COMPLEXCON DAY 2 - Photos

And that’s a wrap! on two days of culture, brands, artists and celebs at ComplexCon 2023 in Long Beach, California. Fans flocked to the final day of the festival, brands sold out, and Kid Cudi closed the night out onstage.

This weekend, ComplexCon returned to the Long Beach Convention Center for two days of culture, fashion, art and music. Fans flocked to the show floor for access to over 30 eateries and 150 brands featuring exclusive merch and new drops, including the relaunch of Kanye West’s first brand PASTELLE. Fans crowded into the Grand Ball Room for the heated Sneaker Of The Year panel by Complex’s Joe La Puma where the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 was officially crowned #1. Last night Kid Cudi closed the festival with a nostalgic and electrifying set, putting a cap on a busy weekend at the CACTUS Buddy! music stage.

Music Highlights: 

Zack Bia and Field Trip Recordings put together a full slate of DJ sets, including Lil Yachty, Luka Sabbat, SoFaygo, DJ Scheme, Favela Worldwide, Killthemessenger, and Quinn Blake. Zack Bia's set featured surprise performances from YG, Don Toliver, OhGeesy, SoFaygo, and Eem Triplin. [Saturday]

During a rare DJ set, Lil Yachty previewed new music, including an unreleased song called "Gimme The Light” and debuted a new song he recorded two days before the event. [Saturday]

 Lyrical Lemonade celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the brand with a showcase that included sets by BlaccMass, GloUP Jake, F1lthy, ZacFTP, and DJ Scheme. Plus standout performances from Luh Tyler and Kalan.FRFR, and DJ sets from Kerwin Frost. [Sunday]

Kid Cudi hit the stage in Long Beach ahead of his new album INSANO to preview new music for fans—including an unreleased song called "Superboy." Throughout the rest of the set, Cudi performed a mix of early-era standouts like "GHOST!" with new songs like the BNYX-produced (and SoundCloud exclusive) "MOST AIN'T DENNIS." [Sunday]

Abis ambil koper, eun anter gw ketemu kuanghee, bolak balik telp bingung ketemu dimana, naik turun lift, selalu deh, tp trus eun liat kynya itu dia deh (dia bilang so cute) lalu kumenemukanmu: handsome gwiyeoun uri kuanghui pake polo putih n celana cream sambil panggil ah noona. Dia gak telat semenitpun and udah standby dr jam 12 kurang, cm kynya dia tunggu di tempat yg gampang cari taxi while gw di atas. Pas pertama ketemu lagi gw lucunya ga deg2 ser gmn gt sih, gw lgsg panggil: kuang hiii, insahae, nae chinggu from singapore. Trus dia fotoin gw n eun last time before we hugged n berpisah entah sampe kapan. Abis gt pergilah kita berdua, GH bawain koper gedeku. Trus aku bilang, KH, kok dingin ya aku gakuat.. Sampe dia kaget, kl gitu kita pindah aja nuna, aku baru tau km gakuat dingin, na indo saramiya.. hehe..

Trus di meja baru kita ngobrol lagi, aku bales kakao erica eonni (ktnya have fun sm youth, dia gatau aja gw cuma berduaan), and kirim dia foto. Abis makanannya dateng lengkap n banyak, KH pasang HP buat foto berdoa and TAKK, chuaa!! Lucunya dia kirim foto kita berdua ke Sun nya dia dong -______- untuk apa tuh sy kurang faham juga, mgkn dia pikir mreka pd masi inget aku x ya. Trus dia kasi liat katalk bang nya: Nuna kata si .... you look so pretty today, do you remember her? Trus pas gw intip itu katalk bang isi nya godaan2 suit suit and sticker2 dari semua member dia HAHAHA, kenapa juga sih dia kasih liat gw kl dia di tease anak2.. Trus aku videoin dia, tp dia malu2 gt haha sorry darling. Trus yaudah kita makan, enak banget, aku makan kugi 1 aja, aku tau kamu suka. Trus aku blg aku diet, lgsg disamperin don't diet nuna. Trus dia tanya lagi: Nuna, tau ga drama 밥 잘 사주는 예쁜 누나? Do you know Son Ye Jin? Oh tau yg sama Jung Hae In? (kenapa coba ni anak nanya beginian pula, aku jadi geer, apakah ini kode?) Tp begonya hr itu aku blg tp Jung Hae In nae style anichi, na Seon Sukku chua. Btw. aku ketemu mereka di mall, random bgt pas lg jalan sm Bella. Trus dia tnya nuna tau DP dong? Ternyata dia banyak nonton drama juga ya.. Trus kita ngomongin Jihoon, krn kynya lagi ngom Sun. KH bilang Jihoonineun na geokjong mana, trus aku jawab Na do ara. Wae? Weinanamyeon hyungiya?

