#I meant to answer this then I forgotđbut hey I have something good to answer it with now!!
Ngl after seeing the hookup house episode and reading this I have to see more jessi and Y/N interaction about what happened and more jessi reaction to her sister dating her very older crush like đđ
I love writing Y/n and Jessi interactions so much đâ hereâs just a little something of them talking about what happened with Juddâs shirt lol
Tags: fem! Reader, actually no smut this time wow đ¤Š, sibling rivalry, sorta, ig?, their argument is kinda unresolved, swear words, kaitlyn is nice, she gives sorta good advice, Iâm a kaitlyn stan idc, this is really short thereâs not really that much to say about it
Summary: you confront Jessi about the shirt incident.
Thereâs kinda a part 1 (one) to this one, itâs not totally necessary, but you can read it HERE
Authorâs note: once again I struggled with dialogue,,, idk how you talk to your younger sister lol i have a brother đ§đťtheyâre not like Judd and Nick tho, they actually like each other lmfao
A heart to heart about Jessiâs sisterâs boyfriend
Word count; 1,7K
âHey sweet-pea, Jessi-bear, I hope you two are hungry becauseââ
Jessi stormed right past your dad, barely granting him a glance as she darted straight down the hallway and into her room. The two of you stood in silence and listened as she slammed her door.
Your mouth tightened into a long, thin line and you closed the front door behind youâ settling your overnight and Jessiâs backpack you had been carrying down on the floor.
Your dad raised his eyebrows. âWhat.. uh, whatâs that about?â
Kissing your teeth, you answered; âI donât even know anymore, dad. I think sheâs mad at me for having a boyfriend,â â and also extremely embarrassed because you caught her stealing one of Juddâs shirts. But you kept that to yourself.
He blinked, you watched him reach a conclusion. âThat sucks, sweetheart.â He measly answeredâ your eyebrows drew together and you clenched your teeth. You did love your dad, but he was distinctly awful at saying the right thing.
âThat sucks? THAT SUCKS? Damn right, it sucks, Greg! It sucks worse than your fucking job at Whole Foods,â Connieâs hair puffed up angrily, she held both your shoulders in her hand and glared at your dad from behind you. âGive him hell, honey-bun,â She urged you.
You opened your mouth to retort, a snappy comment ready on your tongue when Kaitlyn beat you to it. âWhat Greg meant to sayââ She started, fixing your dad a pointed look. ââIs thatâs awful, it sucks that you have to deal with that,â
She sent you a small smile, and you knew that was definitely not what your dad meant to say, but you appreciated the sentiment. You smiled back stiffly, leaning on the counter where she was cutting vegetables.
âThanks, Kaitlyn.â You muttered. Connie bristled. âWho the hell do you think you are, cheesegirl? We didnât ask you,â She scoffed, hissing at Kaitlynâ again, you shared her attitude. You were annoyed yourself, quite on edge after the long walk home with an angry Jessi and now dealing with your dad and Kaitlyn.
She stopped cutting vegetables. âHey,â she said, gaining your attention again. You stared at her, apathetically. âI used to have a crush on my older sister's boyfriend. Sheâll get over it, and if you feel like it you could talk to her about itâ 12-year-old girls can be crazy, itâs pretty cool youâre still so nice to her,â
Connie blew her nose in her hair. âCheesgirl is actually right? Oh god, we should have listened to her more, she knows just what to say,â The monster sniffled, dramatically clasping a hand over her heart.
You smiled, genuinely this time. âWait, Jessi has a crush on Judd?â Your dad looked at you, bewildered. The soft expression fell from your face and became tired as you looked at him.
âObviously.â To your surprise, both you and Kaitlyn echoed each other.
âHuh. I thought she was scared of him,â Your dadâs eyes narrowed and a thoughtful expression crossed his faceâ he forgot to turn the pot he had on the stove as he recalled the only interaction he had witnessed between Jessi and Judd. The one and only time you had brought him over for dinner.
Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and sent you a look that clearly showed her overbearing of your father, you couldnât help but softly laugh in return.
âOkay. Iâll go talk to her,â you stated, determined.
Kaitlyn cheered you on as you walked down the hall to Jessiâs room, and for the first time you truly appreciated your dads new girlfriend.
-
Chewing on the inside of your cheek, you delivered three sharp knocks to Jessiâs door. She didnât answer.
âHey, Jessi, can I come in?â You got your answer in the form of a muffled sound from the other side.
You opened the door slowly, peaking inside to see Jessi curled up on her bedâ on her stomach with her face pressed into the pillows.
