Jacks was able to kiss Tella because she died and came back to life. I think that’s how he’ll be able to kiss Evangeline as well.

Jacks uses the apples to suppress his urge to kiss

Her nose crinkles and she shakes her head. “No, I don’t think that’s it. He’s just being NICE. Or perhaps he’s bored and sees this as an entertaining way to spend his time.” He had offered to show her around New York, a real EARTH experience. 

It didn’t have to mean he LIKED her. At least, not in the way she was finding herself drawn to him.

Things I want to happen in A Curse For True Love (but probably won't) :

- I want Lala to visit Evangeline, there's no reason why she wouldn't, unless they were never really friends.

- I want Eva to be really fond of apples without knowing why. Maybe the dragon roasted ones. And Apollo wouldn't be able to deny her request because he has no good reason to hate them.

- I want Luc to pop in to say hi to Eva from time to time, maybe even be useful.

- I want Eva to get her memories back and promptly kill Apollo for taking them. As satisfying it would be for Jacks to do it, I would love for it to be Eva's choice, for her to consciously choose to be with Jacks. Also, she deserves her revenge and to be angry for once in her lifetime.

- I want Evangeline to break Jacks' prince of hearts curse. I don't want her to be his true love, I just want her love for him to be powerful enough to break the curse. Just like he broke the archer's curse.

- I want Scarlett and Donatella to make another appearance. It would be funny to see them interact with a lovestruck Jacks.

Things I wanted to see or at least get answers to but didn’t get:

-I wanted to see Eva and Jacks slow dance at least once ever since it was mentioned in Ballad :(

-I wanted a more drawn out scene in the one bed chapter. I felt like it was super rushed 😔 for example, it would’ve been nice to see them wake up in each others arms, feel all warm in cozy etc 🥰. On that note, I also wanted to see what exactly happened when he woke up next to Eva from Jacks pov.

-I wanted to see Eva and Lala beat the fuck outta Aurora, just like we saw Jacks kick Apollo’s ass at the end. I cheered when Lala called her a bitch lmao

-I wished Eva and Jacks first kiss was… different? I don’t know, something about it just didn’t hit the same. It feels like Ballad had more tension between the two of them than in this book.

-what about Lala and Chaos? Is that gonna be a thing? I would love for Stephanie to write a short little spin off on them. I bet the tension would be fun to read!!

-it looks like Chaos was able to stop his hunger from overpowering him when he saved Eva from Jacks but why did he slaughter house fortuna?

-what happened to Tiberius!?? Or Luc? Or Marisol? I wanna know where they all ended up

-does Eva ever write to Scarlett to let her know what went down in the North? I feel like with her nearly becoming Queen that would have been enough for Scarlett to reach out to her 🥴

-is Jacks still a fate? And if so, why? Or is the fact that he’s in love negate his powers since it turns him mortal?

-what great house did jacks belong to when Lyric was still alive? Or did he come from a peasant family? Was he an orphan too? What was his childhood like? Who taught him to be such a great archer?

-what happened to the broken heart scar on Eva’s wrist? Does she still owe him a kiss?

Oh, I love Dorian! My Lavellan Inquisitor always ends up best friends with him! I love that they share little crystals to keep in touch. Him, Cole, and Blackwall, are my typical party (with Cole being shifted to archer, me being a dual-wield, making Blackwall a tank, and Dorian being Dorian). He’s one of my favorite characters in Inquisition (though I know he’s not everyone).

I get the confusion on Scarlett— and someone simply being curious and asking me about it, I’ll try my best to answer— but I don’t get the demands to have her become available for everyone (with a bit more choice words that the previous ask didn’t have), or simply have her and Koda switch (make them straight pretty much)…

What does Evangeline remember? 🤔😉🏰

Okay, I finally figured out or at least have an idea of how much Evangeline has forgotten and remembered.

