Got an assessment back from one of my applications and while I still don't know if they'll actually pick me or not it is a relief to have formal confirmation that my applications aren't considered embarrassingly bad.

#I am 'qualified with a relevant background and good grades' :D #(the latter part I can only take to mean they didn't look at/care about my undergrad grades which. good. whole point of my masters #grade-wise is proving I can do better than that when I'm not incredibly burnt out/having a mild mental breakdown) #I mean I assumed my supervisor would have warned me if I were submitting embarrassingly bad applications #but I did have that dream about a selection committee viciously tearing it apart & have been low-key worried ever since #....particularly good timing to get this on the day that I yet again failed to attend a careers fair I signed up to #which. sigh. I know. but. woke up late and tired and overstimulated and decided my time would be better spent trying to actually get some #progress on the thesis than hearing about how I could work for. checks notes. a sports betting company. #I still have time to make it to some of the less soul-sucky presentations though #liveblogging my masters

Oh no, I think I found an easier way to do this step compared to the book I am using. But it is the wordy way and I don't like that because it has too much potential of me missing some important, proof-ruining detail. On the other hand it feels nice to do more than extremely slowly copying the book. Perhaps today is the day (night) that I can put this entire thing behind me?

My prof told me on Monday that he would have preferred if I did it in a different way, after me working on this for the last three or four weeks. Thanks, I was using the book you gave me. Anyways, I need to get faster with shit.

Im lvl 26 w the shujin trio and morgana since ive been grinding w them specifically, and as a result, everyone elses levels are VERY behind. So u can imagine that me using Sophia for the first time ever (and in the second jail no less), and her getting beat up so bad that she said ‘ive taken too much damage :(‘ in the saddest voice imaginable made me wail in AGONY. I am so sorry sophie im bad at the game and ur yoyos are so hard to perfect. Please fucking forgive me…..!!!!

SOBBING. #but in better news; i am finished getting harus master arts so now im working on sophias #and playing the game long enough has made it easier to get a grip on her mechanics

Today in "failing grade in social interaction": was hanging out on the maths professor floor in hopes of tracking down my advisor who hasn't answered my emails in a hot second.

Former PDE prof recognised me, said hi.

What I have not mentioned is that former PDE prof looks vaguely like my advisor, and since my advisor was the only person I was expecting to run into here who'd recognise/greet me, in a moment of disorientation I launched straight into asking him about stuff from the emails.

Cue a couple seconds of baffled silence followed by him starting to laugh because apparently this has happened to him often enough that he knew exactly who I'd confused him for.

Anyways I'm going to go dig myself a hole in the ground and hide out there forever.