Her back was shaking lightly, and thatâs when you realised the muffled sound was her crying. âAw, Jessi-bear,â you cooed, stepping fully into the room and closing the door.
Sitting down on the bed, you gently reached out and touched your sisters backâ she stiffened, clearly trying to hold back her sniffles.
âGo away.â She mumbled, barely audible as the pillows swallowed most of her sounds.
You sighed deeply, exhaling through your nose. Ideally, you didnât want to deal with Jessi and her outbreak of jealousyâ but, unfortunately, you cared enough about your sister to push your own annoyance aside.
âJessi, you canât be mad at me. Thatâs not fair,â you tried, removing your hand from her.
She suddenly sat up, whipping around to scowl at you. âAre you trying to act like the victim? You embarrassed the shit out of me, in front of Judd!â
You bristled, mouth turning downwards in a frownâ it took your utmost patience to not counter Jessi with an insult. Connie shifted her weight nervously from foot to foot, cowering behind Jessiâs bedpost to hide from the incoming argument.
âListen, I have to be real with youâ and itâs gonna sound harsh as shit, but Judd is not going to date you. Ever. Heâs 18 and youâre literally 12, even if we break up, itâs not gonna happen.â You deadpanned.
You watched Jessiâs eyes refill with tears, she quickly, angrily dried them off with her sleeve. âI donât care! I donât even wanna date your boyfriend, oh my god,â She screeched.
You fixed her a look. âIf you didnât wanna date him, why are you mad at me?â It was a statement more than a question.
Jessi looked away from you. âBecause you donât even care about anything other than Judd, youâre so selfish,â she scoffed.
âOuch.â You muttered. âIâm so selfish I took the time to walk you home and talk to you because I thought you were upset,â
Your sister seethed. âYou are! Youâre such a slut tooââ
ââ Okay, Jessi, donât fucking slut-shame me. I get that youâre jealous, or whatever but youâre acting like a little prick. Iâm trying so hard to be patient with you. What more do you want?â You were a bit desperate nowâ and exceedingly pissed off.
âI want you to stop embarrassing me! And I wantâ I want you to actually act like my sister!â She cried, fists angrily colliding with the mattress. You stood up, sneering at your sister.
âThis is me acting like your sister! Iâm gonna sister the fuck out of you until you die, and it will get so much worse!â You ran a hand through your hair, viciously tugging at the strands. âYou think I donât care about you? Iâm talking to you because I care, Iâm trying to help you, Jessi,â
Pacing back and forth across Jessiâs bedroom floor, her eyes followed you, vexed. âIf you want to help, leave me alone! All you do is humiliate me.â She had seemed to calm down a littleâ voice lower but way more resentful.
You clicked your tongue, stopping your pacing to glare down at her. âYouâre doing a great job of that yourself, idiot.â
âIfâif you hadnât been thereââ
ââ what? If I hadnât been there youâd have talked to my boyfriend and shown him the shirtâ which is fucking creepy for you to have, by the wayâ and heâd automatically fall in love with you?â
Jessi looked away, an angry flush woven into her skin. âNo. I donât know.â She muttered.
âYeah, no.â You hissed. âI love you and all, but youâre a fucking pain. I guess I canât help you, unless you actually want my helpâ so Iâll leave you be, but itâs seriously a bummer that you have to act like this.â
You turned to the door, shoulders tense and body rigid with anger, but to your disbelief Jessi called out to you; âY/n, waitâ donât leave,â
Your brows rose. âWhat. Change your mind now?â You snapped.
âYeah, I guess. Donât leave.â She repeated, and you turned back to her with a defeated look.
Sighing, you replied; âAlright, Jessi. If thatâs what you want,â
She scooted away a little, making more space for you on the bedâ you picked up on the indication and sat down. She tucked her legs to her chest, resting her head on her knees and looking at you a bit abashed.
âIâm sorry I called you a slutâ you arenât. And it wasnât very feminist of me,â Jessi muttered.
An airy chuckle escaped you. âRight. Iâm sorry too. If you feel like Iâve been spending too much time with Judd, I probably have. I didnât mean to neglect you, Jessi-bear.â
She wrinkled her nose. âDonât call me that in front of Judd, ever again. Please.â She grumbled.
âAlright.â You chuckled, eyes caught on a particular spot on the wallâ making it appear as if you were staring off into space. âI wonât if you stop stealing his shirts, klepto.â You teased, good naturedly.
Suddenly she untangled herself from her position and sat up on her knees to face you directly. âOh my god. Please, please, donât tell anyone about that! Y/n, please!â
You turned to watch her beg. âWash my dishes for a month and we have a deal.â
She frowned. âOkay. But you really canât tell anyone, okay? And tell Judd not to tell anyone either,â
âYou think Judd would listen to me?â You asked, shrugging.
