the beginning of the month, they’ll have a concept meeting for their comeback and then begin recording the chosen songs for the track list. They’ll be making their comeback in May, but their fifth anniversary since debut is this month. Four days before their anniversary, they’ll be in Taipei, Taiwan to hold their first solo fan meeting for Taiwanese fans. The set list will be pretty standard with their top title tracks and most recent b-sides. For their anniversary, each member will be asked to film a video with a message to fans.
Important dates:
March 12: Filming of fifth anniversary video messages to fans.
March 15: 7ROPHY 1st Fanmeeting in Taipei at ATT SHowbox in Taipei, Taiwan.
March 19: Fifth anniversary videos released.
Unity
The beginning of the month is the busiest for Unity members. They have yet another magazine photo shoot and then will be flying out on March 8 to the US to perform in Texas, before returning to Seoul on the 11th. From the 12th to the 18th, all members will be granted a vacation by Dimensions unless they have solo schedules to attend during that time. After returning from vacation, the members will have rehearsals in preparation for their Japanese tour dates next month.
Important dates:
March 6: Photo shoot for KStyle’s April issue.
March 10: Performance at RodeoHouston at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX, USA.
March 12-18: Vacation.
March 16: Release of School 2017 OST “Stay In My Life”.
March 30: Performance at Seoul Spring Festival Day Concert (see event).
              ↳ CHAMPION
Throughout the beginning of the month, the members will continue to meet up at the BC Entertainment building to rehearse choreography so that by the 20th, they’re prepared to leave on a short trip to Dubai to film parts of the music video for their sub-unit debut title track. In the days following their return, they’ll be busy with more promotional content filming. Fans are sure to notice that the same group of idols that was seen at the BC building is now taking the same flight out of the airport, but BC and Dimensions continue to not confirm anything to keep fans talking.
Important dates:
March 20-22: Trip to Dubai for “Jopping” MV filming.
March 23: CHAMPION focus trailer video [2] [3] filming.
March 24: CHAMPION group trailer video filming.
March 25: Additional “Jopping” MV filming.
March 26: Album photoshoot [2] [3]
Lucid
Compared to their jam-packed schedule over the last few months, March is more relaxed even though it’s the last month before their comeback month. Their album has been recorded so the focus is on choreography this month, as well as fittings and photo shoots for both the teaser photos and the album photo book. The concept of one of the versions of the album will be photos taken by the members of the other members, so each member will be provided a camera to take teaser photos with while shooting that concept version.
Important dates:
March 9: MV and stage outfit fittings.
March 12: Teaser photo and photo book shoot.
March 16: Release of “Full Moon” performance video.
March 30: Performance at Seoul Spring Festival Day Concert (see event).
