On the topic of A Nail Through a Star, I remember the ending had some ambiguous elements. Did you ever plan for a sequel, or did you feel that the ending reached the closure you were after? And, if you're able to, could you briefly tell us what you envision happening after the events of the story? (Also lol at the similarities to Malevolent) Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

LOL it wasn't until recently that I fully realized the depth of my affection for bodyshare (Nail's ending, Jayden inside Connor's head, my MCU was heading into Venom...hahaha).

But yes, I did briefly consider a sequel to Nail! My idea was that Seb and his Scooby gang would hunt down the Mobius elders, and eventually find Ruvik a new body in the process. I had a few scenes in mind of them infiltrating another FBI office and such, and after TEW2 came out I thought about incorporating Yukiko and the others so that I wouldn't have to make up a ton of OCs. But I couldn't think of a hook that would live up to the finale of Nail, and I ended up not liking any of the new TEW2 characters (oops), so it felt safer not to attempt.

In the end I do consider Nail complete as it is. In my heart they took down Mobius, got Ruvik a body he likes, and continued as vigilantes with some kind of cover business. I do miss Ruseb, what a great ship :<

• her favorite holiday is New Years

• she met her first girlfriend and started dating her when she was in her 40’s

• her favorite elements of nature are ice, light, shadow, force, and wind

• other hobbies include: writing in her journal, archery, horseback riding, and swimming

• loved a lot of movies from the 40’s and 50’s. her brother would take her to see them back then.

• she’s a good liar when she wants to be, though if you’re close enough with her, you’ll be able to tell when she’s lying and when she’s not

• was born on May 11th 15 A.D. right at noon

• celebrated most of her birthdays with small parties in the woods in the middle of the night

• speaking of being in the woods, she always enjoyed wandering through the woods and practicing her archery skills there

Scooby OC’s: Valentina Van Ghoul

• Vincent Van Ghoul’s older sister, 3 years older than him to be exact but shorter than him

• appearance: has long, wavy dark hair with a few gray streaks underneath (turned completely gray when she got older) dark eyes, usually wears an old white dress with a black cloak over it, her hair is always down

• personality: sweet, caring, was shy when she was a child, can be a little stubborn sometimes, has a lighter aesthetic and has interests different to her brother. strong minded as well

• close with her brother and always there for him throughout the years, also didn’t fight with him much, but when they did, sometimes she’d win. and sometimes she’d lose.

• she’s a lesbian. first person she came out to was Vincent. realized she was a lesbian sometime in adulthood

• gave her brother the affectionate nickname “Vin”

• prefers daytime over nighttime, and her favorite season is spring

• died of an illness that affected witches in 1962. her soul is resting peacefully in the afterlife and checks up on her brother regularly to see how he’s doing

• regularly wore jewelry in life. and started making her own jewelry as a hobby in the 1700’s

• loved reading fiction and non-fiction books. was usually seen reading about magic, women, mysteries, and history

• appearance: redhead, hair is long and naturally curly and is styled to be wavy at times, has emerald green eyes

• age: 18 (as of 2023)

• birthday: February 7th

• personality: extrovert, funny, friendly, can be annoying at times, helpful, lies sometimes but is bad at it, open-minded, can get anxious easily, loyal

• always enjoys going to parties, and never misses a chance to hang out with her friends

• hobbies: drawing, singing, dancing, blogging, editing, and listening to music

• met Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby at 10 years old while they were solving a mystery. meets Fred and Velma at age 16

• looks up to Daphne and has been for years

• is either completely avoiding talking about her past and her feelings or talking about it with zero hesitation (she has trauma)

• met my other OC Jayden when she was 8 years old on the first day of 3rd grade after moving from New Jersey to New York, and has been best friends with him ever since (also dating him from March 2022-now)

thinking a lot about Ophelia today. she really is one of my favorite OC’s i’ve made. like in the top 5 no questions asked. her bad dancing at parties is very fun, her favorite flowers are specifically black roses, was in a castle for 3000 years by herself, hunted ghosts like almost every day and helped some of them cross over, looks fantastic all the time, excellent cook, is kind and open minded but it’s very easy to be afraid of her, (and sometimes you probably should be) can sing like an angel but doesn’t sing a lot, fell in love a little too hard but it’s okay, absolutely feral, has a connection to birds and the sun. love her so much

my new OC:

his name is Abbadon and he is Asamad’s distant cousin who’s also a demon but unlike Asamad, he was just always evil and a demon. he’s the forgotten member of the Van Ghoul family and is envious of Asamad getting to be remembered. i came up with him after i drew something that was supposed to be Asamad but for some reason came out looking wayyy different so i was just like “you know what? that’s his cousin.” he’s forgotten by the family because someone put a spell on the bloodline to make them forget after seeing that his crimes were even worse than Asamad’s. so no one remembers him, but he still remembers the family and seeks them out from time to time. though, he never gets the chance to reveal himself to any of them.

Scooby OC’s: Ophelia Van Ghoul

• Asamad Van Ghoul’s wife

• appearance: tall, wears a black and green dress with a green cape over it, long dark hair tied up in a bun with just only 2 pieces of hair in the front and dark eyes, (darker than Valentina’s was, like basically black) round face

• personality: kind and loving, can be very angry at times though, (especially if you say anything about her husband!) loyal, can be pessimistic at times as well, funny, and patient. has always been open-minded

• was once the most powerful witch in the world. before she got married, her last name was Eve.

• met her husband while struggling to fight a ghost one day and he saved her and defeated the ghost for her. she also completely fell in love with him during their 5th date❤️ hunted ghosts with her husband before they had a child together. also helped her husband defeat Nekara when she tried to make him cheat on his wife and tried to steal his powers (Ophelia still hates Nekara to this day for that)

• an old fashioned woman basically. like really old fashioned. like from 3,000 years ago.

• hobbies: gardening, and cooking, and traveling

• had many friends in life. and loved going to parties.

• she is straight

• her favorite flowers are black roses! they’ve been her favorite ever since Asamad gave her some red roses and accidentally turned them into black with his magic and she decided that she loved them

• died of a broken heart after Asamad became evil and turned into a demon and got trapped in the chest. also stayed in a broken and shattered version of their castle in another dimension alone as a ghost waiting for him to come back to her for 3,000 years (this is the plot of my “Thousands Of Years” fic) she moved onto the afterlife though and is resting peacefully there!

• had one son, and was a really good mother. raised her son to be a good man.