The summary revealed pretty much what we already know if we were to start with Once Upon A Broken Heart. Or how she started in The Ballad of Never After without all the details.

So, this would mean that technically Evangeline would remember her reasons as to how to got to the Magnificent North from this point.

However, Apollo took some details away from even from this point in her life.

Evangeline lost her parents' stories and the memory of the magic shop.

The moment she and Apollo met under the phoenix tree.

Her first kiss with Apollo.

Jacks painting blood on her mouth for the first kiss.

Apollo and Evangeline wrapped up in bed, him almost choking her, Evangeline locking him in, Jacks coming in to take her away.

The crypt scene

Evangeline marrying Apollo (although she doesn't remember it much to begin with lol)

LaLa

The day Apollo was cursed as the Archer.

Jacks saving her as they jumped off the cliff.

Everything that transpired in the Hollow, where Jacks tended to Evangeline's wounds.

Jacks's confession to being the Archer.

So, what does she remember?

Not everything of course, but obviously the moments that meant the most. Here's some possibilities!

She hasn't forgotten Luc and the heartbreak that came with it.

She may also remembered Marisol (but not of her betrayal)

A different version of her wedding

Maybe her parents???

Meeting Tella and Scarlett

Turning to stone to stop a wedding (however this one is an iffy since he did involve Jacks)

All right! I think that's all I can think of for the moment. Apollo or whoever is the second POV will make up for a lot of what was taken from Evangeline. And I'm sure we'll find out in the first chapter where Evangeline's memories are at and how much she knows of Jacks! 😉

You keep your aim steady at your target. Eyes staring deep into his. You can see the confusion and fear as he begs for his life. His hands quivering around his bow as he use it to steady himself from falling. Blood dripping from his head.

Your own grip from your bow the exact contrast. Grip tight and steady eyes never leaving the target for even a second. Because you know even a second can lead to death. For the man in front of you is an extremely skilled marksman.

"Please stop. I'm just an actor. I've never hurt anyone" he pleaded.

You know that. Of course you know that. The man infront of you is a skilled marksman but only in the movie he was in. His character... is Hawkeye.

'I know' you thought to yourself.

"It doesn't matter" is what came out.

And it didn't, not when it came to shifting. And not a werewolf kind.

His eyes still held fear in them the moment those words came out of your mouth but it quickly switched to being alert as if another being had taken control. And in a sense it is exactly that.

You stared at him focused. And the moment you saw clarity in his eyes you've released the arrow, hitting him right in the forehead, before he even got the chance of lifting his own bow to take a shot. And you knew that if he had that chance, you woikd definitely not survive.

You took a deep breath, months of doing work like this will certainly take a toll on the body. And you're just a human. Stretching your back, you glanced at the fallen archer. Grief flooding your body but your mind quickly told you it had to be done or else.

Everything started months ago. An experiment gone right. So right scientists have deemed it perfect. But perfection in the human eyes are always rotten inside. And as always, it proved just that.

Multiple scientists have successfully traveled to a different universe. A humongous achievement yes but humans always want to excel in everything. If they have something they will want more of it. So those scientists hired more to join their cause. And they grew large.

They successfully traveled to two different universes and were trying for a third when they noticed an anomaly. The first universe they've vusited had its population decreasing. And as months passed the 1st universes earth voided of humans.

The 2nd universe then also started decreasing causing a panic among the association of scientists. And by the time the 2nd universe's human population is 15%. The scientists found that the 1st universe had different being living in it. In our world? They are called supernaturals.

Witches, vampires, werewolves, faires, aliens and other thing that are not human. But there is also another category that fits that description. Heroes. And Villains.

Stronger than a human. Inhuman appearance. inhuman abilities. Heroes and Villains fit this no?

And the 1st universe had them. And the most powerful witch. The Scarlett witch.

Wanda in our universe is a character of a fictional story. Wanda however is a real live powerful witch in the 1st universe.