KH: no, nai ga cuma beda 1 tahun sbenernya.

MN: but he has a strong character ya? Na do ara, na chukeum gokjong

KH: he? nuna otoke ara? kok bisa kita samaan gokjong ttg dia

MN: mula, geunyang ara hehe..

Abis makan, aku ke wc lagi, gwanghui bayar, aku bilang makasih banyak (kok gw ga ada niat bayarin pula ya -_-) makasih ya nae chuahanen 'dongsaeng'. Trus kita buru2 jalan ke tempat nonton film ramyeon apa gt, dia juga yg antri dan bayarin. Aku di sebrang malah ngadem and video2. Heran deh kok i wasn't being hesitate or niat bayar ya? skrg gw jadi kepikiran. Trus akhirnya kita masuk ke theater kecil gt, bner2 sesuatu yg baru buat aku.. I felt very well taken care of, karena smua bner2 asing buat aku tp KH take care of everything, dia yg tulisin tiket etc aku cm tau beres, ooo GwangHui Oppa, gomawoyo~ hahaha..

Trus nonton deh itu drama romantic comedy yg lucu dan pemainnya cakep2 ganteng2, dia nanya noona understand? gitu2 trus aku cm perhatiin aja ky perlu konsentrasi gt krn bhs korea, trus ga inget ngobrol apapun sih krn gelap jg, tp aku ngintip GH sempet ketiduran gt, aku ga tega bgt kynya dia pasti capek ya.. tp seingetku aku full senyum selama nonton, trus ada lagu2 dari reply 1994 dan byk yg aku tau bner2 nae style, chemistry pemainnya dapet, kok bisa ya gwanghui arrange gitu, tp kynya mmg smua uda diatur Tuhan aja sih, everything was just so enjoyable. Duh ngetiknya pun aku full senyum2 ni.. 

Trus uda selesai kita lewat lorong tangga gt, aku foto2 trus antri k wc, lipstickan bentar, seneng deh kluar WC tuh ada cowo yg nungguin sambil bilang: dwaesso? trus kita liat2 dikit lg theater n pemain hr itu yg posternya di pajang di dinding, n ada ky photobooth gt dia bilang: noona yeogi bwhappa, trus he took a picture of us di mesin photoboxnya ada tulisan ramyeon itu hahaha.. so sweet..

Abis gt kita ternyata masih punya banyak waktu trus dia tnya mau ngap? aku bilang pengen noraebang.. trus kita jalan lah berdua, nyebrang ke tempat noraebang.. aku impressed bgt krn tempatnya bagus n baru. GH urus2 payment and lead us to the room, ternyata ky dapet tutup sarung gt, trus GW bliin minum jg, tnya noona mau minum apa? Dia bli aqua aku bli ky coconut gt..

The Grammy Award winning artist never disappoints when it comes to fashion on the carpet for her annual gala and this year was no different. The “Work” singer served up old Hollywood glam in a black Givenchy haute couture gown from Claire Waight Keller's Fall 2019 collection. The gown featured a high neck, long sleeves, and a sheer white cage skirt at the hem.

Rapper Fabolous and Emily B are still together.

Over the summer, drama popped off online after flicks of Fabolous having lunch with a woman surfaced.   During the action, Bardi experienced a faux pas. She apparently outbid herself during the charity portion of the event where she was trying to nab Rih's upcoming coffee table book.

