Rio I. Od okova do dokova u Božjem gradu - Priče iz Brazila 3.dio

Spuštam se busom u Rio.. Grad je ogroman i razbacan po okolnim brdima.. Uzbuđen sam da vidim i upoznam taj čuveni famozan grad o kojem su ispjevane mnoge pjesme, snimani mnogi filmovi, grad koji je često bio inspiracija za mnoge umjetnike, slikare, fotografe, pisce.. Sinonim za karneval, sambu, plaže, dobar provod, liberalizam, favele, ulične krađe i kriminal.. 

Dok autobus polako ulazi u periferni dio grada, u daljini se mogu vidjeti ozloglašene favele.. Svaki veći grad Brazila ima barem jednu svoju favelu, ali nekako su najpoznatije ove u Riu, možda i zbog popularnosti samoga grada. Smatra se da jedna četvrtina stanovništva Ria živi u favelama. U favele ne možete ući samo tako pa čak ni domaći ako nemate nekog poznatog i pouzdanog unutar favele koji će vam garantirati sigurnost. Favele su pod nadzorom šefova narko trafikanata i oni imaju apsolutnu vlast i moć unutar pojedinih favela. Njih se sve pita i oni su ti koji određuju pravila, zakone i davaju dopuštenja za određene aktivnosti i jao onome tko ih prekrši i izađe van njihovih okvira. Kazne za prekršaje određuju šefovi jer Vlada i policija nisu u stanju uspostaviti nadzor nad favelama. Favele su poprište bandi i dilera, često kontrolirane i čuvane vatrenim oružjem na samom ulazu kako nepoželjni ne bi zabadali nos.. Ni obična policija ne ulazi s oduševljenjem unutra jer bi i oni sami mogli najebat.. Unutra dolazi vrlo često do smrtonosnih obračuna bandi za prestiž i dominaciju lokaliteta te nadzor nad prodajom droge.. Kućice od karata napravljene usko jedna do druge pa često i jedna na drugoj, obično bez struje, vode i kanalizacije, okružene ogromnim količinama smeća.. Izgleda stvarno zastrašujuće kako ljudi uopće mogu živjeti ovdje u ovako teškim uvjetima.. Za vrijeme Svjetskog nogometnog prvenstva u Brazilu 2014. situacija se malo poboljšala. Vlada je čak besplatno uvodila struju i poboljšala komunalije. Djelomičnom poboljšanju situacije također je doprinijelo održavanje Ljetnih olimpijskih igara u Riu 2016. Uvedeni su tzv. socijalni policajci koji su ušli među stanovnike favele kako bi im pokušali pomoći oko socijalizacije, školovanja, pronalaženja radnih mjesta. Nakon završetka olimpijskih igara u dosta slučajeva stvari su se vratile na staro, no neke favele su se malo normalizirale i čak postoje turističke ture s vodičima koji su ponikli od tamo i imaju dobre odnose sa šefovima favela i time vam jamče određenu sigurnost dok ste s njima. Neke favele nude čak i smještaj za turiste u takozvanim pousadas i na taj način možete osjetiti njihovu pravu atmosferu i bančiti po noćnim partijima koji su kako kažu tamo najbolji.. U svakom slučaju iz favela se pruža najbolji pogled na poznate pješčane plaže Ria kao što su Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon. Najveća favela Ria, Brazila i čak i cijele Južne Amerike je Rocinha koja se nalazi u južnom dijelu Ria. Procjenjuje se da u njoj živi preko 130 000 stanovnika.  Zamislite si da je naš hrvatski grad Rijeka kompletno jedna favela :)..

