Precure All Stars F

Film cure groupings breakdown based off the trailer + thoughts:

1: Team Sky. Sora, Yui, Manatsu and Puka. The three most recent lead cures, and while I haven't seen Tropical Rouge or Delicious Party yet, from what I can tell they're all pretty matched personality-wise in terms of being high-energy characters. They also have the new mascot with them. They appear to meet in some sort of rocky location where Summer and Precious echo the classic Futari Wa building jump on the rocks. Nice callback. I have no idea where they got the minecart from, but the level of chaos here tracks 100% for this group of cures.

2: Team Prism: Nodoka, Mashiro, Amane and Laura. A softer set of cures, and of course, we get the VA match up of Mashiro and Rabirin in the same scenes! They can't not make some sort of reference to that. Following on from Tropical Rouge, they appear to meet on some sort of beach location. Nodoka and Mashiro's running training comes in handy later on when they're all running from something. The new mascot appears with this team in the trailer too. It'll be interesting to see where that comes into play.

3: Team Wing: Haruka, Tsubasa, Haa-chan, Saaya, and Elle-chan. I just Had to get this screenshot for them wiv little birdy boi on top. They all look so happy. And they had ballons before. Balloons! Flying with balloons!!! So these four all have a flight theme (with a hint of flowers) going on, and appear to be in quite a hilly location, requiring them to fly from a to b. Part of the trailer shows a cloudy valley with a castle in the distance which they seem to be trying to get to. With the magic of Haa-chan at their side, they are obviously travelling in style, though, I don't think that lasts. (see point 6)

4: Team Butterfly: Ageha, Lala, Asumi and Yukari. The adult/more mature cures (allegedly). I love this grouping already because they make Ageha look a LOT less in control of things, which is entertaining. Also they are riding a creature. Bets on Yukari taming it with her scritches and Asumi talking to it to ask it to help.

5: Why have I got a number 5? Well,

For this. The rest of the cure team leads. I feel like there will be some point where we will get some sort of cameo from the rest of the cures (or their leads at least), likely at the climax of the film, as it would be unlikely for them to completely omit the other teams on an anniversary year. Very good likelihood of Cure Black and Cure White appearing in speaking roles even if they're not billed. It is an Anniversary year after all.

6: One more match up I want to talk about:

Elle-chan and the new mascot. Notably no cures around, so I wonder if Elle-chan gets seprated from Team Wing at some point. :( But it'll be interesting to see how that goes down too, as we still don't know a huge amount about Elle-chan anyway.

I know that everyone loves Kururun because she’s just a little guy that does nothing, but consider this.

Kururun is considered a sea fairy, not just a seal, a sea fairy. Do you know what kind of fairies happen sport a seal disguise?

Selkies

Beings capable of transforming into humans by shedding their seal skin.

I like to think that Kururun does have a human form but never shares it because she just likes being the royal pet. She like being a little guy who does nothing. She probably had her seal skin permanently sewn up because she just likes being a little creature.

And it’s not like her body is incapable of human speech, in the body swap segment of episode 33, even though Minori didn’t say anything in Kururun’s body, Kururun in Manatsu’s body only says her signature ‘Kururun,’ this means that Kururun doesn’t speak her own language, she just chooses to only say ‘Kururun.’

Humans are so complicated, aren’t they? Such trivialities don’t exist within the ocean, you know.

“⋯ the truth is, i love you more than i’ve ever told you,” he divulges softly, each wave of his breath on your sensitive skin bringing a new sensation of warmth and affection, “my dream is to be with you forever.”

Placing his hands overtop of your own, Kanata hums and intertwines your fingers together. The feeling is enough to remind him about how the ocean doesn’t know transience, and that he can have this moment with you until the final days.

Asuka is a proud Tennis player, known professionally for her strong death blow, at least her wife Yuriko and Tennis duo exists because according to rumors she had no mercy in high school.

They also have an adopted daughter! She's actually the girl who was with Marine! Mostly they are always on the island training but whenever there is a competition to which they were invited they leave, but if it is school season they leave Aiko to be taken care of by Sango. Asuka loves her daughter very much

Speaking of Sango, she has her mother's business, she was already qualified for that from a young age but she lacked personality, when she met Manatsu and the other girls everything began to be resolved.

