#Four tends to be near Sky or Twi or to Legend's group for the same reasons

I'm not including a situation where someone might be injured because in that case I'm thinking the bed goes to them by default or they are nominated for it. anyone who wants to be chatty goes to join the living room floor gang.
What are your thoughts and headcanons? Do you have thoughts on how the boys tend to approach assigning beds in inns? Who do the chain choose to sleep near when camping and why? What are their dynamics like when settling down for the night and getting ready for the day?
In "Mirror Vs Open Closet Door: Fight!" by Gintrinsic (here) Four refers to the chain's decision on how to split up between inn rooms as the "Link-per-room ratio" which I find very funny. He, Sky, and Time also talk about their thought process behind why they do or don't want to sleep in a room with some of the others which I find fun and interesting.
So! If you have thoughts and want to share them! *gestures to the post!*
#linked universe#linkeduniverse#alrighty! now for my answers-#for the ranch question I think it varies which is why I'm asking in a poll. What do you think happens most often though?#each answer is a fun scenario so it's difficult to choose#but I think they'd try to act politely around Malon and Time for the first couple visits with straws or rock paper scissors#or showing generosity by offering the bed to someone else. (I bet Malon saying they're charming is quite the incentive#for more possible compliments. The chain as a whole would want to prove her right xD )#Once they're more comfortable in the house though I can totally see Wind and Legend making a mad dash for it while Wars yells after them xD#Wind probably ends up sharing with Four a lot since they're the littles#or Wind snuggles in with Wars Legend Wild etc#Wild and Twi/Wolfie have claimed the spot on the floor by the fireplace.#For inn rooms / castle rooms / camping - I tend to group them by how they're grouped a lot already#but a lil mixed up#Time - Sky - Wars are the good rest trio. they want a good night's rest please let them get their beauty sleep. often joined by Four#Wars goes between this group and wherever Legend is depending on how chatty he is that night.#Twi - Wild - Hyrule are snuggle/proximity buddies#Legend is attached to Hyrule's hip or sets up near Warriors to gossip and gripe. I can also see him setting up near Wild#in the eye of the storm as it were or just an interesting place to be. Wild and Hyrule can get to chatting about everything and anything#so if Legend wants background noise (Hyrule and Wild podcast omg)-#or a conversation he can be half a part of and jump in and out of while getting ready for the night or in the mornings-#this is a good place to be. add Wind and things get a bit more chaotic.#Wind gravitates to Wars and Legend too when curious and chatty. He gravitates towards Time when he wants something calmer.#Four tends to be near Sky or Twi or to Legend's group for the same reasons#I can see Four and Twi having a little book club going during downtimes where they talk about what they're reading. Sky likes to listen. <3#Wind thinks they're nerds but so is he and he can't resist a good story so he orbits and sometimes settles in and peppers questions.#it's funny that Time Sky and Wars want to sleep the most but Legend follows Wars to chat (and ends up bringing people with him xD )#there could be some conflict there oooo#Twi is by Time#it's almost a circle but with clusters of sleeping bags near on top of each other and filling the gaps

Pleassse I am in desperate need of some hc’s abt your Lu wing au. I’m obsessed.
Hoooo boy okay then you asked for it.
Tumblr media
Time
Silent flight and heightened senses; he spooks the others cause they can never hear them coming.
Grip strength of ~300 psi.
His feathers are often ragged and dirty because they drag his wings on the ground.
Broods over everyone, but mostly Twilight.
His laugh sounds like an owl. "Hoo hoo hoo!"
Has a terrible sleep schedule, it's a debate whether they sleep at all.
Tumblr media
Twilight
Didn't learn to fly till he was 18.
Broods over Wild more than anyone.
The mother hen of the group.
Vocal stims!
Has trading sessions with the other corvid of the group, Legend.
Loves to collect insects; the only item he really hoards, the rest he makes into tools or something else useful.
Master of mimicry and has animal calls down to a science.
His voice is not his own.
Tumblr media
Warriors
The fastest flier of the group.
Hates dawdling and is constantly moving.
Prefers high places, he would rather sleep in a tree than anywhere near the ground.
Totally okay with the little guys riding on him.
He can appear brash and harsh due to falcons having a solitary nature; acting as a captain, you sometimes have to put business over personal matters.
Very protective over Time and Wind specifically.
Tumblr media
Sky
The slowest flier of the group, but the strongest.
