Not really sim related, but do you have any Kpop groups/singers you recommend for newer listeners? I've been wanting to listen to more but there are so many to pick from lol. Any suggestions would be appreciated if you've got the time!! ♡♡♡

hey nonny! :3 i’m not sure what groups you already know/listen to, so I’ll just list a few of my favorites!

boy groups

BTS - a seven member group (four vocalists, three rappers) that debuted in 2013 and have an awesome and extensive discography. they seem to have a little something for everyone genre and concept-wise, near endless amounts of content to enjoy, and just a really genuine feeling to everything they do. I recommend their songs: Butterfly, I Need U, Run, Awake, The Truth Untold, Outro: Wings, Awake, 2! 3!, Autumn Leaves, Tomorrow, Coffee, Converse High, Spring Day, Outro: Tear.

TXT - a five member group that debuted in 2019 under the same label as BTS. they don’t have official positions besides the leader (Soobin) and are a little younger than BTS (the oldest member is 23). their sound ranges from dreamy, magical pop to raspy pop punk, with elements of trap, hip hop, and r&b. they recently had a comeback with their EP, The Name Chapter: Temptation! I recommend their songs: Blue Orangeade, New Rules, Eternally, Drama, Blue Hour, Ghosting, Dear Sputnik, Frost, Anti-Romantic, 0x1=Lovesong, Sugar Rush Ride.

Seventeen - a thirteen member group that debuted in 2015. I only listen to them casually so I don’t know as much about them as a whole, but their music is extremely good quality in my opinion. I recommend their songs: Very Nice, Pretty U, Adore U, Holiday, 17, Ready to Love, Pinwheel, Left & Right, Mansae, Home, Don’t Wanna Cry.

Others I recommend: Wanna One, The Rose, Pentagon, Day6.

girl groups

Twice - a nine member group that debuted in 2015. The queens of cute pop that have evolved their sound over time to something more mature but still super fun. I recommend the songs: Perfect World, Cry For Me, SOS, Better, Kura Kura, Behind The Mask, Make Me Go, 21:29, Likey, TT.

DIA - a six member group that debuted in 2015 and released their last singles last year. One of my favorite girl groups of all time with underrated chill bops. I recommend their songs: Will You Go Out With Me, No, 5 More Minutes, Crescendo, Daily, Hug U, Nobody Knows, To You, Woowoo, Woowa, Good Night, Can’t Stop, Listen To This Song.

Kep1er - a nine member group that debuted in 2021. They’re still rookies but have super talented members and fun music. I recommend the songs: MVSK, Le Voya9e, Wa Da Da, Shine, Rewind, Wing Wing.

Others I recommend: Everglow, G-IDLE, ITZY, Cherry Bullet.

Meeting Yuta again would be an achievement, meanwhile I saw some other NCT members and Mr Xiaojun like 5 times 😭 when I finally got an opportunity to talk to him he signed my pc <3 I alsl came across Changbin, Yeonjun and Dino once, and Itzy while they were filming something. I went to bunch of NCT concerts in the past few months, I still have more to attend including Ten's con FINALLY TEN SOLO!!! I also saw SVT, SKZ and a few smaller groups, my last one was Everglow a few days ago <3

I miss being a massive Shinestar, there were a few anniversaries of my fan calls with him recently and I got sentimental. But yeah I don't speak to that many hardcore Atinys anymore so I'm not up to date with Atz. It's pretty sad, but maybe it'll change in the future. On the other hand I prefer to be more casual. Casual... meanwhile I gave so much fucking money to SM IT'S SICKKKK. I enjoy kpop music-wise still, but you're right something is a bit off lately...

In my defense, hear me out: I've only spent like 3 days in Vancouver! I barely registered what was happening, cause my friend and I were helping her friend who was giving birth 😭😭😭 she was not supposed to give birth at that time 😬. So if you by any chance were also birthing a child at BC Women's Hospital then perhaps we met! I also remember going to a food place called The Naam I believe as well as one really good, yet tiny Vietnamese vegan one. Oh and I visited a university, not yours though, but imagine agsjdhsjsjajddjskh