Jessiâs body sacked slightly. âJust try, pleaseeee, Y/n.â
You reached out an arm, caging her in and pulling her into you. She fell from her position on her knees, tumbling into your side where you squeezed her slightly.
âOnly because I love you so much, you little shit.â You grumbled, landing a hand on her head and purposefully rubbing it in to mess up her hair.
She protested, pushing you away and complaining loudly as she fixed her hair. Connie came out from her hiding spot, engulfing the two of you in her hair and hugging you close. Jessi leaned her head on your shoulder.
âIâm actually kinda glad youâre my sister, Y/n,â she answered quietly.
You rolled your eyes at her inability to be sincere. âI know, Jessi-bear.â
Please feel free to request more Judd stuff! I love all the headcannons and ideas yâall send me <3

Sorry i got so excited to ask questions i forgot to specify but maybe a drabble for 3, 6 and 19. And a drawing for 18. But if you feel specifically inspirred to do something different im not complaining. Love these goobers so any kind of romaunce content is a win for međ
Hey-hey, Edd! đ Tysm for the ask, I'll cover all the numbers, I promise! â¨đ⨠These are very interesting topics for me, so count it as part 1/?. :3 I'll tag your main and your new @acesandocs acc so you won't miss it. <3
I hope you meant numbers from that list, but if you meant the other - DM me, please.
I'll start with the number 19, "Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?"
And I came up with two ideas, so I post the two-parts answer in a row. Because I headcanon that it's Freckle who was the first one to suspect his cousin develops feelings for a certain Italian waitress, but technically the one who got the confirmed information about Rocky's and Mau's relationship would've been Augusto. So I did both.
First story will be from the Freckle's side. I once started to do a comic from it, but gave it up. So now behold this ancient scenario in a ficlet. :D
The Right Moment
âAnd what a pizza they have!â
âPizza?â
âYeah, sugary pizza!â
âIs this... thing really worth it?â Calvin sighed, deciding not to clarify what that ridiculous phrase meant.
âOh, true ambrosia. You'll be flabbergasted!â Rocky exclaimed, keeping up his pace. Calvin felt that he had been trying to catch up with his cousin through the streets of St. Louis for about an hour, and he feared that he was going to spend just as long on the heat as he already had, but fortunately Rocky finally turned around the corner and confidently swung open the blue door of the little eatery. Calvin followed him inside and found Rocky waiting at the counter, but finding no one at it, he sat down at the table that was nearest to the entrance, placed his fedora against the wall, and drummed his fingers impatiently on the countertop. Calvin sat down across the table and studied the details of the unassuming establishment. Since when had Rocky developed such a fondness for Italian cuisineâŚ?
âWhy, if it isn't Mister Rickaby himself!â A lively woman's voice with a quavering ârâ sounded over Calvin's ear.
âMiss Maura,â Rocky grinned. âHow else could it be? Your cozy place is an oasis that shelters travelers from the scorching sun. I've even rescued one suffering man along the way. Working for the good of your enterprise, so to speak. Meet my cousin, Freckle.â
âFreckle?â
âCalvin. McMurray,â he habitually corrected Rocky, and finally turned around, meeting his gaze with the tall, young Italian woman. Calvin stared at her face and lean figure, but by the time he realized he was doing it for too long, thankfully, she was already looking at Rocky.
âWe'll have two glasses of lemonade, please, your incomparable sugary pizzaâŚâ
âAnd a sandwich, please. Any kind. Not sweet,â Calvin added hastily.
âNot sweet? Are you sure he's your cousin, Rocky?â
âOh, yeah, he is. He just doesn't realize what he's missing,â he waved it away. âYou know for yourself that pizza's an undoughbtfully subtle thing.â
Mau laughed out loud.
âOh, come on. I'm the one who knows batter that itâs just your oven self that works on a different fuel.â
âHey!â Rocky chuckled with feigned indignation, but Maura was already heading past the tables toward the kitchen. Calvin stayed silent as he watched Rocky's eyes on the girl. He didn't say a word when Rocky again engaged the waitress in banter when she returned with the order. He preferred not to evaluate the flavor of the monstrous slice that was aptly called âsugary pizzaâ, but the sandwich and lemonade were very good indeed. Calvin kept his mouth shut even when Rocky, leaning against the counter, took a few good minutes to say goodbye to Mau. Only on their way back to the Little Daisy CafĂŠ he surrendered to his curiosity.
