#I DONT HAVE A STOCKPILE JUST SITTING AND WAITING

TG: [...] we never heard from [jade] again TG: or the trolls for that matter TG: after they tricked john into skipping way ahead and getting his ass handed to him by the denizen TG: i guess once they managed to sabotage us they were done with us
The trolls got two of Dave’s buddies killed and then dipped, so I think he can be forgiven for assuming this was their plan all along. We know that's not true, though - CG and GA, at the absolute minimum, aren't their enemies.
Whatever plan the trolls did have is probably in disarray right now, and I can’t even speculate as to why even the friendly ones have gone dark. I can picture Rose sitting in her room refreshing Pesterchum, as she waits for the fourth conversation that will never come, and then, for some reason, my eyes get a little wet.
TG: and since john died he couldnt get jade in on time so whether shes alive or not shes as good as dead from our perspective
Her crater is the size of the moon, so, barring some miracle, she’s been vaporized.
Her Dreamself would have survived, but the fact that she hasn’t contacted them in four months speaks for itself. Dreamselves do not, unfortunately, function as backup lives, and probably perish with the realself.
TG: i dont know what he was thinking TG: even we couldnt kill one of those things yet
He wasn’t thinking. The guy is completely passive, and GC seemed to have a plan. We need to nip that in the bud next time around. John’s smarter than this.
TG: with our higher levels and all our sick gear
Dave’s going back armed to the teeth, with a sylladex full of midgame gear. If he’s smart, he’s bringing some hammers, needles and rifles along with him, as well as a database of useful codes. There’s a lot of goodies this duo could have stockpiled for their past selves - it’s just a shame they come at such a hefty cost.
GC's ‘cheat’ may have screwed the kids over, but it looks like she's inadvertently given them access to another - and this one’s from a much more reliable source.
TT: After you go, what do you think will happen to me? TT: Will I just cease to exist? TG: i dont know TG: i mean your whole timeline will TG: maybe
If there's a question mark around her continued existence, then Rose should be coming with him, but that question doesn’t even arise.
Is she, for some reason, unable to time travel? Dave’s device probably only works for Time wielders or something.
TT: Is there a chance it'll continue to exist, and I'll just be here alone forever? TT: I'm not sure which outcome is more unsettling.
Man, this is kind of heartbreaking.
Rose is just barely holding it together. Her verbosity is gone, and her responses are, by her standards, curt. Dave’s changed, too - he’s more serious, and has lost most of the ‘spark’ he had that made his dialogue so fun to read. Not that his dialogue isn’t still entertaining, it’s just not fun.
In other words, has anyone else noticed a huge tone shift? This is the best ‘arc’ of Homestuck so far, but it’s also already the heaviest.

What do you think being child katsuki’s friend/crush would be like behind the scenes? Personally I see it as constant teasing and like pulling of the hair on his part but also some wholesome fun moments like pushing each other into like a stream or something and just splashing one an other or being competitive with the most random things and such
I love how you wrong the angry Pom Pom so I’d love how you’d see his friendship
no wait bc now im thINKING bout it,, rllY thinking about it
-firstly, i agree with everything u have said so far.
-little katsuki would absolUTELY pull ur hair. And not like, playful little teasing tugs either, no, he’s full on yANKING. ofc it hurts, so then u turn around and yell at him, but too bad for u bc that’s what he wanted the entire time. for u to pay attention to him.
-on the stream thing, absolutely. the second that little devil sees even a dROP of water, he’s trying to push u into it. i’m talking puddles, streams, rivers, lakes, even rain runoff from a gutter. doesn’t matter. if he can somehow push u into it, he will. he just thinks it’s funny when ur hair is all wet and u get angry, alright, and that’s the only reason he needs.
-challenges u to races. all the time, over everything. eating? race. tying your shoes? race. brushing your teeth? race. everything is a race with tiny bakugou, and he is determined to win.
-he builds the best forts. he just does. he’ll be like “look at this, i did it. bc i’m the best.” and point his little grubby hands at like, a three-story blanket fort complete with a garage. no one knows how he did it, but he did, and ur the only person he lets in for free. (everyone else has to sacrifice snacks)
-bro he’s a jealous/possessive adult, but holy shit, little katsuki is 100000x worse. if ur his best friend/crush than that means he’ll choose u over every one else, every time, no exceptions; now, that also means he expects you to choose him every time too. will throw an absolute fit if u dont. like, u wanna make more friends?? too bad bc he’s screaming at all of them until they cry and leave both of u alone. pls, i would love to say differently bc it would be -cuter~ but no, he is an absolutely toxic child. he just is.
