Whats fbaus first road trip like?
What kind of vehicle does FB!kate own? Would she have any stupid bumper stickers or anything? Would the car be a total mess, or would it be her baby that she keeps in pristine condition? I feel like Kate would be all about the archery team having a car wash fundraiser.
---
It's kind of absurd to have a car in NYC but Kate's parents are from the south and both Kate and her brother have a car just sitting in a garage for whenever they want to use it because her dad is like "Where I come from kids get cars when they turn sixteen and my kids won't be the exception." So he goes to Kate and he's like "What car do you want?" And mini fuckboi in training is like "I'VE BEEN PREPPING FOR THIS MY ENTIRE LIFE..........BMW i8 with a custom matte orange and black paint job."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(she's such a piece of shit lol)
Her dad was like "this isn't a girl car" but Kate was like "but your friends and my friends will think it'll be cool and expensive" 😏. This family runs on appearances so that's the vintage car that's parked outside her party for everyone to see at the end of it before they leave.
Fast forward to her dating the tiny Russian. They're planning their first weekend away. And Yelena is all "we gotta keep it close so we don't have to worry about trains and buses and things" and Kate is like "LOL...you sweet summer child. We can pick wherever." And Yelena is like "We're not old enough to rent a car?" And Kate is like "PICK WHEREVER AND LEAVE IT TO ME."
So come the day where they're supposed to leave and Kate is taking them to this random super secure garage and she takes the cover off the ULTIMATE fuckboi car and Yelena looks at the car and then at Kate and then at the car and then at Kate and she's like "Yeah no this totally tracks if this is yours…" and Kate is like "It is mine and idk if I should be offended by that or not." So then they take off and within fifteen minutes Yelena is like "OH AND YOU ALSO DRIVE LIKE AN ASSHOLE. IT'S A PACKAGE DEAL THAT COMES WITH THE CAR!" And Kate is all 😒😒😒
"Do YOU know how to drive?"
"We live in New York....... Why would I know how to drive?"
"That's what I thought. Then you don't get an opinion on my driving skills."
They TOTALLYYYYYYYY have sex in the car at some point that weekend tho. No doubt lol.

BMW Vision M Next Concept: Our First Impressions of This Tesla Threat
“We’re not afraid of change,” BMW stated at its future-tech focused #NEXTGen event in Munich this week. And that’s especially clear with the Vision M Next concept, a striking plug-in hybrid that’s as quick as an M8 yet can go around 60 miles on EV power alone. You’ve seen the photos and learned about the concept, but keep reading to learn about what the new BMW is like in person plus what angle Adrian van Hooydonk, senior vice president of BMW Group Design, especially likes.
Actually You’re Right, BMW
More than just text in a press release, the Vision M Next’s dual-opening grille is faithful to the brand but really does have a sense of depth to it. Behind the silver grille trim you’d expect and the laser-etched pattern you might not, Thrilling Orange paint brightens up the trim behind the silver-accented grille. The effect powerfully emphasizes the latest evolution of a key BMW design element.
About those headlights…
In person, I’m still not a fan of the headlights. I don’t mind that the headlights aren’t placed side-by-side the grille—as on almost every production BMW sold today except maybe one—but I’m not a fan of how small the headlights appear compared to the enormous dual-opening grille. If you see the Vision M Next at an auto show, judge it for yourself.
LOVE This
Could you tell from the photos that the black on the lower side skirts is composed of recycled carbon fiber? Besides being a cool idea, the textured appearance this provides is subtle and effective.
Wheely Nice
The rear wheels are one inch larger than the 21-inch fronts, and although it’s possible that staggered look had some subconscious effect on my appreciation of the BMW concept’s design, the more obvious orange accents on the rear wheels captivated me. Even though I’m still not sold on the “silk-matt” Cast Silver paint over Thrilling Orange accents, I like the idea of painting the rear wheels as a way to draw attention to the car’s performance (BMW says the car can use rear-wheel drive or an EV-based all-wheel drive).
Van Hooydonk says that “[designers’] job as I see it is to have more ideas than the company can build,” a comment that could apply equally to specific details as well as the car as a whole.
