the pomegranate is most famously attributed to the greek goddess, persephone. though versions of the story differ: with some saying persephone was tricked into eating pomegranate seeds to be trapped in the underworld, and some saying she willingly chose to eat the seeds. pomegranates have a hard exterior that is tough to crack. your hard shell is a natural protectant and keeps you safe from those that only wish to use you. internally you are rich with bounties. you believe in living your life passionately and vibrantly. the idea of surrendering to a fate of being confined to anything, whether it be a relationship, a job, or family dynamic where you are not happy and lack agency is a terrifying prospect. it is fears like this which also prevent you from opening up and showing vulnerability to those around you. however, like the pomegranate whose seeds sparkle like gemstones, you hide inside you incredible beauty that only the most worthy deserve to see.

Sinking ships, raging seas and tumultuous hearts, love isn't easy for you. It's a struggle, a constant inner fight of should I? Can I? Do I? Fireworks, borrowed lighters and sparklers against a dark backdrop, yours is a love that burns stark and bright. It's scary though, like things that burn always tend to be, but for you it isn't the thrill of the open flames that gives pause and a slight stomach drop of terror, but rather the time when the flames go out, the sparkler ends and the night is cold and dark once again. Fireworks, borrowed lighters, a striken match, your love burns bright and fast and then maybe it passes, maybe the feeling dies out and you're left in the cold once again. And that's the feeling isn't it? Of being bored and waiting for someone to light you up again? To be fair, you do know you don't need it, but then again we don't often crave the things we need. And you crave and yearn and burn in the wait, restless in the knowledge that at some point someone will pass and rub you the right way, that some day you'll light up the night sky bright yet again. There's comfort in the darkness and solace in the predictable loneliness of the in between, but your heart still squirms inside you, waiting and willing and begging to burn up again. Your love might not be comfort, it's not one for the sick days, but then again, there's a reason why everyone waits for the shining lights in the sky during holidays.

So I've been replaying the Bioshock series this week after not playing them for a few years, and I really forgot how much I fucking love these games.

I am so utterly fascinated with Rapture (and Columbia too, but I just started game 2). The idea of an entire city underwater, devoid of natural light, air, rain, animals. When the 1st and 2nd games first released, I was constantly looking at fan art of Rapture and just so freaking obsessed with it all. I still think it's such a cool concept and I really love what they did with the story, but I think it could have gone so so many different ways and it's just all so fascinating to think about.

I've always been a really big cultural history fan, I love learning about the sociology of cultures and how people interact with each other. My favorite thing about video game worlds is often their own lore and finding out more about why and how exactly we got to this point that we're playing and exploring with our characters. It's just super cool that a team of people thought up all of this stuff and made an entire world from the ground up.

And Bioshock is definitely a game that draws a lot of empathy from you if you really take the time to explore and pick up all the diaries and such. I think it's both incredibly unfeasible and completely believable at the same time, and that's why it works and pulls me in so strongly.

Anyways I have no point except I fucking love Bioshock ✌️

Sol honestly wouldn't be that much of a phone-user. She'd have a painting for her background, I used Edward Hopper's "New York Movie", just because I think she'd very much enjoy his art.

I tend to keep my homescreen clean and almost-empty, making use of folders when possible. In comparison? Solita's is disorganized and cluttered. She learns where she put it, and it stays there.

She would probably have several different type of messaging apps for her needs, as well as any that could change her phone number when she needs it.

Mostly her phone is just for work and for catching pictures, not much else. She does keep games and things for entertainment on there, but she always forgets and never opens them.

List 5 of your muse’s favorite sensations. 1. The first snow falling onto her in the winter. 2. Finally getting a broken part in an engine to come out with her bare hands. 3. Seeing someone she cares about is happy. 4. Hearing an owl hoot in the middle of the night. 5. Putting on a brand new pair of sneakers.

Do they have any pet peeves? Being pet on the head and called cute because of her height. She will literally punch you in the gut for doing this. It's one thing to do it once for funsies, but if you keep it up she will find a way to hurt you for it.

Their comfort read? (could be a book, magazine, comics, etc) Any of the old comic books she keeps at her Aunt's house. Doesn't matter how many times she has read them, Kyleigh will go right for them and get lost so that whatever is bothering her goes away for a little while.

If the book they are reading turns out to be shit, do they push through  just for the sake of finishing it, or do they move  on and find something else? She will most definitely move on and find something else. If it can't hold her attention enough to get through it then it's not worth it to her.

Their comfort tv show / film Kyleigh doesn't have the kind of strength it takes to sit down and watch a TV show for a long amount of time, so her comfort movie is definitely Grease.

LOL no I think the fact that we're both fighters and we won't give up no matter how hard it may seem. I can be very stubborn too, and I have a tendency to run when things get a bit too hard just like Kyleigh.

What brings you the most joy about writing this character, right now? The fact that she is forming meaningful relationships with other characters, no matter what the verse is. Kyleigh is not an easy character to get along with, but the fact that others actually want to know her and understand her makes me so happy!

Who would win in a fight, you or them? Kyleigh for sure! I don't like fights, I avoid them at all costs. She runs to them and has literally no fear about it.

Any advice from your muse? “Stop caring so damn much about what people think of you. Just do what makes you happy and if people like it, good. If they don't, fuck them. You're fine just the way you are!"

my experience with the sonic series is sooooo funny because i got into it with Sonic X in 2006 and i was OBSESSED with it and it was one of my favourite things in the world but that was before my family and i had internet so i was 100% sheltered from both how fucking weird the sonic fandom is, and how much funny memes surrounding the series there are. and it wasn’t until many years later that i got internet access and started seeing people talk about how cringe and ‘cursed’ sonic is and i was like huh?????? the cute show from my childhood that was so fun and exciting that i looked forward to every day???? with the cool character designs and especially my best friend tails? the most important little creature in the world tails?? that show?? that show is cursed?? and then i took a single peak into the fandom and i was like oh what the fuck. literally i was that ‘what are you two FUCKING talking about’ eggman meme