And as our scientists happily traveled to the 1st universe by "switching" which is gaining control with their counterparts minds. Wanda had sensed it. And as the months passed the more she had freely studied how to switch minds with not just her counterpart but also other people's. Eventually learning to get another to switch with their counterpart easily.

Technology has nothing against the Scarlett witch.

But unfortunately, 1st universe's wanda is not a hero. More like their Avengers aren't.

But what she is? Is bored. Of everything and of her universe. So with a few people she trusted and tolerate, wanda led her group to extinct humans as a farewell party. Switching to her counterpart in the 2nd universe's after having all her fun along with the Avengers, leaving their original bodies to rot at the 1st universe's earth along with billions of corpses for the earth to absorb.

The difference in the 2nd universe? Their technology is so far advanced but then again only the 1% really ever get to enjoy them. The problem? Well, one of them is far greater than any. People of the 2nd universe even call her a god. She's known in our universe however as the black widow.

She isn't a hired assassin in the 2nd universe though. She was a CEO of the leading technological companies that are always at the top. She was referred to as a god for wherever technology exist, so does she. She can see everything all at once. Hear as far as the other end of the world. Wherever technology is? She can do everything. She isn't however an avenger, for they do not exist in the 2nd universe. Instead, they were normal business people.

But, natasha is one of the Avengers. The Avengers that switched alongside wanda. And natasha gained the abilities 2nd universe's natasha has.

As for the others?

Tony1 is ironman, rich, arrogant, and loves making bombs so he can blast people he's pissed at.

Peter1 pranks people by sticking them to a ten foot pole and leaving them there until someone helps them, if not? Well "they can rot there" as per his words.

Steve1 and Bucky1 drug lords, anyone who says no to what they want? Well youve seen the biceps. Can you escape?

The other members does whatever wandanat and stucky tells them.

And well, add that to their counterparts in the 2nd universe that has unli money and tech? Well...

2nd universe was quite lucky wanda got bored instantly with them. She has magic she doesn't need tech. Natasha cannot agree more, she can control and do everything here. She wants a blank canvas. A new earth to control and test her powers. Stucky too, got bored as they have no more to do, the people of this earth already do what they want. No one even dares try to defy them. No one tried to usurp them, no fight just utter submission. So like nat, they want a new place to control, one where they will feel the thrill of controlling and breaking in a wild puppy again.

So with the four leaders in agreement, they looked for another universe. And they didn't have to look far. What would be more better than having the universe that made all of this possible they ask? None.

The only fortunate thing is, humans learn and they are quick. Some scientists have immediately created a device that can put off the switching for a bit. And it did help, big time. Because of the device wanda is only able to switch one person at the span of a year. So the government made a special force to eradicate those who are switched. One problem however is this catastrophic event is not made public. Only the scientists and members of the special force are aware. And you, are one of this agents.

You sighed before tapping your earpice to turn it on.

"Assignment cleared, objective gone"

"Copy agent, clean up in 10"

You tapped your earpice again turning it off. You close your eyes as you try to not look back at the body behind you. You took deep breaths, smelling hints of iron in the air that churns your stomach. But then you hear a car in the distance, knowing its clean up you walk friskly. Body moving autonomous towards an outpost you are to stay in for the night. Your mind thinking of nothing and everything.

You understand, you also know. But that and actually doing something are different. After graduating highschool youve been scouted by a man in a suit asking you to take an exam and if you pass they will hire you. Having no money and knowing you have no where to go you accepted. You did pass and youve been recruited as a special force agent called "Shutoff".

You've been told and taught as to why it needs to be done, you understood. But not immediately. You had questions, so you asked. You found out that they can only prevent and stall. Stopping this is still a work in progress. Not a solution but there is nothing else.