Just Enough Heritage
The Vision M Next nods to BMW’s supercar past with the three-piece glass louvres. I found the lower rear diffusers to be far too blocky and aggressive, but then again this is a concept car, and the rest of the rear design makes up for it.
Also, take another look at our gallery of BMW photos to see the other detail fans may appreciate: the 3D-effect taillights that feature BMW roundels from the M1 and Turbo.
Good Point, Adrian
Whether the Vision M Next previews an i8-successor that’s already in the works or is simply meant to attract future-looking enthusiasts to the brand, van Hooydonk suggests the concept may have already done its job.
“Here, our job was to make people dream,” he says about the concept. Oh, one of his favorite angles of the car? It’s the rear three-quarter view. From that angle, you can see the M1-inspired rear, plus the reinvented Hofmeister kink incorporated into the sculpted side panels.
So, What About Tesla?
Van Hooydonk didn’t explicitly reference the industry-shifting electric-car brand, but he did defend the Vision M Next’s plug-in powertrain as one logical path to the future of the sports car. One leading idea at the #NEXTGen event was the way autonomous and sports-car driving can live in the same electrified world. As the automotive industry figures out which powertrain technologies will emerge on top in the face of tightening regulations, BMW arguably has more flexibility than Tesla, which makes the best-selling luxury car in the U.S. (the Model 3). BMW can produce a one-off 5-Series-based EV with acceleration in the same league as the Tesla Model S P100D while also preparing a successor to its plug-in hybrid sports car. Even though most automakers remain years behind Tesla in popularizing electrification, this powertrain flexibility could be an advantage in the short term, before EVs continue to add range like the Model S just did.
As for the Vision M Next, it’s easy to appreciate its design in person. Although there are a couple things this humble author and not-designer might change, the design represents BMW’s desire to make an electrified vehicle seem sexy, a goal I can definitely stand behind.

3D Print Your Very Own BMW Vision M NEXT Sports Car
The BMW Vision M NEXT is an electric sports car concept designed with an assumption in mind: that even in the coming epoch of autonomous vehicles, the BMW enthusiast will always retain a strong appreciation for the thrill and satisfaction of hands-on driving. Drawing inspiration from the air-cutting, wedge-shaped silhouette of the BMW Turbo and groundbreaking BMW i8 plug-in hybrid, the dynamic silhouette can be yours today for free – in miniature – if you happen to have a 3D printer on hand.
https://design-milk.com/images/2019/07/vb-09-1-media-hd.mp4
BMW is inviting anyone with a 3D printer to download 3D printing data to recreate the low-slung silhouette of their evocative sports car. The output can be scaled and is only limited by the size of your printer. But the resulting model won’t capture some of our favorite details, like BMW Vision M NEXT’s gullwing doors and shockingly bright orange rear exterior (aka a matte-neon shade called, Thrilling Orange).
From Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design:
The BMW Vision M NEXT provides a glimpse into the future of sporty driving. Where the BMW Vision iNEXT illustrated how autonomous driving is set to transform life on board our vehicles, the BMW Vision M NEXT demonstrates how state-of-the-art technology can also make the experience of driving yourself purer and more emotionally engaging. In both models, the focus is firmly on the people inside. Design and technology make the ‘EASE’ and ‘BOOST’ experiences more natural and more intense.
BMW’s signature kidney grill is recreated with laser-wire technology on the headlights, a reinterpretation of BMW’s classic four-eyed face.
Noting not everyone has access to their own 3D printer, BMW has also made available an interesting aural alternative to experience the BMW Vision M NEXT, offering the unique engineered sound of their all-electric vehicle. Created by Hollywood film composer Hans Zimmer and BMW sound designer Renzo Vitale, the BMW Vision M NEXT boost sound evokes a sense of acceleration and energy unique to the instant torque speed of an electric vehicle and could make for an interesting ring or notification tone.
You can download the sound file for Boost+ Mode here.
The two-tone paint finish is a combination of Cast Silver Metallic and Thrilling Orange, a color tandem highlighted by the vehicle’s gullwing doors.
Acknowledging generations of car enthusiasts have plastered their walls with car posters, BMW is also offering a poster print file to download intended for large format color printing. Download here.
For more information and additional wallpaper downloads of the BMW Vision M NEXT, check out their website dedicated to this design study of BMW’s electrified prospective.