The next would be Minori who has a good job as an Editor and a secondary job as a Writer, they are the wildest and craziest stories but somehow she has achieved a complete audience

Bee & PuppyCat: Like I said, it's just kawaiicore ADHD. Absolutely incoherent, can't focus on a storyline to save its own life, and Toast was too annoying for me to deal with;

Mermaid Melody: It could've worked better as an Idol Anime instead. The "fighting scenes" were an absolute snoozefest for me and we do not speak of MerMelo Aqua;

High Guardian Spice: The gigantic amount of hate this show has recieved was unfair, this show looks like it was made in the 2000's at best. It looks and behaves VERY amateurishingly;

Magical Destroyers: It was supposed to be a critic towards Cringe Culture and fascist regimes, but it led up to absolutely nothing. There's a Magical Girl who's obsessed with sex, and another one who's a drug addict. I only got into it because the other MG shared a seiyuu with Manatsu Natsuumi/Cure Summer;

Madoka Magica: The most controversial take of this list, I know. I can guarantee that almost every plotline/trope that happens in the OG anime has already happened in previous MG series in some shape or form.

I feel that Nogizaka46 have reached a milestone at those days

It was the graduation day for

Akimoto Manatsu-san, the 1st gen and Suzuki Ayane-san, the 2nd gen

First of all, I'm going to talk about Akimoto Manatsu-san

Manatsu-san is the person who kept the core of Nogizaka46 remains unchanged throughout the years

Even though in generation wise we are far apart, we actually didn't feel that way because she was always so close with us

The pink dress really suited Manatsu-san well At the very last, seeing her graduating with her trademark (?) bare shoulder, I, as a fan, thought that "She is a stylish, cool and cute idol afterall..."

Suzuki Ayane-san,

Everything about her, from the way she stood to the way she speak, was elegant

At the last enjin (the usual shouting before live), Ayane-san said

"Some of you might be worried because there'll be no more 1ki and 2ki members, but please remember that the path that we've taken up to this point, is the path we have taken as Nogizaka46"

Ayane-san often speaks great things with beautiful words Her attitude of conveying something to the other person without using short words, is beautiful as well

Since yesterday, I opened the blogs on the Nogizaka46's Message app, and then I saw Ayane-san's thumbnail in the Kenkyuusei's section tab, like I was searching the remaining traces of her

The dress she wore was also elegant and really suited her well Especially the glove Ayane-san use made her look like that she is the princess from some kingdom, and I thought that the design symbolized Ayane-san really well

I'm sure that their graduation will be the turning point of Nogizaka46

I know I’m pretty late to ProSeka fandom and what I’m going to say is not anything new, but I have to let it out. Having played through the whole VBS event, I’m trying to actually see their main story and DAMN THERE’S SO MUCH GAY FEELS

Just watched episode 45 of Tropical Rouge Pretty Cure, in which the Cures must put a stop to Butler’s plans once and for all.

A storm is raging all over the world, with the few people of Aozora City who still have their motivation, including aquarium director Mafune, Manatsu’s mother and Yuriko attempt to keep things under control and help those who had their motivation taken.

Butler plans to take the Cures’ Motivation Power, but Manatsu regains consciousness and moves out of the way. Before she can transform back into Cure Summer, Butler knocks her Tropical Pact out of her hands. The other Cures get up, and the Butler plans to take their Motivation Power, summoning monsters called Kowasunda that served the Witch of Destruction in the past.

Suddenly, the other three villains speak up, trying to convince Butler to put a stop to this. The Cures ask if they’re okay, since their motivation got drained earlier. The villains point out that they never had that much motivation to begin with, so it didn’t take long for them to recover. Elda calls out Butler for betraying them, while Butler asks Elda if she doesn’t still want to be a kid forever. Elda states that while she still wishes for that, there’s something more important she needs to do now, as she tosses Manatsu’s Tropical Pact back to her so she can transform.

