Kirigiri, Naegi, Byakuya and Touko are workers of a private detective agency. Kyoko is the best detective there, and she resolved not less than a half of mysteries that the whole agency ever worked on. But her main mission - to discover, who stands behind all crimes that happends in this city. Naegi is her assistent, who helps her a lot. At first nobody thougt that he can be useful because of his naivity and carelessness, but suddenly his duet with Kirigiri became two times more powerful then Kyoko by herself! Togami is an owner of the agency. He can help with cases sometimes, because he’s also not such a bad detective (of course he’s not as good as Kyoko, isn’t it obvious). Actually, everything he care about is money wich will be payed for a work,not about justice or someting like that. Fukawa is Byakuya’s secretary, and she madly in love with him. Her free times she spends on writing low-quality romancy books. And, as in the game, she has a second murderous personality, but she succsessfully keeps it in secret. She controls herself really hard, and she didn’t perform any murder since she started to work in the agency. Nobody knows about her dark past but Kirigiri, who discovered that she was a killer with the power of her deduction. She tells nobody, even Naegi about that fact, because she doesn’t want to betray her friend. Sayaka is a singer in pub, and Leon is a piano  player there. Maizono is really talented, and she wants a bigger fame. Leon is a musican, but at night he steals wallets of unlucky passers using his baseball bat. He wish he could stop, but piano doesn’t gives him enough money for live. Sayaka knows about his crimes, and she hates it, so it gives Leon even more motivation to do away with thefts. Sakura and Aoi are steet wrestlers! And Sakura is pretty famous in her own field. But her family was taken as hostages by local mafia, and it forces her to work for criminals. As a very strong person, she must to do a dirty tough work to keep her family alive. Aoi doesn’t know about it, and Sakura hides this sad fact. Chihiro works in police with documets in office. He’s a friend of Kyoko, so sometimes he helps her with cases, because he has an acsess to police’s files and cases, despite its not allowed to share them with people who don’t work there. He tries a lot to be helpful to everyone.  Taka is a regullar policeman, who works on Mondo’s cases. Mondo is a bikers’ gang leader holly shit ROCKABILLY . The gang terrorizes the whole city by committing theft and making fights. Of course, at first they hated each other, but they became best bros after knowing each other better, finding out that their morals are pretty common despire Oowada is a criminal and Ishimatu is a policeman. They both have like???? Some kind of  honor and dignity, and that what their friendship is all about in this AU. After some time, when they became close enough, Mondo confessed to Taka that he arranged a crash injury that kill his own broter. This awful fact gave Ishimaru a dilleme: on the one hand, the culprit must be punished, on the other hand, the culprit is his best friend. Also Chihiro, while being an Ishimaru’s coworker and good friend, uses information about criminal world that Taka gets from Mondo for the sake of doing his oun  investigation of the disclosure of the identity of the head of the mafia, while Ishimaru is just?????? tries his best not to go off the rails because of moral pressure. Hifumi works in tea shop, and he owed a lot of money to Celestia, so it’s easy for her to manipulate him. She gives him work like spying, because he looks trustable and innocent, or some kind of butler things. He’s probably into comics’ very hard. Celestia is well-known professional gambler, everybody recognizes her in every casino. She loves 20′ths style and fashion. Celestia hides her real name not only because of aestathetic, but because she needs to protect herself to be found by police or people wich she went bankrupt. Hagakure is a fake clairvoyant, a tarot expert, for a small fee he’s ready to tell the future to any passerby. Long time ago, he lost everything in casino to Celestia, so now he live a hobo’s life and reads the cards for a dime. Junko is a very famous model, who visits every notable event. But actually, she is the one who rules mafia in the city. She is a target of the police and the detectives. Mukuro is Junko’s loyal bodyguard who follows her everywhere. One of the side effects I think will happen in your rmf byakuya style, is that Byakuya actually learns to be a better brother to Rukia thanks to being around Ichigo and her sisters.

For lets just face it, at the start of bleach (both in the anime and the manga) he wasn't exactly good at it thanks to how he was raised and all that. Though I found how protective he is of her endearing, they guy real needed some help in the big brother department.

Oh yeah absolutely. Ichigo catches Byakuya's attention and he wants her and her love, wants that warmth he sees being wrapped around her sisters to be spread just a little further for him.

So it's a natural byproduct that, by being so focused on Ichigo, Byakuya automatically starts adjusting how he treats Rukia in turn.

At first he barely even realizes it and then by the time Rukia actually works up the guts to say something to him he realizes that he's been doing some form of "what would Ichigo do?" whenever he interacts with her.

muramasa causes a mess shortly after ichigo kicks isshin out

bc gotei 13 is kinda a fucking joke of course this problem spills out of seireitei and into rukongai proper

which makes it a threat to yuzu and karin

and that is unacceptable

so ichigo pokes around and finds (and finds out about) muramasa

and she kicks his ass bc

"yeah your wielder is a dick and you deserve better but you can also fucking leave at any time and make things better unlike other zanpakutos so why don't you get off your ass and find someone to appreciate you"

and muramasa takes that as the invitation that it most certainly was not and moves into ichigo's mind

(the only upside is that when ichigo finds out that he (and now zangetsu) can become physical she realizes she has an extra set of hands for work and can make more money to take care of the twins)

Oh I love this. And it fits so well and would absolutely impact how Ichigo acts towards Byakuya because she realizes he's a Kuchiki and is immediately suspicious that he's somehow found out about Muramasa.