2017 Gift Guide for Every Child on Your List (Even the High Schoolers)
Precious few appreciate the holidays quite like children. They get so excited and honestly, watching them get excited about Santa and his reindeer or making Christmas cookies helps put me in the holiday spirit, too.
If there are some little ones (or older kids) on your holiday shopping list, these gifts are sure to bring a smile to their faces.
Ages 4 and Younger
For preschool-aged kids, learning toys are a perfect option. Something that’s fun, interactive and helps teach them something new will be welcomed by everyone.
Another fun gift option is anything soft and cuddly – and if you buy them a plush version of their favorite character, like Peppa Pig and her brother George, they’ll adore it!
Peppa Pig & George Giggle and Wiggle Plush $35
Crayola My First Touch Lites Plus $20
Lekue 4 Unite Iconic Assorted Shape Ice Cream Mold $16
Fox Body Pillow Orange – Pillowfort $20
My First Reading Club Subscription $10/month
5- to 7-Year-Olds
For kiddos who are 5 – 7 years old, try gifts that embrace their imagination and help them think outside the box. Something like a stuffed animal adoption set allows them to play pretend and take care of a pet (without actually having to buy a real pet).
Last year’s hot toy item was the Hatchimals Hatching Egg and they’re back! They’re giant eggs that hatch to reveal the creatures inside. Children absolutely love them and they’re sure to be a hot item again this year.
Goldendoodle Stuffed Animal Adoption Set $39
Hatchimals Hatching Egg $60
Imaginext DC Super Friends Batbot Xtreme $100
BMW i8 Concept 6-volt Electric Ride-On Car $180
Soggy Doggy Game $20
Ages 7 – 10
It’s never too early to encourage your child’s interest in technology and computers. If they’re tech savvy, get a programming gift like the Project Mc2 Pixel Purse or a Kano Computer Kit! Not into tech? No worries, try something that encourages their more artistic side, like a portable karaoke machine. Or let them get hands-on with the Super Slime Studio.
Kano Computer Kit $127
The Singing Machine Portable Karaoke System $50
Project Mc2 Pixel Purse $55
Super Slime Studio by Cra-Z-Art $30
SPORTSSTUFF Pizza Snow Tube $19
11- to 13-Year-Olds
Tweens love “cool” gifts. While something like a colorful waterproof speaker or a neon light are definitely cool, one of my favorite gifts on this list is Escape the Crate. Ever been to an escape room? Same concept, but sent straight to your house. You sign up for this subscription and every two months they send you a new crate with an escape game you can play as a family or with your child and their friends. It’s a great fun way to have some fun and hang out together.
Escape the Crate $30/2 months
Altec Mini H2O Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker $40
Candied Cranberry Tumbler Bath Set $15
Pineapple Neon Light $61
Rover 2.0 App-Controlled Wireless Spy Tank $100
Ages 14 to 18
Toys aren’t as exciting to the high school student. So what do you buy for a picky teenager? If they love makeup, you could try something like the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Vault. It comes with 36 creamy matte lip colors that would excite any makeup lover. Another hot item? Anything virtual reality (VR). Try the VR headset with built-in headphones that can virtually transport them to a new place while standing in your living room.
VR Headset with Built-In Headphones $70
Game of Phones Card Game $20
BeatsX Earphones $109
NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream Vault II $65
Magnetic Sand Hourglass $18
Hopefully you found the perfect gifts for the children on your list. Do you have other suggestions to add to the gift guide? Leave us a comment below.

After years of boring X3, X5… series 7, 5, 1…  Active Tourer…. BMW is waking up!  Here you have a bold and nice design, the new Z4 roadster.
Matte paint finish in Frozen Energetic Orange this gorgeous car has sharper grille design, headlights so different form nowadays BMW’s car and a nice L-shaped taillights resembling BMW i8.   Z models (Z1, Z3, Z4 and Z8) always have been about loooong hood, not this car… with a shorter one, moving the driver to the center.
And this nice concept doesn’t come alone! It has two nice brother concepts: X2 Concept and 8 Series Concept.  BMW welcome again to gorgeous cars world!  We’ve missed you!
