Yay first request for yyh! Tysm Anon-chan :)

This is gonna be headcanons only, because it’ll get too long if I do it in scenarios that it’ll pass the character limit T-T

I hope you all (and anon-chan) enjoy this! Reader here is Gender Neutral (they/them)

REMINDER: These characters dont belong to me to Yoshihiro Togashi. This is also fictional work so please try not to take this too seriously :)

~Yusuke Urameshi~

- First of all, this man is protective, but not too much that his babysitting you.

- He hates seeing you get hurt tho...your one of the most precious people to him so if he sees you getting hurt...he’ll actually go berserk. Especially if you're human and have no abilities whatsoever.

- Since he has a lot of enemies, they will use you against him, and when they do, trust me they’ll get spirit gun-ed outside of existence lol

- If your injury is a minor one, then he isn’t really all that worried! He just lets you deal with it since he knows you can take care of it yourself.

- But if its a serious one...expect him to get really mad, he’ll start asking you questions like ‘Who did this to you?’ or ‘Give me their name!’ basically like an angry Bakugo.

- Once you give him a name, he’ll go and teach that person or demon a lesson. Don’t worry about him, his not the one getting hurt after all :)

- When his done, he’ll ask Genkai (Because you were brought to her) how your doing, and ones he knows your gonna be fine. He’ll rest easy and go to you and scold you.

- In reality, he really is worried about you...I mean you've stuck yourself to him this far, and he knows how insufferable he is sometimes.

- So don’t leave him early...alright?

‘’Dumbass...I told you not to involve yourself and now look at you...thanks for sticking with me I guess...’’

~Kazuma Kuwabara~

- His an absolute sweetheart, the first thing he’ll do when your hurt is to make you smile<3

- For him if your happy his happy, but it doesn't mean that he isn't mad at whoever hurt you. He will stick his spirit sword up their ass you bet yea he will.

- If its a minor injury, he’ll just kiss the pain away! he saids, which earned him a bonk from Shizuru lol

- He also lets you pet and cuddle his cat. Eikichi, yea he’ll get jealous because he wants to cuddle with you but he’ll tolerate it, because you both are so cute :3

- If its serious...you best believe he’ll start panicking, he’ll calm down once your fine but...his still worried and also sad that he couldn't protect you...

- Like his supposed to be your knight in shining amor! The best boyfriend to you! So his actually really sad. Once you noticed that his upset, please comfort him :(

- But all in all, he’ll try and make you smile and happy because to him, he doesn't wanna see you sad or hurting. No....thats not what a man does!

‘’Do you need anything more honey!? Ah you want Eikichi? Alright I'll get her right away! Don’t worry you're knight in shining amor is here to serve you!’’

~Yoko Kurama~ (Shuichi Minamino)

- Lets just say the person who hurt you won’t be alive for that long. No, their not gonna get a beating, oh no, their actually gonna face the wrath of Yoko Kurama. No one touches what's his.

- Now since we have Yoko and Shuichi, Shuichi would most likely have a chat with that person first and then see what he wants to do, but Yoko on the other hand, would want to kill that said person.

- But the thing is, he can’t do that, or otherwise the spirit world will be on his ass about it...so a little torturing wouldn't hurt....right?

- Also if this was a demon obviously that said demon who hurt you is gonna die a slow death, like Elder Toguro for example :)

- If its a human...well I guess scaring that human to death is more then appropriate~

- If its a minor injury that was caused by you, his fine with that! He’ll just ask you to be careful next time :)

- But if someone causes it...well their getting a way to calm smile from him :>

- After his dealt with everything, he goes back to check up on you, if your fine then he’ll smile lovingly at you, only you get to see that smile by the way ;3

- He’ll whisper sweet words to you, cuddle you, comfort you, words of promises, and basically be the best (fox) boyfriend you can ask for!

‘’My love, are you sure your alright? Would you like some cuddles? My love...please do know that no matter what, I’ll protect you..’’

~Hiei Jaganshi~

- Looks like he doesn't care but actually cares, when his informed of you getting hurt minor or serious, he isn't exactly gonna be by your side in an instant. More like just watching you from afar.

- His a silent protector by all means, his like Xiao (from genshin) a protector who would rather follow you and look after you from afar (isn't that stalking?)

- If its a human then he can’t really kill that human...because of that damn spirit world so he’ll...just give them a warning.

- If its a demon, then that demon is gonna be burned to a crisp aka ashes. Thats all.

- When he finally decided to visit you, he’ll call you an idiot for putting yourself in danger like that, but on the inside (he just won't admit it) he does care. He just doesn't know how to show it.

- If you ask him to stay by your side while you rest, he’ll complain yet he’ll actually stay by your side until you're healed.

- Hiei will show that he cares through small actions, such as, carrying you wherever you wanna go (With a complain) and actually cuddling you :0

- Hiei loves you, he just doesn't know how to show it but he does, and trust me. Anyone who hurts you, will be burned to ashes.

‘’Hmph..your an idiot if you thought that you could take on a demon like that, what? now you want me to carry you around? Hmph.....your lucky...’’

Revelations

Synopsis: It's no secret Kurama's soft on you. But when his demon form finally sees the light after hundreds of years, the fact only further cements itself.

It's surreal to think just a few weeks ago you were an ordinary high school student. A few weeks ago you had been completely oblivious to your best friend’s secret life. A few weeks ago, he'd been walking you home like he'd always done.

Talking about everything and nothing at the same time. Visiting his mother in the hospital before you took off to your job at some ramen place to earn a few extra bucks. A simple life it was.

Uneventful but peaceful.

Now here you were in some stuffy hotel, cheering on said best friend as he fought in a tournament. A demon tournament, if you may add. Where death was always a possibility and he and his friends were constantly fighting for their lives. One of which was the boyfriend of your boss’s daughter. And thank goodness she was or else you probably never would have known what was going on with Shuichi.

You never would have had a clue as to why he was suddenly absent from your life. Where he suddenly vanished to when the day before, he'd talked about having a ‘study date.’ How, now that his mother was better, it'd be nice to have a proper dinner between the three of you. Talks of the future, like you'd wake up and he'd be right there.

Turns out it was all a lie.

That first day you'd checked everywhere for him. It wasn't until you went to work that you met up with Keiko. Who was also suspicious of her boyfriend’s absence. The two men in question had seemingly vanished over night. And in your search for answers, you'd come across the sister of another guy who went missing.

Three in one day was no coincidence.

The common denominator? A blue haired woman who was apparently a grim reaper. A few threats from Shizuru had her spilling everything. How Shuichi, sweet dorky Shuichi, was a demon. And a prolific one at that. How all three of the boys, plus another demon, were forced to fight in this tournament. Or else they'd die along with everyone they cared about.