-he will share his food, but only one piece. and it’ll be the 2nd to last piece so u have to sit and watch him eat the entire bag first. bc he’s a little shit. don’t ask me about this one i just know it okay
-kleptomania. i mean it. if he sees some weird shiny thing he thinks is cool and wants to show u, he’ll just take it. just completely swipe it out from wherever and whomever and somehow get away with it bc he’s a devious, devious genius child. but he’ll just stockpile these little things and throw them at u if he thinks ur upset. like his brain is just a constant loop of “wow, ur sad? what if shove some assorted trash at u? how bout now? wait- ur still sad? why? it’s a gift, and a good one bc i’m the best, so suck it up and be happy.”
-bb katsuki is constantly bragging. just constantly. like, and u can’t even tell him to stop bc he’s not rlly saying anything that isn’t true. he rlly just is stronger and smarter than most other kids. it sucks but he is.
-he is still somehow weirdly attentive?? as a child. like, similar to how he is as a teenager/adult, but be more obvious about it since this is before all that pride and embarrassment forms. so he’ll try his best to take care of u and make sure ur not getting hurt.
-tiny katsuki’s best misguided ~protective~ hits include:
1.) mercilessly targeting other snot-nosed children. pls bc one kid in ur class could throw a miLD insult at u, like “you’re a butthead” or something equally dumb and katsuki will turn around, slow and terrfying like he’s possessed and just ~explode~. lil mans beats the kid into the ground, even before his quirk develops, and then tops it off with a comment like “i bet your mommy doesn’t love you” while the other kid lies bruised and writhing.
2.) property damage. when his quirk does develop and he figures out u like watching his explosions, he’ll just blow things up when ur upset. like, as a way to try and comfort u. now, ofc it works bc what child doesn’t like loud noises, but he gets in big trouble for destroying things. not that it matters, he still keeps doing it. again and again and again.
3.) being an absolute stain on civilized bug society. like, if u don’t like bugs then he’s hunting them down. scouring for them and flipping over logs just to smash all the little fuckers right in front of u. and then saying “ur such a baby, Y/N. Look they’re all dead now so stop crying.”
4.) and finally, yelling at ur parents...... no fr. like, lets say, for example, ur mom is just doing her job, parenting you, right, but all katsuki sees is u crumbling and crying so he’ll just yell right back at her. ur mom will be like “i told you no for a reason, Y/n!” after u get hurt doing something dumb, n katsuki will look her dead in the face and “that’s stupid. ur stupid. stop yelling it makes you look dumb and ugly.” pls pray for him bc mitsuki beats his aSS when she finds out.
-ultimately, tiny bakugou katsuki is a menace. he is a biggest little shit on the face of the planet, okay? but even if he takes great pride in being an absolute holy terror to everyone and everything, he tries to be a little softer for u. maybe. if he feels like it that day.
so in conclusion, good luck charlie🧍‍♀️
—/—
no pls bc i love writing for requests sm!! this was so much fun ty ty!!! also,, deadass never thought much about child katsuki before, surprisingly, but holy shit i think i’m gonna fixate on it for probably forever- like he’s just so funny
hope u enjoyed @onepiece-baby !!!

