Todays 5am rambling;

There is a difference between 'qBad' and 'Tio Bad' because Tio Bad instincts are just absolutely INGRAINED in ccBads brain and is just entirely separate from his actual qCharacter

Honestly. Half of the stuff he does he does out of instinct, not rp at this point.

And I'm 5am rambling about this just because it's become really really obvious to me these past couple days because Bad will be in rp with the eggs where he's not supposed to recognize them or know them but then he'll do or say little things that just doesn't quite fit with that and it's just so adorable because it's so obvious that he's just so used to hanging with the egg actors that some things are just natural at this point.

The most obvious is the iconic gasp whenever there's an egg downed message, of course.

(I still remain surprised that he managed to act completely nonchalant when Richas got knocked the other day, +1000 rp points there Brad)

That is a bodily response at this point, there is no character rp in that gasp of anxiety.

But there are just little things that slip through even when he is in full rp mode.

When Tallulah first saw him again he acted as qBad would but when Tallulah started to get genuinely upset Bad's voice changed to the voice he uses when talking through hard topics with eggs and he reassured her in a way that he didn't take the time to do with any of the other eggs and honestly it must've broken ccBad to not be able to comfort an egg that he's been a source of comfort for for almost a year.

Or when he went to ask Leo if she wanted to go mining. He'd previously been loud and confused with Leo and Foolish but when he went to speak to Leo alone he crouched in front of her and spoke clearly as he asked her and waited for her response, copying her when she jumped or crouched excitedly.

He learnt early on (back when the translations were still buggy as all hell) that sometimes when babysitting Leo in particular he had to make sure to speak clearly so that nothing got lost in translation because if you watch early vods there are times where Leo just does not understand what Bad is saying (and if you look at the transcription box it's often pretty damn easy to understand why she's confused because some of the stuff the early transcripts pick up are frankly hilariously far off from what was said).

Overtime he adapted, speaking clearer and reducing his use of complex vernacular or occasionally repeating phrases but changing them slightly to make the translations as understandable as possible and he still does that whenever he's talking directly with Leo, and now Pepito too.

The one that hurt and was the point that made me start writing this whole rambling was the way that Bad IMMEDIATELY snapped back into Tio mode as soon as he saw Pepito at spawn (even if from a pure rp standpoint it made not a lot of sense).

He was crouching in front of him, back to calling him little one, referring to all the eggs as 'kids' again, reassuring Pepito that he'd go pick up his dad and bring him to Pepito but only if he could make sure that Pepito was safe at his house first, trying to immediately get him out of the open and to set a pearl, telling him it wasn't his fault and that he doesn't need to apologise, that it's okay to be sad about his death but they need to get him somewhere safe first.

It broke me because this was just an exact echo of how he's had to act with every other egg after their deaths when he discusses the deep topics with them. He is too used to comforting eggs about these sorts of things and hearing him give the same reassurances killed me because Pepito is just a baby, he shouldn't have to have Tio Bad give him the after-death talk already.

(I feel like I keep giving Ted Talks atp with the length of my posts but ahhhhhhh neurospicy brainrot is just all consuming sometimes y'know? 🙃)

Get to know Pomme!

(or facts gathered by a french viewer who mostly follows french POVs) -Well behaved, polite and affectionate, especially towards her parents. She is very obedient and (almost) always listen to Baghera. She is not afraid to tell her parents that she loves them ♥

-Uses mostly these smileys: :D :0 o_o . For example, when Baghera gets in her room, she greets her with a joyful “Bonjour! :D <3<3<3”

-When she writes in her diary, her style is elegant and graceful. I would not be surprised if the person playing her wrote as a hobby. -Loves construction and builds! She helps Baghera and etoiles build their base, and often gives good ideas. Etoiles is especially grateful since he is a better fighter than a decorator lol.

-At first, she was quite fearful. Scared of the codes, of being alone… One time she left the egg shelter during an attack to join Baghera because she couldn’t bear to not be with her. She had an interesting discussion with Antoine about death, the meaning of life, the value of our time and how we use it… It reassured her about the whole situation with the codes.