Sami grad Rio de Janeiro znači u prijevodu Siječanjska ili Januarska rijeka, a kažu da je ime dobio kada su portugalski moreplovci ušli u zaljev Guanabara te pomislili da se nalaze na ušću neke velike rijeke. Mada su se u to vrijeme takve velike vodene površine koje ulaze u kopno nazivale rio.. Bus dolazi na jedan od autobusnih kolodvora Ria, Novo Rio Bus Terminal. Taksisti kao stršljeni salijeću mene i ostale putnike kako bi dobili malo posla. Mislim da sam barem 20 puta izgovorio não, obrigado, što znači ne hvala, kako bih odbio uporne taksiste. Ja se uzdam u svoj mobitel i Google Maps te na taj način vrlo lako mogu naći način kojim linijama javnog transporta mogu doći do konkretne lokacije, u ovom slučaju niskobudžetnog hotela koji se nalazi na 3-4 kilometara od autobusnog kolodvora. Da nemam tako velik ruksak odlučio bih propješačiti do hotela. Još drugi dan nakon mog dolaska u Brazil kupio sam brazilsku SIM karticu za mobitel i stavio neku siću kako bih imao dostupnost internetu. Ovako mogu vrlo lako rješavati ovakve slične transportne probleme, kupovati karte za prijevoz online, i ujedno cijelo vrijeme uvijek imati internetsku vezu da mogu komunicirati s ljudima ako zapadnem u nekakve probleme što je u Brazilu vrlo izgledno.. Sustav javnog transporta je poprilično kompliciran kada trebate kupiti kartu, pogotovo ako trebate metro liniju. Postoje neke vrste gradskih transportnih kartica čiji saldo možete nadopunjavati samo na određenim automatima kojih ima samo na određenim mjestima i na automatima koji samo razumiju portugalski :).. Prava je noćna mora kako jednostavne stvari mogu uistinu biti komplicirane..

Smještaj u kojem ću odsjesti četiri noći nalazi se pored Trga Republike, Praça da República. U sredini trga je park Campo de Santana koji nije dobio ime po meksičkom svjetski poznatom gitaristu Carlosu Santani nego po crkvi koja je nekad bila ovdje u blizini. Ovo mjesto je od važnog povijesnog i geografsko-prometnog značaja. Nekada je ovdje u kolonijalno doba bila močvara te se s vremenom ovaj prostor počeo koristiti kao javni prostor. Bio je granica između centra grada i ruralnih područja. Nažalost danas je ovaj lijepi park mjesto mnogih beskućnika kojima se isto sviđa ovaj miješan ambijent prirode i kulture, no preko dana nije posebno opasno prošetati se parkom. Crkva je srušena sredinom 19. stoljeća da bi se tu napravila prva željeznička stanica u Brazilu nazvana po posljednjem brazilskim caru Dom Pedro II. Sada je to centralna stanica gradskog prijevoza Central do Brasil s koje možete na sve strane grada bezbrojnim autobusnim i željezničkim linijama. Oko Trga Republike izgrađene su neke važne javne zgrade kao Palacio do Conde dos Arcos koja je bila sjedište brazilskog senata skoro sto godina, a sada je ovdje Pravni fakultet, zgrada brazilske kovnice novca, zgrada zapovjedništva vojske, stara Gradska vijećnica, zgrada vojnih vatrogasaca, Zgrada MEC radija, crkva svete Marije i crkva São Gonçalo Garcia.