âSo⌠about that âsugary pizzaâ.â
âWhat, do you regret not trying it after all? I knew it! I knew you'd bite your head off. Well, I'll ask Miss Maura make more next time.â
âNext time, yeah. How long have you been visiting this place?â
Rocky pondered.
âA month? Or about two⌠something like that.â
âOnly for sugary pizza?â
âNo, why, they have good coffee, lemonade, andâŚâ Rocky began to list without a backward thought, but then suddenly frowned. âWait, what are you implying?â
âNothing,â Calvin looked away and smiled involuntarily. Rocky squinted.
âDonât tap dance with me, sneaky gingerbread. I can see right through you.â
âWell⌠uh. Neither of us are blind. Miss Maura probably⌠it seems she likes you.â
Shaking his head, Rocky ran a hand through his hair in relief.
âOh, Freckle. You don't understand anything. Miss Maura⌠she's always like that. With everyone. Gives away words like hot cakes. Mine may be puncakes, but they arenât served with any âadditional syrupâ.â
Calvin stared at the passing cars for a while, thinking if he should try to change his cousin's mind. But suddenly Rocky cautiously asked:
ââŚyou really think?â
Calvin shrugged. Was he sure of what he was talking about? It was hard to tell. But what he'd seen in the eatery certainly⌠brought up some thoughts.
âWhy don't you ask her out, since you two have been in touch for so long?â
âIt's not that simple, Freckle,â Rocky sighed and gestured vigorously. âYou have to be thorough, have to pick the right moment. Besides, have you seen her grumpy old man? A glancekiller. It's like rescuing a princess from a dragon's lair. And you're suggesting I just walk up and sayâŚâ he stopped in the middle of the street in a deep bow with his hands widely outstretched to the sides, ââŚdo me a favor, my fair maid, go with me on a promenade!â
Suddenly Rocky felt how something was lowered on his left hand. He turned his head in puzzlement and found his own fedora hanging there. But it wasn't that that surprised him, it was⌠Maura. She was looking at him and Freckle with amusement, and Rocky had no idea where to get away from that look. And he wanted to get away. Wanted it desperately. Preferably somewhere under the ground. But before he could say anything, Mau nonchalantly stated:
âWell, if you promise to be a faithful knight, toss a pebble into my window at night.â
Calvin, who was watching all this, began to quietly laugh. Maura waved to him with a mockingly innocent smile.
âGoodbye, Mister McMurray, it was nice to meet you,â and, without waiting for Rocky's reply, she headed back toward the eatery.
Calvin's laughter grew louder the longer he stared at Rocky's confused face. It was simply impossible to hold back. Calvin felt like he was choking, but he didn't stop chuckling even when Rocky elbowed him in the side and exclaimed:
âStop cackling, you!â
Rocky took a deep breath, covered his face with the fedora and let out a muffled yell. As Calvin continued to laugh, he patted his cousin on the back a few times, either sympathetically or encouragingly; it was also hard to tell.
Though one thing was definitely undoubtful: now Calvin had not a single regret about that visit to Italian eatery. At all.

darlin
12:46pm
darlinâs phone buzzed underneath on the bedside table, they ignored it because based on the buzz pattern, it was ash.
they were grateful he texted the most out of the pack; which meant that they could ignore him.
they could ignore himâŚuntil their phone was damn near buzzing off the table.
*5 new messages from KetchumđâĄď¸*
Heyyyy
Darlinâ
Plz answer mee
I know you have your phone
And I know you didnât have plans today
they caved.
Yes, Asher Talbot, what could you possibly want this early
early? that means you must have had a nice night. i knew it!
a cackle ensued after he had practically yelled at his phone
What the fuck are you on about?
Milo and I were talking
David said he wasnât because he didnât want to âinfringe upon the privacyâ of you
blah blah blah
heâs so boring
asher could not
1. talk about one subject without going on tangents with unnecessary details
2. just send one long text like a normal person
Anyway, when you left the club
I said it was because you were getting freeeekayyy đźđź
ash and his mate were the only ones who understood his texting humorâŚor any of his humor really
Milo said you werenât, it was just to get space. Itâs obvious whoâs your best friend, the one who knows you the best (pssst itâs me)
Can you tell me there was a reason for texting me other than this delightful conversation in which you tell me how youâre betting over what my mate and i are doing
Ohhh yeah
wanna come over? maybe even play minecraft
We both know i donât play minecraft.
well can you still come over? pretty pleeeeeasee
babe had to go back to work and iâm bored
đŞđ˘đŠđđ
Oh my god. fine
they pulled up to his house
after playing for a good hour, the club was brought up
I miss going partying, college used to be so fun, plus i forgot how great of a dancer you are
Oh please. I mean, I wasnât allowed to go out when i was with Quinn so this was a dramatic shift.