-And now she is determined to fight in order to protect herself and the other eggs. She wants to become stronger and to live despite her fear. She asked etoiles to train her, and he does! Fighting became a fun practice game between these two. Her favorite weapon is the hammer.

-During her first days on the island, she was a bit shy. Nowadays, she shows more of her… “French side” let’s say. She groans when somebody interrupts her during her build (with the iconic French “ROOOOH” in all caps on her pannels). Sometimes, Bagz and/or etoiles will put a random block in the middle of a neatly paved way that she built, just to tease her…She becomes so angry, it’s so funny! And when they approach to do it again, she frantically writes “PUT THAT BLOCK AWAY NOW” in all caps. They call her their “little neat freak” ♥

-She adores Richas and considers him to be her best friend! And she finds Leonarda very nice and lovely, and would love to spend more time with them.

-She wants to form a musical band with the other eggs! (Especially Tallulah and Leonarda). And she would love Richas to paint their album covers since he does beautiful drawings ♥

-She would love to go on adventures and dungeons with Etoiles, but the French team is a bit worried that she will lose a life if she follows him on his dangerous quests.

-When asked “what kind of music do you listen to?”, she put “LEZGONGUE” from the ZZCCMXTP album (a collaboration between a looot of French streamers and some rappers too. Baghera and Antoine participated in it btw!). It’s very funny to see such a cute egg dancing on a song like this haha.

I just wanna take the time to list the fucking bugs on the QSMP because they range from mildly inconvenient to this has changed history forever and they are the weirdest fucking bugs

Broken hearts: this is the bug of when people log in, it shows half of their hearts just being blacked out and it take someone smacking you to get them back. Its very funny when an egg or someone randomly goes "hey hit me". Honorary mention is when someone gets withered and the withered hearts stay. Very angsty I love.

Broken voice: this is many things, but mainly when someone has to deafen and undeafen when someone relogs. It was a big problem in early days because people didnt know and it was annoying, but now its just common knowledge.

Sweeping edge: Me and my homies hate this bug. Basically it was a line of code in one of the mods that got bugged and instead of sweeping edge dealing 0.5 of the damage of a hit, it would deal 5 time more. For example, when Etoiles and Bad were testing it out, Pomme hit Bad with a weapon and it killed Etoiles who was next to Bad. This is more than likely the cause of deaths for Tilin and Juanaflippa. Im glad it got fixed, but it still installs fear into OG islanders to this day.

Dorime bug: The funniest and stupidest bug of all. Dorime randomly playing out of nowhere and the only way to get it to stop is to turn musicbox noises on and off. It happens enough that people usually have their musicbox noises turned off at all times

Sound bug: Sounds be loud. Even from hundreds of blocks away. This is elevator sounds, monster/demon sounds, camera sounds, etc. Its normal at this point, but it sometimes freaks people out and think admins are fucking with them.

Dapper's flying hammer bug: A recent bug, but when Dapper and someone fight and Dapper hits them with their hammer, they start flying indefinitely or until they relog. The first time this happened was fucking insane because it was Dapper and Ramon doing their usual fighting and then Ramon started flying away. Fit, Bad, and Dapper all had no idea what to do and were all freaking out/crying laughing.

Ramon's duping bug: A bug that's been fixed, but Ramon figured out that if you sling shot something in a certain way (I think it was in the Copacabana ocean?) it would dupe a whole stack of whatever was shot. This also lead to Ramon and Fit figuring out that if you sling shot a waystone, it fucking crashes the server. Which led to a day where everyone was using that so they can keep doing Lucky Ducks.

Death bug: This is when someone has the visual of "0.0/100.0 Time left 00:00:00" stuck on their screen. Usually leads to someone BEGGING someone to let them kill them. Pretty funny and dumb.

Eggs being tall: Aka eggs models not loading for people. It usually makes people try to roleplay their way out and being scared of tall eggs. I.E. "Tall Richas isnt real" or Cellbit screaming in horror in purgatory when the lil eye guy model wasnt loading and saying the castle is haunted.

Teleport bug: Not very common, but some times if someone is trying to use their warpstone, they particles start to fly around them and they dont stop until the person lets go of the warpstone. This can make a wall of purple particles around someone.