It made sense why they'd all left in the middle of night without a word. Why he left you without saying anything. You understood the circumstances, and you didn't hold it against him. You couldn't hold that against him. But… But you two told each other everything. Or at least you thought you did.

Which leads you to where you are now. Sitting anxiously across from Kurama the night before the semi finals. He'd already had one close call with death. You didn't think you could take it if he had another.

Kurama didn't like you being here as it was. Going as far as to scold you after his first match for following him. Seeing you cry after his fight with Touya didn't help your case either. You figured his concern was purely out of obligation. Not wanting to be responsible if you somehow got hurt.

Oblivious to the warm gazes directed at you when you weren't looking. The way he searched for you in the stands before every match. How he always offered you his hand when you'd go out. You were probably the only person he let get close enough to tend to his wounds.

It wasn't like he ever hid his soft spot for you. If anyone took the time to analyze his actions, it was easy to tell he cared quite a lot about you. More than a friend should.

“You're awfully quiet.” He spoke, snapping you from your thoughts.

“I'm just…” You didn't know how exactly to explain what you were feeling. To put your overwhelmed senses into words.

Truth was you were terrified. Terrified for Shuichi and terrified for his friends. You were terrified of waking up tomorrow and him not coming back to you.

“Worried.” you settled on.

He gave a thoughtful hum before scooting closer to you. You could feel the warmth radiating off of his skin. The sweet smell of roses accompanying it. Your relationship with the redhead had always been touchy. Never shying away from affection towards one another. So you hardly minded when he moved to cup your cheek. Guiding your gaze to meet his.

“We'll win. Just one more match until we're in the finals.”

So sure, he sounded so sure that you couldn't help but believe him. Emerald eyes filled with determination. You used to joke that he was hypnotizing you with them. So pretty that you couldn't focus on anything else except him. The theory seemed more plausible now that you knew he wasn't exactly human.

“And then we can go home,” he promised.

But you still had your doubts.

“Yeah? Yusuke and the ‘masked fighter’ still aren't back. And the enemies just keep getting stronger.”

The hurdles just keep getting bigger, and you didn't think the four of them could keep up anymore. Too much had been thrown at them.

“Can you really win like this?”

You could see the conflict brewing behind his eyes. Try as he might, Kurama could never hide his emotions from you. You knew the answer before he said it.

“We have to.” Careful, always so careful with his choice of words. Not promising you a for sure victory, but reaffirming what you already knew. You knew what he wanted to say…But you also knew he couldn't admit it. Not to you and not to himself.

The real answer- He doesn’t know.

“Tomorrow's a big day, let's get some rest.”

A sign the conversation had drawn to a close. You weren't in the mood to push anyways. So you followed him to his room. The both of you slipping into the same bed, with Shuichi's arms wrapping tightly around you. Most likely the last time he'd ever get to hold you.

Tomorrow came far too soon. There was still no sign of Yusuke and the masked fighter, meaning the team would be at a complete disadvantage. If you had any semblance of martial arts training, you would have volunteered to take one of their places. Though truthfully you knew you wouldn't have been able to put up much of a fight.

You slipped into your own room to get ready, mentally preparing yourself for the day. Surprisingly, there was no one in the lobby waiting. You couldn't help but wonder where the girls were. Usually all of you went to the arena together. For safety purposes, of course. Perhaps they'd already made their way there? They didn't seem like the type to get up early, but maybe just this once they'd made the effort.

Apparently you were dead wrong.

You'd searched everywhere in the stands, testing your luck and even asking a few demons if they'd seen them. No luck. You were completely on your own. It didn't help that this new stadium was 10 times bigger than the old one. No one would even notice if something happened to you here.

You really only had two two options before the match started. You could stay here, surrounded by bloodthirsty demons who were starting to eye you with drool. Or you could go down to where Shuichi and his friends were, right in front of all the action and potentially get hurt.

It was a no brainer what you’d choose. Besides, he'd never let you get hurt on his watch. And you trusted the other two with your safety when it would be his turn to fight. You didn't think they would be cruel enough to leave you wide open for injury. Or at least, Kuwabara would do his best. He'd proven he had the most humanity during this tournament.

Yeah, you were much safer near the actual fights than you were surrounded by demons. Begrudgingly, you made your way down. Dodging a few swipes directed at you before jumping over the railing. Your actions quickly catching the attention of Koto, the cat announcer.

“And who is that making their way over to Team Urameshi! Could this be their alternate fighter? Or perhaps one of their lovers~”

You cursed her for drawing attention directly towards you. Already feeling all eyes on you as you approached.

“What are you doing here?” Kurama questioned. The other two looked expectantly at you for your answer.

“I have no idea where the girls are. And I don't think it's a good idea for me to be up in that stadium by myself.”

He gave a hum, about to usher you closer to him when someone beat him to the punch.

“Well I'll protect ya, so don't worry!” Kuwabara assured. Pulling you close by your shoulders in a way that had you laughing. Unawares of the subtle way Kurama's eyes had narrowed.

“Thank you. That's very sweet.”

“Don't mention it. Nothing gets past me, so I'll let you know when to duck and cover.”

“If that's the case, they're better off in the stadium,” Hiei commented.

“What did you say, shrimp!” Kuwabara released you to get in his face. The two of them continuing to bicker while you laughed.

Your gaze caught Shuichi's and you offered an amused grin.

“Your friends seem fun. Can't believe you didn't introduce me to them sooner.”

“They’re not exactly the type you bring up in passing. And I doubt you would've believed I was associated with them,” he answered, though there was some mirth in his eyes that let you know he was teasing.

“Excuse me, I'd like to get back to the semi-finals now,” Juri, the fish announcer this time, interrupted.

It once again reminded you just where you were. What could happen if any of Kurama and his friends slipped up. You shouldn't be joking around causing a distraction. Not when lives were at stake. His life. Your anxieties only worsened when the first round begun.

Sure Hiei had managed to beat his opponent in under five minutes. But the brief second he'd disappeared made your heart stop. Unconsciously moving yourself closer to Kurama.

The second match was much worse. The burly man in front of Hiei using his sword to cut his own arm. Explaining how once his body had been exposed to a specific pain, it wouldn't affect him the next time he was hurt. It was only a matter of time before the smaller demon ran out of options. With his sword broken and his spirit energy depleted, he took a gamble.

The conclusion of the fight had felt so sudden. So brutal. Kuro Momotaro had seemingly won, his teeth piercing into Hiei's shoulder. The aftermath was a fountain of blood spraying out.

You’d flinched away at the sight, trying your best to shut out the triumphant cheers of the stadium. Only for them to go quiet as Hiei shoved the body off of him. The shape shifting demon now in pieces on the floor. Hiei was okay. And as he continued to antagonize Kuwabara, you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding.