Even Sam got into it! I thought he wasnât a dancer. âI donât feel like stumbling all over like a hog straight out of the muckâ or whatever he said when we were walking in
he did the godawful southern (if you could even call it that) accent that he just loved showing off
Darlin slapped him while they both chuckled
I personally think he was focused on a different kind of dancing but thatâs just m-
ASHER.
HEY LOOK! iâm just saying if you donât want me to bring up how you were basically fucking on the dance floor until you âinconspicuouslyâ leaveâŚmaybe donât do it i donât knowww
the text to david âweâre leaving, nothings wrongâ is a bit vague but come on
why are you reading the texts he receives?
he asked me to read it while he danced, or maybe i was looking over his shoulder wondering if i could get an answer because i saw you two walking out- the world may never know
a few more whacks were laid upon asherâs arm
iâll give it to you, you save a lot of horses considering you ride that cowboy all the time, starting to think itâs just becoming a tradition between the three of us, you practically jumping on sam while iâm an unknowing bystander except this time it was the rest of the club too
and thank you
itâs not good, but itâs alright and iâll probably make something else once iâm not tired

AYO đ I'm bored, so here be me, offering 1: a funny rant for entertainment, and 2: an opinion for reflection (primarily mine).
Rant: did you know that jegulus shippers hc that Snape bullied Regulus with the other "bad" slytherins? And even acted predatory?? Legit read a scene where Mulciber manhandled Regulus and Snape watched cool and composed as you please and chided him for "playing with his food", then he himself slammed Regulus against a wall, got up in his face and threatened him. đ𤥠Meanwhile Sneep and Regulus were probs CEO and COO respectively of the Sirius Black Haters Club. Even indifference from Regulus' part would be more likely than someone like him with an important and infamous family getting bullied by his own housemates, let alone by Snape who was at the bottom of the social ladder. Cringe. đŹ
Opinion, a little more weighted. Though the blatant racism in Rowling's writing and characterizations of certain characters is undeniable, I've personally come across a few sjws who imo see it even where it's not. But there are instances where I'm not sure. Like with Shacklebolt, I always thought that the name was about him putting criminals in shackles, being good at his job, not an allusion to slavery. But I'm white and don't know whether black people actually consider it a good point, and just bc something is said or seen w/o bad intention doesn't mean there aren't implicit racist connotations going unnoticed. It's been going around in my head for a while. I summon your illustrious spouse @halfblood-princes-crown who iirc is poc (also realised I'm not following him which, great oversight), and anyone else who'd like to contribute their thoughts.
Hey sweetie! Sorry for the late-ish answer đ I completely forgot this was in my drafts
did you know that jegulus shippers hc that Snape bullied Regulus with the other "bad" slytherins? And even acted predatory??
YES OMG, I canât even explain how stupid it is. Like these mfs really think some poor greasy bullied half-blood Slytherin could even bully a Black (whoâs the opposite of everything I mentioned, aside from Slytherin) đ plus they both hated Sirius and would legit kill for the people they love so I have a petty headcanon that theyâre besties and Sirius HATED it. You just know Reggie would be there when James and Sirius try to target Snape, and when James gets roasted and Sirius tries to join in Reggie would be like âand why are you talking? Donât you *spills an embarrassing sibling-secret Sirius still does from when they were kids*?â and theyâd stand there like đŹ) đ¤ Tbh Marauder stans would go to such drastic lengths just so they make it seem like the Marauders bullying Snape was as mild as possible lmao.
But there are instances where I'm not sure. Like with Shacklebolt, I always thought that the name was about him putting criminals in shackles, being good at his job,
I totally understand that! It could be argued that thatâs what it meant, because it really is a reasonable perspectiveâŚâŚ. that is, if Kingsley wasnât part of the 4% POC characters in the series. Why would she give one of her only black characters a last name thatâs meaning was an item used to chain slaves? It was apparently absolutely impossible for her to name any other white auror (basically every other auror) that was good at their job that name?