Hotel nije na nekom luksuznom mjestu ali je idealna polazna točka prema znamenitostima u centru do kojih mogu doći pješke, blizu je kvarta Lape gdje se nalaze brojni klubovi za noćni provod, blizu je svih transportnih gradskih linija prema svim stranama grada i na 100 m udaljenosti od stanice metroa. Ostavljam stvari i odlazim do zalogajnice na uglu gdje možete dobiti tanjur dobre porcije hrane za cca. R$ 15 u ovakvim ne baš udarnim turističkim zonama. Punog želuca odlazim prema centru da se upoznam sa znamenitostima koje se nalaze u ovom dijelu grada. Sami centar Ria ne odaje tu toplinu koju sam očekivao. Puno poslovnih visokih modernih zgrada te raskošnih palača jedne pored drugih. Pogotovo se taj spoj može vidjeti na prostranom i povijesno važnom trgu, Praça Quinze de Novembro. Datum 15. novembar označava datum proglašenja republike Brazila koji se dogodio 1889. godine. Okružen je povijesnim zgradama Palacio Tiradentes koje je sjedište Zakonodavne skupštine Rio de Janeiro i Paço Imperial (Imperijalna palača) iz 18. stoljeća.  Tu su i dvije crkve jedna do druge, crkva od Gospe od stare katedrale Carmo i crkva reda Terceira do Carmo. Ovdje se vidi i osjeća da je Rio nekada bio glavni grad Brazila pa je čak u vrijeme napoleonskih ratova bio glavni grad Portugala do 1822. kada je Dom Pedro I. proglasio nezavisnost Brazila. Kraljevska obitelj na čelu s kraljem João VI., bježala je pred Napoleonom i tako je Rio bio, i za sada ostao, jedina europska prijestolnica izvan Europe. Na trgu se nalazi konjanički spomenik izbjeglom kralju Dom João VI. kao i spomenik João Cándido. João Cándido bio je mornar afričkog porijekla čiji su roditelji bili robovi. Sudjelovao je u pobuni u mornarici poznatoj kao "Revolt biča" gdje se s nekim ostalim članovima posade pobunio protiv kažnjavanja bičevanjem afro-brazilskih mornara od strane bijelih mornaričkih časnika. Svake subote ovdje se održava najveći sajam antikviteta u Južnoj Americi s 350 štandova.

Na ovome trgu su se u početku iskrcavali robovi koji su bili transportirani iz Afrike, i to iz Angole, Konga i Mozambika, i tako su u okovima pod fijukanjem bičeva bili stavljeni bijelim ljudima na prodaju. 

Kasnije 1811. napravili su drugu luku, pristanište Valongo (Cais do Valongo), koja je malo perifernije od Praça Quinze de Novembro jer cijenjena i profinjena gospodska elita nije mogla gledati gole afričke robove, njihovu patnju, bol i jad, kada su ih iskrcavali iz brodova. Robovi koji su brodovima putovali preko Atlantika, dolazili su u teškom stanju, izmučeni, ozljeđeni, bolesni i neuhranjeni. Postojale su kuće za oporavak, "Largo de Depósito", kako bi se robovi uhranili i bolje izgledali te bi se tako mogli prodati za višu cijenu. Tijekom djelovanja Valongo pristaništa 1774 - 1831, procijenjuje se da je tu stiglo 500 000 - 700 000 afričkih robova. Transatlantska trgovina robljem zabranjena je 1831. i Valongo pristanište je službeno zatvoreno, no trgovina robljem u Brazilu trajala je i dalje ilegalno još naredno desetljeće, a ropstvo je napokon ukinuto 1888. 

Cijeli ovaj dio nazvan je Mala Afrika (Pequena Africa). Oslobođeni robovi ostajali su ovdje kako bi radili i mogli preživjeti. Ostali oslobođeni robovi iz drugih regija, najviše iz Bahije, također su dolazili ovdje u potrazi za poslom. Ovdje su bili velikodušno dočekani i primljeni te su mogli dobiti određeni osjećaj zajednice i pripadništva. Pedra do Sal, mjesto koji se nalazi u Maloj Africi je najstariji kontinuirano naseljeni crnački kvart i mjesto gdje danas dolaze turisti te je vrlo snažan izvor afro-brazilske kulture. Ovo je prvo mjesto koje je počelo prakticirati demokraciju u Brazilu. Ime je dobilo po velikom kamenu gdje se prodavala sol, a sami veliki kamen služio je za sušenje soli. Upravo ovdje bilo je mjesto gdje je nastala samba, a svirali su je i plesali ljudi koji su radili na dokovima. Uz sambu došao je i karneval koji je postao najvažniji događaj u Brazilu. Događaj koji mami milijune turista iz cijeloga svijeta i definitivno je jedna od najpopularnijih manifestacija na svijetu. Ovo je mjesto koje je možda i najsnažnije utjecalo na cijelu današnju kulturu Rio de Janeira i generalno većeg dijela Brazila.. Mjesto koje objašnjava stil života Carioca tj. žitelja Ria i dušu ovog posebnog grada. Prilikom obnove luke 2011. za potrebe Olimpijskih igara u Riu 2016., pronađeni su ostaci tog pristaništa i mjesta gdje se trgovalo crnim robljem iz Afrike. Iskopane su brojne amajlije i obredni predmeti afričkih robova. Zbog važnosti Valongo pristaništa, lokalitet je zajedno sa trgom Jornal do Comércio upisan 2017. na UNESCO-v popis mjesta svjetske baštine u Amerikama kao najvažniji fizički trag dolaska afričkih robova na američko tlo. Ispod prve nastale favele Ria, koja se zove Providenca, prostire se Ulica Rua do Valongo u kojoj su se nekada također nalazile kuće za oporavak i kratku rehabilitaciju robova prije njihove prodaje na Valongo tržnici.

