And it’s normal to beginners to fail but what important is to keep try with your high JOSH
If you ask me what is affiliate marketing 
Then in simple word:
1). Affiliate marketing is a type of performance base on marketing in which a business rewards for each visitors or customer broad by affiliates on marketing effort
    OR
 2). Affiliate Marketing is the process by which an affiliate earns a Commission for marketing another person's company’s product
   OR
3). the affiliate simply searches for a product then promotes that product and earns a piece of the profit from it.

 Why mostly we failed the affiliate market because we lack hard work and consistency which is the most important thing in all other kinds of business.
 In my opinion affiliate marketing is all about connecting the buyers with the sellers and most of the market use it as an easy task and can be done quickly but practical it requires smart strategies.

         The main reason people fail at affiliate marketing is that they don’t pick the right niche from the start. This leads to picking the wrong keywords to write about, picking the wrong products and most of all not giving things enough time to grow.
The niche for your website should be broad enough so you have a lot to talk about, while also small enough so you have a niche to talk about.
Make sure to stay away from very competitive niches that already have a lot of affiliate marketers.
2. Picking the wrong Affiliate Program  
           Affiliate marketing isn’t just about advertisements but also about the programs that will convert the clicks into payments for you.
Depending on the type of items you are selling, you will need a different affiliate program.
If you are promoting physical products and then use Amazon Associates.
The niche websites can use Amazon to convert between 10% to 20% of the visitors.
You can also offer recurring programs with nonphysical programs
  Promoting the Wrong Products
You should not promote the same products that everyone else is doing. Instead, focus on actually using the product yourself.
Best one will be buying the product yourself and using yourself as a primary source.
 Dive into the products instead of focusing on commissions. Don’t think it’s enough to provide superficial product information.
3. Not Hyper linking your Links more  
  When you are writing content, you need to focus on promoting your product links through the article. You don’t just need to promote the product link at the end with your affiliate link, but instead you should talk about the product link through the article.
  4. Using Wrong Keywords
      Instead of focusing more on writing reviews about products or informational articles, you should be focusing on articles that answer the questions your audience wants to have answered.
Picking the right keywords will help you rank in the search.
You should be using niche-focused keywords, and you might even decide to look at some of the articles of your competition and see what keywords they are using.
As most people think finding keywords isn’t as hard they think, and the majority of the keywords are simply variations of the topic of your website.
 5. Poor Content creation
         The beginning of the article should answer the question that the article is about, and they will be able to see the article answer right from the start.
You should also break your articles into sections, preventing long walls of text and bored readers.

       If you search it, you will find more competitors and the top of the search engine ranking so if you just ignore it and do not learn mostly that how affiliate marketing really works, for sure you will definitely fail.
However, if you still have guts to fight and complete with them so it's easy for you to this successful in marketing
About products, all of those products have a ton of websites promoting them, and you need to find one that’s a bit more noticeable.
You should also go deep into the topic you have chosen because most websites in these niches are often surface-level knowledge.
If you can go a few levels deep into, then you will be able to have a better niche.
 7. Lack of time management:
       most common mistake in Affiliate marketing is that the think if we do work just for 2 hours only, we can earn in thousands of dollars within a month but no it's wrong if you have a proper schedule like a consistent time management then you can easily earn the biggest amount ever you have but for that you had to focus on your business
if we talk about time
you need to at least minimum 2 hours and maximum for 10 hours on your ability.
if we talk about number of publishing articles    
. Publishing 3 to 4 articles a week is something that is a better schedule.
The more you post, the more content you have on the website, the higher chances people will find it.
8.  Learn Everything from Everyone
        Even after lots of hard work, it’s not working then there is something wrong. You are making mistakes with many things. A skilled person makes 10 times more from affiliate sales than an unskilled person. 
Here’s what you can learn from them –
      How to sell products?
      How to be better at affiliate marketing?      
       How to market content?
     What are the needs of the customer?
    What approach appeals to the kind of customer you receive?
     and more.
This is one of the top reasons why affiliate marketing does not work. You must be willing to do a lot more than just promote products. Put your hands into copy writing, learn marketing, create videos and use multiple social media applications. You never know what platform your customers are using. 
Lack of interest can block progress. So, if you want to contribute towards your affiliate marketing success rate, you should be interested in it.
 9. Be Patient Enough
  In affiliate marketing possibly you may receive one visitor every day or not at all. You have to be patient and wait for the results.
If you know you are working hard, you will get results. You can improve your ways to reach customers without changing the business.
In some cases communication become a barrier. Learn ways to connect with your customers. It will eventually contribute to more sales.
  10. No Passion 
       If you are just working from money and you don't have knowledge or interest in it, then it's going to be one of the biggest drop backs for you.
so whenever you do affiliate marketing choose your niece which is very closely to something you are passionate about, you have knowledge about it or you are interested in or you want to learn about that means like education, fitness, health, fashion, cooking and etc
  11. Lack of discipline
  Without self discipline you are going to fail in the marketing business. Motivating yourself and lack of focus can be your drawback.
Suppose you are in the middle of work you have done something outside your work like watching YouTube, playing games, chatting, just watching reels. Then you are not disciplining yourself. You need to move focus and you have to make it tough to reach your goal.
 12. Not building Email list
  Most common mistakes affiliate marketers make is not building an email list from the start.
It’s one of the most powerful marketing tools you have, and it should be a top priority for any affiliate marketer. Email lists are so valuable because they give you a direct line of communication with your audience.
You can use your email list to promote new products, drive traffic to your website, or even stay in touch with your readers.