It was easier to stomach the fights when you were with the girls. People who weren't desensitized to the carnage around them. Nobody had batted an eye down here. They all seemed used to it. Only further reminding you just how feeble and weak you were in their presence.

Hell, Hiei was practically begging for a round three despite his condition. The dice were brought out again, and you were praying to whatever God was up there it wouldn't land on Shuichi's name. You knew it wasn't fair. He needed to fight at some point. Judging by the determined expression on his face, he wanted to. But you didn't have a good feeling about this. You didn't want him to leave your side towards his potential death.

Please don't let it be him.

“Now fighting for Team Urameshi, Kurama. and for team Uraotogi, Uraurashima.”

Fuck.

You stood shakily next to Hiei and Kuwabara as Kurama stepped into the area. His opponent a young boy with a fishing pole. At least he looked easy to beat. It gave you momentary relief before both of them drew their weapons. Uraurashima’s fishing line clashing with Kurama's Rose Whip. Equally bouncing off of each other with no indication of one overpowering the other.

“They're evenly matched? Or is he not fighting for real?” You asked.

Hiei gave a bark of laughter at your observation.

“So you do know him well. Kurama's just fooling around. It's an obnoxious habit. He never creates his own strategy until he fully understands his opponent's.”

You were gonna strangle Shuichi when he was done fighting.

“Nice to know he over analyzes everything.”

You watched as they continued to have a stalemate. Though something had changed in Shuichi's expression. It was somber. Like he was contemplating something. Now was not the time for him to get distracted.

He let up on his assault along with his opponent. And right when he moved to haphazardly strike, Uraurashima dodged. Wrapping Kurama in his fishing line and pulling as hard as he could. Slicing into his skin.

You couldn't stop yourself from screaming out his name. Kuwabara instinctively pulling you behind him.

“Don't look, okay?”

Don't look? How could you not look. That was your best friend up there. No matter how badly you wanted to turn away, you couldn't. Looking on in horror as Uraurashima approached him. Surely Kurama had some other trick up his sleeve to protect himself?

But his eyes told you a different story. Frustration and anger. You don't think you've ever seen him mad before. He staggered on his feet, only for the onslaught to continue. It looked hopeless as he fled.

Your eyes widening with tears once he was cornered. There was nowhere to run. A forcefield in effect prevented him from doing so. His opponent presenting a box of some kind and opening it. Purple smoke poured out as he explained how it worked.

It would de-age Kurama. Turn him into a child where he couldn't defend himself. A cowards move. Only when the entire arena had been filled with smoke did your tears fall.

You were powerless to do anything. You couldn't help him even if you wanted to. Designated to nothing but a bystander in his fate. Your worst fear coming true.

It was silent for a moment. Complete silence as the Idun box worked its magic. Then all at once lightning struck. No, not lighting… it was a spike of spirit energy.

Your body shook as it tried to process the power around it. The force was almost strangling.

“Do you feel that, too?” Kuwabara asked before looking back at you. He visibly panicked seeing you struggle to breathe.

“Hiei! We need some help over here!”

The three eyed demon spared you a glance, giving an irritated huff as he pulled you towards him.

“Stand close to me. I should've known someone as weak as you wouldn't be able to withstand this much. Your body isn't used to this much spiritual pressure.”

He created a small barrier of his own energy around you. You took a few greedy gasps of air. Relieved to be able to breathe again. You offered a weak ‘Thanks.’ Still worried about what exactly was happening.

This power…Could it really have been Shuichi's? Or was it something else entirely? Was he even still alive?

“Where's all that weird energy coming from?” Kuwabara questioned.

Hiei only seemed to beam with pride.

“It's all Kurama. Down to the last drop.” He responded.

You wanted to start crying again. Your emotions all over the place. He was okay in there after all. Maybe he'd be able to find a way to win.

“But it feels different somehow, and a heck of a lot more powerful,” Kuwabara pointed out.

“That fool he's been fighting has turned him back into his demon form. Before he was tainted by you humans.” Hiei explained.

That caught your attention. A part of you defensive at his words.

“Tainted? It's not like we made him stay.” Like you'd ruined him with your presence.

“No, not directly. That doesn't change the fact you made him weaker. Soft.”

You wanted to question him about what he meant, but the sound of something crashing through the barrier stopped you. All at once the smoke started pouring out. The forcefield itself was destroyed. In a matter of seconds the arena was clear.

In its wake was a red demon with its neck pierced by a sword. Further away was….No. That couldn't be.

“Shuichi?”

You regretted calling out to him as soon as his name left your lips. The silver haired demon’s head snapped towards you. The pair of ears on his head seemed to twitch at your voice.

He was different, so very different from the man you knew. His demeanor felt cold. You briefly remembered what he used to be: a fox. If the ears and tail didn't already give it away. Wild and unpredictable. If your friend was in there, it sure didn't look like it.

You trembled at the intensity from his gaze. He made a gesture with his hand, as if reaching out before you felt the ground give way. You could feel yourself fall back, landing on something soft. You hardly processed yourself moving up until you were about ten feet off the ground. You realized then what you were on top of. A type of giant leaf was carrying you.

What the hell was going on? What was gonna happen to you?

You felt the leaf shift forward, and that was when you decided to call for help. For the one person who would probably know what to do.

"Hiei, help me!” You tried to reach down, but he backed away.

You let out a scream this time as the leaf rushed forward. Kuwabara tried to reach for you, but he was stopped by the three eyed demon.

“What gives!?!? Why aren't you helping them!?!”

“Fool. Don't interfere or you'll wind up dead.”

You couldn't hear them as you were pulled towards the other side of the area. Vaguely aware of Koto’s comments.

“Now this just took an interesting turn! The mystery fighter has taken interest in the human on the field! Is he perhaps looking for his next meal?”

You were at the edge of the arena shaking. It only worsened as who you assumed to be Yoko made his way towards you. Taking slow and meticulous steps. Like a predator stalking it's cornered prey.

Why you?

Why did it have to be you?

Why did you have to go and open your big fat mouth?

Maybe he wasn't satisfied with his previous fight. Wanting to take out whatever pent up aggression he had on you. A human who just so happened to be on the field. His expression hadn't changed once since he set his sights on you. Maybe he really was planning on eating you. It's not like it was against the rules.

He was halfway to you now. You could barely hear over the sound of your heartbeat in your ears.

“We'd really like to move on to the next match now, if you don't mind,” Juri said, now back to normal.

“Quiet.”

One word was all it took to have her trembling.

“Or not! Take your time.”

His voice sounded gruff. Harsher than any tone you'd heard him use. You knew Shuichi, or rather Kurama. The boy who used to give you flowers everyday after school until he got teased for it. The boy who loved his mother more than anything. The boy who you'd never known to like senseless violence. You knew he would never hurt you. Never dream of hurting you. But this…This was not him.