Prilikom građevinskih radova 1996. vrlo blizu Valongo pristaništa pronađeno je groblje Cemiterio Pretos Negros gdje je sahranjeno 20 000 - 30 000 crnih muškaraca i žena koji nisu preživjeli putovanje brodovima preko Atlantika i umrli su u kratkom vremenu nakon dolaska u Rio de Janeiro. Bili su bačeni u masovnu grobnicu zajedno sa smećem i ostacima hrane. Groblje je zatvoreno 1831. kada je trgovina robljem formalno završila u Brazilu.

1906. arhitekt Luis Rei napravio je Viseći park s antičkim skulpturama, drvećem, terasom, cvijećem i ostalim ukrasima kao pokušaj da se izblijedi nasilna i brutalna povijest ovog mjesta. 

Favela Providencia je najstarija favela u Rio de Janeiru koja je nastala kada su se vojnici Canudosovog rata vratili u grad i tu se nastanili. Canudosov rat bio je kratak i brutalan građanski rat na sjeveroistoku Brazila u pokrajini Bahia krajem 19. stoljeća. U početku kvart se zvao Morro de favela, nazvan po igličastoj biljci favela koja raste na neplodnom teritoriju Brazila u najlošijim klimatskim uvjetima. Vjerojatno je baš ta biljka i okruženje u kojem raste dobra usporedba sa životnim uvjetima ovakvog kvarta koji je dobio jednako ime. Favela je rasla dolaskom oslobođenih robova i drugih siromašnih doseljenika. Zadnjih 30-tak godina poprište je nasilja između narko bandi i policije te između samih narko bandi. Poslane su posebne policijske jedinice UPP da se obračunaju sa šefovima bandi kako bi se situacija pokušala stabilizirati. Jedan od dijelova programa za smirivanje situacije bila je izgradnja žičare "Teleferico" koja je izgrađena 2014. i imala je za cilj lakše povezivanje stanovnika favela s urbanim dijelovima grada. Prilikom njezine izgradnje uklonjeno je oko 800 domova. 

Vraćam se prema centru i opuštam se uz pivo u Arco do Teles. To je kolonijalni dio Ria s uskim šarmantnim uličicama prepunih kafića i restorana. Skupljam snagu kako bih sutra bio spreman za Copacabanu :)

Daniel Camargo Barbosa (1930-1994)

Daniel Camargo Barbosa, also known as Manuel Bulgarin Solis, was a Colombian serial killer who, it is believed, raped and killed up to 150 young girls in Colombia and Ecuador during the 1970s-1980s. He was born on January 22, 1930, in Anolaima, Cundinamarca, Colombia. His mother died when he was young and his had an emotionally distant, overbearing father, who remarried. His stepmother was abusive and would punish him by dressing him in girls’ clothing, which made him a target for bullying from his peers. His first arrest was in Bogota on May 24, 1958, for petty theft.

Camargo had a serious relationship with a woman called Alcira and the couple had 2 children. He fell in love with a woman named Esperanza, whom he planned to marry, but found out she wasn’t a virgin – this triggered an obsession. Esperanza and Camargo made a pact that he would stay with her if she helped to find other virgin girls to have sex with. This began their time as partners in crime, with Esperanza luring young girls to an apartment using ruses and lies, and drugging them with sodium seconal sleeping pills so Camargo could rape them. He committed 5 rapes in this manner, but didn’t kill any of the girls. The 5th child that was abused by the couple reported the crime and both Camargo and Esperanza were arrested and taken to separate prisons. Camargo was convicted of sexual assault in Colombia on April 10, 1964. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and he was initially grateful for this, swearing he would repent and change his ways. A new judge was then given precedence over the case and Camargo was sentenced to 9 years in prison, which angered Camargo and provoked him to rebel. He served his full sentence before being released.