given how they just, didnt get to making marnie a character with a storyline i guess it was kinda tricky to decide what to even do with her but i Think i got it
i went with a piers is old skool punk music and shes New school so like electric! and also a theme of like cute pkmn that evolve into gnarlier stuff, like a Character Arc
battle one
Tumblr media
(ability: hunger switch, moves: super fang, parting shot, stockpile , swallow)
(dont mind me just treating this thing like a hamster )
Tumblr media
(ability: rattled, moves: sand attack, tackle, tail whip, nuzzle)
(this move set is ASS compared to the lvl 5 beast it could be like flame charge? double-edge? fresh out of the egg? like omg, but marnie’s thing is being like an extra cute girl so her pkmn are like nerf’d by cute)
(this battle happens in motostoke with the other would be challengers! only 999 make it out of the whole region, marnie doesnt have a sponsor like a company but all her fans! she has like a pkmn version of a go fund me and runs like tons of social media stuff, shes like, an e-girl,a pkmn self made idol! sometimes people go easy on her just cause shes like, Cute but also like her rabid fanbase is scary! theres team yell stuff but thats a bit different)
(cheering and jeering are mechanics! ill figure it out 100% for l8rs but its like cheering  lets you endure strong attacks, heal from status effects faster and raises your stats i think like in order like your defense, your sp d, your speed, and then any boost after that raises your hp heals a bit, jeering increases your likely hood of having a critical hit, lowers your sp d, lowers your def but then raises your atk and then raises your sp attack,   it would totally effect return and frustration, like rages would be stronger in jeering, maybe jeering boosts dark moves and cheering boosts fighting moves, maybe they can all be split up like ghosts get boosts with jeering, fairys get boost with cheering, dragons with jeering and so On)
(but anyway so marnie gets like that cheer boost basically every time, she comes in fourth at the challenger tournament!)
---
battle two
Tumblr media
(ability: hunger switch, moves: super fang, parting shot, stockpile , swallow)
(this things leveled up but is moves stay the same!)
Tumblr media
(ability: rattled, moves: charm, tackle, tail whip, nuzzle)
(this pup is a higher level but its moves just get cuter! she doesnt evo it rn)
Tumblr media
(ability: static, moves: lucky chant, sweet kiss, tail whip, thunder shock)
(she adds a kinda suped up pichu to her team! v cute! wow!)
(idk when this battle takes place, but out of the four of the Rivals, she uses water gun on the mudbray for each spots, i think hop uses it once but then is like oh no wait, bede doesnt and shield doesnt)
----
battle three
Tumblr media
(no updates, just a higher level! i dont have exact places for marnie’s battles but gym wise, she sometimes passes hop, rarely passes bede and doesnt past shield)
Tumblr media
(no change, just a higher level!)
Tumblr media
(same as above!)
Tumblr media
(ability: cute charm, moves: camouflage, string shot, absorb, spider web)
(i did NOT sit though years of misty being made fun of for being afraid of pokemon just to have this teeny tiny cutie have unnerve!! people in pkmn world canonically dont have the irrational fear of bugs! begone!)
------------
battle four
(there are no changes except level boosts for the hamster and yamper)
Tumblr media
(ability: static, move: lucky chant, quick attack, sweet kiss, thunder bolt)
(she evos this one based on popular opinion)
Tumblr media
(ability: adaptability, moves: swift, covet, fake tears, baby-doll eyes)
(wow another Cute Pokemon! this is plot relevent! )
(omg idk how much to talk about plotline ideas or like, anything cause thats like New and exciting, maybe im already sharing too much already? much this is also like showing my work, gotta keep this nuzlocke honest)
----
battle five
(no move updates for any of the others! a part of me wants to be like, give them one new aggressive move but i think that’ll take away the Effect)
Tumblr media
(ability: punk rock, moves: disarming voice, rest, snore, tear-full look)
(im letting it have punk rock so crying moves do damage more haha baby joke)
(you see this pkmn a lot in the game, im not even sure if i like it but i want to use it again? baby yoda effect)
Tumblr media
(she’ll have her team order a bit shuffled for this, with pikachu going last, she’ll get it to dynamax without a band! i want to play off some of the plot points from detective pikachu since spikemuth was obvi inspired by it or designed in tantum with it)
----
battle six
Tumblr media
(moves update: super fang, aura wheel, stockpile, swallow)
(i have a general idea of what i want to do with marnie’s plot so the next time you see her all her pkmn are swole)
Tumblr media
(ability: strong jaw, moves: thunder fang, crunch, pursuit, hyper voice)
(it should tech have the other ability but im going with whats cool also i cant wait to make this thing look more fucked up an not like, the vanilla of dog shapes)
Tumblr media
(moves update: seismic toss, magnet rise, volt tackle, thunder punch)
(im surprised they didnt do a galarian raichu that was like gorochu? i love raichu so i might not do anything gorochu-ish but i do like how this gen was like early gen concepts into actual pkmn! so maybe?)
