Mei: It’s time to go where I really wanted to go today.
Rie: Right. Lead me, Mei. I will follow you to the day’s bitter end.

Mei: Here we are.
Rie: The observation deck…. I recall my mother brought us here once, many moons ago.
Mei: I do too.
Rie: But…it looks completely different from how I remember it.
Mei: They renovated it a few years ago.
Rie: Ah, did they? Whatever they did, the view outside is still much the same. …It’s beautiful.
Mei: The Skytree wasn’t built yet back then. Tokyo Tower was, though.
Rie: Hehe. Oh, what’s that? A baseball stadium? It’s so much brighter than everything around it. And because of its shape, it looks like the moon.
Rie: Ah! I remember seeing it back then too. It looked so weird to me, the way it glowed so wide and round.
Rie: Ahaha. It looks exactly how it did back then. Do you remember, Mei?
Mei: I do. After that, you suddenly got interested in baseball games. I also remember how you dragged me into it too.
Rie: O-oh, I did?
Mei: You could never win a single game against me, though.
Rie: That goes for all kinds of games, given you…
Mei: That hasn’t changed at all, huh.
Rie: …Hey, Mei. Some people say they look like stars on the ground, but the lights down below…those are all from electricity, huh?
Rie: Lights from buildings, from cars, and even from stoplights. Lights that only exist because humans do… I wonder, how many people am I looking at, right now?
Mei: …This observation deck is 251 m above the ground. Assuming a 6% increase in line of sight due to atmospheric refraction…
Mei: And assuming the Earth is a perfect sphere with a radius of 6378 km, and no obstructions…

Rie: Uhh, sure…so that means…?
Mei: All of Tokyo is easily within range. At least half of each of the neighbouring prefectures of Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa should also be visible.
Rie: W-wait, really?! Mmm, but it’s so dark it’s hard to make out the details.
Mei: It’s simple math.
Rie: …By the way. Why did you want to bring me here today?
Mei: I wanted to go somewhere we went as children. That’s true for both this observation deck as well as earlier on the street.
Rie: …Right.
Mei: Our circumstances have changed quite a bit. AiRBLUE, moving into the dorm…
Rie: …Yes, they sure have. But I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Mei: No, not at all.
Mei: And it’s not just our circumstances. Both you and I have changed as well.
Mei: And yet…
Rie: Yeah.
Mei: In this ever-changing world…some things remain constant. Those things are precious too, I think.
Rie: …
Mei: I wanted to look for them today.
Mei: The things that have changed in the sceneries we saw when we were little…
Mei: And the things that haven’t. I wanted to find them both.
Rie: I see.
Rie: …
Rie: …Hehhehhehheh.
Rie: What a fool’s errand you’ve been on! For that which is unchanging has been beside you all along, has it not?! I, the archdemon Ellis!
Rie: I may have taken to consorting with mortals a little more as of late, but demon blood yet courses through my veins. That will not change so easily.
Rie: Even if it is…well…a little troublesome, perhaps, at times!
Mei: …So you noticed.
Rie: Come, let us draw closer to the window.
Rie: Gaze upon all those people kilometres below alongside me!
Rie: And, um…thanks. For today. For planning all of this, to celebrate my nativity.
Mei: Your birthday only comes once a year, after all.
Rie: Hehehe.
Rie: Ahhh, that stadium sure does glow. It’s as if the full moon has crashed down to earth.
Rie: Not only stars on the ground, but the moon as well…people truly can create such beautiful scenery, that much hasn’t changed…
Mei: …Yes. If that’s what you think, Rie…I’m sure it’s true.

Synopsis
Set at the offices of "AiRBLUE", a rookie voice acting agency with no track record or experience, CUE! follows the trials and tribulations of a group of young women who follow their dreams of becoming voice actors. But the voice acting world is highly competitive, and no matter how much someone practices, not everyone will make it past the audition process. Liber Entertainment's original CUE! mobile game launched for iOS and Android devices in Japan on October 25, 2019. The game lets players take charge of four teams of four aspiring seiyuu. The characters in the game are voiced by fresh faces in the industry themselves, and the teams they're divided into are Flower, Bird, Moon, and Wind.