You sighed again. Realizing you're in bed now. Laying down staring at the ceiling. You thought of them again. Your assignments. You've been told not to treat them as people so you can do your job. Many agents lost their lives because of that split second waver of emotions. When they saw their target as people and try to console them, the next thing they know a knife is wedged in their ribs. The targets switches in a split second, and their order is to eliminate the cause of disruption and anyone in the way. And the Shutoff is in the way. And they know that. You know that.

But it doesn't mean it hurt less. Two months ago, your target is an old man that works in the grocery store infront of your apartment. Your tears fell as you stared him down, sniper gun aimed at his forehead as he happily chatted away with another customer. You focused in his eyes and let the tears flow. The moment his eyes switched and became alert, you took the shot. You bathed crying in hot water and stayed there until it got iced cold, you moved the next day. People thought it was because you were close with the old man that was murdered. And it was, for that reason and the other.

Year before, is a mother who had a child that ended up in adoption. Her child saw the bullet going through her forehead. There was no other way, Wanda's new ability made it more difficult. You had to wait for the switch to fully take over. You don't know what happened to him after.

(Wanda learned to focus switching a person onto it's counterpart easily. But she found out that if the counterpart dies without the switch fully taking over she can put the switch to another person that is within the vicinity of the counterpart. The switch fully took over when the mother is taking her child out of the stroller. One sign to see if the switch fully took over is when their gaze change from their current activity. Like the old man who was happy suddenly became alert as the switch is alert because of the mission)

Now... An actor. Clint his name was. He- you stopped yourself.

"It's done. It's... Done."

You clenched your eyes and forced yourself to sleep.

The next morning you opened your eyes after a fitful sleep.

You made breakfast and went on your way back to the base to give your report.

But the moment you step outside you suddenly fell dizzy. Voices calling out to you was the last thing you heard.

You woke up, head still pounding as you took your surroundings and realized that you are nowhere near base. Nor even anywhere you know at all. Everything is different. Your mind reeled as you try to think of what happened, how did you get here and how do you get out.

"You can't" a voice suddenly speaks.

You whip your head towards the voice in surprise, eyes widening as you realize who it belongs to.

You gulp, and she smirks at you, eyes never leaving yours. As if taunting you, bragging about her gaze. You remember this face. You've watched it before from films. But that woman was an actress. And this one in front of you, she's not a character but the real existing one. Wanda.

"Sure is quite an effort for you to stay quiet kotenok" another voice pops out behind you. Sultry, commanding and confident thats all you can think as Natasha walks over to you.

With every step towards you, you step backwards trembling. Something about this two makes your knees weak. You felt another heat behind you so you instinctively turned ariund immediately and raised your fisted hands. But Natasha easily caught them with her own from behind you letting Wanda settle on your front, pressing herself onto you even more. Resulting in you being pressed back onto Natasha's.

You stood there confused as to why these two very dangerous women are pressing and snuggling you (albeit forced) comfortably. But before you can ask questions they spoke before you.

"We've waited so long kotenok"

"We found you at last detka"

"We won't let you go again"

"We'll have you this time"

As more sentences come out of their mouth, you head became dizzy again as you get overwhelmed by their smell, their perfume overwhelming your nose, the sound of their voice, their closeness to you. The way they rub their noses to any part of you body they can reach peppering your neck with kisses and licks. Their hands on your body. Natasha's holding your own to hers caressing your wrists fingers and palm, whike Wanda's are roaming and groping you all over.

You were starting to lose consciousness when you heard them say something that seemed to seal your fate.

"Our only.

Ours only"

Their voices harmonizing with each other as they say the phrase like a spell. A promise. A statement.

You lost the fight to think what it meant. Your body going limp between them as they continue to lavish you with their affection. It doesn't matter anyway. They already have what they want.

You didn't realize that it has only been a few months between the old man and hawkeye. Two to be exact. Too fast. No one realized that. Ir the fact that a movie about them came out and became a hit. Same names, titles and looks.

No one realized they've been there right from the start. Playing. Entertaining themselves.

But as per your words earlier, it doesn't matter.