Along with all that, sheâs named the only other Asian character (aside from the Patil twins) Cho Chang, both of which are last names. And itâs clear Rowlingâs one of those authors who really put thought into their charactersâ names, for example: Severus Snape (his first name directly translates to âsternâ or âharshâ), Voldemort (mort means âdeath,â and when translating each section of the name in French, âvol de mortâ it means âflight from deathâ), Remus Lupin (âŚwolf wolf đ), Dolores Umbridge (Latin origins: âlady of sorrows or painâ (psychological or physical), Greek meaning: âdeceitful,â Spanish meaning: âpainâ), Fenrir Greyback (in Norse mythology: Fenrir is a gigantic and terrible monster, Greyback sounds similar to silverback, which is known as the dominant male in a band of gorillas), Fleur Delacour (âflower of the courtâ), and so on. I could literally talk about their name meanings for hours. My fave name meanings are Severusâs, Voldyâs (biggest flex is that I already knew this bc itâs French đ¤), Remusâs (đ I already knew âLupinââs meaning because of the wolf (lupus) in mythology), Umbitchâs, and Fleurâs. Tbf Fleurâs full name is so stereotypically French but French names are almost as stunning as she is so I give it a pass.
Anyway, Rowling definitely isnât one of those authors who give their characters a name they think âjust fits themâ and goes on with it, almost all of the charactersâ names say something about their personalities to an extent. And sheâs already a racist and proved it through making an Asian characterâs full name consist of one Korean last name (Cho) and one Chinese last name (Chang). So the fact that she named one of her only black characters THAT name definitely must not have anyyy underlying intentions.
I may be a POC but Iâm not black, so Iâm sure my opinion wonât hold as much water as a black personâs. Iâd be interested to hear what yâall think! @halfblood-princes-crown weâre summoning you babe, I wanna hear what you think.
And thanks for the ask btw, you can yell into my inbox whenever you feel like it â¤ď¸

âââ
The group consisting of both children and their future âparentsâ walked towards the Captains meeting room. After the Witch Queen made her surprising appearance she requested that the entire group come to the Castle for a little âchatâ. Vanessa hadnât been pleased about her motherâs appearance at all, she knew that meant something was going on or that there was someone in this group she was interested in. But Vanessa kept all of this to herself, although she got the feeling everyone else was feeling the same way.
â So uh, since when does the Witch Queen leave the Forest of Witches?â Finral asked no one in particular, Vanessa looked over at him.
â Rarely. If ever. I donât think I can recall a time she left the Forest.â Vanessa muttered as she racked her brain to try and find a memory but came up empty handed.
â Hey Vanessa,â Yami called as he looked over his shoulder at Vanessa and Finral who walked behind him. Vanessa blinked as she was pulled out of her thoughts. â You good?â
â Yeah, Iâll be fine, Captain.â She told him as she nodded firmly, Yami raised a curious brow slightly before shrugging to himself and facing forward again.
Yami stared at Alistarâs back as the young man walked in front of him, ever since the Witch Queen had appeared the white haired man had become extremely tense and appeared to be even nervous. Although none of these things appeared on his face, it was all in his Ki.
â Something on your mind Yami?â William asked as he came to stand next to the Black Bulls Captain, Yami scoffed.
â Not really, your kidâs just acting weird. Which isnât surprising since, yâknow, heâs your kid and all.â Yami muttered as he watched Hikari walk next to Alistar.
â Alistar hasnât been acting weird, at least not to me.â William said thoughtfully before he looked at Yami out of the corner of his eye. â By weird do you mean by itâs proper definition, or do you mean weird like suspicious?â He asked curiously. Yami grunted before rubbing the back of his head as he really didnât want to answer that, it seemed like both Charlotte and William saw right through him.
â Iâll take your silence as confirmation of the suspicious definition.â William said before he and Yami walked next to each other silently. Meanwhile, in front of them, both their âchildrenâ were having a conversation of their own.
â Heâs getting suspicious of you yâknow.â Hikari muttered softly as she glanced behind her at her âfatherâ, she heard Alistar inhale sharply.
â Iâve noticed, Iâm trying to hide my Ki like you taught me too, but I see it isnât working.â Alistar muttered back as he also glanced over his shoulder. He noticed the cold glare Captain Yami was sending his way and quickly turned back around causing Hikari to giggle.
â Well of course it isnât. The only oneâs it would work on would be those who are either just starting to learn Ki like Brielle or those that arenât very good at it. When you try to use it against me or my dad itâs going to fail.â Hikari explained with a shrug, Alistarâs eyes narrowed sharply.
â Then why did you even bother teaching me how to use it?â He asked, slightly irritated. Hikari sighed softly before giving a half shrug.
â Because I just wanted to spend time with you.â She explained simply. The white haired man blushed before looking away and rubbing his neck in embarrassment, of course she wanted to just spend time with him. They had known each other since they were children and spent most of their time together, but now that they were older and in different squads they didnât get to see or spend as much time together.