PEOPLE reports:

At first, Cardi bid $106K on the designer table top book, even though the auctioneer had asked for $110K. After another bidder rang in at $107K, the singer upped her bid to $108K before bidding a final $111K — $1,000 more than the auctioneer had asked for.

“Do you know how this works?” the auctioneer joked, but Cardi — who attended the event with husband Offset — appeared unbothered and celebrated with her hands in the air as she won the coffee table book.

BLACKPINK's Jennie makes her first post on Weverse, sends fans into frenzy

BLACKPINK's global reach doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon, with the creation of a community on the popular fan-artist-interaction platform Weverse, with Jennie commemorating the event!Weverse is an online platform used by fans to officially communicate with artists who have an official community on the platform. The app was developed by HYBE Corporation (previously known as BigHit Entertainment). A few of the artists currently on the forum are BTS, TXT, Treasure, CL, and NU'EST.After Jennie's post, it seemed to have rubbed some people the wrong way due to what is being referred to as a "glitch" on Weverse's part.

i don't have apple music so i don't really know about the shows but shouldn't they have different people for different genres of music? i seen a couple of zanes interviews and they're good but never thought of that bc rap isn't my thing

So to break it down to you, Apple Music has several shows just like every other platform but Zane Lowe, as the main host, is tasked to interview all the big, mainstream artists. For example, they might throw A$AP Rocky or YG or Playboi Carti to Ebro because they’re considered hip-hop artists with considerable following but their releases aren’t big enough to attract a mainstream audience. Whereas hip-hop artists who are BIG stars like Nicki or Drake or Kendrick put out highly anticipated releases that most people would have heard of, get the Zane Lowe treatment because they’re considered mainstream artists in their own right. Like Erica Banks is fairly new even if she has a hit on her hand so she went on Nadeska’s show, and Ebro got Jack Harlow, Rico Nasty, 2Chainz, etc. because they’re strictly rap artists. 

I feel like it makes sense for Apple to have 1 main interviewer that can cover all genres but since hip-hop as a genre has seen rapid growth in the last five years and it’s undeniably one of the most popular genre currently, Zane Lowe should be better prepped to handle those interviews imo. He’s always so much well-informed and introspective when he interviews indie or pop artist because he knows the right questions to ask. He either needs to read up more/do better research OR Apple should throw in someone else who hosts one of their hip-hop centric shows to co-interview

Janjian abis dzuhur tp oe udh bilang izin nyusul krn masih manggang. Kata bumil "ok dit, tp tolong jgn lama2 krn gak ada yg masak " daebak! Pdhl oe dah bilang mau nyusulnya pas udah ada makanan aja elaah jebakan batman

Krn oe lg males masak bnyk2 wkwk abisan mereka pengennya ngeliwet dan lalala ya walaupun tinggal gorang goreng ya, tp atuh tahunya enakan digoreng tepung, lalab kedah diwasuh, telur dadar, asin sambal, sayur asem, dll

Day 10 - 6 Aug 2023

Goodmorning, started with drive thru McD, Yoora & Imo got ready and first we drop Imo to Hyundai Dept Store as she had to work. Then we're headed to church, parked and I directly headed to the main room to sit with Bella. Was quite sleepy and just follow through.. Kamcagi Bella bilang suru ikut berdiri -__- aigooo.. afterwards, we're heading to Indonesia worship where I met ci Yenny for last and Sisco + Salomo aswell.. Ada Jihoon, ada Hakman juga, and ofcourse hihii nemenin Yoora.. then we went to have lunch with Erica Onni, discussing whether the food is expensive place/not etc, tiba2 dibayarin sm Jei Appa ChangSejin huhu kamsahamnida.. Twas very nice meal, and suddenly gw ditelp orang arsitek temennya Pak Ferry (ora jelas). Minum vitamin dari hakman yg ok bgt langsung poop coy.. then buru2 gitu we're headed to Chongnyeon Yebe.. I sat next to Yoora and Salomo, twas a blessed time that I will remember forever, I was quite sad that was my last Youth Service during that summer in Korea.. Yoora ajak joget2 and finally it finished, we had to have Sun with 237 darakbang genk.. twas nice to share with Wiliam, Oz guy, The US girl, Jinny, Sungchan, etc. I went pretty fast, we said goodbye and again directly dianter Salomo ke tempat ibadah Indo because the youth members + Han Jibsanim has prepared many gifts for us.. So happy to see familiar faces again (didn't expect GH to be there and true he wasn't, hakman too). I was so happy to see Seungmin, Donghyun, Jungsoo + husb, Gukyeong (yg of course flirty and nempel2), Ire, Yeneung, Byeonghu, Zion and many more.. Bella gave another farewell message, we took picture and said byebye.. They gave me many seonmul, notes, pair of clothes, necklace+bracelete huhuuu terharu mereka pasti banyak ngumpulin uang untuk patungan..