A quarter of the way there.

And then he was right in front of you.

This was Yoko. An infamous demon who’d committed heinous crimes. Far too many to count. Who could kill you with no more than a swipe of his hand. And he probably would. Sharp claws on the end of each fingertip. More than enough to finish you off.

You trembled on top of the giant leaf as his gaze pierced through you. His eyes didn't hold the same warmth as Shuichi's. The familiar emerald green replaced by a faded gold. They were cold. The color so light it held nothing but ice. You continued to shake in front of him. Hoping to catch a glimpse of your best friend.

“Do you fear me, sweetling?” He spoke at last.

Your words were stuck in your throat. Unable to answer him. Fearing what would happen if you didn't.

His hand started to extend out towards you. You'd flinched and closed your eyes at the sudden movement. Expecting the worst. This was it. He was gonna slash your throat. You braced yourself for the inevitable pain…but it never came.

Instead, he'd cupped your cheek. His thumb swiping away a stray tear. An action reminiscent of Shuichi. Your Shuichi.

“You shouldn't. Open your eyes and look at me.”

You could feel your trembling ease up. Was this a game? If it was, should you play along? You didn't know what to think at the moment. If you should relax in his presence or run. But there was something about the way he was cradling your face. It was gentle. So against your better judgment, you opened your eyes. Taking a deep breath as he guided your face up.

You looked into his golden irises in search of your best friend. They weren't as cold this time. Flecks of the emerald you were used to. The softness he looked at you with had returned. Or maybe it had never really left. Your shaking had stopped completely.

“Shuichi?” you called out once more. And this time he'd smiled at you. Somehow managing to get closer into your space. But you couldn't say you minded much. Your relationship had always been touchy.

“We are one in the same. Though it's a shame he hasn't staked his claim on you yet. I will not forgo the opportunity should we meet again.”

Your face scrunched in confusion at his words. Temporary moving out of his grasp.

“What do mean stake his claim?”

His expression turned amused at your question.

“Isn't it obvious? You're ours. Our precious little mate. Shuichi is hesitant to act on his feelings. But I am not.”

You felt the leaf shift down. Letting Yoko once again cup your face. This time guiding you to bump your forehead against his.

“I am yours devotedly until the end of time.”

You could feel your face burning with embarrassment. This whole time he'd liked you. Even in his purest form he was in love with you. Why had you been so scared of losing him?

Because you'd loved him too.

“Do my ears deceive me!?!? He's actually flirting with the human!?!? Well there goes my weekend.”

But this wasn't the place for that. He couldn't be distracted by you here. There was too much at stake. Maybe when this whole tournament was over, you could properly explore these feelings.

He was leaning closer to you.

Would you turn him away if he kissed you now?

You decided the tournament committee could shove it as his lips brushed over yours.

But before they could press down fully, a heavy fog engulfed him. He'd backed away from you. The silhouette of a fox appearing for a brief second. Then it vanished, into a ray of light with one last thing to say.

“Until we meet again, sweetling.”

The light had been so blinding, you had no choice but to look away. When the dust had settled, in front of you was a familiar redhead. His tail and ears completely gone. He'd retained his previous injuries. But other than that, he was fine. He stood in front of you with an unreadable expression.

“Are you kidding me!?!? After all that we didn't even get a proper kiss!!!! Where's the entertainment in that!?!”

All at once his face went red. He was almost never flustered. Then again, his feelings were just aired out to the entire stadium. Your relationship was aired out. You knew he was a private person, so this must've felt humiliating. The cooing from the audience sure as hell didn't help.

He scooped you off of the giant leaf without a word. Surprising you with how easily he picked you up. Clutching you close to him as he made his way off the arena. His face was burning, matching your expression.

“My apologies.” he said quietly.

You could do nothing but put your head between his neck and shoulder. Wanting to hide yourself from everyone's prying eyes.

“It's okay. I didn't mind. I mean, at first you scared me. But once I saw it was really you..” you trailed off.

There was a brief silence before Shuichi spoke again.

“You reciprocated Yoko’s advancements.”

“I reciprocated your advancements.” Because they were one in the same. Although it was a little amusing to see him get jealous of himself.

“I would've let you kiss me too.” you added.

He'd finally reached the end of the area and jumped down with you still in his arms.

“I plan making good on that promise once we finish up here.”

"Can't you even look me in my eyes anymore?" ... Your voice was cracked even though you tried not to admit it. Kurama had avoided you for a few weeks without any reason or explanation, despite the fact that your friendship with the fox had recently blossomed fantastically close. Kuramas head hung low and he remained silent. "If I've done anything wrong .. Then please tell me, but do not punish me for pushing me off of you .." you added quietly and looked down at the ground. A salty substance fell from your cheek to the floor.

Kurama noticed the fallen tear from the corner of his eye and looked up immediately. He never saw you crying before. You always was a kind-hearted, smiling woman who caused your fellow human beings' moods to brighten with your warming smiles. And now you were crying and he was the reason.

“You did nothing wrong.“ finally he started to spoke. His eyes were closed firmly and his usual calm tone broke ever so slightly. You looked up at him and wiped away your tears after hearing his voice.

“Then tell me please, why are you avoiding me for weeks.“ you begged him. You had no idea what you did to him to make him upset..

The redhead sighed. “That's not easy to explain.“ he spoke after he got back his calm attitude that caused you to despair often. Because it was quite impossible to see what he thinks right now. “Try it.“ you spoke. You already calmed down from your emotional outburst. Still, you wanted answers.

He remained silent again in slight embarassment and his gaze turned away from you. “GODDAMNIT KURAMA!“

Suddenly your eyes widen in surprise when you were pulled against a strong chest. Kurama hugged you so tightly, you almost had problems to breathe anymore. Though his embrace was not too firm to hurt you. You looked up, puzzled, trying to estimate his facial expressions. His eyes were hidden behind some of his red strands that fell into his handsome face. And his mouth was quivering slightly as if he was just fighting his own tears. Since his mouth was open a bit from his quivering you saw his teeth clenched and his lip trembling.

"Kurama..?"

“Say no more, please. Could we just.. stay like this for a while?“ he asked, his voice quiet as his breath hit your ear. His head was leaning against yours during the embrace.

You gulped, his closeness made you nervous. Slowly, you just nodded silently that caused the fox to smile gratefully. His smile however, showed a vulnerable sorrow within him when he remembered a conversation with Hiei he had earlier.

[Flashback]

“I really thought you were smart, fox.“ Hieis cold voice echoed through Kuramas head.

“Hiei, my private life is none of your business.“ the redhead sighed and looked to the tree where Hiei sat and gazed at his friend appraising.

