soooo for royal trio day five: au i wanted to have a whole one shot ready but unfortunately,, life. so, in its place i present to you a short excerpt from what i have written. it isn't explicitly royal trio yet but i promise the whole au will be once there's more of it. my plan is to write this au as a series of one shots written whenever the muse strikes me next as a secondary wip.
royal trio week - day five - au
Sumire’s spent her whole life looking up to Kasumi. Watching her, admiring her, mirroring her every action and opinion. In a sense, that was all training for this, now. Pretending to be Kasumi will be easy. Kasumi was only the heir to the Yoshizawa line, betrothed to the Emperor’s son, and the perfect princess in every way. Polite, social, kind, and above all—beloved by everyone who knew her. All while making it look easy.
You’re nothing like Lady Kasumi.
Sumire grits her teeth and opens her eyes to glare at the Persona. I told you to leave me alone, she bites back.
I miss Lady Kasumi.
Sumire’s glare softens. Tears well up in her eyes, though she fights not to allow them to fall. I miss her too, she thinks, but does not project to the Persona. She’s not certain if that will make any difference. Was the Persona privy to her every thought—each traitorous, pathetic emotion? She won’t ask. Sumire would rather pretend the Persona doesn’t exist at all. Besides, she shouldn’t be thinking about any of this—about the Persona, about Kasumi, and the past. She’ll only break down and hasten the fate that's coming for her eventually.
Sumire must think of the present alone. The past is gone, the future unknown, and anything but the here and now ultimately irrelevant. Grief can come later—better yet, not at all.
So Sumire tucks away all her fear, sorrow, and anger, and shoves it into the dark recesses of her mind which holds the events that led her to this carriage ride. And determines never to think of them again. After all, she is Yoshizawa Kasumi, and Kasumi never doubted herself. She seized the day without hesitation. She never regretted a thing.
A princess can't afford to regret.
She peeks out through the blinds again. It’s something Kasumi would do, after all; unable to contain her excitement, wishing to familiarize herself with her new people. She doesn’t think about her family. She doesn't think about the lies. Most of all, she doesn't think about the dried flakes of blood still sticking to the undersides of her fingernails.
When she steps out of the carriage, Kasumi wears a flawless smile. The carefully applied beauty mark on her cheek remains perfectly in place, unsmudged by tears. She allows her servants to bustle about and escort her the short distance to the foot of the Palace, where the man she will one day wed stands to greet her.
His smile is just as wide as her own. And equally as fake.
“Princess Yoshizawa Kasumi,” the prince intones, his voice sweet and buttery. “It is an honor to welcome you to your new home.”
“I am honored to come home,” says Princess Kasumi, completing the proper and respectful exchange. She bows to the boy who’s haunted her dreams for months and occupied most of her waking thoughts. He utterly enraptured her heart and soul from the moment her sister—from the moment she received his very first letter. “Prince Shido Goro.”

Thanks for tagging me @swordfaery :3
Rules: shuffle your ‘on repeat’ playlist and post the first 10 tracks, then list 10 songs you really like, each by a different artist. then tag 10 people to do the same thing.
I know I don’t have to but don’t mind me I’m also going to be talking a bit about these songs
Ftp by MASTER BOOT RECORD -> I found this song by looking for music for my Faith: The Unholy Trilogy playlist, I don’t think I’ve come across synthesised heavy metal before so this was quite interesting. Their side project Keygen Church is also pretty good, if anything I’d recommend that over MASTER BOOT RECORD given their use of organ and sick ‘classical Baroque influence’.
White Noiz by Akira Yamaoka -> I recently was watching Gab Smolders’ playthrough of Silent Hill, so I decided to check out the franchise’s various soundtracks. It’s not my favourite song but I like the atmosphere.
Roygbiv by Boards of Canada -> I’ve been checking out IDM so obviously BoC were a staple to get into. I haven’t really connected with much of their music but this is one of the ones that I really like. I find it fascinating that the album is entirely instrumental save for some audio clips of old Sesame Street episodes sporadically scattered throughout. I’m not sure if there’s a reason why this song was titled Roygbiv, but I do think either way it fits with the aesthetic and atmosphere (as for those who don’t know Roygbiv is an acronym listing the colours of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet).
Somebody Told Me by The Killers -> I just wanted to listen to all of Hot Fuss, but I do find it funny that I knew this song first from Måneskin’s cover of it.
Sonne by Rammstein -> Ah yes one of the songs I’ll put on while pacing for hours thinking about my blorbos and OCs. Certified vampire song.
Ladykillers by Lush -> towards the end of last year I was watching Gregg Araki’s filmography and checking out shoegaze bands which is how I got around to Lush. I wish i could look half as cool as Miki Berenyi does with bright red hair.