Tumblr media
(ability: merciless, moves: lunge, poison fang, giga drain, bug buzz)
(i was going to give it unnerve but its kinda boring unless youre up against a shuckle)
Tumblr media
(ability: volt absorb, moves: pin missile, thunder, double kick, skull bash)
(i love jolteon and the way it has moves that are like wild and will fukc you up)
Tumblr media
(ability: punk rock, moves: overdrive, boomburst, shadow panic, venoshock)
(they put so much like work into making sounds more viable for attack then added like two sound attacks that deal damage instead of like, a bunch? so i took one from a spin off game, ill treat it as a dark move, but hopefully the sound theme reads throughout this line up)
(its like the cup team she’ll have!)
(im worried that some of these teams im building feel samesy cause im like Sees Stats Change Ability “okay but what if it did damage instead” but i hope theyre coming across like a personality!)

Thanks to Seagate and LaCie, I Don’t Have to Purchase a New MacBook Pro
Back in 2016, when I purchased my MacBook, I thought that 1TB of storage would go far. At the time, I was using Dropbox to store larger files in an attempt to go all-in on cloud storage. Four years later, and I once again find value in having my crucial documents and files readily available without having to use a browser to get to them. And thanks to these LaCie and Seagate portable storage solutions, I’ve been able to do just that.
Over the past two months, I’ve been exclusively using LaCie’s Rugged SSD Pro and Backup Plus Portable hard drive. Both portable drives allow me to house all of those confidential and personal files and photos, but they are compact enough that all I have to do is toss one in my bag if I have to leave the house. LaCie was kind enough to allow me to pick not only the sizes but the colors that I wanted for each of these review units, but I tend to stick with black portable drives for no particular reason.
Lacie Rugged SSD Pro
The Rugged SSD Pro is available in Black only, with the Standard Rugged SSD model available in Orange. The Lacie Rugged SSD Pro is a secure and fast SSD system that allows you to not only have consistent performance but 256-bit hardware encryption for all of your personal information. This is typically my GO-TO hard drive for holding my work data, all of my backup GearDiary contacts, and personal photos.
Coming complete with a Thunderbolt 3 cable in the box, the Rugged SSD Pro can perform up to 2.8 Gbps, perfect for those more extensive libraries that you have taking up precious desktop space. Working from home, having this functionality allows me to quickly take large zip files, extract, and even combine them faster than I ever could using my alternatives of Dropbox or Google Drive — both of those require an internet connection and a monthly subscription. If I were to ever run out of space on the Rugged SSD Pro, I’d simply purchase another larger model for my stockpile.
The 1TB model that I have not only matches the 1TB of storage in my MacBook, but it manages storage like a champ. Being the first-ever SSD I’ve reviewed, coming from more traditional hard drives, this has been a delight to use. One caveat that I should mention, though, is that at ~5″, the included Thunderbolt 3 cable is pretty short. I found myself purchasing a separate cable for when I’m on the go until I had a friend show me how they attach their SSD to the back of their MacBook so they always have storage readily available and so they always know where the SSD is.
youtube
Just thinking that Apple would’ve charged me another $6-700 to add more storage to my MacBook was enough for me to consider SSD. What I enjoyed the most about it, though, is it has password protection, which allows me to secure my files properly. Family Photos, Passwords, and any other data that don’t want just sitting up in the cloud, in a service that could potentially end up hacked or canceled.
Thanks to LaCie’s ToolKit feature, not only can you sync with your computer and use it for Time Machine, but you can individually back up essential files, restore lost files, as well as continuously sync. But, of course, to do that, the drive would have to stay plugged into the laptop.
A lot of my friends use their SSDs for photo and video editing. But in my case, I use it for when we podcast weekly using Zoom. When I have the rugged SSD plugged into my MacBook, I can have our podcast shows automatically go into the SSD, which makes it easier to store without compromising any data speeds transfers or potentially losing the file. Before this, I had Zoom connected to Google Drive, which could be a potential disaster if Drive were to crash completely, or if my internet speeds caused the file not to upload correctly. I also can’t tell you how many times have attempted to download a large document or just a large file that could have been maybe 2-300 gigabytes, not realizing that my MacBook only had around 400 gigabytes left. Now with the Rugged SSD Pro, I never have these problems.
youtube
The Rugged SSD Pro by LaCie comes in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB. My next goal is to get the 2TB or wait until LaCie eventually puts out more massive storage for the SSD Pro so I can use it to catalog my Plex Server with movies and TV shows on the go. The 1TB that I ve been using has a sequential read and write of 1000 MBps per second and a write of 950 MBps per second, which is pretty impressive.