Rie: A lot’s changed since we were kids. Like the stores, for one thing. So many of these places weren’t around back then.
Mei: Yes…oh.
Mei: Wait here for a moment.

Rie: Hm? What’s this? Oh, it’s warm…
Mei: A corned beef taiyaki.
Rie: A…corned beef taiyaki? They really make those?
Mei: And this one’s chili cheese flavour.
Rie: Is that even still taiyaki?
Mei: This kind of food–and the store that sells it–wasn’t around when we were younger.
Rie: Yeah. This is definitely my first time having something like this. It’s not bad, though.
Mei: You’re a different person now than you were before. You’re a Team Leader and all that.
Mei: New food for a new Rie. It’s only fitting.
Rie: What an oddly threatening way of saying that. You sound like you’re describing “eye for an eye”. …Oh, but don’t get me wrong. I appreciate you going out of your way to find these.
Mei: Rie. I want you to let go and not be so concerned about all the people around you.
Rie: Huh?
Mei: It’s just you and me. Be as “Ellis” as you want today.
Rie: Oh? Very well. If you so desire…
Rie: Hmph. This foodstuff is queer but I cannot deny it is also quite delectable. Did you track this down for my sake? You have my gratitude.

Rie: Was that okay…?
Mei: There were no issues.
Rie: I don’t know if anyone’s ever actively encouraged me to lean into my Ellis persona. I’m kind of at a loss, honestly.
Mei: Rie, you have undergone quite a few changes since becoming leader, but you’ve clearly been spending less time as Ellis as a result.
Mei: So at least this much is okay.
Rie: I detect some faint hints of reluctance in those words…or is my mind playing tricks on me…?

Mei: I’ve never thought of it with any such gravitas.
Rie: You’ve always had lots of manga and books and games and stuff in your room ever since we were little, after all.

Rie: And ever since we were little…I would always ask to borrow them from you.
Mei: You were content with that.
Rie: …Oh? This is that anime that Team Flower were cast in…oho. So they already have merch.

Rie: That figure. It’s one of my most admired characters in all demonkind, a great leader among us fell creatures…

Rie: Heheheh….Hark! For this night is the eve of my nativity. At this very hour we must needs confirm the proceedings for the ceremony of my earthly nascence.
Rie: And so! I summon thee, blood of my blood. Heed my voice and appear before me at once!
Mei: You called?
Rie: I sure did! That was quick.
Mei: I figured it was best to get it over with.
Mei: Otherwise you would have kept messaging me with those weird incantations.
Mei: So, what is it?
Rie: I was wondering if you were, er…doing anything tomorrow?
Mei: I am, as a matter of fact. I’ll be doing something very important.
Rie: O-oh…I see. That’s, um…that’s disappointing, but it happens…
Mei: Disappointing? I’ll be celebrating your ‘nativity’.
Rie: Huh?
Mei: After all this time, you hardly need to ask if I’m doing anything on your birthday.
Rie: Oh…oho! I see now! So that is what you meant!
Mei: Is that why you wanted to talk to me?
Rie: Yes, I wanted to confirm if we would be spending the day together…
Mei: I have it all planned out. I won’t tell you where we’re going, but all you need to do is follow me.
Rie: Huh? I don’t think you’ve done anything like that before. What’s brought this on, Mei?

The card title alludes to Castor, a figure from Greek myth and one of the Dioscuri twins along with his brother Pollux. In their most popular stories, Castor was fully human and mortal while Pollux was immortal and a son of Zeus. They are also associated with the constellation Gemini, with the two brightest stars in the constellation (Alpha and Beta Geminorum) also being known as Castor and Pollux.
[1] Rie recites an invocation that appears to trace back to the "Grand Grimoire", a European book purporting to contain instructions relating to summoning demons. The chant is somewhat popular in anime and manga, seemingly first being used by Akuma-kun and perhaps most notably seen in Your Lie in April.

