Midnight- Park Jay (001)

Jay was looking at the mirror. He was eyeing himself. After he lost his family his mind seems to work in a whole different way. His mind is blaming himself for the death of his family.

It feels like his mind is trying to manipulate him. In his mind the person with the gun was him who was a little child that didn't know if the gun was real or not. He pulled the trigger to see if that gun was real. Because of him doing that his family died due to him. That's what his mind thinks.

Even though he knows that it is not the truth and his mind is thinking wrong things. Sometimes he wants to kill himself due to the guilt inside him. He tried to drown himself in water many times. But nothing worked.

He is cutting his hand making little cuts. The red blood makes him excited like a kid who is excited to have some candy. There is blood drops dropping from his hand to the ground. He is looking at the ground which is slowly being filled with the blood drops from his hand.

He sighed and took the first aid kit. He opened it and bandaged his cuts so that no more blood drops from it.

Jay went to put the first aid kit back at it's place. After some time he turned on the TV to see the news even though he is not interested. He saw the news about him again.

"Yesterday a dead body has been found in the Hands river. The body was pulled out of water when it was discovered. There was a tattoo of a black rose at the neck of the victim. Who is this person that has been killing people at midnight? What does the black rose mean? Did the victim do something to the killer that made the killer kill the victim? " The person on the news channel kept blabbering.

Jay turned off the TV annoyedly. Then he went to his room to open his treaured box which was full of the album pictures taken with his family when they were alive, some videos and clips of his family, some treasured items of his family.

He took out two lockets from the box. Both of the lockets had a half heart shaped on it. Just by looking at it he could remember his mom.

His mom was buying two lockets which had the half heart design on it.

"Mom why are you buying those lockets? " little Jay asked her as he was curious.

"Dear because the heart is divided into two halves when it is broken. It can mean that someone owns half piece of your heart or you own their half piece of heart. Besides whenever you fall in love with someone give one piece of this locket to that person to let that person to know that you love her" Jay's mom said.

Jay remembered his mother's words just by looking at the locket.

" Mom I don't think that I would have someone that I love truly. After you, dad and Jiyeon left from my life my life has been meaningless. It is like a dead flower without sunlight, water. And who would love a psycho like me? Obviously nobody " Jay said to himself as he chuckled sadly.

There was Chaeyun who was almost sleeping in her maths class. The maths class felt so boring for her. The teacher was blabbering some formulas and how to do the maths while she was almost dying. By the end of the class she knew that she was gonna fail in maths. Luckily the teacher didn't notice her sleeping.

"I don't understand Mathematics no matter how hard I try. To be honest why is Maths so hard? It makes me go through five stages of grief at once" Chaeyun muttered to herself.

Chaeyun looked at the clock seeing that there are two hours left until college hours ends. She has to wait patiently for these two hours to end so that she can finally go home. Her favourite place at college is the college gate because even though it is the place where she enters hell it is also the place where she leaves the hell named college.

After two hours finally it was time to go home. Chaeyun was happily walking to her home until she saw some couples at the nearby park. Those couples were holding hands, hugging, kissing at a public place not caring about what other's think. It made her feel disgusted. She looked away quickly.

"Can't they get a room for themselves? The park is a public place for everyone and here they are doing disgusting couple things. Being single while watching this makes me feel more single. I guess I was born just to be a third wheel" Chaeyun said to herself.

Chaeyun was too busy in her thoughts. She was not watching where she is going causing her to bump into a stranger making both of them almost fall on the ground. Luckily he caught her waist on time.

Jay was walking through the streets as he wanted to outside for a walk. The walk was going peacefully until he had to bump into someone causing both of them to almost fall. He almost cursed at her until he saw her face. Jay caught her waist on time so that she doesn't fall on the ground embarrassing herself.

'She seems familiar' Jay thought to himself.

Chaeyun quickly bowed to him and apologized for bumping into him.

"From next time watch where you are going instead of walking like a blind person on the streets" Jay said to her in a cold tone.

She looked back at him as he ignored her and started to go on his way back. Just by the first meeting she had already started to despise him because of his attitude. Chaeyun gave him a stern gaze as she tried to keep a poker face and rolled her eyes towards him.

wonshik took a sip of his drink, searching for food that would suit his tastebuds. yes, there was more enough good food in front of him but it didn’t stop him from being picky, as always. his eyes finally settled on the canapés; although, frankly speaking, a bowl of cold noodles would trump anything on this table for him right now. he was far from a simple man but he did have simple taste in things. “one meal, and i already miss korean food.” he thought out loud, not realizing there was someone beside him as he bumped into them.