In 1973 Camargo was arrested in Brazil for being undocumented. Because of a delay in sending Camargo’s criminal records from Colombia he ended up being deported and released with his false identity. When he returned to Colombia he started working as a street vendor in Barranquilla selling TV monitors. One day, when he passed a school, he kidnapped a 9-year-old, raping her and murdering her so she couldn’t inform police as his previous victim had. This was Camargo’s first assault involving murder. He was arrested on May 3, 1974 in Barranquilla, Colombia, when he went back to the scene of the crime to recover the TV screens he had forgotten next to the victim. Even though it is believed that he raped and killed more than 80 girls in Colombia, he was imprisoned after being convicted of raping and killing a 9-year-old girl. Initially sentenced to 30 years in prison, his sentence was reduced to 25 years and he was interned in the prison on the island of Gorgona, Colombia on December 24, 1977.

In November of 1984 Camargo escaped from Gorgona prison (known as the Colombian Alcatraz) in a rudimentary boat after studying the ocean currents – the authorities assumed that he had died at sea and the press reported he was eaten by sharks. He arrived in Quito, Ecuador, then travelling by bus to Guayaquil on December 5, 1984. On December 18 he kidnapped a 9-year-old girl from Quevedo in Los Rios, Ecuador. The following day a 10-year-old girl disappeared. Between 1984 and 1986 Camargo committed at least 54 rapes/murders in Guayaquil, police at first believing that all the deaths were the work of a gang, not understanding how a man could have killed so many people alone. He slept on the streets and lived off the money he could gain by reselling ballpoint pens in the street. Occasionally he would supplement his income by selling clothes or small valuables which belonged to his victims.

Camargo would target young helpless girls who were poor and looking for work. He approached them, pretending he was a foreigner who needed to find a Protestant pastor in a church outside town, explaining that he needed to deliver a large amount of money (which he would show them to back up his ruse) and offering them a reward if they would go with him to show him the way. He would claim to be a stranger to the area, hinting at the possibility of the girls getting a job at the factory. Nobody was suspicious of an older man accompanying a young girl who could be his daughter/granddaughter. Camargo would then go into the woods, claiming to be looking for a shortcut. If the girls would grow suspicious he didn’t prevent them from leaving. He would rape his victims before strangling them, often stabbing them if they resisted. After his victims were dead he left their bodies in the forest to be picked clean by scavenger animals.

Daniel Camargo was arrested by a pair of policemen in Quito on February 26th, 1986, just minutes after he killed a 9-year-old girl called Elizabeth. They were on patrol and approached him, thinking he was acting suspiciously. They found out he was carrying a bag containing the bloody clothes and severed clitoris of his latest victim, as well as a copy of Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky. He was taken into custody and later relocated to Guayaquil for identification. He gave a false name upon his arrest (Manuel Bulgarin Solis) but was later identified by one of his rape victims who escaped. He confessed to the murder of 72 girls in Ecuador since escaping from the prison in Colombia. He took authorities to the dumping grounds of the victims who hadn’t yet been discovered. They had been dismembered. While he told the Ecuadorian authorities about the locations of the bodies and how sadistic his crimes were, he showed no remorse. After raping his victims he hacked, slashed and crushed them with a machete. When asked why he chose children, he said he wanted virgins “because they cried”, which gave him more satisfaction. According to Camargo he killed in order to get revenge on woman’s unfaithfulness – he hated them for not being what he thought they should be.