"I just want to save you from a mistake, because I have no desire to suffer because of it." Hiei replied bluntly. "Your ... feelings for her would only bring problems, not at least because she would be directly targeted by your enemies."

Kurama closed his eyes. It wasn't that he didn't thought the exact same before. It was risky, especially after what happened with Maya years ago. He decided to live a lonely life after this, he didn't wanted anyone close to him to be in danger because of him again.

“Hiei, it's not that she is just a civilian. [Y/n] is part of our group and is able to defend herself. There is no reason to warn me. I protect her.“ Kurama said with a stern voice. He just heard a heavy sigh in his mind.

“Fox, I won't explain every single detail to you why it's dumb and reckless, but you should be aware, that your human feelings fog your mind. Tch, who would have known that the ruthless and feared Yoko Kurama turned into a love sick human boy?“ Hiei scoffed, clearly not amused. “Hn, you don't have to take my advice, stubborn fox. But keep one thing in your mind. It's not just your human girl, you put in danger. We are all in the same boat, after all. Plus, she is just another weak spot from you and every enemy knows how to take advantage of it.“

This was the moment, Kurama started to think that Hiei was maybe right. He was not allowed by himself to put his friends – and you – into danger because of his selfish feelings of love.

“I understand, Hiei.“ “Hn, did you really, fox?“

[Flashback End]

After a while of holding close onto each other, you both lost balance from your hugging. Fortunately you were located in the living room of the Minamino household and landed on a couch. Since he avoided you during the day, you visited him at home to get your answers. Shiori, Hatanaka and his step brother happened to visit an old friend of Hatanaka, so you both were alone.

Because of the now sitting position, the angle of the embrace changed. Kuramas nose buried into the crook of your neck while he inhaled your scent. He tried to suppress a low purr because of your intoxidating smell and pulled you closer. When you noticed that he won't move or loose the hug, you put your arms around his neck to press your body flush against his. You still didn't understood why he was so touchy all of the sudden, but you didn't complained.

Kurama thought for a while during this physical affection. And then it hit him. It was far too late to lie about his feelings. It was too late to escape from what he was feeling.

"...[Y/n]." his breath danced over your skin and caused a shiver running down your spine. Your heart began to race, something Kurama surely noticed. “..:Yes..?“

“Whatever will happen in the future. I will protect you. I promise.“ he spoke softly and his embrace became more gentle but firm. Your bodies were so close that you almost felt his heartbeat when his chest was pressed against yours. „Forever. I'll protect you..“ Kurama added quietly.

There was a brief silence between both of you while you stood remained motionless in this position, until you adjusted a little. Before Kurama could look what you were doing, you pulled up his head by having both of your hands on his cheeks. His emerald orbs stared deep into your [e/c] ones with so much intensity.

“Kurama, you don't have to carry this burden all by yourself.“ you said, astonishing the Kitsune infront of you. „I know you always try to solve everything alone and protect your friends from harm. But even you are not invincible. We support you. You are not alone, you know? Yuusuke, Kuwabara.. even Hiei. And me of course. We are with you, no matter what. We support you, because we're friends. No.. we are more than that. We are like a family.“ you said with a heart-warming smile that made his heart skip a beat. „So.. Please.. Don't exclude us.. exclude me from your life anymore, because you seem to feel like this is the best for us. If you think I let go of you that easily, then I have to disappoint you.“

Your words made his eyes widen in disbelieve. They flashed golden for a second before he closed them again. “..Thanks.“ he just spoke and chuckled. Sometimes he felt like an idiot. He had known better that it was unable to push you away from him. Your smile widened and you caressed his cheeks lovingly. “You're welcome. Because.. Whatever happens, Kurama. I will always be by your side. No matter what, I will never stop to support you.“

Kurama smiled thankfully, before he sat up and released you from his grip. You blinked perplexed and a little disappointed that he ended your intimate pose you enjoyed so much. The redhead merely grinned at you when he saw your sulking form and pulled you into his lap. You gasped in suprise and put your arms around his neck again when you looked at him. „I just wanted to change this position into something more.. comfortable.“ he purred, his smirk still on his handsome face. He leaned his forehead against yours and both of you let out a content sigh. It felt incredible good to be so close. Kurama asked himself, how the hell he was able to avoid you for such a long time. He didn't understood.

„Thank you. Thank you for everything, [Y/n]“

„No, I have to be thankful Kurama. Because now you continue to allow me to be part of your life again. That means alot to me.“

Just Friends

An: Dropping this one before I watch the first episode of the live action today!!!!! Hope y'all enjoy.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" You chastised the red headed demon as you plucked another vine from his arm. Making sure to go over the injury with alcohol before wrapping it.

"Is that so?"

You met his amused expression with a glare. How this man could be so unfazed by a literal plant growing out of him, you'd never know. How he still found the energy to be cheeky was a mystery as well.

Although you knew it wasn't entirely his fault he was this injured. That damn tournament committee was partial to blame. Sabotaging Urameshi and his friends for no other reason than them being human. Betting money was another factor. Still, if Kurama hadn't been so cocky with the first demon, he wouldn't have been through hell after.

"Absolutely. You should've never fought twice in a row. Now look at you." You gestured towards the many open wounds on his chest.

"You're covered in blood. You're so damn lucky I'm studying to be a doctor." You dabbed more alcohol than you should've on a cotton ball before cleaning the scratches on his face.

A feeling of smugness when he let out a slight hiss.

"It hurts? Good. Maybe next time you'll learn to be more careful."

It was quite the sight to see. Kurama sitting obediently while you tended to his wounds. Letting you scold him without much complaint or push back. Kurama, a demon who'd lived hundreds of years with unfathomable knowledge, allowed you to call him stupid.

The most independent and arguably the most reserved, getting chewed out by a mere human.

It was funny, too. How he seemed to subtly lean into your touch. Closing his eyes while you wiped his face and releasing a content sigh when you finished. As if he were being pampered.

"You know I got injured pretty badly too. Maybe you should come clean my injuries." Yusuke called out. Though it was mostly meant to tease the fox demon.

You turned to face him at the same time Kurama's gaze hardened. A warning look directed at the spirit detective. But he could tell it wasn't really needed as you dismissed his offer.

"What am I the team doctor? I can't do all that 'magic power' stuff to heal what you've got going on." You gestured to the various brusing littered across Yusuke's body.

"You're best bet is Yukina."

"But you've got a delicate touch."

At his flirty tone you shot up from the bed and proceeded to chase him.

"I'll show you delicate!"

Kurama watched you go with a disappointed look. Missing your warmth besides him. Although he wasn't too happy with you being here, he couldn't deny being glad to have your familiar presence near him.