Egg names: This is a very early "bug". In the beginning, in order for the parents to name their egg, they had to right click their eggs and name them. This made people accidentally name their eggs stuff like "eee" or "Wwww". Also other parents naming other eggs other names (Mariana named Leo "shit" and Foolish named Juana "Marianaisabitchjr"). On the first day, for some reason, everyone was named "TILIN" for like 5 minutes. This 'bug' also got the iconic clip of Phil right clicking on the OG code and he got a chance to name it and it freaked him out.

Im pretty sure there's a lot more, but I love how insanely modded server has the weirdest bugs known to man. Feel free to add any you remember.

I have an absolutely wild theory about the cursed team based on the egg messages and the team icons

So we’ve all seen the red letter words in the egg messages: Protect for Philza, Run for- well all of Richa’s parents but let’s actually go with Bagi because I believe she was the one to receive the black chest and image for him- Bagi, and Win for Bad

Now, I think you can reasonably represent those three messages with the team icons

A Shield for Protect, a Medallion for Win, and The Eye of Purgatory for Run

Except the colors are wrong. If that were the case Phil should be Green, Bad should be Red and Bagi should be Blue. It’s like they’ve all been shifted one to the left.

So here’s the crazy theory, what if between the eggs trying to warn their parents and the beginning of the game, the game master changed something? Or more likely he lied to the eggs in some way? What if now, Blue is meant to run (and possibly discover the truth of the island given the tone of Richas message, done with the power of some of the prickliest thorns in the Fed’s side), Green to Protect (overcome their bloodlust and use their strength to empower the cursed team) and Red to win (to use the power of friendship and main character energy (/j) to warn the other teams about the curse and work together to come out on top)? It would fit with Fit’s warning that things may not be what they seem, it would fit the (possibly) weird team distribution choice. Hell, if we go several crack theories deep and say the Resistance has relation to Cucurevil and Cucurevil is possibly involved with this whole Purgatory event, then that would line up with the codes warning Etoiles to protect all those weeks ago.

Can the icons be unimportant coincidences or just cool aesthetic choices? Yes, absolutely. But there’s also a pretty heavy theme of misdirection and finding the answers in the fine print in this event and I think it would be super cool for them hide a detail like this right under our noses from the start

favorite theory: brazilians landed on the island by accident. incredibly funny to me, has implications for all of them & for richas (the rushed thing becomes even more relevant), extra funny that cellbit is literally from the island but they didn't bring him back on purpose.

least favorite theory: that roier is also from the island. i hate the idea of everyone being secretly actually from the island, i think the more every single character is involved in the federation, the messier it gets, and i truly think roier should just be some guy who ended up there. also i do not like the idea of spiderbit knowing each other as kids and it being some kind of destiny bullshit. they chose each other based off meeting each other when they did, under those circumstances, and that makes their story better imo. also i just don't see it happening it makes no sense to me

Making Taemin ‘Move’: An Interview With Songwriter Curtis Richa

Yes, there’s a dude doing the Super Bowl next year who claims he’s responsible, but in fact, Taemin is the one who’s actually bringing sexy back. The 24-year-old member of SHINee, the five-member South Korean boy band still going strong since their 2008 debut, broke out for the second time on his own with his sophomore solo studio album Move, released last week (October 16). The sleek and varied collection of silky-smooth R&B melodies, shape-shifting electronica and big-voiced balladry (“Rise,” my heart!) is easily one of 2017’s best Korean pop releases, with its shadowy and seductive title track leading the charge.

