#THE ONE ECLIPSE WHO WAS GOOD AND TREATED LUNAR SO KINDLY-

In response to Frost's incredulous question, Solar and Twilight merely looked at each other, before they shrugged, and kindly apologised, as they could not tell what Frost's relationship to Luna was; but after Frost steadied her breath, and told herself that she would be all right, she told Eclipse that she narrowly managed to hold herself together, as it was her first time meeting Princess Luna.
As Eclipse sat down, Frost noticed they were still wearing expressions of concern upon their faces, so she promised them with a warm and unfading smile that there was nothing they had to worry about, and that she merely felt ecstatic; for on the Island where she came from, the Princess of the Night was revered and admired by everyone that has ever lived there, regardless of their race or history.
Although there was much that Frost did not know about the history of the Island, let alone the ones who dwelt upon or around it, she explained that the Lunar Princess had been highly praised for many an Age; and amongst the Dragons that lived there, including herself, Luna was idolised most of all, even higher than the Dragon Lords of Old they had obeyed for years before ever reaching the Island.
Before Eclipse could utter a single word, Frost carefully took their hoof again, and politely asked them not to tell Princess Luna about her incredible admiration, as she would not know what to do if she asked her about it; for even just being in her presence was nervewracking, and she would not be able to say much, if anything at all, as she had to focus on keeping herself together at all costs.
With a solemn nod, Eclipse told Frost that they understood, and promised her they would not mention anything to Luna, for which the Dragoness sincerely thanked them several times over; but in return, Eclipse quietly asked Frost whether it would not be wiser if she saw Luna in the same manner as any other being, such as Spike, or Lord Shining, or Eclipse themselves, and treated her just like them?
To their relief, although Frost let out a deep sigh as she lowered her head, she nodded to them, as well, before she admitted that she had tried to act precisely as they said she should; but when she realised that Spike was leading them to meet Luna, her enthusiasm overwhelmed her, even if she just thought about the moment the Princess gently took her claws and spoke so sweetly and calmly to her.
Too well did Eclipse understand what it felt like for beings to meet their idols, be it for good or ill, as they had experienced often before, even if it sometimes ended in a worse vision of the ones they admired so dearly; but they knew Luna very well, and combined with what they heard from Frost, they had a good feeling that it would be beneficial for them both, after the terrifying first step.
After Twilight and Solar briefly glanced at one another, they nodded, and kindly asked Frost if she would be willing to speak with Luna, given that they and Spike stayed by her side to help her, just in case she, ironically, froze up; and fortunately, their pun made Frost chuckle, when she snorted, startling Eclipse and herself, for which she profusely apologised as she put her claws to her face.
But Eclipse merely started to laugh in return, and thanked Frost for her apology, before they added that it was all right, and that it was not something she needed to apologise for, as it was part of herself; and Frost's smile swiftly grew brighter, and she thanked Eclipse for their advice, and for making sure she was all right, before she asked them if they could head back to the Hall, together.
A mere moment later, Eclipse got up, and offered Frost a helping hoof, before they gestured without a word to head back to meet the others, whom they figured were wondering whither they had gone; and Frost nervously rubbed the back of her head as she and Eclipse returned to the Great Hall, arriving just a few moments later, only for her to hesitate, until Eclipse sweetly offered to hold her claw.
As the two entered the Hall, Spike and Luna quietly sighed in relief, whereafter the Princess said:
"Oh, Frost, we are glad to see thy safe return. Art thou faring well?"

Transiting Sun enters Aquarius
January 19 - February 18, 2018
Aquarius: my need to be innovative, original, and to create social change (Bloch and George, Astrology for Yourself)
Solar transits, according to the experts: Bernadette Brady: “A reassessment of personal identity.” Steven Forrest: “The ego itself confronts the world -  or vice versa.”
If I had to pick one word to describe Aquarius, a strong contender would be “humane.”At first used interchangeably with the word “human,” beginning in the 18th century “humane” started to take on its higher, more “evolved” meaning of “marked by tenderness, compassion, and a disposition to kindly treat others.” Aquarius is an air sign, though, and “humane” for them is based more on an intellectual concept rather than on a deeply-felt belief. (That’s Pisces.)
The Sun is in its detriment in Aquarius. I’ll let Isabel Hickey explain:
The personal warmth and affection of Leo (which sign the Sun rules) are replaced by a cool, impersonal, and intellectual approach to life…. Does not the Aquarian need to remember that no chicken trying to break out of its shell ever hatched in a refrigerator. It takes loving warmth to bring forth new life and new desire to be.
Another way to look at this is that the Sun is our star, around which we and the rest of the thingies revolve. It dominates our lives. But - as far as just our own Milky Way galaxy goes, the Sun is merely one in one hundred billion. (With a “b.”) The Sun is classified as a yellow dwarf, which means it is (1) young and (2) small. Not such a big deal in the overall cosmic scheme of things.