Afterwards, rasanya capek banget but yet I have to stay strong because we have to go to Ha Ok Sun Jangronim's house.. sekenyang apapun, I was so amazed by her huge and fancy apartment (Yoora dropped us off). She was already busy preparing many foods for us, her husband also so busy talking to Bella and gave many questions. Twas very special dinner.. we had galbitang yg aku inget banget, jamur, salad, and many any things that Jangronim prep herself from the scratch.. huhuu terharu banget.. abis gt dia kupasin buah2 korea yang enak banget... she let us use her fancy bathroom and fancy toileteries.. but then I also found out how hard her husband is..

He also asked us to watched makjang drama together as it was majimak episode -___-'' ngakak lah, otak gw udah gak berfungsi sebenernya.. then I left my phone on the room, didn't touch because we're busy with answering both jangronim and jibsanim.. I mandi and pinjem gunting kuku, ngobrol2 bentar and nyobain duduk di cafe jangronim huhu.. seneng bgt dianggep ky anaknya sendiri.. trus dikasih celana and dress bekas anaknya dong, seneng banget akutu mesti koperku makin berat aahhaha

Kamchagi, I checked my phone ada message dari shannen lah tentang oppa korea bla3 1 jam lalu, but what made me most surprised is: Kakaotalk from Gwang Hui 43 menit lalu HAHAHAHAHA even now that I typed it, I'm smiling so wide 2:30 PM 23 Oct 2023, wow what a timing..

Gwanghui tanya gmn schedule aku minggu depan, karena dia libur tgl 7 & 8 (as he said early last week when I first arrived in Korea, I still remembered but I didn't think that he truly mean it and will follow up to spend time with me^^). So the fact that he did, just made me more interested in him. So we're talking and I said let's do on 8th because on 7th I will be occupied with my Singaporean friend.

Then he said: noona mau apa? pgen makan apa? i was only thinking that we had a quick coffee time before I headed to Gangnam and meet jibsanimdeul, but he asked: what about meeting at 12PM? Lunch, watch theather... He even made a sort of presentation of what kind of food to choose (so cutee).. I of course choose the cheapest one that hopefully not burdening him..

And I said: ok I want to watch theater hehe.. then he called me with Kakao talk ahhaaha..oh my I was so nervouse.. Bella was in the room, Jangro/Jibsa went to their room already, so I hide and go to outside room to not make a noise.. sumpah ky anak remaja ngumpet2 telepon pacaran :''''''D sumpah ngakak ngetiknya pun, aduh darah aku langsung naik seperti adrenalin di pump.. abisnya kamchagi banget gwanghui telp.. yg aku inget cuma: noona, jal deurojotso? aku bilang eo, awalnya putus but now i can hear.. trus ngom apa, pake bahasa apa aku juga ga faham kok bisa nyambung and kita telp hahahihi lumayan lama.. yg aku inget dia tanya: noona mau nonton apa? thriller? romantic comedy? then I said romcom chua.. trus dia tanya noona dimana? Aku di rumah HaOkSun Jangronim.. dia bilang gpp besok pas ketemu aku jemput aja di rumahnya.. then I said engga, besok aku udah pindah hotel di sheraton sama chinggu (bolak balik lama baru dia ngerti)... trus gatau ngom apa lagi sumpah gainget tp seneng banget and I smiled all the time, gatau berapa lama ga pernah ky gitu.. and the best thing always happened when it's unexpected ya.. hixx Tuhan makasih banget ya kasih aku pengalaman yg bikin my heart flutters again ky gini dan its towards a very nice guy from church, who means of what he said and treated me special huhu.. pokoknya aku inget malem itu aku gabisa tidur, panas dingin bahagia, liat hp terus, and try to recall what's going on and think about it as something that's extra special, specially orchestrated/arranged by God Himself huhu.. Tuhan I want to have faith like the Samaritan woman, even though I don't understand fully, I believed. FRESH START: Lauren London Cops $1.7 Million L.A. Cottage