“I honestly think ‘Move’ is kind of iconic,” Curtis Richa, one of the song’s co-writers, told me in a Skype call from Amsterdam last week. A U.S.-based songwriter who’s found himself in the liner notes of major releases by everyone from Koda Kumi to Jennifer Lopez to Rihanna since the early ’00s, Curtis was pleasantly surprised to learn that Taemin’s team not only wanted his submission – originally titled “Don’t Fight the Music” – but planned to make it the pop star’s lead single. “I feel like it surpassed what we originally envisioned it to be,” Curtis admitted of the track, which was penned alongside Adien Lewis and Angelique Cinelu, and later translated by Ji Eum Seo. “We didn’t have any big aspirations for the song. We loved the original song, but Taemin and S.M. took it to a level that’s just earth-shattering to me. I didn’t think it would be this big, this impactful.” The song is understated in its approach, supplying subtle-yet-undeniable hooks above dark, pulsating, ever-so-slightly menacing synths perfectly suited for the Halloween season, similar sonically to The Weeknd‘s transition to Max Martin Top 40 slick pop – and even The King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. “The singing style is so different from what I’m used to hearing from him. It’s a more breathy, sensual, kind of mysterious dark record with an air of brightness to it,” Curtis explained. As for the video – well, all three of them to be exact? If the song wasn’t enough of a selling point, Taemin’s smoldering screen presence surely seals the deal. There are three visual experiences: the main music video, a solo choreography version, and a duo dance between Taemin and the video’s Japanese choreographer (and frequent collaborator), Sugawara Koharu. Pulling off fierce choreography in the rain (and even fiercer fashion), Taemin toes the line between masculine and feminine as a gorgeously androgynous idol – not unlike some of the West’s most legendary male music icons. Taemin’s movements alternate between strong and precise to seductively soft, limp-wristed and femme – he’s captivatingly versatile as a performer. “For me, just the way he did the video, it kind of has shades of Michael Jackson in it…but it’s also Taemin. He has his own style,” Curtis said. Just don’t ask the song’s own co-writer to explain the meaning of “Move”: as with most Western artists who submit songs to be recorded by Korean artists, Curtis had no say whatsoever in the English-to-Korean lyrical crossover. “I don’t know what the meaning of ‘Move’ is, but I know what the original record was. It was meant to be sexy, sensual and really mysterious,” he revealed. “They [S.M. Entertainment] actually bring in the translator. They work with the translator to get what they want for the Korean lyrics. But there are some lyrics in ‘Move’ that are still there – that ‘you got the rhythm!‘ – that’s my lyric…there are a couple English lyrics in there. Adien’s voice is layered somewhere in there with Taemin’s and Andrew Choi. I think Adien is still in there somewhere in the background.” At the moment, Taemin’s been making moves with “Move,” as one does as a massive K-Pop idol, performing his own solo showcase and taking the stage nightly on music shows, which are still a major factor in the Korean music industry. (The TRL reboot could take a few notes, but that’s another story.) While he’s not there to experience the Taemin takeover in person, Curtis is more than pleased with what he’s seeing from afar. “I can’t stop watching these videos. I’m blown away by them. I get a big kick out of it. It makes me respect the composition more. I love that record. I always did,” he insisted. “But Taemin’s performance, and the energy in the mix…I was just extremely happy with that.”

Our favourite Bollywood actors haven’t had the best of life always. The name, fame, and money do not bring the guarantee of peace and happiness in life. Innumerable Bollywood celebrities have had very sordid, dramatic lives and many of them have found a mention on screen as well.

Sridevi’s Dramatic Life–

India’s first female superstar, she was not just the queen of Bollywood but also a pan-India superstar with successful films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. No other male actor could do the same till date. Sridevi was also the only actress who made a successful comeback after a 15-year hiatus. Yet, her life wasn’t an easy road. She began acting from the age of 4, on the insistence of her mother and never stopped. In one of her interviews, Sridevi recalled how she had to continue shooting for films even during her parents’ demise. Her affair with Mithun Chakraborty and Boney Kapoor led to much speculation and judgment. She was criticised for her marriage to Boney who was previously married to Mona Kapoor and had two children with her. Post her 1997 film Judaai, she took a break and returned in 2014 with English Vinglish. Her successful second innings was cut short by her untimely death on February 24 when she accidentally drowned in the bathtub of a Dubai hotel.

Madhubala’s Dramatic Life –

The most beautiful diva of Hindi films, Madhubala too began her journey as a child. Yet it was her adulthood which saw her giving back to back performances in some of the finest films of her time. Suffering from a congenital heart disease, Madhubala worked till she could, even during her illness while shooting for Mughal-e-Azam. Her love life was marred by tragedy. Dilip Kumar and her father’s severed ties owing to his refusal to allow her to go to Bhopal to shoot for their film Naya Daur resulted in Madhubala losing the role and having a court case filed against her. Post her break-up, the actress married Kishore Kumar, who had been her co-stars in many films. However, his family refused to accept a woman from another religion and the marriage turned out to be an unhappy one. She died at the age of 36, days before her birthday.