Sky always bows to the others before he asks a question or starts a conversation, even if it is just a long nod, and he tends to expect the same because of his culture.
Happy to snuggle and comfort anyone.
However, he is VERY easy to piss off and you don't want him mad.
Absolutely brutal in battle.
Asthma and breathing issues in lower altitudes.
Can sleep while in flight.
Tumblr media
Wild
Can withstand temperatures of up to 3000°F. He is always radiating heat.
Wings can ignite with blue fire.
Heals faster than normal.
Glad to join Warriors in acrobatics and stunts; but he is far more reckless.
The worst preener in the group.
Will sometimes participate in Twi and Leg’s trading sessions, mostly if it seems like there is something he might like and he had endless inventory so his options are vast
Likes to chew on bones and will even consume bones; he eats everything really.
Commonly sleeps with his eyes open; he mostly does this in a manner that will piss someone off like when Twilight scolds him.
Tumblr media
Hyrule
Rarely bathes and mostly rolls in sand.
Tries to eat bees even though he is allergic.
Feathers are fragile from malnutrition and it is easy for him to get sick.
You cannot find him unless he wants to be found.
Hides under other peoples' wings and snuggles a lot; one could almost call him clingy.
Does become on edge about the raptors of the group often.
Tumblr media
Legend
Shamelessly steals food, mostly from Warriors.
Broods over Hyrule.
Hoarder.
Screeches or screams in your face if you spook him.
He will mostly apologize or show affection in the form of "gifts"; if he got in a bad fight with Warriors for example he might give him a coin or a river stone as a way of apologizing because his items are valuable to him.
Afraid of Sky after bad first introductions.
Only lets Twilight and Hyrule preen him.
Never goes outside let alone attempts to fly when it rains.
Tumblr media
Wind
Webbed hands and feet.
Can drink seawater.
Prankster.
Very impressionable, he will watch and impersonate others but will not admit to it.
He likes to ride on Time's back the most; the second is Twilight because he likes his mimicry and Warriors the third only because he likes to ride Warriors for stunts rather than travel convenience.
Not the best flier over land because he grew up on the ocean.
Dives a lot in the way he watched Tetra do it, he will collect shells and other trinkets if he can get deep enough.
Tumblr media
Four
Always eating or chewing on something; has at least two pouches dedicated to just food.
Fidgets a lot.
Likes to absentmindedly preen others to keep their hands busy.
Usually quiet; They can speak at a frequency the others cannot hear if they want to; mostly to talk to Minish if they see any.
Feathers have horrible insulation, they tend to huddle under the wings of others for warmth. They especially do this with Sky and Time, and sometimes Wild but they don’t usually trust him.
Can be very sensitive to the environment around them; their sense will pick up on things way before the others may realize what's wrong.
VERY territorial and aggressive about food; they don't mean it, but they are always hungry to some extent.

People don't give Wind enough credit. Yes, he knew he was still very young and didn't hold as much wisdom as somebody like Time, but he knew when something was wrong before anybody else did.
It's from how people act, that's how he notices that something is amiss.
So, when Warriors and Twilight are gone for far too long, longer than either tends to be, he knows that something bad happened.
He can feel it eating away at his thoughts as he nurses the stew Wild gave him, chewing slowly as his mind wanders. It got so bad that by the time everybody else was finished, he wasn't even halfway done.
“You alright there, Sailor?”
Legend asked as he lightly shook Wind’s shoulder, snapping the youngest out of his thoughts. He nearly choked on the mouthful of stew he had, and sputtered out a swear towards Legend before he cleared his throat.
Everybody was looking at him now, each with a worrisome look. Hyrule even had his hand in his bag, no doubt to grab a potion in case Wind was sick or hurt.
“Yeah, I'm fine.”
Wind lied, gobbling up all the stew in a short span before handing Wild the empty bowl.
“No, you aren't.”
Four said, as Time walked over and placed a hand against WInd’s forehead.
“I promise I'm fine!”
“No fever. Did something happen when you were in town?”
Time asked, but Wind denied it. At this point, everybody was focused on Wind, which made him finally stutter out what infected his core.
“Where is Twilight and Warriors? They are never out this long, and I can't help but worry. What if Twilight collapsed? Or if that infection had returned?”
Sky’s the one who grabbed Wind’s hand, telling him to take a deep breath to hopefully calm him.
“It is odd how long those two have been gone…”
Time admitted as he looked towards the pathway they had taken hours ago, contemplating something.