“i’m sorry.” he excused himself for his carelessness, smiling as his eyes met a familiar face. “there’s just so much to choose from, huh?” he hadn’t spoken to the woman properly before but her platinum blonde hair was hard to miss and even harder to forget. “you’re kwon jiyeon, right?”

on JANUARY 18, REO KANGDAE has summoned all the CURRENT PRODUCERS, old and new. in this early in the morning, the meeting with kangdae is still as informal as ever. the man has even brought pastries, coffee, tea and hot chocolate to each preferences. “hey guys, nice to see you.” he says, a friendly smile on his face “we have some new faces with us, so here’s a tl;dr about me; i am the head manager of LGC CREATIVES, i oversee pretty much everything creatively wise within the company. i’ve been spending a lot of times on future dreams and project origin lately” he confides.“anyway, one of my assistant managers is assigned to this team, called the junior producer team. you have your own office as a team, with desks for each one of you. there are a couple of recording studios in the new building, so no worries, you’ll just have to reserve them when you’re ready to work, there shouldn’t be any overlapping issues.” he makes sure that no one has questions before continuing. “you’re going to have to bear with me, because we have a lot more to discuss.”

“some of you have been here for a couple of months now and starting to show promise.” kangdae continues. “however, i did say that this path would support you in future endeavors you’d like to take on. so during the trimester, i’ll be meeting you all one by one to know what you would like to do besides being a producer. be prepared, because i don’t want a vague idea, but a proper plan.”

spoiler alert: i haven’t made up my mind for character #2, and i still need help, so if you’d like to lend me a hand, click the read-more for more information!! ＼(●~▽~●)

sOoOoOoOoOo i’m still really indecisive about who i should bring to the group, so i started working on writing up a rough draft for the two people who won my last poll ( park jinyoung and shin yeeun ) and sadly, i don’t think they were going anywhere i liked. ( ◡△◡✿ ) so here i am again asking for more opinions, but with more information on muse ideas i think would be interesting to play around with and to develop!! i’ll be providing some brief ideas below, then on this poll, you can tell me who you think the dashboard needs the most!!

OPTION 001 // choi bomin, takata mashiho, lee daehwi, or kim yonghee // vocal unit leader / lead vocal of charm, or lead dancer / sub vocal of charm, or vocal of charm.

he would be on the younger side of the spectrum as far as charm’s age range is concerned, but he’d be of the most responsible out of the group, which explains his title as vocal unit leader if that’s the role i can snag!! see, he grew up in a single mother household, and due to her multiple jobs to keep a roof over their heads and groceries in the fridge, she wasn’t around a lot when he was growing up, and to top it off, he has four younger siblings ( a set of twin brothers, another brother, and one sister who’s closest to him in age!! ) that he has to watch out for. if anyone’s seen shameless us, think of him as a fiona gallagher type, but obviously not as intense as she and her family are in the show!! anyway, his childhood was mostly spent cooking meals for them, helping with homework, and cleaning the house—even when he was in elementary school. his mom and pop trusted him with a lot. so now, he’s a bit of a mother hen figure to everyone because that’s how he was raised, but he’s also severely exhausted, and he constantly puts everyone before himself, but that’s actually a fatal flaw for him instead of an act of selflessness. now, if you’re wondering where his love for music comes from, it’s because he learned to play the piano before his parents divorced, and it’s one of the only things that calms him down. in order to get his siblings to sleep, he plays a portable keyboard he bought with his life savings, and sings for them until they pass out. playing music reminds him of simpler times, and music itself, is his first love.

as a preteen, he was scouted by bc entertainment due to his visual charm, but when he auditioned for them, they were quite fond of his voice. it was untrained, but really beautiful to listen to, and they decided to take a chance on him. presently, he’s so dedicated to his work, and to his craft, but he fails to care for himself—often falling sick due to lack of sleep in conjunction with exercise, writing music, and other idol duties. i envision him similar to woozi in that he’d be someone who contributes composition, lyrics, and productions to charm’s albums. he’s very multi-talented, but he’s recently let that swallow him whole, and it’s not good for his health. he works so hard because he still has this idea that he needs to be the sole provider for his family since his mother is even more overworked than before, and his younger sister is now in charge of the siblings, which makes him feel guilty.

personality wise, he’d be a little bit of a soft, sad boy aesthetic come to life. moody, tired, emotional, and sensitive, but in all the right ways, if that makes sense!!