Rekha’s Dramatic Life –

The mysterious Rekha has had a tumultuous life. Her father Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan refused to accept her as his child and Rekha had to seek work in the South film industry owing to financial constraints. Her entry into the Hindi film industry was rife with criticism owing to her looks and body. Plus, she did not speak Hindi at the time. Over time, Rekha successfully transformed herself and her fruitful journey began in the industry. However, tragedy did not leave her alone. Vinod Mehra, her co-star, with whom she was rumored to have been married, died because of a heart attack.  She married businessman Mukesh Agarwal who committed suicide just a year later. Rekha was castigated heavily by the media even though her husband did not blame anyone for his suicide. Her affair with Amitabh Bachchan remained the highlight of her life during the 80s. Their last film together was Yash Chopra’s Silsila. She did not marry again and lives all by herself.

Sanjay Dutt’s Dramatic Life –

The son of legendary actors Nargis and Sunil Dutt, Sanjay Dutt has had a hard life. From drug and alcohol abuse to possession of arms and three marriages, Sanjay Dutt braved it all. He was arrested in connection with the 1993 Bombay blasts on the allegation of accepting delivery of weapons at his house from Abu Salem and Riyaz Siddiqui. Nargis’s death due to cancer in 1981 had plunged the actor into a deep depression. He married actress Richa Sharma and the couple has a daughter Trishala. However, Richa died soon after due to a brain tumor. His second marriage with model Rhea Pillai ended in divorce and in 2008, after prolonged courtship, he married Manyata Dutt and became a father of twins. Sanjay Dutt has been imprisoned many times, his last ending in 2016 in Yerwada Jail.

Salman Khan’s Dramatic Life –

Though his movies are doing wonders at the BO, Salman’s temper and his past mistakes fail to leave his side. He was accused of running over homeless people in an inebriated state. He was acquitted in 2015. Salman was imprisoned in Jaipur due to his involvement in an illegal poaching case. But it was his affair with Aishwarya Rai which garnered the most controversy when she accused him of physical and mental abuse. Salman never married and has been known for his affairs with actresses like Sangeeta Bijlani and Katrina Kaif.

Silk Smitha’s Dramatic Life –

The south siren had a tumultuous life since she was stereotyped for playing glamorous roles. She was married off at a very young age and after being ill-treated by her family, she ran away from home. Her arrival in South cinema was not easy and hence, she was easily misunderstood for her introvert nature. She learned English and took up roles discarded by other actresses. Silk Smitha was also a part of the Hindi remake of Moondram Pirai called Sadma, a role she was much appreciated for. However, her life was cut short when she committed suicide in 1996. The reason behind her suicide still remains a mystery.

Kangana Ranaut’s Dramatic Life –

The outspoken actress was brought up in a conservative environment in Himachal Pradesh. She rebelled against her parents and was discovered by Anurag Basu who signed her for his film Gangster. Though she won a National Award for her performance, Kangana was not taken seriously by the industry till she did films like Tanu Weds Manu and Queen. Her alleged affair with Hrithik Roshan landed her in controversy. She also openly talked about nepotism in the industry and sexism female actors are subjected to.

Simi Garewal’s Dramatic Life –

The evergreen Simi Garewal was married to Ravi Mohan of Chunnamal family in Delhi. However, the marriage did not last long. She is largely considered an icon par excellence. However, her affairs with Tiger Pataudi and the Maharaja of Jamnagar earned her much popularity and also slander from conservative sections of society. Simi Garewal had forced her parents to allow her to work in films and has since been an active part of the film industry.

Kalki Koechlin’s Dramatic Life –

Her entry into films was viewed with skepticism over her Anglo-Indian looks. Born and brought up in Ooty, Kalki’s parents divorced early and she lived with her mother. The grand-daughter of Maurice Koechlin, an engineer who played an important role in the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Kalki is half-French. Having experienced sexual abuse at a young age, Kalki identifies as a feminist. However, her marriage to Anurag Kashyap ended in a divorce after several attempts to save it via counselling.