He had wanted to keep you far away from this. From his past that unfortunately intertwined with his present. Trying his best not to expose you to what he really was. A small part of him was still angry at Botan for bringing you here. But then again, she'd brought a prominent figure in each of his friends' lives as well. So he wasn't the only one dealing with this. He'd rather it be you than his mother wondering where he was.

Still, you were human. And a troublesome one at that. It was surprising you hadn't gotten in a brawl with a demon yet. Especially ones that were openly cheering for his demise.

You'd always been a bit protective of him. Having met as children when you defended him from being bullied for his fiery hair and oddly green eyes. Yelling and biting at the other kids until they left. Only to turn around and tell him he was gonna be your best friend from now on.

Something he thought was odd at the time. A human telling him what to do? Then again, he wasn't all that different from you in his new body. And he needed to be able to keep up appearances until he fully regained his powers. So he accepted and let you drag him where you pleased. He let you ramble about everything and nothing at the same time. He let you comfort him when his mother fell ill.

He grew to love having you in his life. Your lectures about how he shouldn't let others taunt him, even if he was fully capable of protecting himself. Though of course you didn't know that. He admired your ambition to enter the medical field so you could help the people who needed it. He looked forward to seeing your soft side that you'd only show to him after a long day.

You'd made him feel human.

Which is why he tried so hard to hide everything about his previous life from you. If you found out you'd most likely be scared or put in even more danger.

And he just couldn't risk losing you either way.

He tried cutting ties with you once, but you were a stubborn one. After what happened with Maya, he thought it was best you kept out of his life. Going as far as avoiding you. To which you responded by confronting him.

"If you don't want to be friends anymore, just tell me. Give me a straight answer instead of acting like a coward."

He was close to telling you he didn't want you around anymore, but the way you looked at him, with so much hurt and betrayal...He just couldn't find it in himself to let you go. Instead he asked you why. Why you didn't find him strange like the rest of your classmates. Why you spent so much time with him. Why it bothered you so much that he was ignoring you.

"Is that really what's bothering you? The answer should be obvious to a brainiac like you. You're important to me, Shuichi."

He realized then that you were important to him, too.

So he allowed himself to keep you around. He deserved that much for everything he's been through. Just so long as you were a part of his human life and not his demon one.

But fate had a funny way of playing things out. He should've known he couldn't keep this part of his life a secret from you forever. He just didn't expect it so suddenly.

Hearing your voice above the others shouting at him from the stands. He thought he might've been imagining it at first, but then he caught a glimpse of you from over the other demon's shoulder. The one that had threatened his mother's life with a push of a button.

He could see that you were nervous. Frustrated would have been a better word. As if you were mad he was letting himself get hurt.

You'd called him an idiot then too, after he won. Jumping down from the stadium and rushing over. Unfazed by the bloodthirsty creatures around you.

"You're such a dumbass. Making a big show out of nothing and letting that guy cut up your face. Let me see how bad it is." You scolded as you grabbed his chin and moved his head around. Inspecting the fresh slashes on his cheek.

"You're here?" He asked, still processing the fact that you were right in front of him. That somehow you managed to find your way back to him.

"Yes??? I don't think he hit you hard enough to have a concussion."

Kurama had to step away from you. All of a sudden overwhelmed because there was no way you were inspecting his injury right now. There was no way you were still treating him like nothing happened. Like he didn't just kill someone right in front of you.

"Why?" It was the only thing he could think to ask. Rendered speechless for the first time in forever.

"Why what?"

"Why are you here? How much do you know?"

How much did that troublesome reaper tell you?

"I'm here because my stupid best friend decided to get himself into trouble without telling me. Did you really think I wouldn't worry about you being gone for weeks? That I wouldn't get suspicious?" You used the sleeve of your shirt to wipe the blood off his face.

"I didn't want you involved." Came his answer. He still didn't know how much you knew. If now was the time to be completely transparent.

"Then you shouldn't have agreed to be my friend. To be honest, I'm a little hurt you didn't even bother to tell me. Let me guess, you thought I would freak out if you told me you were a demon?"

Ah, so you knew everything. Which meant so did the rest of the girls with you. He wanted to be upset at Botan's lack of ability to keep secrets, but he couldn't have been any more relieved.

"You know me almost as good as myself. Though it's surprising you're taking this so well." He allowed himself to relax in your presence. To let you continue inspecting his minor injuries.

"You really think I would care after all we've been through? For someone who's supposedly hundreds of years old, you sure are an idiot Shuichi."

"Shuichi..." He didn't know why his name sounded so foreign coming from you. Maybe a part of him expected you to call him 'Kurama' now that you knew the truth. Or perhaps he just wasn't used to hearing it when he wasn't trying to keep up appearances.

"Yeah? Do you want me to use your tough guy demon name instead? Don't wanna be embarrassed in front of your friends?" Your tone was teasing. And while he would have loved to hear his true name come from your lips, he couldn't deny liking the idea of only you having the privilege to call him Shuichi.

"No. I like it when you use my human name instead. Whatever feels natural for you."

"Alright, but you better promise not to keep any more secrets from me."

He was still cautious with you around, but it was more for your safety than anything. Though he should've been more careful with himself, too. It'd only be more stressful to you the worse he got injured. Still he couldn't promise you that he'd come out completely unscathed.

"You let that human walk all over you like the detective with his woman."

The sound of Hiei's voice brought him back to the present. Hearing the amusement that came with it at Kurama's show of obedience with you. The way he let you get after him for being careless.

"True they have a rather loud mouth, but it comes from a good place. I don't mind all that much, not when they've gone out of their way to mend my injuries. Or would you rather I go to Yukina instead?" A small jest that was made to get the three eyed demon off his back.

But Hiei knew what he was doing and wouldn't be taking the bait this time. Not when he knew he had the upper hand in this conversation.

"You'd give me the opportunity to steal your precious mate while you were distracted?" And judging by Kurama's small glare, he was right.

"... We're just friends." It sounded like he was trying to convince himself. And in a sense he was. He'd never really thought of you in that light. At least, not until recently.

"Hmm." A unimpressed noise before you stumbled in.

Smiling triumphantly after having just tousled with Yusuke and an unfortunate Kuwabara who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The grin wiped off your face seeing Kurama up and about.

"Hey! Did I say you could get up and walk?!? You've lost way too much blood to be moving around! Get your ass back to bed right now!"

"I heal at a much faster rate, remember. I should be just fine." He tried to diffuse, but you weren't having it.

"You're not getting out of this one fox boy. Go lie down or so help me Shuichi, I'll knock you out myself!"

Again you'd used his human name. Who you knew him as. And despite your crude words, he could feel his heart skip a few beats.

Friends made each other's hearts beat a little faster, right?

They sometimes shared kisses with each other during a moment of celebration.