Measuring 3.9″ long by 2.6″ wide by 0.7″ thick and weighing in at just under 100 grams, it is easy to see this is the “get up and go” SSD to beat. Not only is it able to survive drops, but its grippy design keeps it from sliding around on a desk or table. According to LaCie, it can handle drops up to three meters and even can be run over by a car, which is more than AppleCare covers on my relatively delicate MacBook Pro, so I’ll take it. The SSD is also waterproof, which I appreciate, especially when I’m working in a coffee shop. The waterproof USB-C port sits on the long end of the hard drive.
To test speeds, I copied my iPhone Pro Max Cloud backup folder from my desktop to the Lacie Rugged SSD Pro to see how long it would take. For the 8GB backup, it took a total of six minutes to download on standard internet. I’ve taken advantage of the workaround shown above to attach the SSD to my MacBook — using the cable and some 3M Adhesive tape that I stuck to the back of my MacBook case. So when I’m in a coffee shop, it’s not sitting on the table; it’s attached to the MacBook itself.
It’s worth mentioning that LaCie gives everyone who purchases the Rugged SSD Pro a one-month complimentary membership to Adobe’s Creative Cloud “All Apps” plan, which is fantastic. Adobe’s subscription model is overpriced, in my opinion, however. I haven’t used my complimentary membership yet, but I’m sure later down the line, I’ll check it out.
I like the fact that LaCie opted for putting the Thunderbolt 3 port at the top of the device versus on the side, because for some reason, I’ve had a habit of accidentally pulling the cables out while sitting at a desk, and that’s certainly not a good thing. On the side of the device, there’s a white power indicator that lets you know when it is connected to the computer and when it’s not, so that helps out a huge deal. The Lacie Rugged SSD is my go-to everyday SSD, and it travels with me in my tech bag everywhere I go. I used it while camped out in the hospital, and I found it to be durable and versatile. It got me through almost a week of horribly-postured typing sessions, including this article.
The Lacie Rugged SSD Pro retails for $401, and it is available from Amazon [affiliate link] and other retailers.
Source: Manufacturer supplied review sample
What I Like: Ultra-portable, and I can use interchangeably with my MacBook and iPad
What Needs Improvement: Thunderbolt 3 cable is a bit too short at 5 inches — Lacie should include a longer cable
  Seagate Backup Plus Portable
When I’m using my standing desk at home, though, I tend to use my Seagate Backup Plus Portable. Available in a variety of sizes in terms of onboard storage, I opted for the 5TB model. I’ve been attempting to set up my very own Plex Server since I’ve been home, and over the past month, it’s been going relatively well. I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with portable hard drives because of their internal spinning, constant overheating, and the eventual death and loss of everything stored on them.
The Seagate Backup Plus Portable comes with a trial for Adobe CC Photography and a one-year Mylio “Create” plan, both of which I completely disregarded but might be of use to someone else. Aside from that, the 5TB hard drive has a smaller footprint than many other hard drives at 4.5″ long by 3.15″ wide by 0.8″ thick.
The Backup Plus Portable works with both macOS and Windows 7 or higher. I almost exclusively use this hard drive to house all of my media, including videos and shows for Plex. The Backup Plus Portable can house up to 500,000 high-resolution photos, which Jess and I will likely do within three years, at the rate we’ve been taking pictures of baby Skylar. If you are storing video media, you can expect it to hold about 165 hours worth. This is great if you’re beginning your cable-cutting journey, or you decide you want to go fully digital and get rid of that collection of DVDs sitting in your basement.
We all know that external hard drives are useful tools for housing all of your files and data, but I’ve been impressed by what I’ve seen out of Seagate and Lacie. Their ability to give you a mobile solution like the Rugged SSD or allow you to hoard all of your photos, playlists, and documents on the Backup Plus is truly remarkable considering their prices are modest these days, especially compared to cloud services. Instead of paying the reoccurring monthly or yearly fees on these services, either of these backup solutions would be a great choice.
The 5TB Seagate Backup Plus Portable retails for $104.99, and it is available from Amazon [affiliate link] and other retailers.
Source: Manufacturer supplied review sample
What I Like: 5TB is an insane amount of storage for the price; Small footprint, can easily slide into a back pocket or backpack
What Needs Improvement: Nothing