  March 31, 2020 will mark one year since Lauren London’s life was turned upside down. The father of her youngest son/soul mate Nipsey Hussle was fatally gunned down outside of his Marathon Clothing Store. Since then, she has been carrying on the Grammy winner/activist’s life.

As she adapts to her new life after the death of the love of her life, she’s taking a step for a fresh start. The “Games People Play” actress recently purchased a $1.7 million cottage in Los Angeles. The beautiful Spanish-style abode – built in 1949 – sits behind walls and gates for privacy in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Sherman Oaks.

It may look small, but it spans over 2,600 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The home features a sparkling pool with an inset spa, a backyard BBQ center with bar-style seating, and a covered porch. A huge redwood tree offers shade in the front lawn.

Inside, the French-style double front doors open directly into a fireplace-equipped living room that connects both to an office/study, a formal dining area and a family room, the latter of which also sports a fireplace. The open-concept floorplan also features a new eat-in kitchen with luxury stainless appliances and a whitewashed brick backsplash. Neutral decor and wide-plank hardwood floors flow throughout the home, all custom-installed by the previous owners, “Days of Our Lives” and “Devious Maids” actor Matt Cedeño and his longtime wife Erica Franco.

The unconventionally shaped abode — it’s quite long and narrow, and only the rear half has an upper level — continues on into a cozy step-down media room/lounge tucked beneath the staircase. Up above is the master suite, which includes a private balcony, a walk-in closet with custom built-ins and a black-and-white bath with dual vanities, a soaking tub and rainfall showerhead. Most recently, Lauren and Nipsey’s family accepted the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for his track “Racks In The Middle,” featuring Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy during the 2020 Grammy Awards. They were also in the audience for the special Grammy tribute to Nipsey (that also featured Kobe Bryant) by DJ Khaled, John Legend, Meek Mill, Roddy Ricch, and Kirk Franklin. Nip scooped up a second Grammy for his feature on DJ Khaled's "Higher" with John Legend.

In memory of Nip, Puma and The Marathon Clothing will reissue pieces from their collection together on February 1st. The collection is named “Hussle and Motivate,” carrying on the legacy of his clothing line. The pieces were first released in September 2019. The “Hustle and Motivate” campaign features Lauren and his homies YG, J. Stone, and Pacman Da Gunman.

The west coast rapper’s final album Victory Lap also reached platinum status and he was awarded certified plaques during a pre-Grammy event. Lauren and Nips close friends were there to accept the awards.

Dari SD - SMP - SMK - Kuliah aku selalu jadi orang yang mostly gak disukai sama temen-temen

Itu yang bikin aku berpikir kalo aku berbeda dari yang lain, sekaligus ada yang salah sama diri aku

Dari SD sampe SMK aku takut sama tanggapan orang-orang tentang aku, tatapan mereka, diskriminasi mereka. Mungkin yang paham tentang aku cuma beberapa orang yang bisa dihitung pake jari (with proud i say her name, erica)

Waktu kuliah aku jadiin “sesuatu yang salah” ini menjadi karakter aku, aku mau membuat orang-orang berpikir kalo aku adalah orang yang rebel, egois, grumpy, tegas, independent. Sampe akhirnya, image ku udah bener-bener hancur, sengaja.

Jujur aku gak mau orang lain jadi jahat krn berteman sama aku, aku gak mau temen-temenku punya image yg buruk sm kyk aku, aku takut mereka ikut-ikutan apa yg aku lakuin, aku selalu bilang sama mereka “aku aja, kalian jgn”

Tapi aku akhirnya sampe titik dimana, aku gak berniat untuk terlihat baik dimata manusia. Udah terlalu banyak manusia yang menganggapku gak baik, gak ada cara buat mengubah pandangan mereka ke aku, kecuali aku mendekat diri ke Allah.