The Cures transform, and the former three villains begin fighting off the Kowasunda so the Cures can focus their efforts on Butler. However, Marine Beat Dynamic fails to have any effect, and the Butler keeps breaking through every attack they throw at him. He eventually sends the five of them sinking down into a ravine.

The Cures regain consciousness, with Cure Papaya using her eye beams to provide some light for them in the darkness. The Cures try to think of another way to beat Butler, refusing to let him win. Discussing their plans for the near future and gathering their Motivation Power, they manage to gain a final power boost as the power of the Land and Marine Rings combine. With this power, the Cures unleash their final attack, even bringing in an apparation of Cure Oasis to join them in delivering the finishing blow to Butler and returning him to normal.

The three former villains once again tell Butler to just give up now, but Butler still isn’t willing to give up. He decides to give up his own Motivation Power to completely fill up the Fool’s Casket, reducing him to a shriveled state. The Fool’s Casket begins releasing a dark vortex as the storm going on worsens even more. The Cures realize they must hurry and do something, but Cure La Mer reminds them that she doesn’t have the Aqua Pot. Luckily, Queen Melusine shows up just then, bringing along the entire Gran Ocean and the repaired Aqua Pot.

Cure La Mer begins taking back the stolen Motivation Power, with the other four Cures joining in to help her due to the sheer amount of Motivation Power they need to reclaim. Finally, they manage to take it all back, and the Fool’s Casket then explodes, ensuring it can never be activated again. However, the explosion also takes down the Witch’s mansion, so everyone hurries over to the Gran Ocean as Melusine takes everyone to safety.

Making it to the surface, the sun comes out and the Cures are relieved to see that things are returning to normal. All that remains is returning everyone’s motivation, which Cure La Mer is quick to do. In town, everyone is relieved that everything and everyone else are back to normal. The Gran Ocean is also finally restored to normal, and the Cures celebrate.

Queen Melusine thanks the Cures for everything they’ve done, as a final bit of Motivation Power falls out of the Aqua Pot. The former villains approach, noting it must be Butler’s motivation, as he is still shriveled up and no longer interested in destroying the world. Cure Summer initially wants to return his motivation, but the others are unsure if that’s a good idea, with the other villains feeling it might be best to just leave him as he is so he won’t cause any more trouble. Melusine offers to lock away the motivation, but it disappears before they can hand it over. The former villains note it might be for the best.

The former villains apologize to the Cures for all the trouble they caused them, before heading off to presumably look for a new place to live. The Cures realize they need to get back to Aozora so they can continue the preparations for the Tropical Graduation Festival.

Returning to school, the Tropical Club continue preparing for their play, while also helping out the other clubs and students with their own preparations. Manatsu notes she’s going to miss Asuka once she moves on to high school, but Asuka tells her they’ll probably pick up some new members. Manatsu’s and Sango’s mother show up to bring the girls some melon bread, while Sakuragawa brings over sleeping bags for the students that’ll be staying the night at the school.

Later that night, Manatsu wakes up and notices that Laura isn’t in the room with them. She goes to look for her, and overhears a conversation between Laura and the Queen. Queen Melusine tells Laura that the Gran Ocean will be moved to a new location, and that she plans on naming Laura the next Queen, provided Laura returns to Gran Ocean before they leave tomorrow. However, the Queen states that if Laura wishes to stay with her friends as a human instead, she’d be okay with that too. The episode ends as Laura thinks about the decision she will have to make.

A pretty good episode! They probably could’ve done a little bit more with the final battle, but what we got was still good, with Butler bringing back the Witch of Destruction’s former servants, Chongire, Numeri and Elda joining the battle and Cure Oasis showing up one last time for the finishing blow. Also thought it was a nice touch that the Cures all had a more serious expression while doing their usual team name announcement after transforming.

And I feel I should’ve guessed that Butler might resort to using his own Motivation Power to fill up the Fool’s Casket if all else failed. In the end, it seems he’s now permanently drained of all motivation, but I guess after everything he’s done, that might indeed be for the best. Hopefully the former villains will be able to live peaceful lives from now on.

And ooh, that ending. Laura has a difficult decision to make.