â By the way,â Hikari started, suddenly changing the subject. â What did you and Miku talk about the other day?â She asked curiously and was surprised when he stiffened and just looked at her, his expression completely unreadable.
Instead of answering he looked away and began to walk a bit faster. Hikari frowned slightly as she watched him, that was an odd reaction, she glanced over her shoulder and looked at the small girl. She lookedâŚtired. Before Hikari could ponder on it more, she suddenly turned to look as she heard Ezio groan.
â Hey what was that for Joss?â The pink haired boy asked as he gently rubbed his side where Josslyn had elbowed him sharply. He had thrown his arm around her shoulders and began to flirt with her and she had enough of it.
â Youâre being clingy and annoying. Stop it. Get some help.â She told him with a huff, Ezio chuckled.
â Aw you know you would miss my flirting if I stopped Joss.â He teased light heartedly, the pink haired girl looked at him with a raised brow and cold eyes.
â Would I though?â She asked with a mocking frown and in a slightly teasing voice, although sometimes her teasing voice sounded more like her normal one. Ezio clutched his chest as though she had just stabbed him.
â Ow, that hurt.â He mumbled before falling back a few steps.
â He is annoying, just like his parents.â Nebra muttered coldly as she shook her head, Josslyn glared icily at her âmotherâ.
â Ezio may be annoying, but heâs much less annoying than you.â Josslyn told her coldly before walking away, Nebra just gaped at her before huffing.
â Those two really donât mesh do they?â Zora asked with a sigh and Ace shook his head.
â No they donât, they never have.â Ace said softly as he looked down at the ground, Zora frowned curiously.
â Why not? Are they too much alike?â He asked and watched as the red haired boy shook his head.
â No. They just donât get along.â Ace shrugged, Zora let out another sigh before ruffling the young boyâs hair. Apparently that was all the information he was going to get.
âââ
â Ah, welcome everyone, please take a seat!â Julius Novachrono said as the rag tag group walked into the Captainâs meeting room. At one end sat the Wizard King in his chair with his aide Marx by his side. While at the other end of the table sat the Witch Queen in all her intimidating glory.
â Youâre all late. What a way to make a first impression.â She told them with a small roll of her eyes. Everyone ignored her comment and walked into the room. Charlotte, Yami, and William all sat in their respective seats while Alistar, Hikari, Zora, Nebra, Grey, and Vanessa sat down in the other remaining chairs. The others stood or leaned against the walls.
â What are you doing here?â Vanessa asked sharply as she crossed her arms, the Witch Queen just smiled slightly before turning to Julius.
â I came here because I felt multiple disturbances in the universe. I had planned to come sooner but I thought it would be best if I waited until the disturbances ceased.â She explained simply. â I will admit, when I felt those disturbances, I wasnât expecting it to be a bunch of children.â She added as she looked around the room at the âfamiliesâ.
â You felt them too, didnât you, Wizard King?â The Witch Queen said as her eyes landed back on Julius, a smirk playing on her lips. Julius steepled his hands in front of him before nodding.
â Yes I did.â He confirmed with a nod. Everyone in the room looked at him with wide and slightly surprised eyes, they really shouldnât be surprised seeing as this was the Wizard King they were talking about, but it still came as a bit of a shock.
â I felt the first disturbance about a day before Hikari showed up, which is why I had gotten the house set up. Just in case the disturbance was dangerous and I would have to assemble a team of Captains and Magic Knights again.â Julius explained simply. â Thatâs also the reason why I was in the basement when Hikari showed up. I was looking to see if there may have been any documents or records of this disturbance happening before, but of course I came up empty handed.â He added with a sigh.
â Umm, I-I have a question,â Finral stammered as all eyes suddenly turned to look at him. â Can you explain the disturbance a bit more?â
â Hm, the best way to describe it would be like dropping a stone into a lake. When you first drop the stone it creates a ripple, the closer the ripple is to the rock the stronger it is. So the children in this case would be the stone while the Witch Queen and I, as well as the universe, are the ripples. If I were to guess; the closer the ripple, the closer to the stoneâs original time you are.â Julius explained with a sheepish laugh. â This is all just speculation, especially since we donât know what era these kids are from.â He added.
â So what youâre saying is that the children arenât too far into the past?â William asked as he leaned forward a bit, Julius nodded in agreement.
â Exactly. If I were to guess, I would say the children are at least between 10-20 years in the past.â Julius said as he pondered for a moment.
â My, for a mage whoâs magic is Time Magic youâre sure making a lot of guesses and assumptions about all of this.â The Witch Queen almost mocked as she leaned her head onto her hand. Julius smiled as he turned his attention back to her.