“Maybe they got lost? My Hyrule is massive, and fields tend to look the same.”
Wild suggested as he put away everything, now having the same worries as Wind. He knew just how bad his Hyrule could get, and he felt a Blood Moon coming sooner than he hoped. An injured Twilight and possible bloodthirsty Warriors being out during that time only spells disaster.
“We should probably try looking for them, then. Three groups, two in two, and the third will have three. Sky and Four will be group one. Myself and Wild will be in group two. Legend, Hyrule, and Wind will be group three.”
Time already was putting his armor back on as he spoke, so when Warriors and Twilight stumbled into camp he wasn't paying attention until Wind had run past him in an attempt to hug the two.
It wasn't until Twilight had growled at him that he stopped dead in his tracks. The hero looked near frantic as he held onto Warriors, growling and baring his now fanged teeth at anybody who dared come closer.
Wind noticed his eyes in a near instant. They looked fine at first, yet they seemed to focus on nothing. His pupils, slit and practically nonexistent, kept darting at every single noise or shift of movement.
“Wars… what happened?”
Time asked as he slowly tried to walk up to the two, which was met with even more snarls from Twilight.
“A Hanox… we didn't even see it before Twilight was sent flying.”
Another growl left Twi upon hearing his name, and he snapped his jaws at Warriors before returning back to listening to everything.
“I doubt a Hanox turned him into this.”
Four said from a safe distance, his ears twitching as we watched the older intently.
“He was dying, Four! It was either I turn him or bury him, and I refuse to lose anybody if I have the choice to prevent their death.”
“So you turned Twilight without him telling you to? You do know how drastic that is, especially with how much of a change this is?!”
Legend yelled out as he walked over to the two, trying to get Twilight out of Warrior’s grasp. Instead, Twilight pulled himself away and stood back, not wanting to get in the way of the unavoidable argument.
“Legend, stay away from hi-”
“He would've died, Legend! You didn't see how his bones snapped and poked through his skin, or how his flesh was torn and beaten! If I hadn't stepped in, we would've been down a hero… down a brother.”
Legend glared at Warriors, disgust written across his face.
“It wasn't your call to make! What if Twilight would've preferred death to this curse?”
“Well, he was knocked out and dying, so words weren't really an option!”
“Guys…”
“It doesn't mean you should have done it! Look at how scared he is! He’s probably never going to recover from this, and look how his eyes are too!”
“Guys, please…”
“If you were in my shoes, you would've done the same thing!”
“NO, I WOULDN'T HAVE!!”
“Get down!”
Legend and Warriors look over to the yelling just afar, eyes wide and bodies going stiff.
Currently, Wind was on the ground, being hovered by Twilight. However, Sky was holding him back, his arm being bitten into in an attempt to get Twilight to not maul Wind. Sky didn't even flinch as his arm was dug into by those fangs, instead, he tried to calm Twilight down as he and Time dragged Twilight away from the group.
“See… he nearly killed Wind and hurt Sky… our Twilight would've never done that…”
Legend said finally, his tone both sad and angry.
“He doesn't know who is what anymore. Once he gets some blood in his system, he’ll be fine.”
“Will he? We do not know how the vampirism will react to his Twili magic… he could just be a beast now.”
“Do you really have that little faith in him? He survived nearly dying to some unknown shadow magic by Dink, I have no doubt he’ll be okay after this.”
“He isn't like you, Warriors. He wasn't cursed, wasn't turned in such an unnatural way like you did. He might be a full vampire and we won't even know until it's too late.”
Warriors is now silent. The possibility that Twilight might just… not be the same anymore lingers in his mind. Did he make his brother a monster? Make him something that Twilight wouldve never wish to be?
“We will have to see then.”
Thats all he said before he headed towards where Sky and Time dragged Twilight. He knew he should focus on making sure Wind was alright, but Hyrule and Four was already on it by that point.
Guilt had settled in his gut, and he sighed.
He was selfish. He couldnt lose Twilight, and made him into something that could be a potential threat bigger than Dink.
He’ll be selfish again if any of the others were to be placed into the same situation, even if they wished not to be turned.
With a sigh, he walks over to the three, knowing now that he’ll make sure Legend was wrong. He’ll make sure Twilight remains his protective, caring and sweet self.
Even if it means everybody else hates him.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(Here's the next part 😊. I probably won't be writing the fourth one until later because I have been cursed with so much homework 🥲)
(I hope you're taking care of yourself)
