Congratulations, MYRTLE GAIL!

Myrtle Abigail Porlucas Sarrosa, widely known as Myrtle Gail, is one of the most popular cosplayers in the Philippines. She is an Otaku, a model and also a good singer. No wonder why she has got a lot of fans, because apart from being talented and gorgeous young lady, she also serves as a role model for everyone, an influential person and a compassionate leader. In fact, she is a Sangguniang Kabataan president in their hometown. 

On the 7th day of July 2012, she was crowned as the winner of the Philippine reality show, Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. Four finalists were presented for the big night - the twins Joy Agpangan and Jai Agpangan, the only male Roy Roquejo, the Mindoro girl Karen Reyes and the cosplay chic Myrtle Sarrosa, who garnered the fourth, third, second and first place, respectively. 

A lot of people attended the event. Each of them has their respective fandom to show their undying love and support for their idols. They've got big banners, tarpaulins and other ways of showing support. The fans screamed loudly while announcing the winner for the show, and even more loudly when they were about to announce the winner between Myrtle and Karen, so this means that the two remaining girls got the most number of text votes nationwide. Eventually, Myrtle was concluded as the winner for the big night. Hurray! 

As I have expected it would be, Myrtle definitely made for the final battle after her long stay at Bahay ni Kuya. Well, I don't intend to make such bias comments for her, because I know she really deserves it. She won not only because of how much fans she's got to vote for her. But of course, that wouldn't happen if she did not show to us her hardwork and perseverance as a youth which made us grabbed by her presence. I salute you, Myrtle. Despite those negative reactions/comments from your haters, you were able to stand your feet and be yourself as always. I am also grateful to my fellow fans of Myrtle who had continued their support. For the information of everybody, I do not hate anyone from the other finalists. I am not that shallow to argue with those negative comments and so on. I am matured enough to keep myself calm. I just congratulate Myrtle, and period, no bash for other fandoms. 

Myrtle is one of my favorite Filipino cosplayers. Even before she entered Pinoy Big Brother, I have seen how much she pursued so much as a cosplayer, from being an ordinary gorgeous young lady to being a successful cosplayer. I am amazed how she expresses her passion for the character whom she cosplays, because I can say that cosplaying is not only about having a detailed costume, but more on knowing the character, giving justice for the character, and that's how I made my decision to include her in my favorite cosplayer toplist because she would always give life for the character from being fictional into making them to the real world. For some cosplayers, they value much of the costume, and more likely, conscious of how they would look in front of those DSLR if they look pretty or not, but for Myrtle, as I have observed, she does not mind at all if she looks superb or not in front of those high quality lens, because I can say that what is important is how you put passion for any character you cosplay. 

It was during the Ozine fest 2011 when I first met Myrtle. That day, she was cosplaying as Lily from Vocaloid. She is really pretty, and the good thing is, she is approachable as many people have said. She smiles a lot which makes her even more beautiful. Even before I first saw her, I've heard a lot of positive feedbacks for this cosplay cutie, and in fact, I often browsed some of her amazing photos of her different cosplays. And also, she is a good friend of Ms. Ayumi Kassinique (also my favorite Filipino cosplayer) which is the very reason why I got connected to Myrtle, because I always view some of their photoshoots. They're both beautiful, really.

SO FLIPPIN' PISSED AND DISAPPOINTED.

Nakakainis kasi ang PBB kagabi eh. AS IN, SOBRAAAA.

Of all people, si Alec pa talaga ang na-evict? Meaning, out of all the great things Alec had done, and out of all the things he had proven na talagang tatag at hard-working siya while in the PBB House, pinili ng taong bayan na mapasok either si Myrtle or Karen sa BIG 4 over him? Eh honestly, parang mostly nakikita ko sa dalawang girls lately while in the house, ay ang pagka-PBB TEENS nila. Tapos naiwan pa talaga si Ryan. Ba't ba nila pinili si Ryan na magstay? Kasi gwapo siya, ganun? :(

Myrtle is responsible and pretty and talented and all, but- I'm sorry to say this- not as responsible as Alec. At kung maka PBB Teens, wagas. Tapos, sabi nila maarte na raw siya (sorry talaga sa opinions. I just can't take it anymore :[). Si Karen naman, mabait na lately, pero I haven't really seen her prove herself. And yeah, nung first few weeks, ang dami niyang nakaaway at naka PBB Teens. Papalit-palit ng lalake. Si Ryan rin, mabait SOMEHOW, at SOMEHOW responsible din, pero may kulang eh. And sorry to say this, pero parang play safe siya. At parang, di ko pa alam kung sino ba talaga siya. At nakaka-inis yung pagka PBB Teens niya.

Yung mga mostly nagawa ng tatlong teens na namention ko, hindi tama. Hindi iyon good influence para sa mga kabataang nanunood. Ngunit si Alec, siya yung tipong tao na good influence (AT SI ROY!). :(

May mga good things rin namang nagawa si Ryan, Myrtle at Karen, pero si Alec, mas marami. 

Sure na sure ako noon na papasok si Alec sa Big 4, BUT NO. Hindi siya nakapasok. WOW. GALING. CLAP CLAP. Sus, kung pinayagan lang akong bumoto sa PBB na iyan, iboboto ko na sana si Alec.

What happened to the phrase, "VOTE WISELY"?

My Big Winner: Roy Requeho

Alam niyo bakit? Kasi:

I don't think he wants the prizes, he needs them. Naghihirap siya at ang pamilya niya eh, kaya before siya sumali ng PBB, iba't ibang trabaho nalang kinukuha niya (TEENAGER PA SIYA HA). So, he really needs to win the prizes especially the prize money in order to support his family and give them a better life. 

He is responsible. Dahil siguro sa pinagdaanan niya sa buhay, mas nagiging responsable siya ano? At napapansin niyo ba na kung may task, talagang ang cooperative niya? Siya ang mostly nagluluto and etc. Ang sipag-sipag niya. AS IN WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Magaling siyang leader. Napapansin niyo rin ba na kung may task wherein Kuya asks the group to choose someone to do the last and hardest part of the task, they mostly choose Roy? Good leader na kasi ang turing ng housemates sa kanya eh, and I think they can trust him already.

He is a kind guy. He may be moody at times, but he knows his limitations. He gets emotional, and sometimes cries too. And yeah, may mga pagkakamali siya sa PBB House tulad nung food crisis thingy nila, pero out of all the Alpha G members, siya lang ang nag-admit ng faults niya.

He knows what's right from wrong. Napaka-rami kong complains about the housemates. Lalo na kapag umaandar ang pagkaPBB TEENS nila. And alam niyo, Roy is one of the very few housemates who's complains are also my complains. As in. Exact na exact. Lahat ng gusto kong masabi na reklamo, nasasabi niya. For example, nung nag-assemble sila ng domino, sabi niya, "Nawawalan kayo ng focus dahil sa love." at sabi niya rin na nasisira ang pag-aaral ng isang estudyante dahil sa early relationships. Nung narinig ko yung mga salitang iyon, I felt relieved todamax talaga! Pag may mga problema ang housemates, nabibigyan niya sila ng tamang advice. At kung may mga bad attitudes naman silang napapakita, parang, sinasabi/nacoconfront niya sila na mali ang mga bad attitudes na iyon.

So to top it all off, gusto ko maging Big Winner si Roy kasi he sets a good example for all the Filipino teens. Isa siyang good influence na kind of person. Hard-working na nga siya, mabait pa. At kahit may mga problema man siya, he never gives up and still finds time to smile and laugh.

Si Roy Requeho ay isang tunay na kabataang Pinoy.