â And for a Witch Queen who can see into the future, this certainly caught you by surprise.â Julius chuckled a bit and watched as the Witch Queen glare harshly at him.
â The future isnât set in stone, you of all people should know this, Wizard King.â She spat Juliusâs title at him, but he kept his calm smile on his face, even though his eyes held a seriousness in them.
The meeting room became silent for a bit, the air was tense and uncomfortable. No one knew exactly what to do or say next as the Witch Queen and the Wizard King seemed to be having a silent battle of wits as they stared at each other. Finally the Witch Queen looked around at the children again.
â Since your Wizard King wonât ask you, I will.â Her eyes landed on every single child in the room although they lingered a bit longer on Ezio before continuing to the others. â Why are all of you here? What is your purpose?â
Alistar swallowed the sudden lump in his throat, this was it, it was finally time to tell everyone. He looked up at Hikari and their eyes met, he couldnât stop the small smile from forming on his lips. They had always been able to know what the other was thinking just by looking in each other's eyes, it was quite funny.
These exchanging looks didnât go unnoticed by Yami and he glared and opened his mouth to say something when he suddenly felt someone swiftly kick the side of his leg. He turned and noticed Charlotte giving him a look and a small smile, she was telling him to be a good Captain and sit there quietly. He grumbled under his breath but obliged her.
â I can answer that,â Alistar announced as he looked at the others in the room. He took one more look at Hikari and when she smiled and gave him a small nod he felt his heart sink into his stomach, he hoped telling them everything would alleviate the weight on his shoulders, but instead it made it worse.
â A week and a half ago, we lost all contact with the Spade Kingdom. No matter how hard we tried to reach them we received nothing in return, so we sent a couple of scouts to survey and tell us what was going on. Well, we only received one report back before we lost contact with our scouts.â Alistar let out a sigh as he glanced over at the Adlai family, a sad smile slightly forming on his lips.
â The intel our scouts were able to report to us were, to say the least, disturbing. They reported that the entire Spade Kingdom had been wiped out, and if their report is to be believed, it was completely eradicated in one night.â Alistar continued as he looked around the room, he could see the visible surprise on everyone's faces. The children, the parents, everyone in the room just looked at him.
â So, youâre here to investigate why the kingdom just disappeared?â The Witch Queen asked curiously, Alistar shook his head.
â Not exactly-.â He started before Charlotte cut him off with a question of her own.
â Are you sure these scouts' intel is accurate and not a mistake?â Charlotte asked as she leaned forward a bit, Alistar nodded.
â Yes. I would trust those scouts with my life.â He confirmed firmly, Charlotte nodded before allowing him to continue.
â How,â Asta started with a slightly confused look on his face. â How can an entire kingdom and its citizens just completely disappear overnight? And where did they all go?â
â They didnât just âdisappearâ Asta, they were all killed.â Alistar said seriously as he looked at the ash-blonde haired boy. The air in the entire room became heavy once more at his words.
â Who could have done something as huge as that? Especially with Yuno being the king?â Neva asked with a curious frown, Alistar gave her a small smile.
â Well our scouts didnât get that far before we lost contact, but luckily for me we have the only known survivor of the Spade Kingdom in this room with us.â Alistar looked behind Neva and Yuno and stared straight at Miku, the 12 year old girl slightly hid behind her father as all eyes looked at her.
â I told you,â the girl started softly. â I donât remember what happened that night.â She added as she clutched onto her fatherâs talisman tightly in her hand.
â And I believe you. But,â Alistar started with a kind smile. â Marx here can go through a person's memories, even buried ones, and show us so that way we know exactly what happened to your kingdom.â He added as he watched the girl think.
â Youâd really be helping us out, Miku.â Alistar continued but Hikari cut him a look.
â Alistar, donât pressure her.â She warned and Alistar nodded, a bit ashamed of himself, he wanted to know what exactly happened to his friends and who, or what, was responsible and he wasnât even taking what Miku wanted into consideration.
â It, Itâll really help you if I agree to this?â Miku asked softly, the white haired man nodded. After another minute of thinking the girl nodded.
â Ok. Iâll do it.â
â Are you sure?â Marx asked as he looked at the girl, she nodded.
â Iâm sure, IâŚI need to know what happened to my family, to my kingdom. You guys need to see it so that way we get a better idea as to whatâs going on right? So, let me help.â The girl told them, her head held a bit higher and a determined look in her eyes. Marx looked at her âparentsâ and then Julius for confirmation, once they all nodded he used his memory magic to go through Mikuâs memories.