And sometimes, maybe sometimes they thought about what life would be like to wake up next to the other every morning.

"Stay with me and I won't move a muscle."

Airheaded S/O Head cannons #1 Kurama

He finds you incredibly endearing

You had piqued his interest from the very beginning

You were carrying a knocked-out Yusuke towards the meeting area for the dark tournament

Demons were staring you down and for some reason you were unfazed

You were human right????

But then you noticed Kuwabara and the blank look on your face was replaced with uncontainable joy

You'd dropped Yusuke and ran over rambling on about how excited you were to be the fifth fighter

Then it dawned on you that the weight you were carrying was gone

The panic on your face was adorable as you backtracked towards a sleeping Yusuke

Kurama kept an eye on you from then on.

He had his suspicions on why Yusuke picked you for the tournament

Perhaps you were there to just fill up the missing space, however it seemed unlikely their trouble making friend would invite an unsuspecting human

He was proven correct during the preliminaries of the tournament

"Kuwabara, this is the worst trip I've ever been on," you whined.

"I know what you mean, they could have at least had a dinner service or something."

"Quit complaining you fools. We're here to fight, not to indulge in your human whims," Hiei snapped.

"Wow, so much attitude for such a little man."

Kurama was about to hold Hiei back from killing you when the captain of the ship announced the preliminaries were beginning

"Why don't you prove your use and go up there." And from Hiei's tone, it wasn't a suggestion. It was an order.

So there you went, tripping every third step up the platform and constantly bumping into other demons

"That fool won't last a second up there."

"Patience Hiei. We'll see soon enough."

Kurama was almost convinced you would surrender the second the round started, but as he looked over to Kuwabara he couldn't help but notice his relaxed expression.

"You know something?"

Kuwabara only smiled

"I wouldn't worry about it. When it comes to Y/n, these demons won't stand a chance."

And as soon as the round began, an extremely powerful aura washed over the entire ship.

It was almost suffocating

And it was coming from the idiot how couldn't tell their right from their left.

The demons up there with you fell to their knees and the ones on the ground trembled in fear.

From that point on you had Kurama's respect (and his attention)

You got lost finding your way back to the hotel room?

Kurama finds your spirit energy and leads you back, guiding you by your hand so you don't wander off

Constantly tripping over yourself?

Kurama has vines pulling you up and steadying you.

You don't realize a demon's threatening you?

Kurama is behind you glaring at them, silently daring them to test their luck.

He knows you can protect yourself perfectly fine, but would prefer if you stay out of trouble

He also knows you won't because you and Yusuke are attached to the hip. And where that boy goes, trouble follows.

Realizes he likes you after a run in with Karasu.

Karasu had just threatened Kurama with his ability.

And you, seeing Kurama (the most put together member) actually scared, were beyond pissed.

"HEY! FREAK WITH THE MASK! THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MY FRIEND!!!"

And for what felt like an eternity, Kurama willed you to run away. To leave before Karasu touched you.

"My, my. You're a tough one aren't you."

But you only seethed further, unaware that he could kill you with just one touch

"I'LL SHOW YOU TOUGH WHEN MY FOOT'S HALFWAY UP YOUR ASS!" And then your spirit energy spiked.

"Careful, wouldn't want to cause a scene. Why don't we save it for tomorrow?"

It was a split second

A moment of strict impulse

A moment that was forever precious to the demon fox

You had punched Karasu with everything you had and then moved towards Kurama's side.

You were a fool for angering the other demon, but a big part of Kurama was glad you didn't back down

You hadn't given into intimidation like he did

You weren't fazed or concerned about what came next

You were just focused on him.

And as you hauled him up, he found a new strength.

From that point on you were his

He wouldn't try courting you using the usual methods knowing they would be useless on you

But he'd been around you long enough to know the gestures you'd appreciate

He'd occasionally spar with you in his demon form as a treat.

Only if you were on your best behavior

He'd make you promises to get stronger so that you wouldn't be forced to fight

He'd take you out on arcade dates and watch your excitement from the side as you played

He knows being forward with you is the best way to get his feelings across, so he invites you over to meet his mother and specifically tells you it's a date.

And because you're you, you go "Oh, a date," 😏

But you don't realize it's an actual date.

Shiori loves you

You two get along so well and he's glad

Surprisingly, you offer to help her with dinner and don't break anything????

He's shocked

But impressed

You do almost blow his demon cover though.

"I'm so glad Shuichi finally found somebody. I was worried I'd never have any grandchildren."

But the last part went unheard as you visibly bluescreened

"Shuichi???? But his name is-"

"Y/n why don't you help me set the table?"

And there you go, turning around and face planting on the floor, much to his mother's shock

But then a spark of brilliance shines through and you realize Kurama's distracted you.

"Ohhh. Oops."

By the end of the night you still think you're just hanging out.

It's not until he actually kisses you that you everything clicks.

"This was a date-date?????" Like a romantic date? Like an I like you date???"

And his heart just melts

You're so stupid it's adorable

Does confuse you on purpose because he likes seeing your face go blank.

Can you blame him?

He is still a demon after all

"Kurama, leave the poor human alone," Hiei chastised.

"I don't know what you're talking about," the fox said while you were currently trying to figure out why the number 6 was scared of 7.

Calls you dearest and love.

Slips in fool if he's healing you from a fight (affectionately of course)

Kurama does have his moments of jealously, but it's just his demon side rearing it's head.

He's mostly jealous about how much time you spend with Yusuke, and how his scent ligers on you when you get back

But he knows at the end of the day that it's him you chose.

And as you left with him to the demon world he knew it was him who you'd stay with.

Hiei is...a little oblivious in all honesty, he probably thinks you did something to him....

But as soon as he shows how different he acts around you and the others notice this, they will confront Hiei about it.

Once they say his in love, the first thing his gonna in a lot of in denial.

Like how can he fall for a weak human?? Thats the question that runs through his brain all the time.

He thought that it was lust, like a sexual thing but he was wrong....his the definition of 'He fell first and fell harder'.

Once he realizes that he actually wants you to be his mate for life, he will never ever let you go.

He will do these little things that will show how he cares for you, and you might think its because y'all are friends but nooo, he never did those things to Kurama or the others now did he?

He wanted you to confess first but of course in the end this man is impatient soo he decided to confess first!

''Go out with me mortal'' Hiei saids to you looking straight into your eyes ''W-What?'' You respond ''Did I stutter?'' He snarled and you just nod while blushing and thats how y'all because a couple!

Basically when Hiei realizes his in love, the first thing he'll do is be in denial, about how he could fall for a human.

Then he'll have a talk session with Kurama, probs asking for advice, waits for you to confess first(But gets impatient so in the end confesses first) and dropping barely noticeable hints.

