“Sshh, it’s okay. It will all be okay.”

“What if it won’t?” she asked crying in your arms for the 3rd time this week.

“It will be. I know you’re gonna make it. You’ve done great so far. You can do anything you put your mind to.” you whispered hugging her tighter.

Sooyoung was your best friend for 10 years now. You two had been inseparable until she decided to go her own way and apply for auditions of the most known entertainment company. It was not a surprise that she got accepted. She was always talented. A beautiful dreamy voice, a fairy-like beauty, and a lovable sweet and perfect soul. She was always beautiful. She was always perfect. She was always more than anyone else for you..

“You’re just saying everything will be alright because you’re my best friend. They don’t think like you do. They don’t like me. They hate me.”

“Sooyoung, don’t care about what they say. They don’t know you. They are just hating for nothing.”

“But I didn’t do anything. Why? I always try to do my best, why..”

She was having too much anxiety lately due to the backlash she was getting for nothing. You could sense her uneasiness even without having her talk to you. Trying to bring her mood up, you looked at her face and talked in a serious voice.

“Maybe because they have some stick up in their places, you are just perfect. I don’t trust anyone that does not like you!”

She laughed a bit at your serious and calm face while saying those things in a sassy manner. Hearing her laugh made you feel like flowers bloomed inside you.

“Just wait for me here okay? Oh and please don’t cry anymore..” you kissed her head and slowly got out of her arms. Walked to the bathroom and turned back to look at her before getting inside. She looked small.

You got inside the bathroom and closed the door behind. You had an idea that can make Sooyoung feel better so you just got yourself to work and turned the tap on.

After filling the bathtub with hot water, you put bath essences and oils to make it smell nice. After making sure that the bathroom was hot and was smelling nice enough to ease her nerves, you got out and went to her bedroom. You knew where her candles exactly were. So after taking them, you directed your way towards the kitchen to find a lighter.

“What are you doing?” called Sooyoung.

“You just wait! Stop right at where you are!” you answered.

After finding a lighter, you turned back to bathroom and lit the candles. You turned the light off and looked at the ambiance. Something was missing but what?..

Music! You remembered seeing a bluetooth speaker in her bedroom. Everything would be perfect after getting that too.

“Sooyoung!!” you called her. No answers. You went to get her to the bathroom. She was still sitting at the exact same spot and she still looked sad and small.

“Sooyoung, come on.”

“Huh?” she asked surprised as you held her arm and got her up from the couch.

“Just come with meeee!!!”

You would’ve stopped the time if you could to always be able to see her surprised face when she first stepped inside the bathroom.

“Y/n..”

“I remember your mom doing this for you whenever you felt sad. Well, not with the candles but with music and all, and I-”

Ah.. A nice scent surrounding you with arms around your neck.. You felt your heart beating in your chest.. One more time.. One more time again.

“Thank you so much..” you heard Sooyoung’s muffled voice between her sobs.

“It’s never a bother, have fun baby.”

“Oh, are you leaving?”

“Yeah, I thought it would be nicer for you..”

“Actually.. My mom always washed my hair while i sat down in the tub playing.. It helped me to feel better..”

You say what now?.. You couldn’t believe that she was actually asking you to stay here and wash her hair. It suddenly felt too intimate, it felt warm, it felt nice.

“Oh.. I can do that if you want..”

“Would you really?”

“Yes, i guess.”

“Thank you..”

“You go into the tub and call me after that, okay?”

“Yes.”

You got out of bathroom door and waited for her to call your name. Somehow it felt too nice, even though you were becoming even more shy with every passing second.

“Y/n! You can come in now.”

You could literally feel your heartbeats in your ears. Stepping into the bathroom again, you eyed her, completely unintentionally. She looked gorgeous, black long hair looking like a flower floating on the pink-ish water around her, making her look like a goddess in the heaven. All of your senses were screaming out of the pleasure the scene was giving you. It looked aesthetically perfect.

“Ahaha- umm.. Should I.. Should I wash your hair now?”

“Ah.. Yes.. Um.. It would be perfect.” she had a shy smile on her face.

The tension you both have was not something sexual, it was just because of having something this intimate for the first time. Why were you both so excited and shy around each other, again?

You slowly got close to her.

“Aah.. Umm.. Would you like some music?”

“Yes, yes it would be nice..”

You put on a song nice enough to make her feel like she was on a cloud. You saw her closing her eyes.

“O-okay.. I’m starting.”

“Hmm.”

You slowly combed her hair with your fingers, wetting it kindly. She started to hum along with the song. It again felt too intimate.

“You know, Sooyoung.. I always loved your voice.”

“I know, I can see it in the way you look at me. I appreciate it..”

“Ah, is that so?”

“Yes.”

The room fell silent again except for that beautiful song playing in the background.

“Y/n..”

“Yes?”

“How do you feel?”

“Right now? I feel nice. It’s a calming ambiance.” You shampooed her hair with gentle movements.

“That’s good to hear.”

Silence again.

“What about you? How do you feel?”

“Different.”

“Different? Is it not nice? Should I go?-”

“No! I mean.. It’s different but in a beautiful way. I have never felt this way before I guess..”

“Oh.. That’s what you mean..”

“Yes.”

“Well, it’s different for me too. Since it’s my first time doing something like this for a friend of mine.”

“Hmm… Is it a good kind of different?”

“Yes. I kinda loved it.” wow, you really couldn’t control your mouth now, could you?

“Yeah, I loved it too..”

Silence again.

“Y/n..”

“Yes?”

“Thank you for being here for me today, I- I really don’t know what I would have done without you. I would’ve probably be weeping still..”

“It’s nothing, Sooyoung. You would do the same for me.”

“Yes. Umm..”

“Hmm?”

“Y/n, do you also feel something different? I mean.. Between us?”

“Like what?” Yes, yes you were..

“Love.”

“I- I..”

She opened her eyes and turned her face to you, held your face in her slightly wet hands.

Your hand was still in her hair but you were amazed by her gaze. You two were looking at each other’s eyes.

“Do you, y/n?”

“I - I don’t know..”

“Is it okay if I act on mine?”

“Huh?”

She got closer to you, locking your eyes in hers.
