some stuff i established re: crane and his students for the sake of “bullseye”: jonathan crane is INCREDIBELY friendly and likeable. he cares about his students and their mental wellbeing!! everyone loves him. some time after scarecrow shows up for the first time, crane attends a local halloween party dressed up as scarecrow. what a goof! everyone loves him.

due to him being the way he is, his students often joke that he probably is scarecrow in disguise. it’s just a running joke, a gag - and then scarecrow gets captured and unmasked.

his students get a collective heart attack on spot. one girl tweets “EFGUSHFHEJWHFHAJHFHRFHWUFRHFHSDHFHHF”. police confiscates their phones and laptops and gordon goes through their group chat, trying to figure out if there really didn’t know. pre-murder club asher from htgawm becomes their favorite character, because good GOD do they understand him now.