Only no, Byakuya is just smitten and when he does find out she's harboring one of the most infamous Kuchiki zanpakuto spirits in history he's just even more gone than before.

Ichigo gets Muramasa and shelters him in her soul and the moment Byakuya finds out he's even more gone. She's housing a Kuchiki zanpakuto of staggering power alongside her own unique makeup.

She really is exceptional in every way and he will have her.

Okay but hear me out. Ichigo kicks his dad out for something bad, I dunno starting his shit with the girls or something awful like that. So now we have single teenage parent Ichigo. Along comes a beautiful bastard that takes one look at the happy, close little trio and covets that like nothing ever before. Cue Yandere supernatural bastard that is a dark, scary thing that’ll burn the world down for them if they only ask. Kisuke Grimm orAizen. But someone totally badass with the power to prove it.

Oh oh maaaan I like this. I like this a lot.

I think I’d want it to be a Soul Society!AU too and I could see it being either Kisuke, Aizen (wow a AU I could actually do with this bitch), or fucking Byakuya (since I’ve not done anything with him being darker but y’all’d have to let me know what you’d prefer cause all three are a valid option).

But either way Ichigo snaps early on and forces Isshin out of the house and out of her, Karin, and Yuzu’s lives.  It was one thing when he was attacking Ichigo, trying to “toughen her up for the Academy” but it’s another thing when Isshin turned even a single bit of that attention towards Yuzu or Karin.

That is something Ichigo will not allow.

Former Captain and Shiba Clan member or not Isshin leaves when Ichigo makes her point and then presses.

So now Ichigo’s young with two baby sisters to raise on her own. But then she’s been raising them since she was a kid herself anyways so it’s really not all that different.

Ichigo does what she has to.  She can’t leave them alone to go to the Academy even if she wants to so she just kind of shrugs and sets that idea aside.  Maybe in the future once they’re settled on life paths of their own there will be time for what Ichigo wants.

But not now, not yet.

So time passes and she takes odd jobs around the district, puts her extremely impressive strength and the fact that she has a zanpaktou despite not attending the Academy to use hunting down Hollows on the sly to help support her family.

It’s hard but her sisters smile now, she can sleep without worrying about how Isshin will wake her up, they have a life together, the three of them.

It’s humble and it hurts Ichigo sometimes but it’s happy

So, it’s worth it, the pattern of work/battle/blood/family that her life’s fallen into.  The too little food she gets sometimes, the too little rest she’s learned to live with.

It’s all worth it.

What she’s not expecting is the day she, fresh from battle and running on her version of fumes, literally walks right into a obviously powerful Shinigami’s chest.

There’s some words exchanged, Yuzu and Karin make an appearance, and then Ichigo hustles them away.  She doesn’t expect to see the Shinigami ever again.

Only she does. Over and over again.  Ichigo keeps seeing him.

And then the gifts start and Ichigo … well Ichigo isn’t sure what to think after that.

So I was thinking about the Byakuya version of rmf and well... Rukia noticing something off about her nii-sama and trying to follow him but he keeps losing her until one day she manages to track him down in the Rukongai watching a tall lady with orange hair kick someone through a wall

Rukia, who watches her nii-sama so closely all of the time, is actually the first person to realize that something has changed with Byakuya.

There’s a brightness to his eyes she’s never seen before, an intensity to him that’s still intimidating but is also a step away from his normal icy demeanor.

After a few days and then weeks go by with him still being off and then the curiosity is finally too much for Rukia to handle anymore and she goes to the next closest person to nii-sama, Renji.

Only Renji has noticed something different too but he also has no idea what’s going on.  All he knows is that Byakuya came back from a routine patrol a few weeks back a grand total of six hours passed schedule and he’s been different ever since then.

So of course they both decide that the only option is to find out for themselves what’s going on.

Except, of course, that would require actually being able to keep up with and/or catch Byakuya.

But they try, oh do they try, and it takes weeks before the manage to catch a break and that’s only because they happen to be out in Rukongai on their own when they notice him passing through the crowd from a distance.

“We need to follow him,” Rukia hisses out of the side of her mouth, immediately crouching down around the corner of a building like Byakuya might see her even from so far away and despite his back being turned to them.

But then, it’s Byakuya so maybe he could.

So they creep along at a distance and feel their confusion grow and grow as Byakuya moves further and further away from Seireitei.

Then it happens, there’s a commotion up ahead, screaming and arguing, and instead of moving forward like they both expect him to Byakuya moves to the side and stays put.

There’s a focus on his face then that Rukia’s never seen outside of battle.

And that focus only sharpens even further when there’s another yell and a man goes sailing through the wall of one of the local shops and lands in a heap on the ground only a few feet away from where Byakuya is standing.

Most of the people out and about don’t even flinch, just step around or even over the man, but Byakuya is obviously riveted.