Little Girls by Oingo Boingo -> the JoJo brainrot is real so I decided to check out Oingo Boingo since they were referenced in the show, to be honest there’s no way I can describe their music other than it just being tasty. It’s great, I want to eat it. And it always feels very awkward having to explain how this (so far) is my favourite song by them and no it is not weird I prommy.
Halls of Illusions by Insane Clown Posse -> Nothing much to say, certified juggalo moment.
Theme of Laura by Akira Yamaoka -> once again Silent Hill brought me here, tho this is my favourite track so far from the soundtracks.
Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge -> I’m always on the look out for more goth music in whatever form it comes in, I’ll have to check the rest of their stuff out for more goth rock. That being said this probably just ended up on my ‘on repeat’ playlist due to it being on an OC’s playlists lol.
Now for the next 10 songs that I really like:
Tagging: @loverlesbian @sarenite @tigraine-mantear @femtopulsed @croissantcitysucks @deadrunin @mercymorncristabel @astridcookie @smarterthantheaverageloser @arofication (also no pressure if you don’t want to do this)

hi tumblr user realive-thespians pray tell what would you answer for questions 2 and 8
here is a link to the ask game [insert thing here] of the summer check it out if you’d like
hello tunglr user chapterofrebirth here you are:
2.) what is your favorite quote from any part of revue starlight (anime, game, stageplays, movie, 4koma, credit card, etc.)?
there are so many good quotes it’s really difficult to choose. i immediately think of the stuff in the movie, the stuff towards the end of the anime, yuyuko and ichie grilling rui and fumi in arcana arcadia, i think of the little “revue of hunger” joke from the 4koma comics that sometimes jumps me while i’m trying to pass as normal in public— there’s a Lot but for the sake of a single quote i’ll just pick one that really struck me and it’s simple. it’s when amemiya and elle are talking:
Amemiya: Do you like writing stories?
Elle: Huh...?
Amemiya: I love it.
there’s no voice acting for amemiya and it’s a simple interaction but in my mind i place a lot of emotion in that line and it just. it’s the writers writing through the writers and the interaction strikes writers and makers of stories and it’s. it’s good :,]
oh but actually i also really adored the line in the credit card that went like 94—
8.) what is a story you would like to see covered in a card set, and which characters would you cast for it? (the story can be from anywhere, does not necessarily have to be theater.)
so there’s this short russian folktale i’ve grown overly attached to, it’s about a cat named catafay who comes to a forest and gets instantly promoted to “governor of the woods with a wife” by lying. he just lies and wins. it’s a short tale but it’s fun and it has 5 distinguishable characters: catafay the cat, liza the fox, a hare who tells them some important information, and the antagonists brother wolf and brother bear. i think yachiyo would enjoy playing a character like catafay. i’d put mei fan as liza because liza also lies and wins and mei fan recently did that in revue siegfeld so mark of character development i guess? i think i’d make shiori the hare, michiru the wolf, and akira the bear. this will all make sense if you read the story (linked under the words “russian folktale”) i prommy
edit: I’m a fool. catafay mei fan, yachiyo liza. you might be wondering who this is important to and the answer is simple: me.

Starira MBTI III - Frontier
1. Seisho
2. Siegfeld
3. Frontier
4. Rinmeikan
Aruru Otsuki: ENFP
Just go and reread Karen’s entry.
FJDKSLDKL in all seriousness leaps and bounds of Ne from both of them. There’s a reason they often catch themselves saying the same things and why Karen sees so much of herself in Aruru. Not only are they both Ne doms, they’re the exact same type! Ne and Fi together hold that naturally sunny and joyful disposition they both have, and that extreme, passionate love for the people they’re close to. And her Ne may be even higher off the charts than Karen’s. From the entirety of Captain Twins, to improvising lines on stage with Misora as kids, to being the embodiment of Frontier’s free-spirit, pioneering nature - all of this is extroverted intuition, chasing at every possibility under the sun, no matter how absurd it may seem. Her STRONG tertiary Te -- which is much stronger than Karen's, by the way -- supports her dominant Ne, and this is where her gung-ho attitude comes from. “We have to write our own play?? No problem, wheel out the whiteboard! Nobody has an idea yet?? That’s fine, I’ll throw one out and get the ball rolling! Misora and I need three more people for our play? What are we waiting for, let’s go find them!!” All of this is tertiary extroverted Thinking, implementing your ideas out in the world.