Hiei having a crush is very much new to him, so do cut him some slack~

Unlike Hiei there's no denial, its more like ''What am I feeling?''

When he asks his mom and tells her everything, he discovers that what he feeling was love....

Love for you? How unexpected.

At first he would try to push those feelings away since he doesn't want you to get involved in things that are none of your business.

Yoko at first also just wanted to use you for...somethings but soon fell hard for you just like Shuichi did.

I feel like the time when Shuichi confessed to you, Yoko was itching to take over Shuichi and just kiss hug you lol

He definitely confesses first, with the flowers and beneath a tree.

''Are you be free this coming weekend?'' Kurama asked kissing your Backhand, you blushed and just nodded to his question due to being embarrassed. ''Hm..good, I would love to take you on a...date~'' Kurama said smiling tenderly at you but his cheeks have darken shades of pink. ''O-Oh...i..I'll see you then!'' You unintentionally yell, he just chuckles and kissed your backhand again.

When Kurama falls in love, as I stated above. He falls hard.

He will be the best boyfriend you'll ever have!(Not like you guys will break up)

Heyyyy so idk if you write for male readers, but can you write a Kurama x Male!Reader(if not male then gender neutral at the very least) that takes place during the Dark Tournament Arc and Y/N sees Kurama in his demon form for the first time and is kinda like "OH NO HE'S HOT" and is just kinda panicking because they just KNOW that their face is about as red as a tomato right now and they don't know how to deal.

Currently it was Kurama vs Ura Urashima.

You were nervous of course, I mean you did have a huge crush on him so it'd be a shame if he died when you haven't confessed to him yet-

Yea...you definitely had a morbid way of thinking things.

''I'm sure Kurama's got this!'' Botan said smiling at you, an ''Huh?'' was all you responded and Botan spoke again ''I know you've got a BIG crush on him-'' Before you could let her finish her sentence you threw your hands on her mouth, shutting her up.

''Botann!'' You whisper-yell at her, glaring. ''Hehehehe~'' She just giggled and you just pulled your hands back focusing on the fight.

As soon as your gaze felt to the stadium you were shocked to see Kurama laying on the ground...in pain

Suddenly lots of smoke surrounded the stadium and you(and everyone else) couldn't see inside...

Now you were actually starting to worry.....

''K-Kurama....'' You whisper out his name and suddenly you felt a hug wave of powerful demon energy from the stadium....

'This energy...is it Kurama's or? No...it can't be...' You knew about Kurama's secret...

About him being a famous fox demon named 'Yoko'

But you haven't seen his demon form yet.

Until now

You heard a yell from the stadium and when the all the smoke subsided, you saw a low level demon dead.

Your eyes darted to the other side of the stadium and you swore that your heart skipped a beat...

There he stood in all his glory, beautiful sliver hair, ears and tail. Yea that guy was definitely the Shuichi you know, well his Yoko now-

''Beautiful...'' You couldn't help but whisper out, it seem like the demon fox heard you because he looked straight at you with a slight smirk present on his face.

You blush and excuse yourself to Botan and the other girls.

''Wait where you going!?'' Botan yelled through the crowd, ''J-Just gonna get some fresh air!'' You yell back at her pushing through the crowd, all the while trying to hide your red face.

Botan huffed and went back to Shizuru, Yukina and Keiko

''Hm...his probably flustered seeing Kurama's demon form'' Shizuru said smirking a bit.

''Oh I knew he loved Kurama!'' Botan yelled happily. All the while Keiko and Yukina were just a tad confused.

Back to you, you were now inside of your teams locker room, and you were hiding your face in your hands while thinking of ways to calm your beating heart down, when suddenly the door opened.

You looked by the door and widened your eyes with panic, there was Yoko standing there proudly and....smirking?

This man does things to you....

''Y-Yoko! Ah...are you injured?'' You ask the fox demon standing from the bench you were sitting on.

''Barely'' He responded, god his voice was as sweet as honey and deep as chocolate....he was so hot..his ams look so strong-

''Hm...do you like staring at me?'' You heard him say as you broke you gaze from his arms.

''S-Sorry....'' You mumbled out still looking away from him, ''You know...I don't know what Shuichi saw in you that he was smitten by you..'' Yoko said as he walked closer to you.

Your eyes widened in shocked at this and you looked at him with a blush, ''W-What...?'' You ask unsure of what to respond.

Yoko chuckled and rest his hand on the wall beside you, successfully trapping you in his gaze, looking at you with something present in his eyes you can't quite understand.

Yoko then chuckled and started to speak again ''Now I know why he was so smitten by you...'' He said with a smirk.

You at him confused yet flustered as he spoke again ''Your beautiful for a guy...'' He said grabbing your chin.

You were at a lost for words and very much red faced by now, you never expected your long time crush(Well now Yoko) likes you...

Oh the things this man makes you feel....

You were broken away from your thoughts as Yoko started leaning more closer at your face.....was he gonna kiss you??

You freeze at the spot as Yoko captured your lips....

Oh my god....

His lips is so soft...you felt like you were on cloud nine right now....

You soon closed your eyes and kissed Yoko back. After a few minutes of kissing, you both soon broke apart and Yoko looked at you with love...

Wait....

''Your gay?'' You suddenly ask with a curious face on, Yoko laughed at that and said ''Well...only Shuichi can answer that...but..I like you so isn't that enough?'' He said with a smile.

''I guess...'' You mumble out, Yoko smiled again and stepped away from you speaking once again ''I'll see you sometime again my treasure~'' He said and suddenly smoke filled the locket room.

You coughed out ad cleared the smoke away calling out Yoko's name multiple times. ''I'm afraid Yoko's time has expire'' You heard a familiar voice say.

Your Vision soon cleared out and you saw Shuichi in all his glory smiling at you. ''Y-Your back!'' You yell happily.

He chuckled and held your hands looking at you lovingly, ''I apologize for not confessing sooner...I wanted to wait for the right time until Yoko took control of course...'' He said with a sigh.

You just smile and held his hands tighter, ''Its fine...I'm just happy to know you like me ahahahaha...'' You say with a laugh.

''Then...would you accept me as your boyfriend, and you as my boyfriend?'' He asked the question you were waiting for.

You smiled happily and hugged him tightly while yelling lots yeses~

You soon let go of him and you both walked back to the arena, ''I promise after this tournament I'll take you on a proper date'' Shuichi said with a smile.

You smile back him and kissed him on the cheek.....

''I'll be waiting then''

Meanwhile the others:

''Whats taking Kurama so long? We have a tournament to win!'' Kuwabara yelled angrily, Botan heard this(Somehow) and yelled from the crowd.

''LET KURAMA AND Y/N TAKE THEIR TIME!'' She yelled making the girls(Expect Shizuru) sweat drop at this..