In the US, the right wingers have tried to render a couple of cool Aquarian traits into pejoratives. The first is the sneering epithet of “SJW,” or “social justice worker;” the second is “special snowflake.” These are backhanded ways to belittle, and therefore to negate, the ideals of someone who wants equality. In Wikipedia, we read:
The negative connotation was particularly aimed at those espousing views adhering to social progressivism, cultural inclusiveness, or feminism. According to Vice, the accusation of being an SJW implies that a person is engaging in disingenuous social justice arguments or activism to raise his or her personal reputation. Vice observed: "It’s awfully convenient to have a term at the ready to dismiss women who bring up sexism.” The magazine assessed the use of the term: “The problem is, that’s not a real category of people. It’s simply a way to dismiss anyone who brings up social justice—and often those people are feminists.”
In other words, what truly motivates the rightists is that when you’re coming from a position of privilege, equality feels like oppression. And this deplorable attitude is about as far as one can get from being "marked by tenderness, compassion, and a disposition to kindly treat others.” As the Sun moves through Aquarius, look at the house(s) through which it journeys, and strive to make them as humane as possible.
Celebrities with Sun in Aquarius: Tom Hiddleston, Rosa Parks, Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Thomas Edison, Jules Verne, Amal Clooney, Grigori Rasputin, Elijah Wood, Dr. Dre, Billie Joe Armstrong, Gertrude Stein, Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin, Juliette Greco, Virginia Woolf, Kelly Rowland, Adam Lambert, Sheryl Crow, Mia Farrow, Ronald Reagan, Diane Lane, Geena Davis, Peter Gabriel, Johnny Rotten, Lord Byron
Friday, January 19, Pallas/Taurus square Sun/Aquarius, 00:00
This is something unique: in under one hour’s time, Pallas enters Taurus, the Sun enters Aquarius, and they square each other. It’s a “turning away from” square, and one of the things we may want to turn away from is “Daddy,” in whatever guise he’s showing up here. We may also find ourselves alienated from, and/or experience much inner confusion about, our sexual identities. I think we need to repeat quietly to ourselves, “I’m too smart to let this keep happening.”
Planets/Points affected lie between 00:00 and 1:00 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 14:00 and 16:00 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Wednesday, January 24, Vesta/Sagittarius sextile Sun/Aquarius, 4:18
Vesta’s rulership over personal integration helps us here, as we have an opportunity to “try on” a new self-definition - something different, something more than how we’ve previously defined ourselves. We may also find some “cause” to which we can devote our selves.
Planets/Points affected lie between 3:18 and 5:18 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; placements between 3:18 and 5:18 of the signs Cancer and Capricorn will also be affected.
Wednesday, January 31, Ceres Rx/Leo opposite Sun/Aquarius, 11:35
Part and parcel of the lunar eclipse chart - to be discussed there!
Saturday, February 3, North Node/Leo opposite Sun/Aquarius, 15:06; South Node/Aquarius conjunct Sun/Aquarius, 15:06
From the strictly scientific viewpoint, this is also part/parcel of an eclipse. Any time the Sun is conjunct either node, it means that a solar eclipse either has just happened or is about to happen. In this case, it’s the latter, on February 15. The overall theme, “ideas and their enthusiastic expression” per Bernadette Brady, will be discussed when the date is nearer. For now, let’s investigate how identifying (Sun) with “serving a larger group or humanitarian purpose” and/or “originality” (South Node/Aquarius) can help us “develop warmth” and “relate in a more personal way” (North Node/Leo).
Planets/Points affected lie between 14:06 and 16:06 of the signs Aries, Taurus*, Gemini, Leo*, Libra, Scorpio*, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; and between 00:00 and 1:06 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Saturday, February 10, Jupiter/Scorpio square Sun/Aquarius, 22:10; Sunday, February 11, Eris/Aries sextile Sun/Aquarius, 22:51
Not counting the eclipses, this weekend sees the only rough time for us. The square can give, in Isabel Hickey’s words, “too much false pride and a desire to be on top without being willing to earn it.” We could also be ideological terrorists under this influence, At the same time we have opportunities to make connections with “Others,” in pursuit of our goals for humanity. What we have to watch out for, this weekend, is inflexibility. (As a friend of mine, long ago, dismissed the Clash’s LP Sandinista: “It’s like they read one book about Marxism and decided that was all they needed to know.”)
Square: Planets/Points affected lie between 21:10 and 23:10 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 6:10 and 8:10 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Sextile: Planets/Points affected lie between 21:51 and 23:51 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; placements between 221:51 and 23:51 of Virgo receive a transiting yod, demanding some adjustments; placements between 21:51 and 23:51 of Pisces experience a double semi-sextile, adding an element of good timing.
Tuesday, February 13, Uranus/Aries sextile Sun/Aquarius, 25:20; Wednesday, February 14, Juno/Aquarius conjunct Sun/Aquarius, 25:41
Well, so much for the traditional Hallmark Card celebration of St. Valentine. And good riddance, too. With the double-whammy of Uranus and Aquarius, we’re wanting to shock the socks off the traditionalists. If you insist on celebrating love today, why not show your friends a little appreciation? Not everything in life has to be “romantic” - that’s so limiting.
Planets/Points affected lie between 24:20 and 26:41 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; placements between 24:20 and 26:20 of Virgo receive a transiting yod, demanding some adjustments; placements between 24:20 and 26:20 of Pisces experience a double semi-sextile, adding an element of good timing.
Saturday, February 17, Mercury/Aquarius conjunct Sun/Aquarius, 28:47
Mercury’s “Superior Conjunction” - to be blogged about separately.