Misora Kano: ISTP
She is so compelling!!! I wish we got to see more out of her!! She's already cultivated so many of her talents (and her function stack is pretty strong for such a young age too) - she'd really shine if you just gave her the spotlight! The second ISTP in this series who had her inferior Fe develop super early due to having 1) a ton of siblings and working with so many people from such a young age and 2) a gf with Fi in her dom/aux slot. I’m gonna start with her Fe again because, like Futaba’s, it’s so strong for how young she is - she is quicker to pay attention to social convention than Fi-aux Aruru, scolding her whenever she refers to older Karen by her first name, for example (don't let her see Aruru call Akira -chan). We see aux Se in how energetic and in the moment she is - she grew up acting and doing backstage work and helping her family with their troupe, and we never really see her stuck in her head or wondering about things that aren’t in the here-and-now. Her partnership with ENFJ Michiru to create a new Troupe is going to be SO SO GOOD in the future. They really are going to draw the best out of each other. As polar opposites, they have the exact same functions, just in reverse (like Karen and Junna, or Hikari and Ichie)! So Misora has Ti-Se-Ni-Fe, and Michiru has Fe-Ni-Se-Ti. It’s the perfect setup for them to complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
Honestly, I really wish we saw more out of Misora - she deserves more than just being Aruru’s sidekick, and that Feeling function in her inferior slot (extroverted, no less) means that it’s difficult for her to communicate what exactly it is that she wants, both for herself and from others. Like with Mahiru, it’s intuitively hard for her to speak up and say “Hey, I feel like I’m being left behind”. Somebody needs to tap Aruru on the shoulder and communicate that to her - Fe-dom Tsukasa, maybe, or ideally, Misora herself. I think that she’s been kind of shouldered into the straight-man role not just by Aruru but everyone at Frontier because they all have such big personalities (like...she’s got Aruru and Lalafin taking up space, which is already more than enough), and she’s likely been in this position before. She’s been helping her parents run a troupe since she was a child, and now she’s (unfortunately) playing second fiddle to Aruru for the most part at Frontier. She’s been mostly stuck using her Ti and Se, and I really really hope that AA has us seeing her use more of that tertiary Ni and advocating for the goals she has for herself. She deserves to shine so much!!
One final note - I find it so interesting that both ISTPs in this series have such strong senses of faith - Misora is cast as the Faith arcana (and, unlike some of the other girls who are cast as the “opposites” of their personalities, Misora’s seems true to hers), and Futaba obviously has that reverent faith in Kaoruko (and is canonically religious???). It’s a bit antithetical to the ISTP personality type, which values its individuality above all else and tends to be a bit of a rebel. I don’t have much to add here - it’s just an interesting observation.
Shizuha Kocho: INFJ
Lalafin: The Count was such a great actor! I’m sure he would’ve been great on stage too…
Shizuha: Heh heh, maybe!
Shizuha: But still, he never went back to his original persona even after his revenge. He had to stay as the count for the rest of his life.
Shizuha: And he was able to do that because he was good at becoming other people.
Shizuha: ...Although I cannot say if that meant he was happy.
Lalafin: Even after his revenge, he still wasn’t happy...That’s one point of view to make his sadness stand out even more!
Shizuha: Right?...Yes. I think I’ll stick to how I’m doing things now.
THE!! LOVE!! OF!! MY!! LIFE!!!!!!! I CANNOT OVERSTATE ENOUGH HOW MUCH I LOVE SHIZUHA KOCHO!!!! She was my first favorite character in the game (and still is!! But frontier gets no content :’)). As I said with Maya, INFJs are old souls - wise and idealistic, but typically reserved. Auxiliary extroverted Feeling shows up in how she suppresses herself so as not to intimidate or make others feel inferior - we see the exact same thing play out with INFJ sibling Koharu. She’s mysterious but amiable, kind and awe-inspiring - just like INFJ sibling Maya. And we see that token INFJ loneliness playing out with all three, as well. What I love most about Shizuha is that she’s a person of extremes. She is so cerebral and intelligent and dignified in a way that reminds you of Maya but she’s also so!!!! Fucked in the head!!!!! Ni doms baby!!!!!!! (I am fucking crazy. But i am free).
Unhealthy INFJs can develop this obsession with making themselves martyrs, and I don’t think I need to rehash out her AA conversation with Aruru (and her entire philosophy towards acting - see above quote) to get that across. I want to dive into this more. Truly I do. Shizuha deserves 10 pages of writing. But she is one of the last I'm writing and I've clicked through 3 different AA stories and accidentally found Rui and Yukko's first so I diverted and finished writing Yukko's entry and I've already spent so much time on this oh god the doc is already 18 pages single spaced uhhhh Shizuha my loveliest love I will write your character deep-dive later I prommy <333
(Also, seeing her synergy with Aruru is soo so cute. INFJ/ENFP supremacy!! Same dynamic as MayaKaren!)
Lalafin Nonomiya: ESFP
Tumblr media
(Se dom).