Only he’s not looking at the man, instead he’s looking at the hole in the shop wall.

Rukia follows his line of sight then and gets a good look at what, at who, her dignified nii-sama is staring at so intently and she is stunned. And, from the dropped jaw of Renji beside her, she’s not the only one.

Because Byakuya is staring at a woman.

She’s tall, her hair is tied up in a long ponytail and is shockingly orange, her kimono is worn and ragged and she also has what has to be the biggest zanpaktou Rukia has ever seen on her back.

And she is, absolutely, not a Shinigami.

“Holy shit,” Renji whispers as they both watch Byakuya finally move.

He steps around the man on the ground and walks closer to the woman who turns in his direction with a scowl still settled on her rather beautiful face.

In turn Byakuya, normally one who observes propriety in all things, steps much too far into the woman’s personal space.

Even from a distance Rukia can feel the way Byakuya’s reiryoku seems to reach out, flicking at the edges of the woman’s honestly frightening high reserves.

“Oh no,” Rukia hears herself say in a daze, “Nii-sama is in love.”

For Ready Made Family I'd go with Byakuya tbh, mostly bc I detest Aizen something fierce and Bya-bo doesn't get enough love in modern fandom and because having him get a little darker, a little more Edge, could be Interesting.

That’s honestly the way I’m leaning too.

Byakuya has always been a Kuchiki to the core, has alway guarded the family honor as fiercely as his own.

His one act of true defiance he’d done out of love.

He’d married Hisana despite the fact that her delicacy meant she would never be able to truly know him and his desires.  Would never match him; too much the fading flower, petals thin and ragged at the edges.

Still he’d adored her despite it all and yet, despite his best efforts, his love had never been returned.

The first and only thing he’d truly wanted for himself and not as an extension of the Kuchiki Family Honor had been denied to him.

It had stung, a bitter sort of betrayal for all that he’d never truly blamed Hisana for not being able to love him.

He’d quietly resolved to never try again though and had resisted all attempts by the Kuchiki Elders to force a second, more appropriate, wife on him.

And then he runs into this girl, this woman, on what’s supposed to be a routine patrol out in Rukongai, something even Captains have to endure from time to time.

Byakuya looks at Ichigo and sees her strength first, her beauty second, and then sees her with her sisters, sees that scowl shift into a smile, the obvious love they have between each other despite their hardships and he yearns.

He wants.  He covets.

Byakuya wants a place at Ichigo’s side, wants to give Ichigo a place at his side in turn and her sisters a life beyond the struggle of the Rukongai.

Byakuya looks at Ichigo and that long buried craving to be loved rears its vicious head once more.

And this time, Byakuya decides, he will not be denied.

Byakuya learning about Isshin and what he did and Isshin doesn't know why this captain glares at him every time they see each other (Isshin's lucky he's not got sakura petals come out of his ears)

Byakuya is smart and, you know, has eyes so of course he’s absolutely struck by Ichigo and the twin’s resemblance to the Shiba Clan for all that they go by the family name of Kurosaki.

So of course he’s immediately suspicious and starts connecting dots from his beloved to the wayward Shiba Isshin-taichou who finally reappeared from his leave of absence.

And the more Byakuya learns the deeper and more frigid his anger grows.

But, again, Byakuya is more than willing to play the long game here.  More than willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve his goal even though his honor and his temper demand Isshin pay for his slight against Byakuya’s most treasured people.

Besides it will be a blow not only to Isshin but the the Shiba Clan as a whole (who have always been far too lackadaisical for Byakuya’s taste when it comes to keeping their House in order) when Byakuya manages to secure Ichigo at his side without any of the maneuvering that would normally have to be done with another Noble Clan, even one in such disrepair as the Shiba have been for centuries now.

To marry into the Kuchiki Clan is a high honor, one that can raise another Clan’s reputation a great deal, and Byakuya intends to have his Ichigo, and their precious little family, all without Isshin or the Shiba gaining any advantage from their union at all.

Besides only a fool would not see Ichigo’s potential and natural skill and not immediately seek to have it claimed under the banner of a Clan.

And Byakuya is no fool.

rmf! byakuya realizing early on that a good way to get into Ichigo's good books is through being on her sister's good side

Byakuya absolutely realizes that early on in part because it’s obvious and because that adoration that’s so readily apparent between the three of them is one of the reasons why Ichigo became such a fixture in his attention.

So Byakuya knows that he needs to win over the girls to win over Ichigo which is both understandable but also kind of unfortunate because he has no real idea of how to win over children?  His unrequited love for his former wife and his still distant relationship with Rukia is proof enough that he’s never been a very personable individual.

But he’s determined to not let any of that stop him.

Luckily for Byakuya he’s strong (which Karin enjoys) and looks like an actual prince (which Yuzu enjoys) so he doesn’t have to start completely at square one.

Byakuya isn’t even allowed into the kitchen of the Kuchiki Clan Compound after he once tried to make tea with a kido spell.

But he is absolutely willing to learn if it means getting closer to Yuzu and thus Ichigo, putting him one step closer to his ultimate goal.