In June 1986 Francisco Febres Cordero, journalist for the newspaper Hoy, arranged an interview with Camargo. It wasn’t easy to get the interview as police were attempting to block all access to Camargo, and Camargo demanded a large fee before letting himself be interviewed. The journalist pretended he was part of a group of psychologists that were allowed access to the prisoner, which enabled him to ask Camargo questions without arousing his suspicion. He was convicted in 1989 and sentenced to 16 years in prison, the maximum sentence available in Ecuador. While serving his sentence in the Garcia Moreno de Quito jail he claimed he had converted to Christianity. In this penitentiary he was imprisoned with Pedro Alonso Lopez (“The Monster of the Andes”), who is believed to have raped and killed more than 300 girls in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. In November 1994 he Camargo was murdered in prison by Geovanny Noguera, nephew of one of his victims.

“mis brazos serán cuerdas”

Pesquisando sobre inclusão social, assisti ao curta-metragem “Cuerdas”, que foi o vencedor de melhor curta metragem em animação do Prêmio Goya em 2014, a maior premiação de cinema espanhol. Ele foi escrito e dirigido por Pedro Solis Garcia, que abertamente já divulgou que o roteiro é inspirado na relação de amor e carinho construída entre seus seus dois filhos: Alejandra e Nicholás.

Um curta-metragem de menos de 11 minutos, que pode ser assistidido pelo youtube e que afirmo com absoluta certeza que vai caminhar comigo a partir de hoje.

O filme conta a história de Maria, uma menina que vive em um orfanato e que ganha um novo colega de sala de aula portador de paralisia cerebral. E, diferente de seus colegas, é a única a ter interesse a fazer amizade com o pequeno Nicolás As cenas ao longo do curta são de uma sensibilidade impecável, em que tu assiste e se emociona com cada brincadeira que Maria reinventa para o seu novo amigo se sentir incluído e se divertir com ela.

No curta mertragem eles pulam corda, brincam de encenar histórias, jogam futebol e até dançam valsa, além de criar uma ligação de amizade, aceitação incondicional e uma empatia de comover qualquer um que reserva um tempo para assisti-los. Mostrando que através do olhar de uma criança, todos podem ser iguais e que vencer as dificuldades as vezes pode ser só uma questão de criatividade.

O final da história consegue ser mais emocionante que o contexto todo, mostrando a importância do educar e da relação que se estabelece entre o ensino e a aprendizagem. Fico pensando que o nosso papel em sala de aula é o mesmo. O de reconfigurar e reconstruir exercícios para que a informação possa chegar a todos à sua maneira. E que todos nós tenhamos paciência para encontrar um pouquinho da Maria dentro da gente.

WASHINGTON | Kemp helps Dodgers rally past Nats, sweep doubleheader

WASHINGTON — Matt Kemp had a pinch-hit, two-run double in the ninth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers survived a sterling performance by Max Scherzer to beat the Washington Nationals 5-4 on Saturday night and sweep a day-night doubleheader.

Scherzer struck out 13 in seven innings, and Washington led 4-3 entering the ninth. But closer Sean Doolittle (1-2) allowed singles to Austin Barnes and Logan Forsythe, and Kemp then hit a line drive to the wall in left field to score them both.

Erik Goeddel (3-0) worked a scoreless eighth in his Dodgers debut. He was acquired off waivers on Friday from the Seattle Mariners, for whom he was 2-0 in five appearances. Kenley Jansen worked the ninth for his eighth save in 10 opportunities and his second on the day.

The Dodgers used eight pitchers. Starter Rich Hill threw just two pitches before leaving with a recurrence of the blister on his left middle finger that has already put him on the disabled list twice this season.

In the first game, Ross Stripling struck out a career-high nine in six strong innings and Max Muncy drove in two runs as the Dodgers won 4-1. The Nationals lost left fielder Howie Kendrick to a right Achilles tendon injury in the eighth inning of the opener.

Scherzer became the fastest pitcher in major league history to amass 100 strikeouts in a season, reaching the milestone in 63 innings. He has fanned 104 batters total and struck out 10 or more batters for the seventh time in 10 starts. He has allowed two or fewer runs in 13 consecutive starts, tying a franchise record set by Pedro Martinez when the team played in Montreal.