She’s so athletic and energetic and in-the-moment and improvisational and quick on her feet (Se, Se, Se)! Fi over Ti aux because she has a much more subjective view of what’s “fun” - “what do I want to do? Where do I want to go? What kind of character do I want to play???". She’s got that trademark genki energy that so many ExFPs share, particularly that childlike zeal that she and ESFP sister Ichie both have. In her own way, Lalafin embodies Frontier’s pioneering, fun-loving spirit just as much as Aruru.
Tsukasa: Lupin is usually portrayed as mysterious and polished, no? But the way you perform him is more fresh and open -- almost like the main character from a children’s book.
Lalafin: Oh! Come to think of it, the book on Lupin I read when I was younger was written for kids!
Lalafin: It was about this big and had a realistic image of Lupin right on the cover!!
I don’t really have too much to add. She’s just a perfect embodiment of that excitable, fun-loving Se and Fi dom/aux duo. Childlike and simplistic-appearing at a first glance, but there's such a fire in there - just compare her to her ESFP twin Ichie!
Tsukasa Ebisu: ENFJ
I can see that use of Se - love of fashion, sweets, dancing, going out and enjoying life - yes, she had overprotective parents and could just be making up for lost time, but I think that nice material things are something she just genuinely enjoys for herself as well. So at first I thought ESFP, but we can’t ignore that enormously caring attitude she has for others and the way she gravitates towards caretaker roles, which indicates more Fe than Fi. So ENFJ it is! She has that Fe and Se, and we see that inferior Ti in how she struggled to realize something was wrong when she was trapped in the play. I love, love, loved her leading role in the Arise All You Sons event and how she and Yachiyo interacted to bring out the best in each other - we saw Yachi using a lot of that aux Ti to support Tsukasa’s inferior Ti and dominant Fe!
Her dominant Fe is SOOOO clear and contrasts to every other girl in Arise All You Sons. She’s the first to go “hey, wait, hold on - I’m not sure what (inferior Ti) but something about this feels artificial, and I don’t think it’s actually going to help the kids”. Inferior Ti/Dominant Fe speaks before thinking too - “Why did I say that?! Why did I do x?!” - it isn’t until aux Ti Yachiyo shows up to help her that she’s able to work through her thoughts. While she can get stuck in the rut of her own mind sometimes, Tsukasa is one of the most caring, empathetic, and mature characters in the series - and she does all this without sacrificing her own autonomy and individuality, which can be difficult for an Fe-dom to do.

hey sorry if this seems rude but do you personally feel like Vegeta's redemption arc was well executed? I ask because these past days I've been thinking it over and I realize that to me I think it was kind of wasted until certain parts of gt and the anime super. It started okay in the frieza saga, had that 1 really good moment near the end of the cell saga then kind of got dropped in the buu saga till the end because he only "settled down" but still didn't show it really. sorry again for the rant and if it seems rude, I just would like to hear your opinion on this.
omg i don’t think this is rude at all, ur totally entitled to ur opinion bro!!
tbh i don’t have a ton of room to talk on this?? because i haven’t seen GT or super (or... the buu arc I KNOW LMAO I KNOW but i’m getting to it i prommy, i’m rewatching the series rn so i’ll get there soon!! i also know a bunch of plot points from buu sooo...)
i think my major issue with vegeta’s redemption is that it’s kinda framed in a way that people chalk it up to like. him having a family and that being the reason he stopped being such a bad dude LOL LIKE. IDK IT REALLY RUBS ME THE WRONG WAY THAT PEOPLE ARE LIKE “wow... all vegeta needed was a woman to settle him down....” like... no no i dont think thats the intended message here LOL
but i’m kinda digressing LOL
like i said, i can’t speak too much on anything past cell arc. but i feel rly mixed on vegeta’s characterization lol, i don’t think it’s a secret that i’ve always been kinda negative towards it simply bc i think it’s not really,, that well done MDMFMF I MEAN IT’S FINE I GUESS BUT people are always talking about how vegeta’s redemption is iconic or whatever but i rly just. don’t agree lol
again though i think i just kind of cringe at the idea of people being like “oh vegeta knocked up this stranger he barely knew and now he’s a good guy” like it feels very ,, idk. 😬
but like yeah okay i agree with u that i feel like,,, a lot of things are kind of glossed over ?? like i feel like at the beginning of the android arc,, he’s just kind of. suddenly there and suddenly a “good guy” (i use that term so fucking liberally here because. holy shit? cell arc vegeta?? LMFAO yikes he is a mess)
like i get what you mean. i definitely think vegeta should have had a more in-depth exploration in terms of redemption. i would’ve loved to see his man vs self struggle really written out buuuuut akira toriyama doesn’t even like vegeta so i guess it’s to be expected 😭