Mei: Since we’re already out, would you like to go for a walk? There’s a light display we could go see.
Rie: Oh? Where?
Mei: The station plaza one stop over. I hear it’s quite beautiful.
Rie: Sounds good. Let’s see, if we’re taking the train…
Mei: It’s not far, we can just walk there.
Rie: Oh, if it’s that close, that works too.
Mei: Indeed. Let’s go.
Mei: There’s a lot of people here even though it’s a weeknight.
Rie: …Hm? Did you say something?
Mei: Something’s on your mind. What were you looking at?
Rie: That line over there…it’s huge. What’s it for?
Mei: Oh, that. There’s a bubble tea shop there. It’s really popular right now. Have you tried it?
Rie: I have no interest in such passing fads. I bet it’s not even worth the wait.
Mei: You always did hate having to line up for things.
Rie: One time, I went to that one amusement park. The one that's always going "Where dreams come true" and all that.
Mei: You did? That’s unusual..
Rie: But all the lines were so long, I didn’t end up getting on a single ride.

Rie: In fact, I specifically chose to wait until the curtains had closed on that trifle of a sale before coming here.
Employee: My apologies, then.
Rie: By the way…about the dress Mei is holding.
Employee: Mei-san would be…your friend over there?
Rie: The dress she’s holding right now is, um…how much?
Employee: That dress is 50,000 yen. [1]
Rie: (F-fifty thousand?!)
Employee: Will you be purchasing it?
Rie: U-um, hold on a second! I need to think about it…
Employee: If there is anything else you need, I would be glad to assist you.
Rie: (50,000 yen is a lot…but it seems Mei’s taken a liking to it…)
Rie returns to Mei.
Mei: Oh, Rie. What were you talking about with that employee?
Rie: Don’t worry about it. …Do you like that dress?
Mei: Yes. It matches well with some of the ones you have, don’t you think?

Rie: But really, where did all of that come from? Where did such passion simmer up from?
Manager: …Hey, what’s this about?
Mei: Her dream.
Manager: By dream, you mean like, from when she was sleeping?
Mei: Yes, that kind of dream.
Manager: Okay, because when you told me you needed to talk about your dream, I thought you meant your goal of becoming a seiyuu.
Rie: I never said it was about that.
Manager: Glad to know I didn’t need to treat it so seriously…
Mei: Here, have some tea.
Manager: Thanks. I’ll get going after I drink this.
Rie: In my dream, you treated me so coldly…you told me to go ahead and quit if that’s what I wanted to do.
Manager: I don’t even know what to say to that.
Mei: She’s been like this all day. It must have been a very lonely dream.
Rie: Manager, if…if I really did say I wanted to quit, what would you do? Would you stop me?
Manager: I guess it depends on the circumstances…
Rie: That’s what Mei said, too…so you wouldn’t stop me if I said it was because there was something else I wanted to do?

Manager: Yeah. I’d miss you if you quit being a seiyuu, but…

Rie: Well…I guess I can go back to bed now. I woke up in the middle of the night because of that dream, and I couldn’t fall back asleep afterwards.
Manager: It really got to you, huh…
Rie: Wait…I just remembered! It was the front entrance!
Mei: What about it?
Rie: Yesterday, I was on cleanup duty around the front entrance.
Rie: I was using the deck brush and I randomly thought about how it looked like those brushes they use in curling…
Mei: And that’s why you had a dream about it…?
Rie: Seems like it…well, that clears everything up. Now I can really go to sleep peacefully.
Mei: I’m glad. Have a good rest.
Rie: Thanks! I’m sure I’ll have much happier dreams this time.
