What will happen to the Bee Miraculous?
Ok guys, turns out the next episode may not air today so I’m just gonna spend time ranting about something that I have seen flying around, mostly about the Bee Miraculous that will soon be entering the series. A lot of people want to see the Bee Miraculous given to Sabrina instead of Chloe, the future miraulous holder, and the utter thought of that happening just makes me cringe.
Ok now, I see where everyone is going with the theory. Chloe is, most of the time, a terrible person, but is that really all that she was made to be? I also think that out of everybody else, Sabrina should be the last person who deserves a miraculous right now.
She may seem like someone who can gain confidence, or learn to grow a spine, but I just don’t see hat happening with her character that much. We have seen barely any change from season 1 to season 2 of how she acts, she continues to be a sidekick to Chloe and always bends under someone else through bribery or intimidation. WE DO NOT NEED A SUPERHERO THAT DOES THAT!! A hero is suppose to take initiative, while also working as a team. None of the heroes coming into the show are sidekicks, they are their own heroes. Becoming a miraculous hero means you have to know how to stand in your own two feet, and that is something Sabrina’s character was not meant to do. From all that we have seen of her, she needs someone to follow. This can be seen in the Evillustrator episode where she jumps straight from being Chloes BFF to Marinettes. She didn’t use any of that time to do things for herself. Many would argue that she actually did stand up to Chloe when Marinette pointed it that she didn’t need to do her dirty work, but that just proves my point even more. She waited for Marinette to speak up for her, then followed along. She would never have done it on her own. All through the series, you see Sabrina jumping back and fourth from being nice to being mean, and she is usually mean when Chloe is. This shows that Sabrina will, not only stick to the side of bad, but also become bad in the process. It would be extreamly dangerous to grant someone like her magical powers, because who knows where her loyalties will lie. Would she become her own hero, or would Hawkmoth manipulate her into becoming his little sidekick? If you have to ask that question about someone, then they are not ready to become a hero.
Now let’s go to Chloe who, unlike Sabrina, has undergone a good bit of character development since the start of the series. Yes, she has done some bad things, but one thing that people seem to ignore is the fact that Chloe has the potential to become a better person! Let’s look at the Despair Bear episode in season 2, where Adrien said he wouldn’t be Chloe’s friend unless she learned to be nice to people. After this, Chloe took his advice and seeked help to learn how to be a better person, and actually succeeded for a short time. Sure, she wasn’t the best at it, but it gives proof that she isn’t as bad a person as people make her out to be and is able to do good things. Also, one of the biggest Chloe moments in the show was when she stopped Chat Noir from harming Ladybug with his Cataclysm. She not only saved Ladybug, but decided to do it without even a second of hesitation. She took the situation into her own hands and did what she had to do to make sure her hero was safe. In my eyes, that just screams potential for a future hero.
I know a lot of people hate Chloe, but you have to admit there is still so much about her that we do not know. What happened to her mother? How did she become the way she is? Was it all because of how she was raised? We are only scraping the top layer of Chloe, and I personally can’t wait for when we start to explore more about her character. For Sabrina, I feel that this is all we are going to see. She doesn’t seem to have a huge, mysterious backstory, so it would take some work to start redeeming her into a hero quality person.
Now let’s keep in mind, the Bee Miraculous hasn’t even been given out yet! We still have time to sort this all out, but please take a second and consider this. Considering how much we still don’t know about Chloe, it is too soon to judge whether or not she is truly a bad person or not. Give her a chance to redeem herself, because it is clear that she can if she really tries. Sabrina, even though she is still a young character and has a lot to learn, just doesn’t seem like the right person to hold a miraculous, especially this soon in the series. Maybe in the future she will step up and prove herself, but right now, she has a lot of growing to do.
Ok, MLB rant over, you all have a wonderful day! If I missed some evidence or you wanna share an opinion, comment below! I would like to hear other sides.