Aku sekarang selalu berusaha untuk terlihat baik di mata Allah, aku serahkan urusan kehidupan sosialku ke Allah, kalo Allah meridhoi untuk menjadikan aku orang yang baik di mata orang, ya pasti aku gak perlu capek-capek untuk meyakinkan orang-orang bahwa aku baik, karena ya aku merasa bukan orang baik, tapi biarkan, biar Allah ku yang menilai diriku ini.

Body Shaming

Hello guys, udah lama banget ngga nulis.

Oh well, sekarang udah ada niatan lagi buat nulis karna udah gak tahan banget nampung ini semua. So here we go.

Sebelumnya, I'm so sorry if I was hurt yourself. Tapi yg ada disini gue kasih nama samaran kok.

Gue erica, dengan badan yg gemuk. Cewek gemuk yg sering dihina-hina, berat gue 78kg. Sebenernya gue udah biasa sih kena body shaming, jangankan sama temen sama sodarapun udah semua nya body shaming-in gue.

Awalnya gue selalu ga ambil pusing orang mau ngomong apa sih because You Only Live Once! Tapi kadang ada orang yg menurut gue udah kelewatan banget. Bahkan bisa bikin gue sampe tiba2 nangis baca messagesnya.

Temen gue ini anggota tentara dan satunya temen gue di jaman SMK. Gak tau ada angin apa tiba2 selalu ungkit tubuh, apalagi temen gue yg dari SMK ini. So far gue ga pernah membalas kejahatan mereka, but sorry I can't be your friend anymore. Maaf, karna udah sakit hati banget.

Ada yg body shaming-in gue dengan alasan supaya gue semangat buat kurus atau acuan buat gue. Asal lu tau aja selama ini gue udah squat, puasa, zumba, jogging dll. Gue ga bilang karna nanti pasti dipatahin kayak "sok bisa" "sok kuat" "ah palingan berapa meter doang" kalian tuh ga pernah liat usaha orang.

Gue udah no comment banget sama orang yg body shaming-in gue. Ok kalo ada yg nanya "kenapa musti baper?" "ambil sisi positivenya kali" GUE DIHINA2 DI GRUP, yg baca lebih dari 2 orang dan gue malu banget disitu dan kenapa ga personal chat aja? ngasih tau baik2, nyemangatin baik2 tapi kenapa di grup? sumpah gak pernah gue sesakit hati ini karna orang. Trus setiap chat juga yg dibahas fisik lagi fisik lagi setiap hari bahas fisik. Gue ga pernah comment kekurangan orang supaya kekurangan gue juga gak dicomment! Tapi ternyata gak ngaruh apa-apa. Bye bye toxic people.

Sebenernya body shaming kayak gini bener2 ga bagus buat mental gue. Karna gue ga berani ketemu orang baru, jujur takut. Takut dia ilfeel, takut ga diterima. Jadi bener2 minder. Setakut itu. Bahkan baru pertama kali ketemu orang baru yg keluar dari mulut mereka ya bahas fisik. Emang kenapa sih sama fisik gue gitu? Berusaha bodo amat tapi sakit karna bukan jadi selera orang cuma gara2 fisik. Pengen ngomong "apa lu udah sempurna?" tapi inget diri ini jg jauh dari kekurangan. Cuma rasa percaya diri yg bisa nopang gue jadi orang yg sekuat ini.

Gue gak apa2 sebenernya, yg hina gue gak 1/ 2 orang tapi lebih. Kenapa ga kurus? Tujuan gue gak buat kurus tapi buat sehat. Minim kalo kurang kurus seenggaknya sehat. Yg kurus mau gendut yg gendut mau kurus. Gak bakal ada udahnya kalo kayak gitu. Tapi gue mau bilang terimakasih juga karna mungkin itu usaha kalian buat nyemangatin gue juga. Thank you so much.