OPTION 002 // kwon nara, park jiyeon, im yoona, or kim seolhyun // vocal of gal.actic, leader / main rapper / lead dancer / vocal of fuse, or lead dancer / vocal of lipstick.

think of a strict visual center type who’s also an actress, model, and master spokeswoman—a girl who’s calculating and who draws in a large crowd; someone that ever woman aspires to be and every man aspires to marry; she’s just that good, sparkly, and golden, you know? she’s a sunbeam on the outside, and her image makes her palatable to all types of people, so she isn’t just a sex symbol meant to capture the male gaze, she’s meant to be a people pleaser by default, and she’s really good at that. however, she’s been in the business for a very long time, and she’s pretty tired of it, but her bank accounts are nice and full due to all of her side gigs. like the muse in option one, she comes from very humble beginnings, but it was more so that her parents were dirt poor after being ostracized by their much wealthier families. see, the two of them were never meant to be together ( think romeo and juliet ) but decided to defy the wishes of their own flesh and blood, and embarked on a journey of their own!! it was hard, and neither of them adjusted well at first, but when they became pregnant, they kind of had to get their shit together really quick. when their daughter was born though, they loved her unconditionally, and raised her to be humble... as well as a bit of a con-artist, but that wasn’t necessary their intent. they needed help with bill and rent payments, amongst other things, and at a young age, she discovered that painting on a face and being a good actress would help them a ton. she was an innocent looking kid, so when she’d swipe the money from cash registers, or steal groceries from the supermarket, no one ever knew it was her. she was a bit of a master thief as a child, but it was all in the name of helping out her household. it was what she could do to contribute.

however, as a teen, she took it up a few notches and started to flirt with rich boys in school to get access to their money, or like, she’d find ways to manipulate people into eating out of the palms of her hands, all in the name of survival. though, when she was scouted by her company, she was able to convince them to sign her as a trainee despite having no talents. she promised them to work hard, and that she did, and even though she didn’t train for a long time before she debuted, she proved to be an asset to her group due to her ability to woo people of all types. her life, in a sense, primed her for fame, and she wants to take advantage of it now that she has all eyes on her. her past also made her into a fantastic actress, and she’s known to give thrilling and believable performances.

personality-wise, she’d be very two-faced, but never intensely malicious. she’d never like, manipulate her friends into bending to her will, or treat her boyfriends with any sort of toxic behavior on purpose, but she’s definitely not the girl on tv that everyone knows and loves in real life. however, the one good deed she does more often than not is volunteer at food banks and homeless shelters to assist those who were once in her position. so she’s not, like, chaotic or true evil per se, but more chaotic neutral more than anything. she’s definitely motivated by success and money, and in the past, has been accused of social climbing to gain further notoriety, but that’s neither her nor there now!!

“she’s not double jointed, so i don’t understand why she hasn’t shown any signs of having a quirk yet.” jiyeon sits at her mother’s side, mouth preoccupied with a lollipop snatched off the nurse’s desk; her eyes wander between her mother, her eyebrows knitted together with worry, and the doctor, hands shuffling through piles and piles of paperwork.

“you don’t have any quirk history documentation with you?” her mother shakes her head, bottom lip caught between her lips in habit.

“no, i’m adopted and–”

“and quirkless?”

jiyeon’s mother nods, dark eyes adverted. “yes … and she hasn’t shown any signs of exhibiting her father’s quirks either.”

the doctor straightens in her seat, hand coming up to pinch the bridge of her nose before wiping all sort of emotion clean off her face. “i’m sorry to say, but you’re just going to have to keep waiting mrs. kim. sadly there’s nothing we can do, especially not with out any sort of documentation from your side of the family.” jiyeon’s mother nods again, shoulder slumped under an invisible weight.

“of course, thank you for your time.”

jiyeon’s father’s mother falls ill the summer of her sixth birthday. she’s all but a stranger to jiyeon, only seen in passing at family reunions and once a year on their christmas photocards. they visit because jiyeon’s father is worried, they bring jiyeon along in some effort to show solidarity.

“what’s that?” jiyeon looks up at her father as he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, words seemingly stuck on the tip of his tongue.

“uuuuh, it’s like–”

“it’s to show support.” her mother quickly interjects, just as the elevator doors open. they take jiyeon’s hand in theirs, take a right and then another right, before finding her grandmother’s room.

jiyeon does not like her grandmother; doesn’t like the way she looks down her nose at both her and her mother, doesn’t like her air of superiority, doesn’t like the her too tight grip. but she smiles as she greets her, tiny arms wrapping around her imposing figure.

“i want you to sit with me, jiyeon.” she looks at her mother, at a loss for what to do. her mother only nods, leaving her to fend for herself.

“okay, grandma.”

“no, yeah–it really is a miracle. well, i mean, not to use that word lightly, but her health had just been steadily deteriorating … yes, she’s still at the hospital, she’s ready for surgery. she’s in better shape now, so it’s not as much of a risk.”

there’s a cloud of fatigue that follows jiyeon around for the remainder of the week, an exhaustion she could not rid herself of no matter how much she rested. jiyeon supposes she’s glad her grandmother was better.

“how are you feeling, mom?” her father sits on the edge of his seat, both hands clasped around one of his mother’s. jiyeon frowns from where she sits in the far corner, attempting to not meet eyes with her grandmother.

“i’m better now sweetheart. jiyeon, sweetie, why don’t you come sit with grandma?” jiyeon does as she’s told, curls up at her grandmother’s side and simply sits.

