It’s been a long time coming, but I finally buckled down and drew the Master of Masters and Luxu’s flower pieces.
I originally didn’t do these two for the simple fact that I had no idea how I wanted to do them or what flowers to use, but I’ve learned a whole lot since my first foray into flowers.
I did go back and fourth on using Luxu’s current ‘persona’ or his old one we see in Back Cover and Union X, but I decided to use his current, because it was an excuse for me to draw long hair, as well as put flowers in them haha.
As usual, Keep-Reading contains flowers and meanings if you’re interested in my choices;
Master of Masters (here-on called MoM for simplicity)
I included as many flowers as possible for MoM, not because I found that there were a lot of flowers I could attach to him, but because of his chaotic nature he exudes every time he’s on screen.
Due to this, there’s a lot of overlap with the meanings, with several flowers meaning the same thing.
I included 7 ‘meaning’ flowers and 1 flower (clover) that he’s associated with (much like Ava is associated with Dandelions).
The only part of him I included that wasn’t his cloak was his ‘eye’, which is gazing back at you.
Amaryllis: Red Amaryllis is a symbol for pride and strength. MoM is the representation of the deadly sin of Pride, making Amaryllis depict his true self. Amaryllis is also symbolic for determination, and MoM is determined to get rid of Darkness for once and for all, even if it’ll take life-times to do it.
Anemone, half-closed: Anemone foretell harsh times ahead when they are closing, since they do this at night or to protect themselves against harsh weather. The closing Anemone could also mean ‘hiding’ or ‘hidden things’ as it was believed that fae slept in the closed flowers at night.
We don’t know much about MoM other than what he’s told us.
The Pink and red colouration may seem serene and almost childish, but it in fact denotes death and leaving, much like how MoM dims and fades away.
Eustoma: These flowers represent the charisma and sociability a person has. MoM, if anything we’ve seen is good at winning over people, and is held in great respect by his 6 apprentices.
The Purple colouration denotes a more noble and sophisticated side to him; he is the Master of the Masters after all.
Yellow Chrysanthemums: In the flower world, Yellow is usually the symbol for joy and happiness, but for Chrysanthemums, it is the opposite. While the flowers themselves represent joy; Yellow chrysanthemums means departure, loss and rebirth.
We don’t know much about MoM, but he does say he has lost a lot of friends to Darkness, as well as him himself disappearing, only to end up in ‘the after life’.
Purple Ranunculus: Over all, Ranunculus has a specific meaning of ‘charm’, but with purple they add a bit of mystery to it.
Buttercup: I originally drew these for Ava’s flower piece for her association with greed and the flower’s symbolic link to it, but Buttercups also mean childishness; which MoM’s personality fits greatly, as he’s often playful and teasing to his apprentices when the mood strikes him.
Purple Carnations: Carnations themselves are indicative of Capriciousness, which once again, MoM is too. Impulsiveness and unpredictable is another way to read Purple carnations, which is still apt for the enigmatic and unpredictable MoM.
Clover: It's no surprise that Clover flowers mean the same as their leaves; Good Luck or Good Fortune. There’s no direct character meaning associated with MoM, but he is seen playing around with Clovers in Back Cover (literally playing with luck).

Luxu
I put the flowers in his hair, not only because it seemed a reasonable place to put them, but because his old identity is still present and interwoven into his new persona.
Alstroemeria: This flower means ‘life long commitment’, which is often portrayed as ‘life long love’ or partnership. However, I think Luxu takes this to the extreme, living out multiple lives to fulfil his role and duty to the Master of Masters.
Begonia: Begonia flowers foretell dangers, misfortune and challenges, all of which Luxu needs to face in order to fulfil his role without any aid.
Lewisia: with their hardy nature, Lewisia represent toughing it out, as well as rebirth and renewal. Something I bet Luxu is familiar with, jumping from vessel to vessel.
Purple Shamrock/Oxalis: I kind of chose this one for personal reasons, since it's the only species of houseplant I have currently.
But aside from that, it can be said that it’s a plant that often means ‘falsehood’, since its a ‘shamrock’ but its colouration is unusual. For this reason, I used the leaves instead of the flowers.
I chose this for Luxu, because all through the series he’s been acting as someone else; Braig or Xigbar, and creating a false persona to hide behind.

Ever think about how Ephemer and Naminé changed the Book of Prophecies?
Think about it: while X and X Back Cover imply the book ends with the Keyblade War, they never specify WHICH Keyblade War, simply that “darkness prevails and light expires.” Maleficent even implies in Re:Coded that the Book of Prophecies still has some use to her, meaning it’s predictions have not all been fulfilled yet
The Cloaked Figure from Dark Road implies that they’ve read the Book of Prophecies, which is why they try to raise Xehanort into the Child of Destiny. Ephemer was the last person to wield the book, and Ephemer becomes the founder of Scala Ad Caelum, where Brain is found by Sigurd who seems to have also read the book, meaning it’s still somewhere in Scala
I believe the Cloaked Figure, who happens to be the reincarnation of the Player from Union X, to also be the Player from Missing Link, which takes place in Scala Ad Caelum at the same time that Brain and Sigurd are there. This is how they could have found access to the book, as well as why they took Xehanort from Scala to raise him on Destiny Islands
I also believe Sora to be the Player’s third reincarnation, but that’s another post. My point is that Sora is the true Child of Destiny that the Book of Prophecies claimed had the power to win the Keyblade War, but Xehanort believes himself to be the Child of Destiny to win in his own favor. The thing is, he DOES win, darkness DOES prevail and light DOES expire
And then Sora finds Naminé in The Final World, and he asks her for help, and she does. She finds Lingering Will and she sends him their way. As Sora collects the hearts of his friends and takes them all back through time, Naminé, from within Kairi, joins him, and from the past she is able to connect to Terra and summon Lingering Will
Lingering Will’s presence is what stops Terranort, saving Ventus and Axel (and also Donald lol). Then, as the demon tide returns to take everyone out again, Ephemer suddenly appears and decides to send aid to the true Child of Destiny, his best friend the Player, and that’s freakin beautiful
This post got more wordy than I intended but my point is that the efforts of Ephemer and Naminé are what changed the course of history, and that’s so freakin cool