Washington didn’t have a hit until the bottom of the sixth, when Trea Turner opened with a double off the wall in right-center — his only hit in nine at-bats on the day — to kick off a four-run rally.

Mark Reynolds had an RBI double and pinch-hitter Matt Adams smacked a two-run single before Scherzer squeezed a grounder up the middle to make it 4-2. He is hitting .292 with three RBIs.

Scherzer came back out for the seventh, and it was the only inning in which he didn’t strike out a batter. He induced a double-play grounder from Muncy on his 121st and final pitch.

Muncy drove in both of Los Angeles’ runs off Scherzer with a solo homer in the fifth and an RBI single in the first.

Cody Bellinger hit his seventh homer this season in the eighth, a blast to center off Sammy Solis that cut Washington’s lead to one run.

A PROPER DEBUT

Catcher Spencer Kieboom made his season debut and first major league start for Washington in the opener. He got his first career hit on the first pitch he saw. Kieboom’s only previous major league appearance was in the final game of the 2016 season, when he walked in his only plate appearance.

Nationals: The team did not detail the extent of Kendrick’s Achilles injury. Manager Dave Martinez said Kendrick would have an MRI, and the veteran was in uniform in the dugout during the nightcap, wearing a protective boot on his right foot. … OF Rafael Bautista, who appeared in nine games for Washington this season, suffered a serious left knee injury during a collision in the outfield while playing for Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday night, Martinez said. Bautista will have surgery and miss the rest of the season. … IF Adrian Sanchez was brought up from Syracuse to be the 26th man for the second game.

Dodgers: LHP Clayton Kershaw (left bicep tendinitis) will be back “in the near term,” Roberts said. Stripling said the Dodgers’ ace, whose spot in the rotation he has been occupying, was “set to throw a bullpen here pretty soon.” … LHP Tony Cingriani (left shoulder inflammation) was activated from the 10-day disabled list, and LHP Adam Liberatore was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City. … Goeddel joined the Dodgers for the second game, and ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte was optioned to Oklahoma City. … RHP Yimi Garcia was the 26th man for the second game. Casi 13 de 100 muertes son atribuidas a parada cardíaca, muerte súbita en RD.

La Sociedad Dominicana de Cardiología reveló que el 12,5 % de las muertes que se registran en el país son  muerte súbita que es la aparición repentina e inesperada de una parada cardíaca en una persona que aparentemente se encuentra sana y en buen estado

En ese sentido, la entidad médica exhortó a  la población a revisarse con un médico especialista antes de realizar cualquier rutina de ejercicios y recomienda a las personas  crear hábitos que generen un estilo de vida saludable.

 Agregó que es necesario que los dominicanos tomen conciencia sobre el cuidado para prevenir las enfermedades cardiovasculares, que en la mayoría de los casos degenera en una muerte súbita o un ataque al corazón.

Ante esta problemática Sociedad Dominicana de Cardiologíay con el fin de llevar informaciones actualizadas  realizará la IV jornada sobre muerte súbita donde alrededor de 20 especialistas nacionales  e internacionales  abordarán el tema  y disertaran sobre los últimos avances relacionados al abordaje de la muerte súbita cardíaca y prevención de la MSC en el atleta.

La actividad se  celebrará como una forma de generar impacto a nivel del gremio médico, cardiólogos, estudiantes, médicos pasantes y residentes tendrán la oportunidad de nutrirse de conocimientos sobre el tema.

El encuentro se  llevará  a cabo el jueves 26 y viernes 27 en el Hotel Embassy Suit Hotel del Distrito Nacional  y disertaran los cardiólogos  Carmen Encarnación, Junior Cedano, Wilson Ramírez, Jacqueline Díaz, Pedro Díaz, Josué Pichardo, Pura Henríquez, Bolívar Tejada, Carlos Cuello, Eduardo Lomba, Vizmary Pineda, Dulce Garcia, Frank Valdez, Elaine Núñez, Fernando Vidal, Pablo Smester. Así, como los expertos internacionales Viviana Navas, Leonardo Liberman, Luis Molinary.