“jiyeon, jiyeon! where’s mom?” jiyeon is dazed, slightly confused; six year old hands curled the edge of her comforter.

“i don’t know.” her father is ecstatic, lips curled into a face-splitting grin. he doesn’t know what to do with himself, too much wound up energy simmering beneth his skin.

“this is great, this is amazing! gosh, jiyeon!” he picks her up from where she sits, twirls her little body around in the air. “amazing, amazing, you’re absolutely amazing!”

her mother rounds the corner just then, wiping her hands off on the apron tied around her waist. “what’s the fuss?”

“jiyeon, it’s jiyeon! my mom figured out what her quirk is!” her father holds her mother by the shoulders, she can see that the urge to shake her back and forth is there. her mother doesn’t waste any time, tries to get her father to sit down before saying anything else.

“well, what is it. on with it!”

“she’s a healer, she heals!”

her grandmother dies not too long after that, old age and all. jiyeon is sad, out of obligation more than anything else. her father’s devastated, understandably so. but there’s a nasty curl to his frown, an almost hatred simmering beneth his skin. are you sure there wasn’t anything you could do, jiyeon?

no, dad.

he never does stop faulting her, grows more and more distant until he’s just far enough to leave. it’s a note tacked onto leftovers left on the kitchen table. he doesn’t even have the gall to pretend to be sorry. her mother smooths down her hair, kisses her temple. “i love you, jiyeon.”

i love you, mom

“you don’t have to go, not everyone has to be a hero.” her mother sits on the edge of her bed, watching jiyeon carefully.

“i don’t want to be a hero, i just want to help people.” there is a stiffness to her words, a sense of well rehearsed lines and insincere dialogue. “besides, what more do heroes do besides running around in funny costumes?”

her mother laughs, a quiet slip of a thing, pink lips curl into a smile. “just don’t do anything you don’t feel is right.”

“never, mom.”

girl that is invariably good, definition of loud and proud; jiyeon knows that if she cannot find a path that she likes, she will go out of her way to make one. she is sweetness with a spine, a stubborn girl with even more stubborn morals. once she sets her mind on something, there is no chance she will be deterred.

and what’s the point of lying, anyway? why bother with the sensitivities of others? is being honest not inherently good?

there is a childishness that still plagues her, though, an urge to resist the natural course of time. i don’t want to grow up, i don’t want to be old. i want you to take care of me forever, mom. she’s so scared, girl that hides behind her loud mouth and equally loud actions. what are you afraid of?

i don’t know.

* ◜ POWER IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT !!

her ability allows for the manipulation of the healing process, specifically permitting her only to speed up the process. with her ability, she can repair any sort of bodily wounds such as, but not limited to, broken bones, open cuts, and burns. she is also capable of relieving minor bodily conditions such as fatigue, bodily infections and minor aches. her ability consists more of accelerating the healing of wounds that body would come to heal by itself rather than manipulating the body to do things it normally wouldn’t.

—the organism must, first and foremost, be alive in order for her to use her ability, otherwise they would require resurrection and not healing. —as the theory of conservation of energy dictates that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, in order for her to heal another organism there must a transfer of energy. how serious the injury is dictates how much energy she must spend in order to repair it. should she attempt to heal a wound that costs more energy than she can give, she may very well end up in a coma or dead. —she is incapable of curing illnesses and diseases; she can bring the body to optimal health, but it will simply continue to deteriorate. —incapable of regenerating limbs, she can simply close the woulds that are a result of such injury. —the ability requires direct skin contact. —currently she is only able to heal one person at a time, however, she can heal as many people as her energy levels allow her to. —her ability is always “turned on” making any sort of repeated direct skin contact incredibly fatiguing. —she is not able to use her ability on herself.

* ◜ NEVER FORGET WHO YOU WANT TO BECOME !!

jiyeon likes to keep things simple, her costume consists of a stereotypical nurse’s dress, button down and all, that comes down to mid-thigh. her sleeves are shorter than what she normally wears, coming down to just above her elbow, and around her right bicep she wears a red armband with the initials ‘MV’ for her moniker encircled in white. around her waist, she wears a red utility belt, holding all sorts of disinfectants and bandages for wounds not worth using her energy for. underneath her dress she wears opaque white stockings, coupled with bright red ankle boots. since her ability is not physical nor combat-related, her costume offers close to no actual protection.

she doesn’t do anything special with her hair, opting instead to keep it braided into two simple plaits that hang down her chest. she also wears a short red cape that comes down to mid-back, for no other reason than liking how it looks. because her ability does not give her any information regarding someone’s heart rate, blood pressure and the like, she wears specially designed glasses that makes this information readily available for her in order to maximize the use of her ability. to top it all off she wears a stereotypical nurse’s hat, red cross and all.
